Ret. Col. Robert Caesar

Graveside services for Ret. Col. Robert Caesar, 75, of Vacaville will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Chaplin Keith Knauf will preside. Interment will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Caesar died Oct. 25, 1998, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born May 12, 1923, in Belleville, Ill., he lived in Vacaville for 23 years. He served 34 years in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association of Travis Air Force Base, and the Order of the Daedalians.

Mr. Caesar is survived by his wife of 54 years, Audrey of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and JoAnn of Livermore and daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Tom Wendt of Santa Barbara; grandchildren, Jeanne Knapp and Sara Wendt, both of Redondo Beach, Steve Wendt of Santa Barbara and Jessica of Citrus Heights; great-grandchildren, McKenna and Sean Knapp of Arizona; brothers, Richard of Illinois and Charles of Florida.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Aid Society of Northern California, P.O. Box 1824, Sacramento.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Horatio S. Chandler

A memorial service for Horatio S. Chandler, 92, of Vacaville will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Vacaville Masonic Lodge, 1897 Cotting Lane in Vacaville.

Inurnment is private and his remains will be scattered at sea by the Neptune Society of Northern California.

Born Oct. 5, 1906, in Vacaville, he died Oct. 25, 1998, in Sacramento.

He had been a Berkeley police officer for 25 years and was an active member of SIRS, the Masons, Berkeley retirement league and enjoyed traveling and sports.

Mr. Chandler is survived by his daughter, Barbara of Oceanside; cousin, Helen Shipp of Vacaville and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial contribution may be made to a favorite charity.

Milta S. Dominici

At her request, no services for Milta S. Dominici, 69, of Vacaville, will be held. Iurnment will be in Puerto Rico.

Mrs. Dominici died Oct. 28, 1998, in Vacaville after a brief illness.

Born April 17, 1929, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, she lived in Vacaville for 32 years. She worked for American Foods for a number of years.

Mrs. Dominici enjoyed cooking in her spare time for her family.

Mrs. Dominici is survived by her husband, Domingo of Vacaville; son, Edwin of Vacaville; grandson, Anthony of Vacaville; 18 brothers and sisters, all of Puerto Rico; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, Redwood Empire Chapter, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa 95402.

Thomas  Jefferson Keys

Memorial services for Thomas  Jefferson Keys, 84, of Vacaville will be 7 p.m. Friday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W.  Texas St. in Fairfield.

Pastor Fred Bentsen will officiate. Private interment will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Keys died Oct. 24, 1998, at VacaValley Hospital following a long illness.

Born Oct. 12, 1914, in Mississippi, he had lived in Vacaville for seven years. He worked in construction before retiring and was a former resident of Kansas City, Mo. before moving to Vacaville.

Mr. Keys is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Kansas City, Mo.; daughters, Lottie Quinn and Mary Hines, both of Vacaville; sons, Thomas Jr. of Vacaville, Benoris of San Leandro, and Marshall of San Francisco; sisters, Dora Jimison of  Louisiana and Carrie Tillis of Mississippi; brothers, Vardamon Fletcher of  Louisiana and John Fletcher of Kansas City; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert T. Nagle

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Robert T. Nagle, 61, of Dixon at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peters Catholic Church.

The Rev. Maurice O'Brien will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Nagle died Oct. 27, 1998, in Dixon after a long illness.

Born Jan. 22, 1937, in the Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Dixon for 25 years.

Mr. Nagle will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Nagle is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kay of Dixon; son, Michael of Dixon; grandchildren, Cameron Thomas and Christian Robert, both of Dixon; sisters, Helen Schortgen of San Francisco and Patricia Ordway of Rhode Island.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today in Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis 95617.

Ramona Orput

Funeral services for Ramona Orput, 90, of Suisun City will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairmont Memorial Park Chapel.

Pastor Glen Green of the Church of God will officiate. Entombment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mrs. Orput died Oct. 26, 1998, at her home after a long illness.

Born June 9, 1908, in Suisun City, she lived in Suisun for 40 years. She was born and educated in Suisun, and graduated from Armijo High School in 1927. She worked for her husband as a secretary in his jewelry store in Suisun and his two jewelry stores in San Francisco for 20 years. She also worked as a secretary for an automobile dealership in Sunnyvale. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Orput enjoyed needlepoint and sewing.

Mrs. Orput is survived by her son, Donald of Richmond; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Horace M. Sepulveda

No services for Horace M. "Soapy" Sepulveda, 79, of Fairfield will be held at his request. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Sepulveda died Oct. 26, 1998, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born Aug. 8, 1919, in Mimbres, N.M., he lived in Fairfield for 42 years. He worked as a stationary engineer for 37 years. During this time he worked at Yountville Veterans Home, Napa State Hospital, and in civil service at Travis Air Force Base, retiring from civil service in 1964. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7244 of Vacaville, AFGE Lodge No. 1764 in Fairfield and member of the Civilian Conservation Corps 1936 in New Mexico.

Mr. Sepulveda enjoyed hunting and camping and was devoted to his grandchildren.

Mr. Sepulveda is survived by his wife, Emily of Fairfield; daughters, Patricia Myers of  Oklahoma and Susana of Fair-field; son, Daniel of Elmira; sisters, Eva Norero of New Mexico, Josephine Gutierrez of Riverside and Reina Fierro of Fresno; brothers, Raul and Johnny, both of New Mexico; seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to Friends of Fisher House, 100 Boden Circle, Travis Air Force Base or Salvation Army, P.O. Box 3157, Fairfield 94533.

Ernesto Pimentel Atilano

A Catholic Prayer Service for Ernesto "Ernie" Pimentel Atilano, 63, of Vallejo will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. Michael Downey of Holy Spirit Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be at Rockville Hills Cemetery.

Born Aug. 27, 1935, in Pasig, Philippines, Mr. Atilano died Oct. 27, 1998, at David Grant Medical Center.

A resident of Vallejo for 24 years, Mr. Atilano served in the Navy from 1954 to 1975 and retired as a chief. He initially served in San Diego, but spent the majority of his time as a property inspector at Mare Island Naval Shipyard.

After he retired from the Navy, he continued working in civil service as a property inspector in Oakland, Vallejo and San Diego until he died. He was also an avid bowler and was a member of the Amateur Bowling Association, in which he participated in many leagues and tournaments.

Mr. Atilano is survived by his wife, Shufeng Janet of Vallejo; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Bret Hussey and Josephine and Steven Bell, all of Suisun City; son, Eduardo of San Francisco; sister, Rosario of San Francisco; brothers, Jose and Remigio, both of Vallejo; and granddaughters, Jeannette Jacla and Katherine and Kristen Bell, both of Suisun City.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Meta Bugden

No funeral services are planned for Meta Bugden, 94, of Newfoundland, Canada. Interment will be at the Anglican Cemetery in Topsail, Newfoundland.

Mrs. Bugden died Oct. 25, 1998, in Gander, Newfoundland.

She was born in 1904. She often visited Vacaville. She also had many friends in Vacaville and Fairfield.

She is survived by her daughters, Doris Ash of Vacaville and Elizabeth (Neville) Burt of Gander; son, Lloyd of Topsail; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Donations can be made to the Lakeside Home, care of Central Northeast Health Foundation, 125 Trans Canada Highway, Gander, Newfoundland, Canada A1V 1P7.

Evelyn Ann Dross

Private graveside services for Evelyn Ann Dross, 80, of Vacaville/Auburn will be Tuesday at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born Dec. 28, 1917, in Milwaukee, Mrs. Dross died Oct. 28, 1998.

She had lived in both Vacaville and Auburn since 1973. Mrs. Dross was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, reading, and shopping for antiques and crafts. She worked at Uptown Fashions for many years with her daughter, Michelle.

Mrs. Dross is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Jacqui of Southern California; son, Gerald of Los Angeles; daughters, Sharon Walker of Thousand Oaks and Darlene Fleming of Sacramento; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Bob Houston of Auburn; seven grandchildren; and six-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Dross.

Arrangements are under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.

Amanda Patricia Bonfante

No funeral services are planned for Amanda Patricia Bonfante, 20, of Richmond. Inurnment will be private.

Born Sept. 26, 1978, in Marin County, she died Oct. 26, 1998, at her home.

She lived in both Vacaville and Fairfield for four years.

She is survived by her parents, Loyd and Shelley and her son, Jordan Patrick, all of Vacaville; parents, Doreen and Frank Perino of Red Bluff; sisters, Andrea and Michelle of Vacaville; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Joe Barron of Vacaville; stepsisters, Kimberly and Tiffany Perino of Red Bluff; brother, Michael of Vacaville; grandparents, Loyd and Yvonne of Novato and H.D. and Jo Davis of Vacaville; great-grandfather, Al of San Pablo; great-grandmother, Inconia Davis of Santa Rosa; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Solano Women's Crisis Center, 1545 N.  Texas St. Suite 201, Fairfield 94533.

Arrangements are under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.

Marty C. Miller

Funeral services for Marty C. Miller, 46, of Vacaville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Twin Chapels Mortuary in Vallejo. Inurnment will be private.

Born July 11, 1952, in Vallejo, Mr. Miller died Oct. 29, 1998, in Vacaville.

A native of Vallejo, Mr. Miller had lived in Vacaville for the past 14 years. He was an engineer at Syar Industries for 15 years and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 3. He was very active in Alcoholics Anonymous. He enjoyed camping, fishing, the outdoors and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his fiancee, Kathleen Ogle of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Ira Ivie of Vacaville; son, Charlie of Vacaville; mother, Rita of Vallejo; brother, Bradley of Vallejo; grandchildren, Jordan and Austin Ivie of Vacaville.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 9 p.m. Monday at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St.

James Clarence Barker

Funeral services for James Clarence Barker, 73, of Suisun City will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Floral Memorial Park in Selma. Interment will follow.

Born Aug. 24, 1925, in Seniole, Okla., Mr. Barker died Oct. 29, 1998, in Fairfield.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was self-employed for 55 years. The last position he held was in automobile sales.

Mr. Barker is survived by his daughters, Joyce  Johnson of Suisun City and Jammie of Fresno; son, James of Fresno; sister, Pauline Hunter of Oakhurst; nephew, Bill of Paso Robles; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. Services in Selma are under the direction of Page Funeral Chapel.

Florencio Villena Calip

Funeral services for Florencio Villena Calip, 54, of Suisun City will be 7 p.m. Monday at the Masonic Lodge.

There will be another service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Michael Downey will officiate. Interment will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born Nov. 24, 1943, in the Philippines, Mr. Calip died Oct. 30, 1998, at Travis Air Force Base.

A resident of Suisun City for 14 years, Mr. Calip served in the Navy for 28 years as an E-9 equal opportunity adviser. He also worked at the San Francisco Post Office for three years.

He was a member of the Masons, Benicia Lodge No. 5 F&AM, as well as Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was a loving husband and father and he loved to work around the house and garden and enjoyed car repairs.

He is survived by his wife, Deogracia of Suisun City; daughters, Sheila, Helen and Jennifer of San Francisco; son-in-law, Juancho Andres of San Francisco; mother, Juana of San Francisco; sisters, Iluminada Jacobs of Santa Barbara, Roseta Javier of South San Francisco, Delia Coleman of Carpenteria and Hermelina of Suisun City; and brother, Cecilio of San Francisco.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with a rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.
