Nancy Jean Campi

Funeral services for Nancy Jean Campi, 78, of Fairfield will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Michael Downey will officiate. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Campi died Feb. 18, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born Sept. 27, 1920, in San Francisco, she lived in Fairfield for 30 years. She worked for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District for over 20 years as a teacher's aide. She began at Tolenas Elementary School as the district's first teacher's aide. She retired in 1969. She served on the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery District Board from 1996-1999. She was a charter member of Cordelia Fire Department Womens Auxiliary, a past member of Soroptimist International and a member of Intercommunity Hospital Guild.

Mrs. Campi is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Cheryl Campi of Green Valley; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Harriet Macon of Sacramento; grandsons, Jim Jr. and his wife Theresa of Vacaville and Michael of Fairfield; nieces, Carol Dunn and Cathy Lynch of Sacramento and Patsy  Jones of Oregon; nephews, Chris Macon of Marysville, Warren Alonzo of San Francisco and Ronnie Wilson of Martinez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Stanley in 1996. They were married in the old St. Alphonses Church in Suisun.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with a vigil at 7 p.m. in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions preferred to Cordelia Volunteer Fireman Scholarship Fund, 2155 Cordelia Road, Suisun, 94585.

Gene 'Curtis' Drew

A memorial service for Gene "Curtis" Drew, 20, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

E. Gordon Wells Jr., president of the Vacaville Stake, will preside. Inurnment will be in Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Drew died Feb. 25, 1999, in his home after a long illness.

Born Dec. 30, 1978, in Hahn, Germany, he resided in Solano County for more than 15 years.

Mr. Drew enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating with his father. He liked to listen to his brother David's band rehearse and going to their concerts and snowboarding with his brothers. He liked jumping on the trampoline with his niece and nephew and going with his mom to Dairy Queen.

Mr. Drew is survived by his parents, Jack B. and Cynthia R. of Vacaville; brothers, Chris and David, both of Vacaville, and many friends and relatives.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Joseph Gerald Ferrozzo

A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Joseph Gerald Ferrozzo, 64, of Vacaville at 1 p.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Benedict De Leon of St. Mary's Catholic Church will preside. Burial will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery following the Mass.

Mr. Ferrozzo died Feb. 26, 1999, in his home after a long illness.

Born Oct. 28, 1934, in St. Paul, Minn., he resided in Vacaville and Solano County for more than 16 years. He worked for more than 20 years as a commissary manager in the United States Navy.

Mr. Ferrozzo was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and all kinds of sports. He also loved to cook and tinker.

Mr. Ferrozzo is survived by his wife, Dolores of Vacaville; sons, Rico of Denver,  Colo., and Rocky of Spokane, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn and John Keenan of Denver,  Colo.; seven grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Salvatore and Barbara of St. Paul; sister, Joanne Melquist of St. Paul; sister and brother-in-law, Alyce and Tom Mayer of St. Paul; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 10 this morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville. A rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m. also at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 290 Fruitvale Road, Vacaville, 95688.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Gunar Eike Armin Knorr

Funeral services for Gunar Eike Armin Knorr, 57, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Thursday in McCune Garden Chapel.

Pastor Ted Parks of Vacaville Church of Christ will preside. Interment will be in San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine.

Mr. Knorr died Feb. 27, 1999, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born March 17, 1941, in Germany, he resided in Vacaville. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a contractor in San Francisco. He was a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Knorr is survived by his wife, Cristine of Vacaville; and two daughters, Margarita and Anna, both of Stockton.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in McCune Garden Chapel.

Emil Anthony Otterstedt Jr.

A memorial Mass for Emil Anthony Otterstedt Jr., 75, of Fairfield was held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield.

Disposition was private.

Born Dec. 16, 1924, in San Francisco, Mr. Otterstedt died Feb. 26, 1999, in Fairfield.

He served in the Army during World War II and worked for C.E. Toland Construction as an iron worker for 40 years. He was a member of Iron Workers Local No. 790 and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved outdoor activities like fishing, camping and skin diving.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores of Fairfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Kathleen of Fairfield and Gary and Teri of Moss Beach; and grandchildren, Gary Jr., Sean and Michelle.

Arrangements were by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Benjamin Guerrero Palacio

Mass of Christian Burial for Benjamin Guerrero Palacio, 70, of Vacaville will be 7 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Benedict De Leon of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate. Inurnment will be private in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Palacio died Feb. 27, 1999, in his home after a long illness.

Born Nov. 11, 1928, in Hawaii, he moved to the area nine years ago. He worked as a retired stationary engineer for San Francisco Hilton after 29 1/2 years. He was a member of Koyukan Judo Club Sensei from 1959 to 1985, life member of the United States Judo Federation, past president and vice president of the Northern California Judo Association, Daihagen Judo Association, Local 39 Stationary Engineers, Vacaville Police Athletic League, Makimoto Judo Club 1997 and the Burlingame, Daly City and South San Francisco Recreation departments.

Mr. Palacio is survived by his wife, Yukino of Vacaville; daughters, Sharlyne Palacio-Brass of Suisun, Jeri-Lynn Corbe of Honolulu and Michele Burleson of Tracy; sons, Mitchell of San Francisco, Benjamin Jr. of Redwood City and Russell of San Francisco; sisters, Judy King, Nellie Dela Cruz and Cris Mopas, all of Honolulu; brothers, Chris and Ignacio of Honolulu and Moses of Malibu; grandchildren, Shely Lynn and Kiana Burleson, both of Tracy.

Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Evelyn M. Ross

A celebration of life for Evelyn M. Ross, 75, of Vacaville will be held at 6 p.m. today at the Crossroads Christian Church.

Mrs. Ross died Feb. 26, 1999, in Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento after an illness.

Born July 23, 1923, in Nanticoke, Pa., she lived in Vacaville. She was a volunteer at the Kaiser Clinic in Vacaville.

Mrs. Ross loved crafts and enjoyed teaching and sharing her crafts with many.

Mrs. Ross is survived by her husband, Harry of Vacaville; daughter, Kimberly of Sunnyvale; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ted Clore of Ocala, Fla.; sons and daughter-in-laws, David and Cherylle Martens of Point Pleasant, N.J., Paul and Edith of Columbus, Ohio, and Chris and Joanne of Orlando, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Laura Carbis of Cottonwood Cove, Nev., 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Donations can be made to the Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St., Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements are by The Neptune Society of Northern California Fairfield Office.

James Henry Anderson

There will be no funeral services for James Henry Anderson, 66, of Fairfield. Burial will be in San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine.

Mr. Anderson died Feb. 28, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born Feb. 19, 1933, in Tulsa, Okla., he resided in Fairfield for 19 years. He was a blocker and bracer with the U.S. Navy for 11 years. He served 20 years in the Air Force, serving in Vietnam.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Rosina of Fairfield; sisters, Marietta Wiaters of Palo Alto, Rhonda of Tulsa, and Diana Steele of Compton; and brother, Robert of Los Angeles.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Friday in Fairfield Funeral Home.

Carmen Martha De La O

Mass of Christian Burial for Carmen Martha De La O, 76, of Vacaville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Benedict DeLeon of St. Mary's will officiate. Burial will be in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. De La O died Feb. 28, 1999, at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo.

Born June 22, 1922, in Zacatecas, Mexico, she resided in Vacaville. She worked as a payroll clerk for Southern Pacific Railroad for 18 years. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, 3rd Order of Mount Carmel, Santo Nito de Cebu and Blue Army. She was a generous benefactor of religious causes. She was Dunsmuir High School valedictorian in 1942 and a member of the California Scholastic Federation and the Transportation and Communications Union.

Mrs. De La O enjoyed writing, dancing, reading and especially shopping.

Mrs. De La O is survived by her husband, Frank of Vacaville; daughters, Helen Zuniga of Richmond, Marcia Briggs of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Theresa Bustos of Fairfield; sons, Frank J., John, Tim, James, Amadeo and Tony, all of Vacaville; brothers, Vincent Padilla of Dunsmuir, Pete Padilla of Chula Vista and Beto Padilla of Dunsmuir; sisters, Lucy Moreno of Yreka, Lupe Imhoff of Dunsmuir and Antonia Padilla of Dunsmuir; 27 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan in 1994.

Visitation will be 6:30-9 p.m. with a rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday, in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Contributions can be made to Catholic charities.

Donald L. Thornburg

A private scattering of ashes at sea for Donald L. Thornburg, 81, of Berkeley will be March 27.

Born May 31, 1917, in Parker, Ind., Mr. Thornburg died Feb. 12, 1999, in Berkeley.

After spending several years in the Navy during World War II on the USS  Oklahoma, he took a job with Philadelphia Quartz Co. in Berkeley. He retired in 1973 after a stroke.

He is survived by his sons, Doug of Vacaville, Robert of McCloud and Jeff of Berkeley; daughters, Linda Anderson of Vacaville, Debra Thornburg of Berkeley and Karen Beck of Sumner, Wash.; and grandchildren, Mike and Kelly, both of Vacaville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society of Oakland.

James Wilson Keith III

A celebration of life for James Wilson Keith III, 67, of Vacaville will be from 5 to 7 tonight in Lemon Tree Mobile Home Park Recreation Hall. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Keith died Feb. 26, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

Born Sept. 25, 1931, in Detroit, Mich., he moved to the area 15 years ago. He worked as a collection manager for the Vallejo Times-Herald for 10 years.

Mr. Keith is survived by his wife, Elaine of Vacaville; daughters, Nancy Jensen of Vacaville and Donna of Lavonia, Mich.; sons, Donald R. Crandall of Anchorage, Alaska, and James IV of Lavonia, Mich.; grandchildren, Ryan Jensen of Vacaville and Jason of Lavonia, Mich.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Lois L. Canova

Funeral services for Lois L. Canova, 80, of Suisun will be 2 p.m. today in Fairmont Memorial Park Chapel. Entombment will be in Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mrs. Canova died Feb. 28, 1999, in Laurel Creek Convalescent Hospital after a short illness.

Born April 18, 1918, in Sacramento, she lived in Suisun for 60 years. She grew up in Vallejo and was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Dulcetones and Melody Chorale.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Terry of Fairfield; granddaughter, Amy of Fairfield; brother, John Horgan of Napa; niece, Susan Luckenbach of Fairfield and nephew, Mike Horgan of Oregon.

Memorial contributions can be made to North Bay Hospice, 1200 B. Gale Wilson Blvd., Fairfield, 94533.
