Dominique Williams

Graveside funeral services for Dominique Marie McKinney Williams, 2 days old, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

The Rev. Claybon Lea of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Suisun will officiate.

Dominique died at NorthBay Medical Center on Dec. 19, 1998.

Born Dec. 17, 1998, in Fairfield, she is survived by her parents, Stephen and Tesha Williams of Fairfield; sister, Nitesha Silas of Fairfield; brothers, Zerick Silas of Fairfield and Jai McKinney of Seattle, Wash.; grandparents, Percyne and Stephen Williams of Fairfield, Norris Leslie of Honduras, and Betty McKinney of Dallas,  Texas; great-grandmother, Shirley Worthy of Fairfield; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Amos Bannerman

Graveside services with military honors for Amos Bannerman, 69, of Fairfield will be at 10 a.m. today at Rockville Cemetery. The Rev. Lou Harris of Assembly of God Church will officiate. Interment will be at Rockville Cemetery.

Born April 9, 1929, in Okeechobee, Fla., Mr. Bannerman died Dec. 17, 1998, in Palo Alto.

Mr. Bannerman served in the Navy for four years and then enlisted in the Air Force, serving for 17 years before retiring in 1967. After that he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Novella of Fairfield; daughters, Veronica Bannerman-Wilson of Vallejo, Cynthia  Johnson of Okinawa, Japan, Patricia  Jackson of Hawaii, Jennifer Bannerman-Debrow of Fairfield; sons, Harold of Fairfield, Earl Ali Bannerman of Saudi Arabia; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Ernest Edward Gaddy

No formal services will be held for Ernest Edward Gaddy, 64, of Suisun City. Inurnment will be in Lilefville, N.C.

Born Dec. 23, 1933, in Wadesboro, N.C., Mr. Gaddy died Dec. 21, 1998, at home.

He retired from the Navy in 1973 after 20 years of service. He also worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard and retired in 1992.

Mr. Gaddy is survived by his wife, Patricia of Suisun City; son, Bryan of Santa Rosa; daughters, Pamela Riley of Tampa, Fla., and Bonnie Sauer of Greenwich, R.I.; brothers, John, Jesse and Furman, all of Wadesboro, N.C., George of Greensboro, N.C., James of Asheville, N.C., and Clyde of Lilefville; sisters, Ila Grace Boyd of Cheraw, S.C., Brenda Sue of Society Hill, N.C., Clarice Martin of Asheville, Mary Ruth Newton of Lilefville; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Richard D. Erickson

Funeral services for Richard D. Erickson, 56, of Vacaville will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McCune Garden Chapel. Chaplain Keith Knauf will officiate. Burial will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery.

Born March 25, 1942, in Ogden, Iowa, Mr. Erickson died Dec. 22, 1998, in Vacaville.

A Vacaville resident for 32 years, Mr. Erickson served in the Air Force for four years and then worked in construction, most recently for Syar Industries. He also tended the bar at Sam's 519 Club and Brigadoon Restaurant and Bar. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for 20 years, and enjoyed working on cars with his wife, bowling and Keno.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel of Vacaville; daughter, Lisa of Vacaville; sons, Richard II, David, Forrest, and Troy Waldren, all of Vacaville; sisters, Annette Tannabill and Roberta Eden, both of Los Angeles; sisters, Carmen Mann and Jeanie Moore, both of Orange County, and Linda and Susan Asklund, both of Iowa.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, Redwood Empire Chapter, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa 95402, or a charity of the donor's choice.

Kenneth M. Gandy

Formal services for Kenneth M. Gandy, 71, of Kaufman,  Texas, will be held in  Texas. Interment will be held in the Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Kaufman.

Born July 17, 1927, in  Texas, Mr. Gandy died Dec. 23, 1998, while visiting relatives in Vacaville.

Mr. Gandy was last employed by Kaufman School District for three years and retired from Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman. He also worked for Chance Vought Aircraft for 25 years. He was a member of F. & A. M. Lodge No. 103, in Kaufman.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Kaufman; daughters, Carolyn Ballard of Kaufman and Betty Screws of Bogota,  Texas; sons, Michael of Nacogdoches,  Texas, and Gary of Westminster,  Texas; brothers, Carter of Fort Worth,  Texas, and Clifton of Dallas; sister, Fayrene Newell of Malakoff,  Texas; grandchildren, Darrin and Rhonda Screws, Wendy Oliver, Cheryl Timms, Michael and Gayla Hughes, Jonathan, Audrey and Cristal Gandy, all from  Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Constance Ruth Harless

Funeral services for Constance "Connie" Ruth Harless, 34, of Vacaville will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church in Pinole. Disposition will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in San Pablo.

Born March 3, 1964, in San Francisco, Ms. Harless died Dec. 18, 1998, in Yolo County after a traffic accident.

A secretary with United Airlines for five years, she was a Vacaville resident for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her 9-year-old son.

She is survived by her son, Ryan Lee Harless of Vacaville; brothers, Steven Lee Harless of Vacaville and Timothy Bernard Harless of Pleasant Hill; and parents, Bernard and Ruth Harless of Pinole.

A rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at  Schmidt & Dixon Funeral Home.

Ruth Mary Johnson

Funeral services for Ruth Mary Johnson, 80, of Fairfield will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cordelia Ward church. Bishop Eugene Muzzio will officiate. Interment will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery on Monday.

Born May 14, 1918, in Tooele, Utah, Mrs.  Johnson died Dec. 22, 1998, in San Francisco.

A Fairfield resident for 46 years, Mrs.  Johnson worked for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District for 28 years as a teacher at Mark  Woods and Amy Blanc elementary schools from 1953-81. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fourth Ward, and was a member of the Solano Choral Society for 27 years. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe. She loved collecting and polishing rocks, and was an avid beachcomber. She served a family history mission in Salt Lake City.

Mrs.  Johnson is survived by her daughter, Susan of Chico; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dean Dark of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carol of Vacaville; sister, Elma Stoddard of New York; and six grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cordelia Ward church.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cancer Hope Program, c/o Dr. Jordan Wilbur, 2410 Clay St., San Francisco 94115.

Mollie Love

Funeral services for Mollie Love, 80, of Fairfield will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Stan Sanderson of Church of Christ in Fairfield will officiate. Interment will be in Rockville cemetery.

Born Dec. 27, 1917, in Chicago, Mrs. Love died Dec. 21, 1998, at NorthBay Medical Center.

A Fairfield resident for 36 years, Mrs. Love was a homemaker for 50 years. She also worked for Star Catering for 12 years. She was a member of Senior America and loved animals and playing bingo. She loved parties and large family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband, Joy C. of Fairfield; sons, Kenneth and Michael, both of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Kathy of Granite Bay.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Jamna Prasad

Funeral services for Jamna Prasad, 79, of Vallejo will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Acharya Virendra Mishra Shastri will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Born Nov. 13, 1919, in Suva, Fiji Islands, Mr. Prasad died Dec. 22, 1998, in Oakland.

A Vallejo resident for 15 years, Mr. Prasad was a driver for City Transportation in the Fiji Islands for 20 years. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He also enjoyed his family and social gatherings.

He is survived by his wife, Phul of Vallejo; daughter and son-in-law, Binda and Dewakar Singh of Pittsburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Jamika and Gurnam of Vallejo, Chandrika and Sakuntla of Hayward, Subhasi and Puspha Chandra of Vallejo, Jai and Anjani of Vallejo, Jai and Anjula of Hayward; brother, Juddu Maharat of Fiji Islands and Ganga Maharat of New Zealand; sister, Didi Fua of Fiji Islands; and 12 grandchildren.

Charlotte Rose Pressas

A Mass of the Resurrection for Charlotte Rose Pressas, 60, of Gordon Valley will be at 7:15 p.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Revs. Michael Downey and David Purdy of Saints Peter and Paul church in San Francisco will officiate. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born March 11, 1938, in Oakland, Mrs. Pressas died Dec. 23, 1998, in Vallejo from complications of diabetes.

A resident of Gordon Valley almost all of her life, she was the owner/operator of Associated Bookkeeping and Tax Service from 1970-96 in Fairfield. She attended Holy Spirit Church and graduated from Armijo High School in 1956. She was involved in genealogy and enjoyed her family's recreational vehicle. She was a member of the Vacaville Women of the Moose, a lifelong volunteer of NorthBay Hospital Guild, the Kaiser clinic in Fairfield and was a past president of the Solano County Republican Women Federation.

Mrs. Pressas is survived by her husband, Harold of Gordon Valley; daughter, Annette of Oakland; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Ken Moy of Fairfield; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Frank Wilson of  Washington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Junie Lockwood of Alameda, Tony and Karlene Lockwood of Fairfield, Danny and Shelly Lockwood of Los Osos, Jimmy and Joyce Lockwood of Fairfield; brothers, Howard of Vacaville, Richard of Fairfield, and Joseph of San Francisco; grandchildren, Amanda Moy of Fairfield and Jessica Wilson of  Washington.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St., No. 4, Fairfield, 94533 or the American Diabetes Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Mary Ann Gatchel

Services for Mary Ann Gatchel, 80, formerly of Vacaville, will be 8:15 a.m. Monday at Berge-Pappas-Smith Mortuary in Fremont.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Monday at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Fremont. Burial will be in San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine.

Mrs. Gatchel died Dec. 22, 1998, in  Washington Township Hospital.

Born March 24, 1918, in Windber, Pa., she lived in Vacaville for five years before moving to Union City about a year ago. Mrs. Gatchel was a homemaker for 57 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Giovannis of Newark; sons, John Jr. of Rio Rancho, N.M., Robert of Arlington,  Texas, Theodore of Prospect, Ohio., and David of Reno; sister, Helen Willis of Pensicola, Fla.; brother, Frank Karkowsky of Cranford, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Gatchel was preceded in death by her husband, John, who died in 1996.

Visitation is noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Berge-Pappas-Smith Mortuary. A vigil will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Berge-Pappas-Smith Mortuary.

Thomas Richard Lyons

A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas Richard Lyons, 67, of Davis will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Catholic Church in Davis.

The Rev. Daniel Looney will officiate.

Mr. Lyons died Dec. 21, 1998.

Born April 29, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was a long-time resident of Alameda. He moved to Vacaville in 1983 and then to Davis in 1995. He was a registered mechanical engineer, a real estate broker and a real estate appraiser. He was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of San Francisco.

Mr. Lyons is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joan Alicia of Davis; children, Anne Heaphy of Fairfax, Joan Lynch of Woodland, Marie Geisser of Sacramento, Thomas Jr. of Vacaville, John of Alameda and James of King City; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

Michael A. Povitsky

Graveside funeral services for Michael A. Povitsky, 50, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Monday at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery, 2201 Sacramento St., in Vallejo.

Cantor Jim Heilborn of B'Nai Israel Temple in Vallejo will officiate. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Povitsky died Dec. 24, 1998, in NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born Feb. 24, 1948, in Chicago, he moved to Fairfield 12 years ago. He worked as an electronics technician for Glory USA for 30 years.

Mr. Povitsky is survived by his wife Michele, of Fairfield; daughters, Wendy and Marcie Povitsky, both of Virginia; stepdaughters, Ann Jordan of Dixon, Beth Cheney of Missouri and Janet Harms of Folsom; sisters, Fern Grate and Cheryl Day, both of Chicago; and one grandchild.
