Ricardo N. Bareng

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ricardo N. Bareng, 60, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Interment will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will officiate.

Born Dec. 16, 1937, in  Jones Isabela, the Philippines, Mr. Bareng died Dec. 2, 1998, in Vallejo.

A resident of Fairfield for 10 years, Mr. Bareng worked as a manager for the National Electric Administration in the Philippine Islands for two years. He was a professor at the Philippine College of Commerce for five years, a high school teacher for three years and a municipal councilman for eight years. He worked as an editor and columnist for numerous newspapers in the Philippines and the United States for many years.

He came to the United States in 1981. From 1981 to 1989 he was a teacher for the Santa Clara Unified School District, and from 1989 to 1995 he was an adult and special-education specialist for the Vallejo Unified School District.

Mr. Bareng was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Couples for Christ, Disciples for Jesus, Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was an officer in various Filipino and political organizations. He was also a member of Solano Affirmative Action at Solano Community College.

Mr. Bareng is survived by his wife, Aurora of Fairfield; daughter, Nadyne of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Divina and Allan Alviola of San Jose; son, Armand of San Jose; son and daughter-in-law, Ricardo and Earlyn of San Jose; sisters and brothers-in-law, Luzviminda and Nemy Panaligan of San Jose, and Gloria and Alex Rivera of Vallejo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Avelino and Tucksan of Concord, Bernardo and Lita of Castro Valley, and Cipriano and Cora of Fremont; and three granddaughters.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Bryan Braker Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Christine Paoli Sullivan

A Catholic Prayer Service for Christine Paoli Sullivan, 71, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela of Holy Spirit Catholic Church will officiate.

Born Sept. 24, 1927, in Vallejo, Mrs. Sullivan died Dec. 1, 1998, in Fairfield.

A lifelong resident of Fairfield, Mrs. Sullivan worked for Ken McArdle and John Carter Farmers Insurance for 17 years. A graduate of Armijo High School in 1946, she loved animals, gardening and bingo.

She is survived by her former husband, Frederick of San Mateo; daughter, Kathleen of Redwood City; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Ronald Cosenza of Suisun City; sons, Steven Summers and Timothy, both of Fairfield; grandchildren, Stephanie Bivens of Bakersfield and Ronald Cosenza of Suisun City; great-grandchild, Jeremy Bivens of Bakersfield; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Albert George Whipple

Services for Albert George Whipple, 76, of Crystal, Minn., will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel in Marysville.

Officials from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints First Ward of Marysville will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born Oct. 14, 1922, in Kalamazoo, Mich., Mr. Whipple died Nov. 25, 1998, in Crystal, Minn.

Mr. Whipple was a resident of Vacaville while stationed at Travis Air Force Base. A resident of Marysville for 30 years, he was a senior master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force and served for 27 years. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He is survived by his daughter, Viva Long of Crystal; brother, Otie Bisbee of Paso Robles; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris, the former owner of La Vays Ceramic Nook in Marysville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel in Marysville.

Ollie L. Rollison

Funeral services for Ollie L. Rollison, 82, of Dixon will be private.

Born April 26, 1916, in York County, S.C., Mrs. Rollison died Dec. 3, 1998, in Davis.

A resident of Dixon and Solano County for the last two years, Mrs. Rollison worked for more than 45 years as a homemaker in  South Carolina prior to moving to Dixon to be with her daughter. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist church. She enjoyed crocheting and all kinds of crafts and loved doing word puzzles.

Mrs. Rollison is survived by her daughter, Betty Slye of Dixon; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Marcellus Funderburke of Gastoni, N.C.; grandson and his wife, Harry and Alvina Slye of Yokota, Japan; granddaughter and her husband, Crystal and William  Jackson of Chesapeake, Va.; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, Redwood Empire Chapter, P.O.Box 844, Santa Rosa 95402.

Arrangements are under the direction of Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Tim Charles Killworth Ewen

Funeral services for Tim Charles Killworth Ewen, 35, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Chaplain W B Barnes of the Solano County Sheriff's Department will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Born April 29, 1963, in San Francisco's Presidio, Mr. Ewen died Nov. 27, 1998, in Fairfield.

A lifelong resident of Fairfield, Mr. Ewen was a graduate of Armijo High School's 1982 class and a graduate of Solano Community College's firefighting academy in 1986.

He was a graduate of Army technical schools in heavy-equipment repair and operations and aircraft payload officer. He served seven years in the Army and the California National Guard with an overseas tour in Korea and participated in multiple disaster operations in the state.

Mr. Ewen worked for six years as a firefighter at Treasure Island for the Department of the Navy until 1992. He was a member of the National Fraternal Order of Firefighters.

Mr. Ewen is survived by his wife, Michelle of Fairfield; daughters, Kristan, Amy and April, all of Fairfield; mother and stepfather, Nedla Ewen and Randy Powers of Vacaville; father and stepmother, Robert and Scottie Killworth of Tempe, Ariz.; brothers, Todd and Thomas both of Fairfield; grandparents, Ned and Jane Wilbur of Fairfield; stepbrother, Scott Killworth of Tempe, Ariz.; stepsister, Wendy Killworth of Tempe, Ariz.; and aunt and uncle, Lora and Charles Wilbur of Columbus, Ga.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Mildred March Garlichs

There will be private services for Mildred March Garlichs, 100, of Vacaville.

Inurnment will be in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born Oct. 20, 1898, on a ranch in rural Vacaville, she died Dec. 4, 1998, in Vacaville.

She celebrated her 100th birthday at the Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center. At the gathering of friends and family, she was awarded a plaque for being the oldest living Vacaville Union High School alumnus.

She graduated with a class of 10 in 1917. She spent her entire life in Vacaville. Besides being a homemaker, she was active in clubs, church and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Van Der Molea of Bellevue, Wash., and Gretchen Larrabee of Vacaville; sister, Dorothy Evans of Vacaville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Daisy Manuel and Georgiabeth Page.

Arrangements are under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.

Albert Edward Gregor

A memorial mass for Albert Edward Gregor, 84, of Yountville will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yountville.

Inurnment will be private.

Born April 8, 1914, in Barton, Ohio, Mr. Gregor died Dec. 1, 1998, in Vallejo.

Mr. Gregor worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 34 years before retiring in 1971. He was a member of S.I.R.S. of Napa County, Knights of Columbus in Vallejo, the USS Milwaukee (CL-5) Shipmates Association and Yountville Five Football. He enjoyed golf, gardening and travel all over the United States.

Mr. Gregor is survived by his sister, Ethel of Michigan; brothers, Andy of Michigan and Bill of Florida; sons, Dennis of Vallejo, David of Vacaville, Michael of Healdsburg and Bill Elpers of Arizona; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Struble Family Funeral Services.

Esther Deichert

Funeral services for Esther Deichert, 86, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bethany Lutheran Church in Vacaville.

The Rev. Lester Seto will officiate. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Alta Mesa Memorial Park.

Mrs. Deichert died Dec. 5, 1998, in Fairfield after a sudden illness.

Born Dec. 21, 1911, in Austria, she had been a resident of Fairfield and of Solano County for the past six years. She worked in retail sales for Liberty House for 20 years in Palo Alto. Mrs. Deichert was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was active for many years in the church choir at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Los Altos. She was also a longtime volunteer with over 3,000 hours of service with the El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. She enjoyed playing the organ and making crafts.

Mrs. Deichert is survived by her daughter, Marcia of Vacaville, and she was preceded in death by her husband Harold C. Deichert in 1969.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Albert 'Buster' Ichtertz

No services will be held for Albert "Buster" Ichtertz, 86, of Winters.

Born Feb. 6, 1912, in Winters, Mr. Ichtertz died at home on Dec. 4, 1998.

A lifelong resident of Winters, he worked for 33 years as a troubleshooter for Pacific Gas and Electric Co.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He belonged to the American African Violet Society and the Pacific Service Employees Association.

He liked to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Myrtle of Winters; daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Jens Larsen of Vacaville, and Gaylene and Harold Anderson of Winters; grandchildren, Mike Larsen and his wife, Kimberly, of Vacaville, Lanisa Larsen of Vacaville, Eric and Brian Anderson of Winters, and a great-grandchild.

Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Alice B. Lambro

A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice B. Lambro, 86, of Fairfield, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Michael Downey will officiate.

Burial will follow in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Lambro died Dec. 6, 1998, at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 30, 1912, in Sonoma, she was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was an active parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, Young Ladies Institute-St. Alphonsus, No. 125.

Mrs. Lambro is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur M. and Teri Lambro of San Mateo, Robert W. and Barbara Lambro of Danville and James H. and Gwen Lambro of San Jose; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail P. Sovik of Pittsburg, Teresa M. and Roy Latham of Seaside, Ore., and Catherine A. and Don Gach of Seaside; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in 1992 by her husband, Arthur J. Lambro.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, with a rosary set for 7 p.m.

Edith Marjorie Lobe

Funeral services for Edith Marjorie Lobe, 70, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Elaine Lehr of NorthBay Medical Center will officiate.

An Order of the Eastern Star memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Entombment will be at the Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Born Jan. 27, 1928, in Melrose, Mass., Mrs. Lobe died Dec. 4, 1998, in Fairfield after a short illness.

Mrs. Lobe lived in Fairfield for 43 years.

She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose in Fairfield. She also belonged to the Ladies of Montezuma Shrine Club in Vacaville and the Suisun Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Frank of Fairfield; daughter, Diane Williams of Oakley; son, James Walsh Jr. of Vacaville; sister, Dorothy Nelson of Ipswish, Mass., and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Ben Ali Temple Transportation Fund, 3262 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento.

Terrie Renea Stowers-Sevilla

Funeral services for Terrie Renea Stowers-Sevilla, 39, of Vacaville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home Chapel, 1850 W.  Texas St., Fairfield.

Pastor Dean Pense of Crossroads Christian Church in Vacaville will officiate.

Burial will follow at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Stowers-Sevilla died Dec. 2, 1998, in Vacaville.

Born Oct. 26, 1959, in Biloxi, Miss., she lived in Vacaville for the last 27 years.

A 14-year veteran of the Air Force, she worked as a loadmaster for C-141 aircraft, assigned to the 708 AL squadron, 349th Air Mobility Wing, reserves.

A member of the Crossroads Christian Church in Vacaville, she graduated from Fairfield High School in 1977.

Mrs. Stowers-Sevilla is survived by her husband, Roland of Vacaville; daughter, Kelly Moore of Fairfield; mother, Ardyce Best of Seattle; father, John Stowers of Stockton; son, Terrence John Colson of Fairfield; stepdaughter, Megan Sevilla of Rancho Cordova; sisters, Laura Miller of Vacaville, Jackie McCoy, Donna Trent and Valerie Bacon, all of Fairfield.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home Chapel.
