Verna Belle Ameden

Graveside services for Verna Belle Ameden, 85, of Napa will be 10 a.m. Monday at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.
The Rev. Stan Sanderson will officiate. Interment will follow.

Born Aug. 5, 1913, in Lynn Grove, Iowa, Mrs. Ameden died March 4, 1999, in Napa.

She owned and operated Keith's Upholstery in Fairfield with her husband for three years in the 1970s.

She is survived by her daughter, Jo Anne Zimmer of Napa; sisters, Maurine Perkins of Worthington, Minn., and Joy Phillips of Seal Beach; grandsons, Mark and Troy Zimmer, both of Napa; and great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Jackie, all of Napa.

She was preceded in death in 1979 by her husband, Robert Keith.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Annie Blanche Rinaldi

There will be no formal services for Annie Blanche Rinaldi, 82, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.
Born Nov. 22, 1916, in Bejou, Minn., Mrs. Rinaldi died March 5, 1999, in Fairfield.

She was a homemaker for the past 60 years.

Mrs. Rinaldi is survived by her sisters, Evangelina Bakke of Vallejo, Ione Nelson and Virginia Roy, both of Fairfield; and brothers, Joseph Halstensgaard of Fertile, Minn., and Floyd Halstengaard of Wind Lake, Minn.

Memorial contributions can be sent to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1615 Sunset Ave., Fairfield 94533.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mary A. Cavanaugh

A memorial service for Mary A. Cavanaugh, 80, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Camrose Avenue in Fairfield.

John Cavanaugh will officiate. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Cavanaugh died March 6, 1999, at the Napa Nursing Center after a long illness.

Born July 10, 1918, in  Washington, she was a homemaker for 55 years and lived the past four years in Fairfield.

Mrs. Cavanaugh is survived by her daughter, Maureen Barson of Sonoma; sons and daughter-in-law, John and Sandi of Fairfield and Kevin of Carmichael; sisters, Gerrie Conklin of South San Francisco, Margaret Duncan of Carmichael, and Carolyn Barron of Orinda; brother, Dan Dunn of Paradise; sister-in-law, Maureen Dunn of Oroville; grandchildren, Lisa Parker and her husband, Hunter Spencer of Novato; Daniel Parker of Santa Rosa, and Johna Barson of Los Angeles; and a great-grandson, Shane Hunter Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to a local hospice.

Maria Lopez Fernandez

Funeral services for Maria Lopez Fernandez, 84, of Yolo County will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Smith's Colonial Chapel in Winters.

Burial will follow at the Winters Cemetery.

Mrs. Fernandez died March 3, 1999, at Sutter Davis Hospital.

Born Sept. 17, 1914, in Lubrin Almeria, Spain, she was a 78-year resident of Yolo County and sorted tomatoes for 20 years at the Contadina cannery.

Mrs. Fernandez loved to bake and cook for her family and loved caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Nadine of Vacaville and Sam and Gloria of Woodland; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fernandez was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonso Sr.; two sons, John and Alphonso Jr.; two sisters, Isabel Cortez and Yluminda; and one grandchild.

Margaret J. Johnson

Funeral services for Margaret J. Johnson, 95, of Fairfield will be 5 p.m. Thursday at the Fairfield Funeral Home.

Teresa Dunham of the Piedmont Neighborhood Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs.  Johnson died March 7, 1999, in Sunrise La Mariposa after a long illness.

Born Dec. 5, 1903, in Paisley, Scotland, Mrs. Johnson, a homemaker who lived in Fairfield for 14 years, was a member of the Piedmont Neighborhood Church and attended New Life Church in Fairfield.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nellie  Johnson of Redding; son-in-law, Bruce Sheldon of Fairfield; cousin, Janet Hoey of Indiana; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday at the Fairfield Funeral Home.

Robert Romero Kilgoar

Catholic Prayer Service for Robert Romero Kilgoar, 52, of Vacaville will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Vaca Hills Chapel.

The Rev. Benedict DeLeon of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery.

Mr. Kilgoar died March 7, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

Born Jan. 18, 1947, in the Philippines, he moved to the area one year ago. He was an insurance agent for the N.C.O.A.

Mr. Kilgoar enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Kilgoar is survived by his wife, Gilda of Vacaville; daughters, Rowena Chin of Las Vegas, Suzette of Honolulu, Hawaii, Rita of Las Vegas, and Rana of Buena Park; son, Robert of Appleton, Minn.; sisters, Helen Smith of San Diego, Susan Montoya of Lakewood and Janet Hampton of Tennessee; brothers, Christopher  Johnson of San Diego and William  Johnson of Anaheim Hills; grandchildren, Rian Chin, Tristan Chin, Alexandria Kim, Sydney Delrosario, Riley Chin, and Camryn Delrosario.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Yvonne L. Lamoureux

Funeral services for Yvonne L. Lamoureux, 55, of Oceanside were held Saturday at Oceanside Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. William Gold officiated. Disposition will be at a later date at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

Mrs. Lamoureux died Feb. 28, 1999, in Oceanside of natural causes.

Born April 23, 1943, in Las Vegas, she lived most of her life in Vacaville before moving to Oceanside.

She was a self-employed day-care provider in Vacaville.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Pierre of Oceanside; mother, Lee Sanders of Oceanside; son, Gary of San Diego; daughter, Monique of Oceanside; and a sister, Joan Swinney of Portland, Ore.

Mildred M. LaVoie

Funeral services for Mildred M. LaVoie, 85, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

The Revs. Steve and Danny Nalley will officiate. A private burial will be in Rockville Cemetery.

Mr. LaVoie died March 6, 1999, in Fairfield after a short illness.

Born Nov. 9, 1913, in Lubbock,  Texas, she lived in Fairfield for 60 years. She was a self-employed owner-operator caregiver for handicapped people for 35 years. She was a member of USARC/Pace of Solano County (Upper Solano Association for Retarded Citizens), Church of God and Parkway Plaza Ministry.

Mrs. LaVoie enjoyed sewing, handiwork, arts and crafts.

Mrs. LaVoie is survived by her daughters, Wanda Dyer of Rocklin and Luli Rogers of Suisun City; sons and daughter-in-law, Dick Thiessen of Reno, and Bruce and Violet of Suisun City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Fay and Carl Perruchon of Vallejo, Marge Randall of Woodland and Elsie and Tony Puerto of Rockville; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Betty Groves of Napa and John and Betty Groves of Orange; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-9 today in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to Kaiser Hospice Program, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, 94590.

Adeline I. Lum

Memorial services will be held for Adeline I. Lum, 91, of Vacaville at 1 p.m. Saturday in the family home.

Mrs. Lum died March 8, 1999, in Vallejo.

Born Oct. 10, 1907, she is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Lum and Shirley of Honolulu, Herbert and Marlene Lum of Los Angeles, James and Suzanne Lum of Los Angeles, Julius and Mildred Lum of Fremont, and Harry and Judy Lum of Concord; daughters, Margaret Choy and her husband William of Vacaville, Bertha Leong of San Francisco, and Anelle Yee of San Francisco; brothers, David Ing of San Francisco and Philip Ing of Honolulu; sister, Rose Lam of Seattle; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lum, in 1982.

Inurnment services will be held in Honolulu.

Eldon Mincey

Memorial services for Eldon L. Mincey, 61, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God Church.

Pastor Robert Clay will officiate. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mr. Mincey died March 5, 1999, in David Grant Medical Center after a short illness.

Born June 23, 1937, in Kingsburg, he lived in Fairfield for 25 years. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years and was a veteran of Vietnam. He was a food supervisor for Solano County Juvenile Hall for 15 years.

Mr. Mincey is survived by his wife, Toshiko of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Neeves of Seattle, Wash.; and two brothers, Don of Los Angeles and John of San Carlos.

Arrangements are by Fairfield Funeral Home.

James Gary Aaron

Memorial services for James Gary Aaron, 51, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Vacaville.

The Rev. Dr. Leroy Gainey of First Baptist Church of Vacaville will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Aaron died March 8, 1999, in Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Vallejo after a short illness.

Born Sept. 7, 1947, in Lyons, Ga., he lived in Vacaville for 32 years. He graduated from Aiken High School in Aiken, S.C., served in the United States Air Force for four years, and worked in civil service as an aircraft technician at Travis Air Force Base for 30 years. He was a member of the Air Force Reserve Squadron 349 EMS. He retired from the Air Force Reserve in December 1998.

Mr. Aaron was a wonderful family man who enjoyed being with his wife, boys and grandsons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and snow skiing. He managed Little League baseball for the Vacaville National Little League. He enjoyed the Sonora Pass cabin.

Mr. Aaron is survived by his wife, Sharon of Vacaville; son, Scott of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, James and Christina of Vacaville; mother and stepfather, Buena and Herbert Snellings of Aiken; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Devon and Peggy of Fayetteville, S.C., Steve and Judy of Greenville, S.C., and brother William Ransome Snelling of Graniteville, S.C.; brothers and sisters-in-laws, John and Annette Eugenis of Fairfield; Bob and Linda Moy of Fairfield and Jan Baughman of Woodriver, Ill.; mother-in-law, Angeline Eugenis of Fairfield; grandsons, James and Austin of Vacaville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Devon in 1954.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St., Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Christa H. Evans

Memorial services for Christa H. Evans, 63, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the family home.

The family will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Evans died March 6, 1999, in her home after a long illness.

Born Dec. 25, 1935, in Germany, she lived in Fairfield for 35 years. She trained for nursing before coming to California. She worked at several convalescent care centers and worked at Intercommunity Hospital as an aide and unit clerk. After retiring she worked for Walgreen's as a clerk.

Mrs. Evans enjoyed reading, gardening, and caring for her cats. She was an accomplished cross-country skier and loved nature.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband of 42 years, Arthur of Fairfield; mother, Herta Jahn of Germany; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Evans and Rich Bazewicz of Rio Vista; son, Daniel of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Charles and Jackie of Suisun Valley; grandsons, Colton and Colin of Rio Vista and Jeremy of Nevada; and mother-in-law, Grace L. of New Mexico.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
