Ethel Malone

Graveside services for Ethel Malone, 86, of Davis will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

Born July 10, 1912, in Bates, Ark., Mrs. Malone died July 17, 1998, in Davis after a long illness. She lived in Davis for the past eight years, and previously resided in Dixon.

She worked for 25 years at Basic Vegetable Inc. She was a member of the Moose Lodge of Dixon, the Senior Citizen's Center, and was a longtime member of the Teamsters union.

Mrs. Ethel is survived by her daughters, Oneta  Woods of Yuma, Ariz., and Frances Miller of Dixon; sons, Roy Rose of Davis, Jim R. Rose of Woodland, Chuck Rose of Bend, Ore., and Gene Rose of Woodland; 25 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Willie and Altus Rose.

Arrangements are by Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Rev. Donald D. Harvey

Funeral services for the Rev. Donald D. Harvey, 84, of Vacaville will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Vaca Valley Christian Life Center.

The Rev. David Crone will preside. Burial will be in the Santa Rosa Memorial Park.

Born Feb. 15, 1914, in Gridley, the Rev. Harvey died July 16, 1998, at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento after a short illness. He moved to the area 14 years ago.

He served as a clergyman for 43 years, 14 of which were at the Vaca Valley Christian Life Center. Most of his activities revolved around the church.

The Rev. Harvey is survived by his wife, Mary of Vacaville; daughters, Mary Bagley of Fortuna and Judy Vargas of Cotati; sons, Donald Jr. of San Francisco and Ross of Ardmore, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Vaca Valley Christian Life Center.

Contributions may be made to the Vaca Valley Christian Life Center Missions in memory of the Rev. Harvey.

Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Delon McClellin

Funeral services for Delon McClellin, 59, of American Canyon will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

Burial will be in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born Jan. 14, 1939, in Cement, Okla., Mr. McClellin died July 14, 1998, at his home after a brief illness. He was a longtime resident of American Canyon.

Mr. McClellin was a served in the Navy from March 2, 1960 to Feb. 28, 1964. He was on board the USS Saint Paul.

He enjoyed fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. He had worked for Napa Auto Parts for the past eight years.

Mr. McClellin is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Terry of Caldwell, Idaho, and Sam and Marilyn of Napa; nieces, Laura, Rae Poppley, and Sara Helmer, Marie Perry of Ira, N.Y., and Jeannie Peters of Puyallup, Wash.; nephews, Phillip of Caldwell, Idaho, Scott of Napa, and Tim Mays of Sparrow Bush, N.Y.; and sister, Ladean Mays of Napa.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Lydia E. Peregoy

Funeral services for Lydia E. Peregoy, 69, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfield.

The Rev. Robert Grove of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church will preside. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born April 30, 1929, in Germany, Mrs. Peregoy died July 16, 1998, in Fairfield after a short illness.

She was a homemaker for 49 years. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Lodge No. 861 in Fairfield.

Mrs. Peregoy is survived by her companion, Tom Mollay of Fairfield; and sisters, Herta Kahle of Germany, Carol Wong of Reno, and Erica Knight of  Texas.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Barbara J. Burlison

A memorial service for Barbara J. Burlison, 54, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Presbyterian Church in Vacaville.

Mrs. Burlison died July 18, 1998, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born Dec. 25, 1943, in Ohio, Mrs. Burlison was an instructional assistant for 21 years in the Vacaville Unified School District and a longtime city resident.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Loyd Burlison of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Regina Burlison of Dixon; mother, Gayle Sandy of Woodland; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bill Cox of Chula Vista; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Mary Sandy of Woodland; nephews, Steve Cox of Oregon, Bill Cox of San Diego, Owen and Grayson Sandy of Woodland; nieces, Pam Stanzione of Spring Valley and Bailey Sandy of Woodland; and grandchildren, Lindsay and Brittany of Dixon.

Susan W. Hinkle

Funeral services for Susan W. Hinkle of Bakersfield will be 11 a.m. Saturday in VacaValley Christian Life Center in Vacaville.

Pastor David Crone will officiate. A private inurnment will be held.

Ms. Hinkle died July 17, 1998, at her home after a long illness.

She was a homemaker and worked as the editor of Silver Lining magazine. She enjoyed arts and crafts, as well as Golden Persian cats.

Ms. Hinkle is survived by her husband, Richard of Vacaville; daughters, Shelley Hinkle and Stephanie Hinkle, both of Missoula, Mont.; father, Stephen Shambaugh of Tubac, Ariz.; and sister, Kathleen Thompson of Tucson, Ariz.

Memorial contributions can be made to the NorthBay Hospice, 1101 B. Gale Wilson Blvd., Fairfield 94533.

Lena M. Hedgepeth

Funeral services for Lena M. Hedgepeth, 69, of Fairfield will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Rockville Cemetery.

Mrs. Hedgepeth died July 18, 1998, at David Grant Medical Center.

Born July 7, 1929, in Rocky Mountain, N.C., she moved to Fairfield 27 years ago. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Hedgepeth is survived by her husband, John of Fairfield; daughters, Doris Hopkins of Vallejo, Lynette Hooks of Suisun, Sheila  Johnson of Georgia, Sherri Williams of Suisun and Terri Hedgepeth of Fairfield; sisters, Lucille Battle of North Carolina, Bernice Williams of  Washington, D.C., and Odessa Lewis of Maryland; brother, Henry Royster of North Carolina; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Byron Lynn

No funeral services will be held for Byron Lynn, 63, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Lynn died July 18, 1998, at VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

Born June 7, 1935, in Eads,  Colo., he moved to Vacaville 12 years ago. He worked as a driver for Huter Douglas for 10 years. In his free time, Mr. Lynn enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Lynn is survived by his wife, Lynn of Vacaville; sons, James Boyd Lynn of Hayward and Robert Thomas Lynn of Vacaville; daughter, Denise York of Mesquite,  Texas; sisters, Ellen Simmons of Eads and Melva King of Aurora,  Colo.; brothers, James of Denver and Gene of Springfield,  Colo.; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Anna 'Short One' Goyette

There will be private services for Anna "Short One" Goyette, 77, of Vacaville.

Mrs. Goyette died July 17, 1998, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born Aug. 25, 1920, in San Francisco, she was a Vacaville resident for eight years. She was a homemaker and mother all her adult life.

Mrs. Goyette enjoyed her citizens band radio and was known as "Short One." She enjoyed giving directions to lost truck drivers.

Mrs. Goyette is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Kenneth Helzer of Vacaville and Lynda and Dick Bunch of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Dwayne of Roseville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 11135 Kenwood Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.

Arrangements are handled by McCune Garden Chapel.

Margaret 'Peggy' L. Reynaud

A Mass of the Resurrection for Margaret "Peggy" L. Reynaud, 68, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.

The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Private burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Reynaud died July 20, 1998, in her home after a long illness.

Born Nov. 15, 1929, in Salem, Mass., she was a Vacaville resident for the past 35 years. She was the owner and operator of Model Home Maintenance in Vacaville for the past 27 years. She was active in elementary schools and was past president of Edwin Markham Elementary School PTA. She was a lifetime member of the Vacaville-Dixon PTA Council, and she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mrs. Reynaud is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ernest of Vacaville; son, Raymond Michael and his wife, Sheryl "Sheri" of Vacaville; grandsons, Randy James, Brian Michael and Mark Joseph, all of Vacaville; and brother, William Ryan of San Diego.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home, with rosary recited at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to NorthBay Hospice, 1200 B. Gate Wilson Blvd., Fairfield 94533.

Kimberly Jo Nicholson-Beath

Funeral services for Kimberly Jo Nicholson-Beath, 40, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Friday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Ed Sanderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born Feb. 1, 1958, in Long Beach, Mrs. Nicholson-Beath died July 18, 1998, in Fairfield after a brief illness.

Mrs. Nicholson-Beath lived in Fairfield the past 38 years. Previously, she lived in Benicia for two years.

She worked as a toll collector on the Benicia Bridge for 15 years and was a student at Solano Community College majoring in horticulture.

She enjoyed softball, playing in several leagues in Fairfield and Suisun. She also enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities.

She is survived by her husband, John of Fairfield; mother, Shari Williams of Hillsboro, Ore.; father, Joe Nicholson of Vacaville; grandparents, Ted and Ruby Nicholson of Vacaville; grandmother, Reatha Caulk of Forest Grove, Ore.; sisters, Renee Tobin of Berkeley, Wendy Pelletier of Suisun and Theresa Mason of Hillsboro; brother, Terry Mason of Forest Grove; one niece; seven nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Donald James Pitt

No funeral services are planned for Donald James Pitt, 80, of Fairfield.

Mr. Pitt died July 19, 1998, in Fairfield after a short illness.

Born Nov. 11, 1917, in Topeka, Kan., he moved to Fairfield 41 years ago. He served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater during World War II and left the service as a master sergeant. He worked for 30 years at Travis Air Force Base's Civil Service in the Personnel Department and retired as a supervisor.

Mr. Pitt enjoyed bowling, gardening and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Norma, of 56 years; daughter, Helen and son-in-law Christopher Burcher of San Francisco; son, Dennis and daughter-in-law Bobbi Pitt; son, Gregory of Australia; and grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 W.  Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield 94533.

Gertrude Riewerts

Gertrude Riewerts, 101, of Vacaville died July 15, 1998, in the Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness.

At her request, no services were held. Inurnment will be in a family plot at the Chapel of Memories in Oakland.

Mrs. Riewerts was born Gertrude Walton on Oct. 10, 1896, in San Francisco. She was the seventh of 10 children.

Mrs. Riewerts worked for 26 years for Southern Pacific Railroad. She was an avid dancer and enjoyed all kinds of music.

She lived for the last five years at the Vacaville center.

Mrs. Riewerts is survived by her nieces, Jane Brear of Green Valley and Merle Fyfe of Lake Tahoe; nephew, Ronald Crosthwaite of Venice, Fla.; great niece, Terry Hill of Vacaville; step-granddaughter, Sharon McGarry of Vacaville; and numerous other family members.

She was preceded in death by her last husband, Oscar and her first husband, Albert Adamina.

Arrangements were by Albert Brown Mortuary in Oakland.
