James Trent Mascari Jr.
Memorial services for James Trent Mascari Jr., 30, of Sacramento will be 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Vacaville.
The Rev. Betsy Schwartzentraub will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Mascari died Nov. 22, 1998, in Sacramento after a sudden illness.
Born Aug. 25, 1968, in Orange, N.J., he moved to Sacramento one year ago. He worked as a modular installer for Cimarron of California.
Mr. Mascari is survived by his mother, Kathleen Stutz of Elmira; father, James T. of North Tahoe; brothers, Jason of Elmira and Salvatore Forsman of San Francisco.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Matthew Cloud
A memorial Mass for Matthew Cloud, 41, of Vacaville will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church. Disposition will be private. The Rev. Benedict Leon of St. Mary's Church will officiate.
Born Dec. 28, 1956, in Camp Pendleton, Mr. Cloud died Nov. 23, 1998, in Contra Costa County from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
A resident of Vacaville for 12 years, Mr. Cloud was a technical sergeant with the Air Force. He was a supervisor of maintenance operations at Levine-Fricke in Emeryville. He was a member of the Rose Society and actively involved in the outdoors and camping with his family. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved football.
Mr. Cloud is survived by his wife, Karen of Vacaville; daughters, Danielle of Vacaville and Leanne of American Canyon; son, Joshua of Vacaville; mother, Shirley of Bend, Ore.
There will be a prayer gathering for family and friends at the Cloud residence at 7 p.m. Friday, at 58 Manzanita Drive

Erik Ahllund
The ashes of Erik Ahllund, 72, of Vacaville will be respectfully scattered at sea near the Golden Gate Bridge.
Mr. Ahllund died Nov. 27, 1998, in NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a long illness.
Born May 11, 1926, in Helsinki, Finland, he moved to the United States 30 years ago and to the Vacaville area nine years ago. He was an electrician for United Airlines who enjoyed oil painting, reading, and being a member of the McBride Senior Center.
Mr. Ahllund is survived by his wife, Aili; a sister, Ethel Raine of Finland; and cousins, Fred and Diana Forsberg of Sacramento and Nancy Wilson of Belton, Mo.
Arrangements were made by Neptune Society of Northern California.
Salvador Campos
A Mass of Christian Burial for Salvador Campos, 78, of Vacaville will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.
The Rev. Eugenio Lopez will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Mr. Campos died Nov. 24, 1998, at his Vacaville residence after a short illness.
Born July 11, 1920, in Central America, he moved to the area in 1994. He worked as a cement mason with Sartorio Contracting.
Mr. Campos is survived by his wife, Elisa of Vacaville; daughters, Maria Rego of Redding, Susan Medina of Hercules, and Delmy Porras of Santa Rosa; sons, Robert of Vacaville, Tony of San Francisco and Mario of Windsor.
Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Vaca Hills Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in Vaca Hills Chapel.
Sarah Phyllis Harris
Funeral services for Sarah Phyllis Harris, 78, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
The Rev. Joe Joyce will officiate. Burial will be in the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Harris died Nov. 23, 1998, at her home after a long illness.
Born Nov. 19, 1919, in Homestead, Pa., she moved to Fairfield 33 years ago. Mrs. Harris was a day-care provider for many local children and families for many years. She will always be remembered for her blue eyes, Irish wit, love of music, and beautiful singing voice.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughters, Patricia Scarpa and Gemma Harris of Fairfield; sons, John, Thomas, Robert, and Kenneth and his wife, Samari, all of Fairfield and Michael and his wife, Diana, of Vacaville; her twin brother John P. Williams and his wife, Elisa, of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Harris, in 1974.
A visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. A rosary will be said there at 7 p.m.

Floyd Charles Pixton
Funeral services for Floyd Charles Pixton, 77, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly will officiate. Burial will be in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Mr. Pixton died Nov. 24, 1998, in Vacaville following a long illness.
Born Sept. 22, 1921, in Union, Utah, he served in the Army Signal Corps for 27 years in both active and reserve duty, achieving the rank of major. He retired from Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. after 32 years and was an Eagle Scout.
Mr. Pixton is survived by his wife, Mary of Vacaville; daughters, Marilyn Swisher of Castro Valley, Maureen Kinslow of Vacaville and Roseann Blakely of Fair Oaks; sons, Dennis of Vestal, N.Y., Raymond of Pleasant Hill and Allen of Concord; a brother, Ralph of Salt Lake City, Utah; cousins, Lois Berensen and Overton MaBaum, both of Salt Lake City; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Henrietta Rose Smith
Funeral services for Henrietta Rose Smith, 85, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.
The Rev. Jude Edeie will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery
in San Pablo.
Miss Smith died Nov. 26, 1998, in VacaValley Hospital following a long illness.
Born Oct. 6, 1913, in Port Costa, she had been employed by Lewis Westco in San Francisco, where she had been a floor person. A resident of Vacaville for the past 20 years, she also was a member of the Third Order of Franciscans, St. Mary's Catholic Church, and the Y.L.I. of St. Francis Catholic Church in San Francisco.
Miss Smith is survived by two nieces, Anne R. Davis and Lovina Tyler, both of Vacaville; two nephews, Frank Miller of Winters and Stephen Miller of Indiana; six additional nieces and nephews; and 10 grandnephews and grandnieces.
Friends may call at the Nadeau Family Funeral Home 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Donald Woodruff Disbrow
There will be no services for Lt. Col. Donald Woodruff Disbrow, 74, of Vacaville, who died Nov. 25, 1998, at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base.
Lt. Col. Disbrow had a lifelong passion for aeronautics. He was devoted to his family, his country, and to the Air Force.
During World War II, he served as a B-24 pilot with the 8th Air Force from 1944 to 1945, participating in 35 combat missions. He was shot down twice.
From 1950 to 1951, in the Korean War, he was a troop carrier pilot. He was a Military Airlift Command C-124 commander and also served in the 3rd Air Division in Vietnam in 1962 and 1963. At his retirement in 1966 after 20 years, he was a C-54 standardization pilot for the 60th Air Base Group.
Lt. Col. Disbrow received the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Reserve Medal. He also was a recipient of the Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
After his retirement, he served as president of the Travis Chapter of the Air Force Association, as well as being the editor of the local newsletter for years and an active member.
Lt. Col. Disbrow was also a member of the Order of Daedalians; the Order of Quiet Birdmen; the Retired Officers Association, Solano County Chapter; the Second Air Division Association; the National Rifle Association; and the Experimental Aircraft Association. He was also instrumental in establishing the Air Museum at Travis.
Lt. Col. Disbrow, the son of Wilbur Disbrow and Marguerite Hough, was a native of Omaha, Neb., where he graduated from North High School. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and graduated from pilot training in 1944.
He was married to Lt. Col. Eleanore C. Disbrow, U.S. Air Force, who died in November 1988. They were married at Travis in 1956 and retired there together.
Donations in Lt. Col. Disbrow's name may be made to Fisher House at Travis Air Force Base.
Petronila C. Ortiz
Funeral services for Petronila C. Ortiz, 70, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fairfield.
Interment will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. The Rev. Sebastian Meyers will officiate.
Born Jan. 16, 1928, in Dau, Mabalacat, Philippines, Mrs. Ortiz died Nov. 26, 1998, in Fairfield.
A homemaker for 50 years, she was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She loved to bowl and play bingo, and was a caring mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Ortiz is survived by her husband of 50 years, Teofilo of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Elisa and Howard Lenowsky, and Gloria and James Washington, all of Fairfield, Adelita and Mark McMahan of Dixon, Francing and Mark Hughes of Seattle, Marites and George Ciugno of Derby, Conn., and Lucy and David Fisher of Memphis, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Minnie of Suisun City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Perla and Bert Cerezo of San Jose, and Loly and Bert Joson of Reno; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
James Richard Garrett, 73
Graveside funeral services for James Richard Garrett, 73, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
in Hayward.
The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vacaville will officiate.
Mr. Garrett died Nov. 27, 1998, of complications caused by Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia.
He was born in Seattle. He was a World War II veteran and a Purple Heart recipient, having been wounded in action in Sicily while serving with the 2nd Armored Division.
A resident of Vacaville for the past 19 years, Mr. Garrett retired from California government in 1995. He served in several municipal governments over 35 years.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Royal Arch Masons, the Knights Templar, and the International City Managers Association.
Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife, Lillian of Vacaville; son, James P. of Simi Valley; daughter, Lisa of San Francisco; brother, Joseph of Pleasanton; one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Cecilia G. Headings
Funeral services for Cecilia G. Headings, 84, of Dixon will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Dixon Community Church.

Mrs. Headings died Nov. 26, 1998, in Woodland after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Canada.
Mrs. Headings was a resident of Dixon for the past seven years and a member of the Dixon Community Church.
She also was an avid quilter.
Mrs. Headings is survived by her husband, Earl; daughter, Genevieve McDonald of Condon, Ore.; son, Frank Mello Jr. of Merced; sisters, Susan Toth of Visalia, Helen Major of Indiana and Susie Mello of Merced; brothers, Jake Fenrich of Sacramento, Phillip Fenrich of Roseville, John Fenrich of Manteca, and Pete Fenrich of Hilmar; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers Steve and Joe Fenrich.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Gizella Bessemer
Private family services will be held for Gizella Bessemer, 95, who died on Nov. 30, 1998, in the Vacaville Convalescent Hospital and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

Born on Feb. 25, 1903, in Hungary, Mrs. Bessemer was the owner and operator of Marie's Candy and Gift Shop in Hot Springs, Ark., for 15 years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Lorraine Bessemer of Vacaville; sister-in-law, Mary Balsai of Hot Springs, Ark.; grandchildren, Barbara Bessemer of Vacaville and Janet and John McGrew of Las Vegas, Nev., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
