Francis John Palacky

A Mass of Christian Burial for Francis John Palacky, 36, of Vallejo will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will preside. Inurnment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Born July 16, 1962, in Fairfield, Mr. Palacky died Aug. 4, 1998, at his home after a long illness. He lived in Vallejo for four years.

Mr. Palacky worked for Exxon USA for eight years as a refinery technician.

He was an avid waterskier and snow skier, and he enjoyed playing the guitar. He was a graduate of Holy Spirit Catholic School and Fairfield High School, Class of 1979.

Mr. Palacky is survived by his parents, Raymond and Josephine of Fairfield; sisters, Carolyn Bell of Fairfield, Patricia Saiz of Fairfield, Mary Turrey of Vacaville, and Catherine Osteraa of Salinas; and brothers, Raymond of Sacramento, Stephen of Suisun, and David of Sacramento.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Charles Henry Hadden

A funeral for Charles Henry Hadden, 73, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Pope Cemetery in Sneads, Fla. The Rev. Stan Sanderson will preside.

Born Feb. 26, 1925, in Live Oak, Fla., Mr. Hadden died Aug. 6, 1998, at his home after a long illness. He lived in Fairfield for 10 years.

He was in the Army for three years, serving in World War II. He was in the Pacific campaign in the battles of New Guinea and Luzon. He received the Philippine Liberation Medal and ended as a tech 5.

For 30 years he was a truck driver for Florida Refrigeration. He was a coin collector, gardener and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.

Mr. Hadden is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jeannette and David Laub of Fairfield and Clara and Joseph E. McCraney of Florida; sons, Charles N. of Florida and Jimmy Lee Hadden of North Carolina; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Shirley M. Morrow

Graveside services for Shirley M. Morrow, 60, of Fairfield will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

The Rev. Lou Harris will officiate. Interment will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born April 10, 1938, in Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Morrow died Aug. 5, 1998, in Sierra Solano Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield after a brief illness.

She lived in Fairfield for 30 years. She worked at the E-Z 8 Motel for four years. She enjoyed gardening, housekeeping, cooking and reading.

Mrs. Morrow is survived by her daughters, Kim, Jody and Cindy of Fairfield; son, Terry of Tennessee; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is 10 to noon Monday at Fairmont Memorial Park, 1901 Union Ave., Fairfield.

Arrangements are handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Abbas Ghoddosi

Funeral services for Abbas Ghoddosi, 77, of Suisun will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Clergy from the Bahai Faith Community will preside. Burial will be in Rockville Cemetery.

Born Feb. 15, 1921, in Babolsar, Iran, Mr. Ghoddosi died Aug. 6, 1998, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a long illness. He lived in Suisun for eight years.

Mr. Ghoddosi worked as an accountant for the government of Iran for 30 years, retiring in 1973. He then worked as an accountant for a construction company in Iran for three years.

He owned and operated a farm, growing cotton, soy beans and oranges, until coming to the United States in 1985.

He was a member of the Spiritual Assembly of Fairfield-Suisun Bahai Faith.

Mr. Ghoddosi is survived by his wife, Sourorieh of Suisun; sons and daughters-in-law, Iman and Roohieh of Suisun, Kawos and Parvin of Vacaville, and Firooz and Sima Quddusi of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; daughters and sons-in-law, Farideh and Bahaeddin Tabasi of Davis, Fattaneh and Marochehr of Sidney, Australia, and Freshteh and Nabi of Iran; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

C. Lester King Jr.

Memorial services for C. Lester King Jr., 46, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home Chapel, 180 E. Monte Vista Ave., Vacaville.

The Rev. Leo Nelson will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. King died Aug. 6, 1998, in Vacaville from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Born July 28, 1952, in Woodland, Mr. King graduated from Vacaville High School in 1970. He attended City College of San Francisco. He was the former owner and operator of Solano Dental Lab of Vacaville for 17 years. He was involved in his children's activities, and was an auto enthusiast who also enjoyed camping and fishing.

Mr. King is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beverly of Vacaville; son, Justin of Vacaville; daughter, Lisa of Vacaville; parents, Charles Sr. and Angelina of Vacaville; sister, Victoria of Vacaville; mother-in-law, Pauline Burd; sister-in-law, Judy Burd of Napa; brother- and sister-in-law, Ernie and Kay Burd of Vacaville; uncles and aunts, Ernie and Beebe Moretti of Fairfield, Guido and Rosie Colla of Green Valley, Laurice Colla of Colorado, and Penny Colla of Sacramento.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be sent in Mr. King's name to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento 95817.

William P. Petersen

Memorial services for William P. Petersen, 76, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750  Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield.

There will be a private inurnment.

Mr. Petersen died Aug. 7, 1998, in NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born July 1, 1922, in Reydon, Okla., Mr. Petersen lived in Fairfield for many years. Mr. Petersen served in the Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He later was a technical director for Pacific Steel in Berkeley, where he worked for 48 years before retiring in 1984. He had been president of the board of directors of Country Club Estates and a consultant for Pacific Steel.

Mr. Petersen is survived by his wife, Barbara of Fairfield; daughters Deborah Pond-Heide of Pleasanton, and Nancy Petersen and Elizabeth McLeod, both of Fairfield; sisters, Margaret Easterling of Sayre, Okla., and Geraldine Sandri of Oregon; and eight grandchildren.

Jabari Damion Jones

Funeral services for Jabari Damion Jones, 19, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Claybon Lea of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Suisun City will officiate. Interment will be in the Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Born Dec. 31, 1978, in San Bernardino, Mr.  Jones died Aug. 5, 1998, in Fairfield.

He attended Grange Middle School, Fairfield High School and Mary Bird School.

Mr.  Jones worked as a landscaper for three years. He loved fishing, listening to music and working on automobiles.

Survivors include his father, Jerome Harris of San Bernardino; mother, Charlotte  Jones of Sacramento; sister, Jamilla  Jones of Sacramento; and several aunts and uncles.

Angeline C. Ingraham

Funeral services for Angeline C. Ingraham, 75, of Citrus Heights will be immediately following a 10 a.m. rosary Thursday in Holy Family Church, 7817 Old Auburn Road, Citrus Heights.

Born May 16, 1923, in Ferndale, Mrs. Ingraham died Aug. 9, 1998, at home after a long illness.

She lived in Vacaville from 1964 to 1983 and spent her retirement years in Hawaii and Sacramento. She was an active member in the St. Mary's Catholic Women's Club, various Portuguese clubs and senior citizen clubs in California and Hawaii. She was also a dedicated volunteer.

Mrs. Ingraham is survived by her husband of 53 years, Benjamin of Citrus Heights; sons, Dennis of Vacaville, Gordie of Redding and Tim of Williams; daughters, Cathy of Ponte Vedre Beach, Fla., Cindy of Fairfield, Lori in Dixon, and Lynn of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kim.

Memorial contributions may be made to any hospice organization.

Arrangements are handled by Russ-Monroe Funeral Home of Fair Oaks.

Gladys T. Braithwaite

Funeral services for Gladys T. Braithwaite, 84, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Friday in Vaca Hills Chapel in Vacaville.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Concord.

Born Feb. 28, 1914, in Chicago, Mrs. Braithwaite died Aug. 12, 1998, in the Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Hospital after a long illness.

She lived in Vacaville for eight years. She was a homemaker for 62 years.

Mrs. Braithwaite was a member of the Pocahontas Club and enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Myers of Vacaville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Roy Kee and Paul Braithwaite; and daughters, Jeanette Kee and Annette Gregory.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Lela Mae Everett

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lela Mae Everett, 84, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly of St. Joseph's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born April 30, 1914, in Lancaster, Ky., Mrs. Everett died Aug. 11, 1998, at home after a brief illness.

She was a Solano County resident for more than 50 years. She worked as a civil service secretary for more than 20 years while traveling in the military with her husband. She also worked for four years at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville.

She was a member of the Twice Arounder Golf Club at the Green Tree Golf Club in Vacaville.

Mrs. Everett enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer. She was also a talented painter.

Mrs. Everett is survived by her husband, Robert of Vacaville; sisters, Ina Lee Coffey of Oregon and Mary E. Shelton of Ozark, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ruth Brandanini, 290 Fruitvale Road, Vacaville 95688.

Arrangements are handled by McCune Garden Chapel.

Norma Dean Harris

Memorial services for Norma Dean Harris, 73, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Friday at Fairfield Funeral Home.

Inurnment will be in Rockville Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Lewis of Temple Baptist Church will officiate.

Born May 3, 1925, in Minco, Okla., Mrs. Harris died Aug. 11, 1998, in Seton Medical Center in Daly City after a long illness.

She was a PBX operator for Salinas Valley Memorial for 20 years and was a resident of the Rose Garden Senior Apartments in Vacaville.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughters, Norma Carlene Higginbotham of Rockvale, Tenn., and Sharon Macias and Eva Owen, both of Sacramento; sons, Larry Winters of Sacramento and Carl Winters of Ripon; sisters, Alta Little, Judy Andrew and Karen Cole, all of  Oklahoma, and Carleta Loverde of California; brothers, Ewel Ventris and Davie Ventris, both of  Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mary Jewell Ferguson

Funeral services for Mary Jewell Ferguson of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Monday at Chapel One at Travis Air Force Base.

The Rev. Joseph Davis of St. Stephen's CME Church in Fairfield will preside. Burial will be at Sandy Creek Cemetery at Limestone County in Mexia,  Texas.

A second service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Union Memorial United Methodist Church in Coolidge,  Texas.

Born in Mexia, Mrs. Ferguson died Aug. 11, 1998, at David Grant Medical Center after a brief illness. She lived in Fairfield for 27 years.

Mrs. Ferguson attended Woodland High School and graduated from Dunbar High School in Mexia. She attended the University of North  Texas in Denton,  Texas, and graduated from Huston-Tillotson College in Austin,  Texas.

She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in history.

From 1965 to 1971, she followed her husband's military career and worked in a number of places as a teacher and librarian.

Since 1971, she had worked as a librarian at Golden West School at Travis Air Force Base.

She was a member of St. Stephen's CME Church in Fairfield since 1972. She was a member of the Missionary Society of St. Stephen's Church. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

Also, she enjoyed gardening, interior design and was an avid reader and historian.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her daughter, Kimberly of Fairfield; mother, Jewell Freeman of Coolidge,  Texas; sisters, Vickye Freeman of Coolidge,  Texas, Freda Mahdi of Dallas,  Texas, and La Vaughn Coleman of Las Vegas; and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie L., in 1986.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
