Ina Marie Kelly

Funeral services for Ina Marie Kelly, 76, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly of St. Joseph's Catholic Church will preside. Burial will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Kelly died March 24, 1999, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born Oct. 25, 1922, in Kemmerer, Wyo., she lived in Dixon for 16 years. She had been a homemaker for 55 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge No. 1967 in Vacaville.

Mrs. Kelly enjoyed being with her family, gardening and really enjoyed her roses.

Mrs. Kelly is survived by her sons, Raymond Allan of Dixon, Kenneth Franklin of El Cajon, and Timothy Lee of Dixon; daughter, Virginia Kelly Robin of Covina; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 6 p.m. in McCune Garden Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Notre Dame School, 1781 Marshall Road, Vacaville 95687.

John Albert McCappin

No services will be held for John Albert McCappin, 86, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. McCappin died March 23, 1999, in his home after a long illness.

Born Jan. 5, 1913, in Santa Rosa, he lived in Fairfield for five years. He worked as a welder and ironworker for more than 50 years, retiring in 1978. He has been a resident of Solano County for the past 50 years, of which 25 years were in Vacaville prior to Fairfield. He was a member of the International Association of Bridge Structural and Ornamental Ironworkers for more than 50 years.

Mr. McCappin enjoyed astrology and reading.

Mr. McCappin is survived by his close friends, Joe and Nini Hernandez and family of Fairfield; and grandson, Richard Moore of San Bernardino.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

William Dwayne Rhoades

A memorial service for William Dwayne Rhoades, 34, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Rhoades died March 22, 1999, at home after an illness.

Born Aug. 31, 1964, in San Jose, he lived in Fairfield for five years. He was self-employed as a roofing contractor for 15 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Church in Fairfield.

Mr. Rhoades enjoyed music and playing piano, cooking, fine dining, romantic getaways with his wife and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Rhoades is survived by his wife, Sherrie Rene Palmer-Rhoades of Fairfield; parents, Gary and Susan of Napa; sister, Julie Godwin of Napa; brother and sister-in-law, John and June of Napa; sister-in-law, Lisa McKinnon of Vacaville; brother-in-law, Jim Pitcher of Fairfield; five nieces; one great-nephew; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Arrangements are by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Ruby Jane Whittemore

Funeral services for Ruby Jane Whittemore, 72, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Monday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Chaplain Keith Knauf will preside. Interment will be private.

Mrs. Whittemore died March 22, 1999, in her home after a sudden illness.

Born Jan. 3, 1927, in Niangua, Mo., she lived in Vacaville for seven years. She worked for more than 20 years in retail sales as a clerk. She belonged to the Fleet Reserve Association and the Officers Wives Club at Travis Air Force Base.

Mrs. Whittemore enjoyed sewing, baking, arts and crafts.

Mrs. Whittemore is survived by her sisters, Effie Stevens of Kansas, Marjorie Ariza of Vacaville, Bonnie McFadin of Mountain Grove, Mo., and Norma Looney of Decatur, Ala.; brother, Howard Henderson of Phillipsburg, Mo.; 30 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday in McCune Garden Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of the donor's choice.

Gladys Elizabeth Winkler

There will be no services for Gladys Elizabeth Winkler, 100, of Vacaville at her request. Inurnment will be in Inglewood Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Winkler died March 24, 1999, in Vacaville after a short illness.

Born Nov. 15, 1898, in Rochester, N.Y., she moved to the area 10 years ago. She was a homemaker and retired telephone operator. She was a member of Forresters, Methodist Church Gardinia, and active with seniors in Gardinia.

Mrs. Winkler is survived by her daughter, Noreen D. Mitchell of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Gilbert and Mary Lewis Winkler of Colorado; grandchildren, Scott, Kent, Franci, Eddie and Chris; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel.

Letty Jo Stinson

A memorial service for Letty Jo Stinson, 50, of Vacaville will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Christian Church of Vacaville.

Pastor Su Schlagel will preside. Inurnment will be private at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Stinson died March 25, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a sudden illness.

Born Nov. 24, 1948, in Wichita Falls,  Texas, she lived in the area for 23 years. She worked as an accounts payable clerk for Kaufman & Broad and was a member of the Women of the Moose, Vacaville Lodge 1967

Mrs. Stinson enjoyed bowling and was the secretary/treasurer of her bowling league. She also enjoyed craft fairs, gardening and traveling, especially to Reno.

Mrs. Stinson is survived by her husband, Ron D. of Vacaville; daughter, Lori Lyn Harris of Vacaville; father, William C. Bryan of Vacaville; brother, Wesley William Bryan of Bakersfield; sister, Geri Lynn Haan of Vacaville; and five nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a charity of choice.

Arrangements are by McCune Garden Chapel.

Carmen Maria Rosa- White

Funeral services for Carmen Maria Rosa- White, 44, of Vacaville will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church.

Dr. Leroy Gainey of First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Rosa- White died March 24, 1999, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born Oct. 3, 1954, in Puerto Rico, she lived in the area for 21 years. She was a self-employed chiropractor for three years. She was a member of the Chiropractic Alumni Association, active in the Puerto Rican Club of Solano County, All Seasons Ski Club of Oakland and member of the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce.

She lived in Vacaville with her family since 1988 and was a devoted wife and mother. A graduate of Fairfield High School, she received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice from California State University, San Jose. She was then hired as an investigator for the San Jose District Attorney's Office.

Mrs. Rosa- White was then employed as an insurance agent for Allstate and was a member of the Million Dollar Club.

Having a great thirst for education, she became a doctor of chiropractic medicine. She started her own Chiropractic Care Practice in Vacaville in 1988 and opened the Monte Vista Chiropractic Care in 1990.

She enjoyed sewing, hand-crafting, reading and trips to Lake Tahoe. She was a devoted member of Vacaville's First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Rosa- White is survived by her husband, Malcolm of Vacaville; daughters, Katina and Natalie of Vacaville; father, Raul L. Rosa of Fairfield; sisters, Anna Stewart of Puerto Rico, Mildred Torres of Fairfield and Leticia Rosa of Fairfield; brother, Jose Rosa of Vacaville; sister-in-law, Catherine J. Rosa; brothers-in-law, Miguel Stuart and William  White Jr.; father-in-law, William  White Sr.; nephews, Eric Vega, Luis Torres, David  White and Craig  White; and nieces, Tania DeValle, Luana Munoz, Fallon Rosa and Aearey Rosa.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Harry Lewis Hancox, Jr.

Graveside services with full military honors for Harry Lewis Hancox Jr., 60, of Fairfield, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rockville Cemetery.

Stan Sanderson will officiate. Burial will be in Rockville Cemetery.

Mr. Hancox died March 24, 1999, at his home after a long illness.

Born Sept. 15, 1938, in Titusville, Pa., he lived in Fairfield for 18 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1977. He retired in 1977 as a chief petty officer. After his retirement, he worked as a diesel mechanic until 1987.

Mr. Hancox is survived by his wife, Tomi of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Miyuki and Tim Murphy of Dixon; daughters, Karen of Fairfield and Cindy of Berkeley; son, Jimmy of Guam; father, Harry L. Sr. of Centerville, Pa.; sisters, Dorothy Steadman of Townville, Pa., Pat Graham of Albion, Pa., Cindy Fry of Centerville, Pa., and Suzy Green of Franklin, Pa.; brother, Jerry of Greenville, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Robert A. Lee

Funeral services for Robert A. Lee, 42, of Vacaville will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at VacaValley Christian Life Center, 6392 Leisure Town Road.

The Rev. Ben Randall, chaplain at the Vacaville Police Department, will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Born Nov. 28, 1956, in San Francisco, Mr. Lee died March 24, 1999, at VacaValley Hospital.

Mr. Lee served in the Vacaville Police Department for 20 years and was a sergeant at the time of his death. Mr. Lee graduated in 1974 from College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, and was a member of the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps.

Mr. Lee was a bicycle cadet with the Pleasant Hill Police Department and for a time attended Diablo Valley College in Concord.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Theresa of Vacaville; mother, Rose Yen of Richmond; and sister, Kathy March of Pleasant Hill.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Bob Lee Memorial Fund, C.M.T. Credit Union, Account No. 3866, P.O. Box 5040, Fairfield, 94533; or the American Cancer Society, c/o Ruth Bradanini, 290 Fruitvale Ave., Vacaville, 95688.

Simon 'Doc' Evans

Funeral services for Simon "Doc" Evans, 82, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. today at Trinity Baptist Church.

Mr. Evans died March 23, 1999. Burial will be at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette immediately following the services.

Born May 8, 1916, in Emmet, Ark., he lived in Vacaville for 27 years and loved the city dearly. He worked as a longshoreman crane driver for 32 years and was a member of ILWU Local No. 10. He loved fishing and gardening.

Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Mae Evans, to whom he was married 32 years. He is survived by his brother, Albert of Arkansas; sister, Bessie Goza of Arkansas; son, Johnny Mack Evans of Oakland; daughters, Bertha Sue Reed of San Leandro and Mary Evelyn Baker of Vacaville; stepson, Alexander Hubbard Jr.; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Robert Eugene Damiano

Graveside services for Robert Eugene Damiano, 73, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

The Rev. Maurice O'Brien of St. Peter's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be at the Silveyville Cemetery.

Mr. Damiano died March 27, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 21, 1925, in Vacaville, he lived in the city his entire life. He worked for 40 years as a meat cutter for Safeway. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Meat Cutters Union. In his free time, Mr. Damiano loved to fish.

Mr. Damiano is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Helen Damiano of Vacaville; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 290 Fruitvale Ave., Vacaville, 95688.
