Maria Susans
Memorial services for Maria Susans, 69, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Friday at Salvation Army, 1216 Missouri St., to be followed by graveside services at Presidio San Francisco at 12:30 p.m. Burial of ashes with husband will be at Presidio.
Mrs. Susans died Feb. 8, 1999, in Sunrise Care Center after a long illness.
Born April 12, 1929, in Aschaffenburg, Germany, she lived in Fairfield for 25 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Susans enjoyed sewing, knitting and gardening.
Mrs. Susans is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karin and Arthur Lee of Fairfield; grandsons, Jon and Brian Lee of Fairfield; great-grandchildren, Lorynne Kay Michaels and Andrew Anthony Lee of Fairfield; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Carlos Valantine of San Diego; sister-in-law, Johanna Bechtold of Aschaffenburg; numerous nieces and nephews.

Martha Negron
Memorial Mass for Martha Negron, 54, of Fairfield will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officate. Disposition will be private.
Mrs. Negron died Feb. 15, 1999, in her home in Fairfield after an illness.
Born June 9, 1944, in Hillside, N.J., she lived in Fairfield for 12 years. Her prior residence was Flanders, N.J. from 1975-1987. She had bachelor's and medical technologist degrees and worked for Bio-Cypher Laboratories for 30 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Mrs. Negron enjoyed gardening and reading.
Mrs. Negron is survived by her husband, Hector of Fairfield; son, Jason of Fairfield; father and step-mother, Walter and Marie Stump of Barnegnt, N.J.; sister, Judy Stump of Elk Grove; brothers, Daniel Stump of Gilbertsville, Ky., and Peter Stump of Champagne, Ill.

Yao Pao Cho Saeteurn
Graveside services for Yao Pao Cho Saeteurn, 58, of Fairfield will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Rockville Cemetery, 4219 Suisun Valley Road.
Mr. Saeteurn died Feb. 13, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield following a short illness.
Born July 7, 1940, in Laos, Mr. Saeteurn had lived in Fairfield for 11 years. He served in the Laotian army in the 1960s and worked as a farmer in Laos for 30 years before coming to America. He loved to fish and was a devoted father and family man.
Mr. Saeteurn is survived by his wife, Ying Saeteurn of Fairfield; sons, Nai Pao of Suisun, Seang Pao Saeteurn, San Pao Saeteurn and Lai Pao Saeteurn, all of Fairfield; daughters, Farm Pao Saeteurn of Oakland and Fey Pou Saeteurn of Fairfield; a brother in France and six grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Francisco Gamboa Galura
Funeral services for Francisco Gamboa Galura, 80, of Suisun will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will preside. Burial will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.
Mr. Galura died Feb. 17, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield following a short illness.
Born Dec. 23, 1918, in the Philippine Islands, he was a former resident of San Francisco who lived in Suisun for three years.
He was a dispatcher and driver in the transit system in the Philippines.
Mr. Galura is survived by his wife, Nicolasa of Suisun; daughters, Maria Teresita Manalo, Estrelita Dimacali, Ledilla Yumul, Rosalnida Domingo, Genedina Cruz, all of Suisun, and Jocelyn Javier of Daly City; sons, Romeo of Fairfield, Dante of Daly City and Hector of San Francisco; sisters, Eufrocina Gambo, Conchita Bituin, Maria and Petronila, all of the Philippines; brother, Pedro of the Philippines; 30 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today through Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral home and Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Church.
Lewis McAfee
Funeral services for Lewis McAfee, 88, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Rocha's Mortuary Chapel.
Pastor Jimmy McClelland of Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lodi Memorial Cemetery
following service.
Mr. McAfee died Feb. 16, 1999, in his home.
Born July 9, 1910, in Ohio, he lived in Vacaville for four years. He worked as an operating engineer and was a member of Local 3.
Mr. McAfee is survived by his daughter, Patricia Bonner of Pioneer; sons, Lewis Jr. of Louisville, Ky., Paul of Redding and Tony of Rio Vista; sister, Isabelle Mary Sollers of New London, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Joanne Brower.
Arrangements are by Rocha's Mortuary in Lodi.
Beverly Miller
There will be no services for Beverly Miller, 70, of Merced at her request.
Mrs. Miller died Feb. 16, 1999, at her home after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 28, 1928, in Salt Lake City, she was a longtime resident of Vacaville. She retired from Farmers Insurance in Merced.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, David of Vacaville; daughters, Barbara of Vacaville, Michele Kirk of Dixon and Kathleen of Pleasanton; sister, Jan Bruseard of Salt Lake City; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Neptune Society of Northern California in Fairfield.
Frank Poole
Funeral services for Frank Poole, 30, of San Leandro will be 11 a.m. Monday at Santos-Robinson Mortuary in San Leandro.
Mr. Poole died Feb. 18, 1999, in his home after a sudden illness.
Born Nov. 23, 1968, in Oakland, Mr. Poole moved to Vacaville in 1981 and graduated from Vacaville High School. After leaving high school, he returned to the Bay Area and took up a career in sales and animal care.
Mr. Poole enjoyed fishing and life in general.
Mr. Poole is survived by his father and stepmother, Clif and JoAnne of Vacaville; mother, Joyce of San Leandro; stepsisters, Lori Eastment of Pleasanton and Cindy Calton of Vacaville; brothers, Rick of Vacaville and Glen and Ron of San Leandro; and numerous aunt and uncles.
Visitation will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel at Santos-Robinson Mortuary in San Leandro.
Margaret Mary Rosenbrock
Services for Margaret Mary Rosenbrock of Vacaville will be private at the family's request. Interment will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Mrs. Rosenbrock died Feb. 18, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital.
Born in Chicago, she resided in Vacaville for the past 10 years. She was a homemaker her adult life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Rosenbrock is survived by her husband, John D. of Vacaville; son, Donald of San Anselmo; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Genevieve 'Penny' Schwind
Graveside services for Genevieve "Penny" Schwind, 77, of Green Valley will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Rockville Cemetery.
Stan Sanderson will officiate. Interment will be in Rockville Cemetery.
Mrs. Schwind died Feb. 17, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a short illness.
Born Sept. 7, 1921, in Richmond, she resided in Green Valley for 27 years. She lived in Richmond for 50 years. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family.
Mrs. Schwind enjoyed playing bingo. She and her late husband very much enjoyed taking care of their home in Green Valley.
Mrs. Schwind is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Annie of Modesto and Dan and Sheryl of Vacaville; sons, Bob of Rodeo and Bill of Grants Pass, Ore.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford in 1984.

Joshua Robert Cooney
Services for Joshua Robert Cooney, 19, of Manteca will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.
Burial will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Pastors Pat Welsh and Larry Hopper of Manteca, and Gary Walker of Vacaville will officiate.
Born Aug. 25, 1979, in Downey, Mr. Cooney died Feb. 13, 1999, in Riverside.
He enjoyed playing his guitar and eating his grandmother's Italian cooking.
Mr. Cooney is survived by his father, Stephen of Manteca; mother, Kristen Sachse of Southern California; brothers, Stephen and Ryan; sisters, Dawn, Tamara, Bethany, Kaylee and Stephanie; grandparents, Robert and Emma Cooney of Vacaville; grandmother, Susan Lathers of Southern California; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins living in Vacaville and Southern California.
Franklin Gallion
Graveside services for Franklin Gallion, 101, of Vacaville will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.
Dr. Raleigh Galgan will officiate.
Born March 10, 1897, in Harriman, Tenn., Mr. Gallion died Feb. 19, 1999, in Fairfield.
Mr. Gallion was born to Dr. Ernest and Mae Franklin Gallion and was the youngest of three children.
Because their parents died early, the three Gallion children were raised by their grandfather, Hood Franklin, on his homestead. The family still owns the original home where Mr. Gallion learned to work with his grandfather at the grain mill and on many acres of land. He walked for miles in those days, as was the custom, and that apparently instilled a love of hiking he enjoyed into his "golden years."
After graduating from high school, Mr. Gallion joined the Navy in 1917. He completed business college while in the service and was sent to Yeoman's school. He was stationed at Annapolis, Md., and also Goat Island. He served from 1917 to 1921 and was discharged in San Francisco.
He had met Ruby Horton of Knoxville, Tenn., and they corresponded for four years before she left Tennessee and they were married in 1925 in San Francisco. He worked for Dunham, Carrigan and Hayden Company and remained with that business for 40 years, while his wife was employed for many years as a secretary.
After retiring, the couple moved to Leisure Town and lived there until 1985 when they moved to Lemon Tree Court. His hobbies were gardening, hiking and square dancing. He belonged to local clubs and danced until he was 90. He attended Valley Free Evangelical Church. He was a member of Veterans' Post No. 7244.
He is survived by his niece, Phyllis Coulter of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife.
Luvada Pittman-Reed
Funeral services for Luvada Pittman-Reed, 60, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Suisun.
The Rev. Dr. Claybon Lea Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Suisun Fairfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Pittman-Reed died Feb. 16, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a short illness.
Born May 1, 1938, in Mer Rouge, La., she lived in Fairfield for four years. She worked at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville as an office assistant for four years.
Mrs. Pittman-Reed is survived by her daughters, Constance Wilson-Pittman and Patrice Wilson-Pittman, both of Fairfield; son, Trent Pittman of Fairfield; mother, Zenobia Swinson of Alameda; sister, Billie Lyles of Fairfield; brothers, Lonal Pittman of Oakland and Cliemal Pittman of Barboursville, Ky.; four nieces; a nephew; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Agnes Larsen Darnell
A memorial service for Agnes Larsen Darnell, 64, of Vacaville will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in Unity Church of the Valley.
The Rev. Vic Jenkins will officiate. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Darnell died Feb. 20, 1999, in Vacaville after a long illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1934, on St. Paul Island, The Pribilofs, Alaska, she lived in Vacaville for the past 26 years. She was an educator for 20 years and worked as a real estate agent for 10 years. She also served on the Vacaville Unified School District Board from 1978 to 1982.
She was a member of Unity Church of the Valley in Vacaville.
Mrs. Darnell is survived by her husband, Larry of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen of Vacaville; son, Robert of Alameda; daughter, Lauren of Sterling, Va.; brother, John Larsen of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Mary Ryan of San Antonio, May Stuteville and Linda Larsen of Houston, and Kathryn McKennon and Edna Huwe of Seattle.
