Dorothy Agnes Tutt

Services for Dorothy Agnes Tutt, 86, of Martinez will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Martinez. A vigil will be 7 p.m. Sunday at Connolly &  Taylor Chapel in Martinez.

Born April 29, 1912, in San Francisco, Mrs. Tutt died Aug. 13, 1998, at the Guardian of Concord. She was a resident of Martinez since 1945, and had previously lived in Crockett.

Mrs. Tutt was raised in Pittsburg and graduated from San Francisco State University with a California teaching credential. She married her husband, J. Deane Tutt, in July 1937 at St. Peter Martyr Catholic Church in Pittsburg.

She taught second-grade at Mountain View Primary School in Martinez. After her children were in school, she did some substitute teaching.

She was a 53-year member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, where she was a eucharistic minister, a member of the Y.L.I., and a grief minister.

She belonged to the Garden Club of Concord and volunteered at the Senior Citizen's Center in Martinez. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, reading and travel.

Mrs. Tutt is survived by her children, Cecelia of Concord, Jim of Vacaville, Teresa of Vacaville and Ruth Pilch of  Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Christine Bisson of San Luis Obispo, David of Vacaville, and Valerie Pilch of  Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband in April 1989.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Connolly &  Taylor Chapel.

Patty J. Woodzell

A memorial service for Patty J. Woodzell, 67, of Yuba City was held Aug. 3.

Born in Sacramento, Mrs. Woodzell died July 29, 1998, at her home.

She was a Yuba-Sutter resident from 1964 to 1975, and also lived in that area for the past three months. She was an arts and crafts director for Beale Air Force Base for 20 years and a member of the Genealogical Society.

Mrs. Woodzell is survived by her daughters, Dayna J. Bertelsen of Yuba City, Lydia A. Eastman of Sidney, Neb., Donnelle C. Evans of Phoenix, and Evelyn T. Mantiply of Killeen,  Texas; brothers and sister-in-law, Michael E. McCabe of Nevada and Sidney "Bill" and Miriam Roberts of Vacaville; and six grandchildren.

The service was conducted at Sutter Cemetery with Chaplain Herman Wendler officiating. Arrangements were by Ullrey Memorial Chapel.

Alexandra Marie Ruby

Graveside services for Alexandra Marie Ruby, 6 months, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery in the baby section. Pastor Su Schlagel of the Christian Church of Vacaville will preside.

Born Jan. 25, 1998, in Fairfield, the infant died suddenly Aug. 13, 1998, at her home in Vacaville.

She is survived by her parents, Timothy and Marie Ruby of Vacaville; brothers, Thomas and Shayne Ruby of Burns, Ore.; sisters, Jessica and Steffani Wagner of Vacaville; maternal grandparents, Paul and Barbara Scruggs of Hayward; paternal grandmother, Norma May Ruby of Carson City, Nev.; and paternal grandparents, Bill and Esther Ruby of Vancouver, Wash.

Visitation will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alexandra Marie Ruby's name to the Nadeau Family Funeral Home, 180 E. Monte Vista Ave., Vacaville 95688.

Rose Carol Albaugh-Boyer

Funeral services for Rose Carol Albaugh-Boyer, 71, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Community United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

The Rev. Robert Sanford will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Albaugh-Boyer died Aug. 10, 1998, in her home after a long illness.

Born Feb. 19, 1927, in Danville, Ill., she moved to Fairfield 41 years ago. She married Chief Master Sgt. George Franklin Albaugh Jr. in 1945, who preceded her in death in 1968. She followed her husband throughout his military career to Tampa, Fla., Tucson, Ariz. and Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

She was known for her volunteer work with family services at Travis Air Force Base, the NCO Wife's Club and Fairfield Senior Center. During the last 10 years, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Suisun Senior Center.

Mrs. Albaugh-Boyer is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George Franklin Albaugh III and Melanie of Fairfield; grandson George Calvin Albaugh of Fairfield; brother Rosslyn Charles McGuire of Indiana; stepgrandchildren Kerri Cecchi and Mark Beltram of Vacaville and Rebecca Ronaghi of Florida; and stepgreat-grandson, Guy Anthony Baird of Vacaville.

She also was preceded in death by her second husband, Robert Boyer.

Services are handled by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Imogene J. Brown

Funeral services for Imogene J. Brown, 66, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. Martin Bergstrom of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairfield will preside. Burial will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Ms. Brown died Aug. 14, 1998, at Travis Air Force Base after a long illness.

Born Oct. 15, 1931, in Gull Point, Fla., she moved to Fairfield 46 years ago. She worked for Johnson's Bakery and was the president of the PTA of Anna Kyle Elementary for 10 years. She was also the secretary of the Tuesday Dreamers Bowling League for many years.

Ms. Brown is survived by her daughters, Sandra Block of Dixon, Carol Morrissey and Mary Harding, both of Vacaville; sons, William of Vacaville, Ed of Omaha, Neb., and James of Los Angeles; sisters, Betty Wallace of Ozark, Ala., Maureen Bryan of Panama City, Fla., Helen Downs of Freeport, Fla., Vada Smith of Pensacola, Fla., and Kathryn Huie of Cantoment, Fla.; brothers, Buck Joseph of Pensacola, Fla., Jerry Joseph of Milton, Fla., and Jon Joseph of Montgomery, Ala.; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Contributions can be made to the Leukemia Society of America, No. 714, 323 Geary St., San Francisco 94102.

Dorothy Marie Howard

Dorothy Marie Howard, 76, of Vacaville died Aug. 15, 1998.

No funeral services will be held.

Mrs. Howard was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Galion, Ohio. She died in Vacaville.

She worked as a registered nurse for 35 years. She was very active with the Ladys of Montezuma Shrine Club. She moved to the Vacaville area in 1972.

She is survived by her husband, L.E. (Lew) Howard; twin sister, Delores Adamski of Fort Wayne, Ind.; sister-in-law, Helen List; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Ladys of Montezuma Shrine Club, Transportation Fund.

Edwin Granville Jones

A memorial service for Edwin Granville Jones, 48, of El Sobrante will be 11 a.m. today at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield.

The Rev. Hank Vischer will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Mr.  Jones died Aug. 13, 1998, after a brief illness.

Born April 18, 1950, in Fairfield, he lived in El Sobrante for 12 years. He graduated from Armijo High School in 1968 and then Chico State University in 1974 with a degree in industrial arts. He worked as a plant supervisor at Atlas Foundry in Richmond and later in Memphis,  Texas, for 12 years. Mr.  Jones worked in a family business,  Jones Bros Flooring, in Fairfield.

He was a member of the Cajun Zydeco Dance Community in San Francisco and of Ducks Unlimited. He loved to ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Mr.  Jones is survived by his wife, Linda Castle of El Sobrante; mother, Clara of Suisun; grandmother, Lucy of Fairfield; sisters and brother-in-law, Janelle and Tom Cookston of Vacaville, Tina of Suisun, and Anita of Sacramento; brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Rebecca of Fair-field, and Jeff and Brenda of Suisun; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Contributions can be made to Armijo Alumni Association or Armijo Athletic Boosters, 824  Washington St., Fairfield 94533.

Helen Leilani Lintao

A Catholic Mass for Helen Leilani Lintao, 66, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

The Rev. Sebastian Meyer of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fairfield Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Fairfield Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Joyce will officiate.

Mrs. Lintao will be buried in Rockville Cemetery.

Born May 4, 1932, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Mrs. Lintao died Aug. 15, 1998, at home after a long illness.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Fred of Fairfield; daughters, Pauline Kilian of Fairfield, Marguerita Wolff of Sacramento, Theresa Sarti of San Jose and Catherine of Fairfield; sons, Steve and Glen of Fairfield; Ernie of San Jose.

Edieu McNeil

Funeral services for Edieu McNeil, 79, of Vacaville will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McGlothen Temple in Richmond.

The Rev. John Allen Jennings will preside. Burial will be at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Richmond.

Mr. McNeil died Aug. 11, 1998, in Vacaville.

Born June 25, 1919, in Bagdad, Fla., he moved to Vacaville 27 years ago. He worked as a carpenter for 27 years and was a member of Local 152 in Martinez and Local 36 in Oakland.

He began ministering 61 years ago at Three in One Church of God in Christ in Shreveport, La. He moved to California in 1939, and worked as a minister at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ in San Francisco.

He later served in Oakland at Good Samaritan Church of God in Christ. From 1941 until he died, he served at McGlothen Temple in Richmond.

Mr. McNeil is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of Vacaville; sons, Leon of Fairfield, Leonard of Davis, Joseph of Hayward, and Wayne of San Jose; brother, Joseph Lee of Houston; sister, Mary Ester McNeil- Johnson of Phoenix; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the Doctor Mattie McGlothen Library Museum Association, 1443 Filbert Street, Richmond 94801.

Craig Wyley Reese

A memorial service for Craig Wyley Reese, 82, of Vacaville will be held in the Chapel of the Chimes in Santa Rosa at 11 a.m. Aug. 24.

Born Aug. 13, 1915, in Portland, Ore., he died Aug. 10, 1998, in his Vacaville home.

He served in the U.S. Army Timberwolf Division in World War II. After the war, he worked in the office supply business in Santa Barbara, then his own company, Reese Office Supply, in Oxnard for 27 years.

Prior to moving to Vacaville, he owned a laundromat near Mount Shasta, an area where he enjoyed fly fishing.

Mr. Reese and his wife of 58 years, Helen, taught young people ballroom dancing and social etiquette. He also was known for his humor and love of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Reese is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Marci and Don  Jones of Oxnard and Marily and Randy Kempoer of Camarillo; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jeanie of Vacaville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Family members add that he will be missed by personal care-giver Marilyn David, who kept him laughing, fed and played "a mean game of rummy."

Mr. Reese was preceded in death by his wife, who died of cancer in 1997.

Sara Ann Thoman

Funeral services for Sara Ann Thoman, 81, of Arlington,  Texas, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Entombment will be in the memorial park. The Rev. Bob Sanford will officiate.

Born Dec. 5, 1916, in Lebanon, Tenn., Mrs. Thoman died Aug. 14, 1998, in Arlington after a short illness.

She lived in Arlington five months. She had been a civil service employee at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base for 20 years.

She was a member of Retired Military Wives, the Society of Military Widows and the Community Methodist Church of Fairfield.

Mrs. Thoman is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Bohn Allen of Arlington; brother, Robert Hoover of Palos Verdes; grandchildren, Cynthia Stueckler, Kimberly Allen and Shannon Allen Gregory; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thoman was preceded in death by her husband, George, and son, George Jr.

Instead of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to a donor's favorite charity.

Joseph Paul Cauchi

A Mass of Christian burial for Joseph Paul Cauchi, 70, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Dixon.

The Rev. Maurice O'Brien of St. Peter's Catholic Church will officiate. Mr. Cauchi will be buried in Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

Born Jan. 13, 1928, in San Francisco, Mr. Cauchi died Aug. 16, 1998, in Dixon after a long illness.

Mr. Cauchi lived in Dixon for 20 years. He worked for Pan American Airlines for 18 years. After that he worked for the Dixon Cannery. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1958.

He is survived by his wife, Mitsuko of Dixon; sons, John of Portland, Ore., and Ellis and Lawrence, both of Dixon; daughters, Beverly Cauchi-Liebig of Winters, Anna of San Francisco, Laura of Dixon, and Yvonne Leal of Vacaville; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild and one grandchild on the way.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and a rosary will be 7 p.m. at the Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon.
