Luisa Delgado

A Mass of Christian Burial for Luisa Delgado, 62, of Dixon will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Dixon. The Rev. Maurice O'Brien of the church will officiate. Disposition will be in Silveyville Cemetery.

Born Nov. 5, 1936, in Mercedes,  Texas, Mrs. Delgado died March 2, 1999, in Dixon.

A resident of Dixon for 37 years, Mrs. Delgado was a homemaker, a loving wife and dedicated mother.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ignacio of Dixon; sons, Ismael of Lodi, Gilbert of Dixon and Ignacio of Vacaville; daughters, Belinda Maguire of Huntington Beach, Delia Maguire of Garden Grove, Sandy Delgado of Dixon; brothers, Santos Agueros of  Texas, Cruz Agueros of Winters; sisters, Caterina Garcia and Dolores Rios, both of  Texas; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Armando.

Arrangements are under the direction of Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Lela Leora Martin

Funeral services for Lela Leora Martin, 74, of Dixon will be 2 p.m. Monday in Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Pastor Steve Rost of Grace Fellowship Church will preside. Interment will be in Silveyville Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin died March 1, 1999, in Sacramento after a long illness.

Born Oct. 14, 1924, in Hamburg, Iowa, she lived in Dixon for 22 years. She worked as a licensed cosmotologist in Solano County. She attended school in Iowa and Solano County.

Mrs. Martin enjoyed amateur radio, sewing, crafts and golf.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, Fred of Dixon; sister, Nellie Josephine Stanton of Colorado; brother, J.E. Gardner of Fairfield; grandchildren, Jaime Philip Vasquez II, Sherry Ann Haight and Tina M. Turner all of Sacramento; and great-grandchildren, April M. and Darrin M. Turner, both of Sacramento and Bailey Elizabeth Ann Vasquez of Vacaville. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Barbara Kay McClannahan and Judith Ann Monteneg.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Luz Torres

A Mass of the Resurrection for Luz Torres, 60, of Dixon will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial will follow at Silveyville Cemetery.

Born March 3, 1938, in Guanajuato, Mexico, she died March 1, 1999, in Dixon.

In the early 1960s, Mrs. Torres and her husband, Salvador, traveled to Dixon, where she dedicated all of her time to the needs of her children and also devoted her life to the Catholic faith. After years as a homemaker, she decided it was time to pursue her dream to learn to read and become a United States citizen. She suffered a life-threatening stroke that paralyzed her left side as her dream was being fulfilled. She regained most of her physical abilities within a year. But several years later, she was informed she had cancer and relied on the support of her entire family during her battle with the disease.

Mrs. Torres is survived by her husband, Salvador; and children, Aurora, Chava, Daniel, Letty, Chela and Tito, all of Dixon.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Carpenter's Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Donald Clarence Collin

There will be a private memorial service for Donald Clarence Collin, 57, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Collin died March 2, 1999, at home after a long illness.

Born Oct. 12, 1941, in Millinocket, Maine, he lived in Fairfield for 39 years. He was self-employed as an author/songwriter. He also served in the U.S. Air Force for a short time. He was a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

Mr. Collin is survived by his wife, Peggy of Fairfield; daughter, Laura of Fairfield; sons, Jeffrey of Fairfield and Scott of Montana; grandchildren, Chelsey, Drew and Darien of Fairfield, Marysue and Brianne of Montana and Courtney Gray of Fairfield; sisters-in-law, Flo Masani and Candy Strassburg, both of Fairfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Theresa Ferrell

A memorial service for Theresa Ferrell, 72, of Vacaville will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Fairfield Presbyterian Church.

Pastor Robert Grace of Fairfield Presbyterian Church will preside. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Ferrell died March 2, 1999, in Mount Diablo Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Born June 13, 1926, in Edgemont, S.D., she lived in Vacaville for more than 41 years. She worked as a stenographer for more than 20 years at the California Medical Facility. She was past senior regent of the Women of the Moose, past member of Val Players, a little theatre group, and a member of Vallejo "Pop" group. She was also a Brownie and Girl Scout leader.

Mrs. Ferrell enjoyed music, especially playing the piano and singing in the Presbyterian Church Choir in Fairfield and Vacaville. She had a cookbook collection and enjoyed arts and crafts.

Mrs. Ferrell is survived by her sons, Joseph of Woodland, Richard of Victorville, Gerald of Angola, Ind., and Robert of Eureka; daughters, Margaret Rinearson of Port Orchard, Wash., and Debra Lear of Santa Rosa; sister, Margaret Cavanagh of Grand Junction,  Colo.; brothers, Paul Herder of Monroe, Iowa, and Gerald Herder of Denver,  Colo.; and 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Bernadean 'Bonnie' Jones

Funeral services for Bernadean "Bonnie" Jones, 87, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Monday in Vaca Hills Chapel. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs.  Jones died March 3, 1999, in Laurel Creek Health Care Center in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born April 1, 1911, in Hutchinson, Kan., she lived in the area for 26 years. She was a homemaker for 67 years.

Mrs.  Jones enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafts.

Mrs.  Jones is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Michael Engermann of Vacaville; brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Ruth Auten of Sacramento. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 1985.

Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Bonnie Bell Lackey

Funeral services for Bonnie Bell Lackey, 75, of Vacaville will be 1:30 p.m. today at McCune Garden Chapel.

Pastor Jonathan Gee of Full Gospel Church of Concord will preside. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Lackey died March 3, 1999, in Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek after a brief illness.

Born March 1, 1924, in  Oklahoma, she lived in Vacaville for 23 years. She was a wife and mother for more than 50 years. She was a member of the Vacaville Garden Club.

Mrs. Lackey enjoyed gardening and sewing Barbie doll clothes, but being a grandmother was her first love.

Mrs. Lackey is survived by her son, Darrell of Clearlake; daughters, Joy Warren and Shirley Simpson, both of Pittsburg; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St., No. 4, Fairfield, 94533.

Yvonne L. Lamoureux

Funeral services for Yvonne L. Lamoureux, 55, of Oceanside will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oceanside Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. William Gold will officiate. Disposition will be at a later date at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

Born April 23, 1943, in Las Vegas, Mrs. Lamoureux died Feb. 28, 1999, in Oceanside.

She was a self-employed day-care provider in Vacaville.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Pierre of Oceanside; mother, Lee Sanders of Oceanside; sons, Pierre of San Diego; daughter, Monique of Oceanside; sister, Joan Swinney of Portland, Ore.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Oceanside.

Alma Blythe Moreno

There will be private family services for Alma Blythe Moreno, 74, of Suisun. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Moreno died March 3, 1999, in Sunrise La Mariposa Care and Rehabilitation after a long illness.

Born Aug. 11, 1924, in Los Angeles County, she lived in Suisun for 15 years. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Moreno is survived by her son, Martin of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Ann of Fairfield; sister, Thelma Saulter of Fairfield; grandchildren, Justin and Ariann of Fairfield, Jason of Dixon and Kimberly of Minnesota.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

David Michael Fuller
Memorial services for David ``Dave" Michael Fuller, 45, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
Stan Sanderson will officiate. Inurnment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park following the services.

Mr. Fuller died March 2, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born Aug. 19, 1953, in Sacramento, he lived in Fairfield for 41 years. He worked as a salesman for Cadenasso Winery in Suisun for 20 years.

He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1971 and received an associate of arts degree from Solano Community College. He was a member of the California Waterfowl Association, Ducks Unlimited, and the Chief Solano Kennel Club.

Mr. Fuller was a great artist, loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved NASCAR events.

Mr. Fuller is survived by his parents, Charles and Adra Jean of Fairfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bradley and Dyana of Fairfield and Charles D. and Kimberly of Mission Viejo; niece, Stacey of Fairfield; and nephews, Ryan of Fairfield, and Travis and Trevor, both of Mission Viejo.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St., No. 4A, Fairfield 94533.

Veessie Felix
A memorial service for Veessie Felix, 72, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Monday at Shiloh Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jonathan Wilson of Shiloh Baptist Church will preside.

Mrs. Felix died March 2, 1999, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born April 28, 1926, in Locus Ridge Plantation, La., she lived in Vacaville for five years. She was a housekeeping supervisor for 24 years at Elizabeth Manor Sanitarium in Los Angeles.

Mrs. Felix loved the blues.

Mrs. Felix is survived by a niece, Rosie L. Brown; and nephews, Marcus and Marvin Brown and Darian Morton, all of Vacaville.

Memorial contributions can be made to North Bay Hospice, 1800  Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield 94533-9980.

Fortunato Guiseppi Chiofalo
There will be no formal services locally for Fortunato Guiseppi Chiofalo, 60, of Fairfield. Interment will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.
Mr. Chiofalo died Feb. 23, 1999, at his home after a long illness.

Born Oct. 20, 1938, in Queens County, N.Y., he lived in Fairfield for 30 years. He was a self-employed artist and jewelry maker.

He served in the Air Force and Army in his younger years. He was a longshoreman in New York. He was a member of the Fairfield Senior Center, and the 101 Air Force Screaming Eagles.

Mr. Chiofalo is survived by his daughters, Tina of Hoopa and Aimee A. Sladek of Suisun City; son, Keith of California; brother, Anthony of New York; half-brother, Billy Neuman of Islip Terrace, N.Y.; sister, Pat Kihn of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; half-sisters, Eileen Neuman of New York and Lee Neuman of East Islip; and four grandchildren.

Bernice Marie Pusateri
Catholic memorial services for Bernice Marie Pusateri, 75, of Fairfield will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.
The Rev. Sebastian Meyer of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church will officiate. Disposition will be private in Rockville Cemetery.

Mrs. Pusateri died March 1, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center after an illness.

Born Feb. 7, 1924, in San Francisco, she lived in Fairfield for 16 years. She was a fruit rancher for 14 years, owning and operating her own ranch with her husband, Vincent. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Pusateri is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Susan of Fairfield; grandchildren, Alanna King of Suisun and Autumn Ward of Eureka; and great-grandchildren, Nickolas and Brianna King of Suisun. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, in 1971 and daughter Kathy in 1993.
