Tony James Robinson

Services were held in Michigan for Tony James Robinson, 28, of Vacaville.

Born Dec. 2, 1969, in Torrance, Mr. Robinson died May 14, 1998, in Blanchard, Mich., after a short illness.

He attended Vacaville High School, graduating in 1988. He served in the U.S. Army and graduated from diving school in 1997. He was employed as a diver.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his parents, James and Erlinda of Vacaville; brothers, Jesse of Michigan, David of Dixon and Chris of Vacaville; sister, Kacey of  Washington; and a grandmother in Susanville and grandparents in Las Vegas.

Arrangements were handled by Clark Funeral Chapel, Inc. in Mount Pleasant, Mich.

Ines Rania Daguimol

Funeral services for Ines Rania Daguimol, 87, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Entombment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mrs. Daguimol died May 26, 1998, at home after a sudden illness.

Born Jan. 17, 1911, in Pinili Ilocos Norte, Philippine Islands, she lived in Fairfield for 35 years. She worked as a cashier at the Travis Air Force Base Exchange from 1960 to 1968. She was a member of the Fairfield-Vallejo Filipino Community, the Grand Lodge Legionarios del Trabajo in America, Lodge No. 127 in Vallejo, The American Legion Auxilary, Reams Post No. 182, Suisun.

Mrs. Daguimol is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, J.R. and Kim Yasay of Vacaville; granddaughters, Kristal Rios, Alicia and Melisa Yasay of Vacaville; and great-granddaughter, Angelina Rios of Vacaville.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Rosario Sanz Lasa

A Memorial Mass for Rosario Sanz Lasa, 96, of Suisun will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will officiate. Inurnment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mrs. Lasa died May 26, 1998, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born Feb. 17, 1902, in the Philippine Islands, she lived in Suisun 13 years. She was a homemaker for 50 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Mrs. Lasa is survived by her daughter, Mari-Carmen Rosado of Suisun; sons, Miguel A. of San Francisco and Carlos S. of Suisun; grandchildren, Antonio and Beatriz Rosado, Milagros, Daniel and Gabriel Lasa, Loui and Margaret Razon; great-grandchildren, Michael Medina and Lauren Razon; and brother and sister-in-law, Antonio and Jane Sanz of Tryon, N.C.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Milton G. Johannessen

Funeral services for Milton G. Johannessen, 45, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

The Rev. Cordell Cowart will officiate. Inurnment will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Johannessen died May 26, 1998.

Born Feb. 16, 1953, in Austin,  Texas, he was a resident of Vacaville for 15 years. He worked at MESA Technical in Vacaville after working for Conam Pacific Coast Testing in Benicia.

Mr. Johannessen enjoyed bowling, artistic painting and refurbishing old cars.

Mr. Johannessen is survived by his wife, Mary of Vacaville; sons, Michael and Chad of Vacaville; daughters, Tabitha Williams and Tiffany of Vacaville; brothers, Alvin of Billings, Mont., Thomas of Crawley,  Texas, and Shorty of Vacaville; sisters, Annie Crawford and Stella of Austin,  Texas; one granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today in McCune Garden Chapel.

Memorial contributions can be made to a trust fund for his children at Wells Fargo Bank, 777 E. Monte Vista Ave., Vacaville 95688, Account No. 6037850625.

William Joe Haun

A memorial service for William Joe Haun, 49, of Bremerton, Wash., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home Chapel in Vacaville.

A private inurnment will be held today at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.

Mr. Haun died May 23, 1998, in Yakima, Wash., from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Mr. Haun and his wife of 26 years, Lynn, were residents of Vacaville for 20 years before moving to Bremerton.

Born Jan. 24, 1949, in Mile City, Mont., he attended high school in Livingston, Mont., before receiving an associate's degree from Shasta Community College. He also attended Humboldt State University. At the time of his death he was employed with the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, where he had worked for the last four years. Prior to that he was employed at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 19 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and served for 18 months with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Quadrawpaws Jeep Club and enjoyed gold mining and panning.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Haun is survived by his parents, Bill and Gladys of Casper, Wyo.; children, Alexys and Brandon of Bremerton; brother, Harvey of Casper; sister, Gayle Watts of Bozeman, Mont.; and a niece and nephew.

Memorial contributions may be made to Relay For Life, 718 Lebo Blvd., Bremerton 98310.

Margaret A. Carlsen

A memorial service will be held for Margaret Adele "Blondie" Carlsen, 58, of Vallejo, at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

Inurnment will be private.

Born May 27, 1940, in Missouri, she died May 28, 1998, in Sacramento.

She lived in Vallejo several years and worked 17 years for the Social Security Department.

She enjoyed reading, video games, playing Kizmet, crocheting and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Carlsen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sherri Parks of Vallejo; daughter, Margaret Eakle of Vallejo; son John Parks of Vallejo; companion, William Gylock of Vallejo; five sisters, Mary Lou Foster of Vallejo, Madeline Earls of Vallejo, Linda Sue Biggers of Sacramento and Verna Ariza of Vacaville; granddaughter, Mellissa Parks of Vallejo, grandson, John Jr. of Vallejo, and 10 nieces and nephews.

A memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ruth Bradanini, 290 Fruitvale Road, Vacaville, 95688.

Bobby L. Hopkins

Graveside services for Bobby L. Hopkins, 88, of Vacaville, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born June 5, 1909, in North Carolina, she died May 29, 1998, in Vallejo, after a long illness.

Mrs. Hopkins lived in Vacaville for 28 years and had been a homemaker for 73 years.

She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregation in Vacaville.

Mrs. Hopkins is survived by daughters, Charlotte Hansen of Vacaville, Lillian Stowe of Fairfield, Betty Jane Farrel of Thousand Oaks; sister, Thelma Copeland of Alabama; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

A memorial contribution can be made to the American Heart Association Redwood Empire Chapter, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa, 95402, or to a favorite charity.

Margaret E. Mayland

There will be a private inurnment for Margaret E. Mayland, 71, of Vacaville, who died May 28, 1998, in Vacaville after a long illness.

There will be no formal services.

Born Aug. 16, 1926, in Joliette, Ill., Mrs. Mayland lived in Vacaville 30 years and worked as a certified public accountant for 30 years in San Francisco and Vacaville.

She was a member of the Coast Guard auxiliary and became the first woman commodore in the auxiliary in the Coast Guard's 12th District.

She enjoyed boating and the outdoors.

Mrs. Mayland is survived by stepsons Wesley of Idaho and Leslie of Oregon; and godson James Sorensen of Pacifica.

A memorial contribution may be made to the American Heart Association's Redwood Empire Chapter, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa, 95402, or to a favorite charity.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

Donna-Marie Girton

A memorial service for Donna-Marie Girton, 54, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Dan O. Root Elementary School in Suisun.

Ms. Girton died April 22, 1998, at University of California, Davis, Medical Center in Sacramento after a brief illness.

Born July 7, 1943, in Anderson, Ind., she was a teacher for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District for 30 years. She was a member and past president of the Solano County Reading Association, chairwoman for Reading Day at the Mall, site representative for Curriculum Council, an active member of CTA, NEA, F-SUTA and International Reading Association.

She also was a member of the Chinese Historical Society of America, Vacaville Heritage Council, Historical Society of West Central Solano, Vacaville Museum, Rio Vista Museum, Benicia Camel Barn Museum, and Solano County Historical Society for the past 12 years. She was selected Teacher of the Year for Suisun Elementary School for the 1985-86 school year.

Ms. Girton is survived by her mother, Marie of Anderson, Ind.; brother, David of Seattle, Wash.; aunts, uncles and cousins of Florida and Indiana; long time special friend, Bert Hughes of Vacaville. She also will be missed by her many friends, adopted children, that she loved and taught, and the families of children she taught.

Martha M. Gronlund

Memorial services for Martha M. Gronlund, 92, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Monday in Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

Pastor Eric Walbolt will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Gronlund died May 24, 1998, in Winsor House Convalescent Hospital after a short illness.

Born July 25, 1905, in Finland, she moved to Vacaville 25 years ago. She was a homemaker for over 60 years. She was a member of the Finish Brotherhood Association.

Mrs. Gronlund is survived by her close friends, Tuula Jesudason and Seija Wieeks of Vacaville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Solano Women's Crisis Center, P.O. Box 365, Fairfield 94533. Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel in Vacaville.

Jerry Perkins

A memorial service for Jerry Perkins, 43, of Vallejo will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in Skyview Funeral Home in Vallejo.

Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Perkins died April 25, 1998, at University of California, Davis, Medical Center in Sacramento after a sudden illness.

Born April 18, 1955, in Kettleman City, he was a Vallejo resident for one year. He had worked at the Shell Oil Refinery in Richmond.

Mr. Perkins enjoyed motorcycles, camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Perkins is survived by his wife, Denise of San Francisco; daughters, Jerri of Concord, Melissa of Antioch and Leslie of Baypoint; son, William of Pittsburg; brother, Vernon Ray of Tulsa, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Claude Preston Watkins

A memorial service for Claude Preston Watkins, 43, of Suisun will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfield.

Pastor Chuck McKinney will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Watkins died May 30, 1998, in Fairfield after a brief illness.

Born Oct. 29, 1954, in San Francisco, he lived in Suisun for 43 years. He worked for the Marshall Department Store.

Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, Preston Claude; daughter, Rose Catherine; stepson, James Donta Marshall, all of Suisun; parents William and Bernice of Suisun; grandmother Mollie Mae Berry of Fairfield; sisters, Vernice Louise Lewis of Richmond, and Marlenea Griffin of Suisun; brothers, Harold James of Oakland, Robert Edward of San Lorenzo, Charles Ray Murphy, Willie Murphy, and Ronald Lee Murphy, all of San Francisco; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Aletha A. Campbell

Funeral services for Aletha A. Campbell, 94, of Fairfield, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Pastor Janet M. Corpus will officiate. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Campbell died May 31, 1998, in Sacramento after a long illness.

Born March 4, 1904, in Blue Creek, W.Va., Mrs. Campbell lived in Fairfield for the past 33 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 88 and the  White Shrine of Jerusalem, Chapter 7, Charleston, W.Va.

Mrs. Campbell lived most of her life in the Charleston area. She was a graduate of East Bank High School and of Kanawha Business College.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by daughter, Rosalie Knapp of Fairfield; son, Charles of Anchorage, Alaska; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

George E. King

Funeral services for George E. King, 89, of Walnut Creek will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Catholic Cemetery Chapel, 7101 Verner Ave., Citrus Heights. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. King died May 30, 1998, in Walnut Creek after a long illness.

Born Jan. 9, 1909, in Goodyear's Bar, Mr. King lived in Citrus Heights and for 20 years and Orinda for 20 years. He worked for 37 years as a district manager for Pacific Bell Telephone Co. He was a member of the Pacific Bell Telephone Pioneers, Holy Family Catholic Church in Citrus Heights, and the Sierra View Country Club in Roseville.

Mr. King is survived by his daughter, Barbara and son-in-law George Cockerton of Walnut Creek; son, Robert and daughter-in-law Lorraine of Green Valley; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
