Francisca B. Wold

Funeral services for Francisca Banuilos Wold, 67, of Fairfield will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic church in Fairfield.

The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officiate.

Burial will be Monday in Mililani Memorial Park, Waipahu, Hawaii.

Born May 11, 1931, in Waipahu, she died April 5, 1999, in Fairfield after a long illness. She had lived in Fairfield 22 years and served as a Solano County probation clerk for 12 years.

Mrs. Wold is survived by daughters, Francine Caires of Vacaville and Anna Oulashin of Beaverton, Ore.; sons, Phil Paragoso of Pearl City, Hawaii, and Anthony of Suisun City; sisters, Carol Garcia and Lina Vaughn, both of Fairfield; brothers, Michael Banuilos of Sacramento, Joaquin Banuilos of Pearl City and Bonifacio Banuilos of Waiphau; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

James E. Canerday

Funeral services for James E. Canerday, 60, of Vacaville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Pastor Lestor Seto of Bethany Lutheran Church will preside. Interment will be in Silveyville Cemetery.

Mr. Canerday died April 4, 1999, in his home after a lengthy illness.

Born June 28, 1938, in Russelville, Ark., he lived in Vacaville and Solano County for 35 years. He worked as a meat cutter for Albertson's Markets for 23 years. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, the Grange and the Butcher's Union for more than 40 years.

Mr. Canerday loved fishing and breeding Labrador retrievers. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Canerday is survived by his wife, Rosie of Vacaville; daughters, Lynn of Santa Rosa and Carol Ann Noel of Oregon; sons, Mark of Vacaville, Ronald Fuson of Oregon, Paul Stroud of Woodland and Tom of Grass Valley; mother, Elizabeth Landers of Russelville, Ark., and 16 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Cancer Society, 290 Fruitvale Ave., Vacaville 95688.

Bill Mopas Domingo

A funeral for Bill Mopas Domingo, 91, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Friday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

F&AM Sublime Benicia Lodge No. 5 will officiate.

Entombment will be in Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Born Dec. 17, 1907, in Tayug, Pangasinan, Philippines, he died March 31, 1999, in Sunrise La Mariposa Convalescent Center in Fairfield after a long illness. He lived in Fairfield 29 years.

Mr. Domingo was a resort cook and chef for 30 years in California, Nevada and Colorado.

Mr. Domingo had worked 10 seasons at the State Fair Cal Expo in Sacramento and was employed with the Fairfield-Vallejo Human Development Corp. from 1974 to 1980, providing meals to low-income families.

He was a member of the F&AM Sublime Benicia Lodge No. 5; a member of the Oakland Scottish Rite, the Ben Ali Shrine Club of Sacramento and the Montezuma Shrine Club of Vacaville.

He also was a member and mast master of Legionairio De Trabajo in America, Inc., Vallejo Lodge No. 620.

Mr. Domingo is survived by sons, Bill and Danny, both of Seattle.

He was preceded in death by longtime companion, Ines R. Daguimel in 1998.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Francis Jacob LaViolette

A Catholic Prayer Service for Francis Jacob LaViolette, 61, of Vacaville will be 10:30 a.m. today in Vaca Hills Chapel.

The Rev. Vincent O'Reilly of St. Joseph's Catholic Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born July 14, 1937, in Belcort, N.D., he died April 3, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

He lived in Vacaville 15 years. He was a warehouseman for Lucky Stores for 26 years and had been a member of the Teamsters Union and Vacaville Moose Lodge 1967.

Mr. LaViolette is survived by his wife, Anita; he was preceded in death by his mother Amelia LaViolette; son, Michael of Paradise; daughters, Lauri of Austin,  Texas, and Mary  Jones of Mexico; sisters, Delores Thiege of Harvey, N.D., Camilla Guntzman of Bethal Island, Eva Cadell of Manteca, Linda Woodside of Dublin, Martina Melton of Alameda, JoAnn Soares of San Leandro and Verna Owens of Alameda; grandchildren, Kourtni and Kassi of Vacaville, Lauren and Max  Jones of Mexico.

A memorial contribution may be made to a favorite charity.

Raymunda McGuinness

A Mass for Raymunda Caguiat McGuinness, 75, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Leo Tubbs will preside. The Rite of Committal will take place in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. McGuinness died April 6, 1999, in David Grant Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 9, 1924, in Arayat, Philippines. She was a chief inspector in the food processing industry for 14 years. She also lived at Clark Air Force Base, Philippines.

Mrs. McGuinness is survived by sons, John of Chantilly, Va., William McGuinness of Cleveland, Ohio, James of Lancaster, Bernard of Milpitas, Thomas of Sacramento and Richard of Vacaville; daughters, Mary Gove of San Jose, Jane Jayme of Suisun and Terry Godinez of Vacaville; sister, Rosie Garcia of Philippines; nephew, Robert Caguiat of Vacaville; and 22 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph McGuinness.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. in Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Ruel Dean Saucerman

No services are planned for Ruel Dean Saucerman, 75, of Dixon. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Saucerman died April 2, 1999, in Suisun after a sudden illness.

Born June 10, 1923, in Sullivan, Ind., he lived in Dixon and Solano County for more than 35 years. He worked 25 years with the California Fish and Game Department and 26 years as the manager of the Suisun Marsh Hunting Preserve. He was active for many years with the Dixon Little League and also served as president of the organization.

Mr. Saucerman enjoyed training dogs for security and hunting.

Mr. Saucerman is survived by his wife, Margaret of Dixon; sons and daughters-in-law, L.C. and Susan Perkey of Winters and David and Francine of Dixon; brothers, Wayne, Leavis, Jerry and Robert, all of Indiana; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Dixon Little League.

Arrangements are by Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Valerie Marie Schrader

There will be no services held for Valerie Marie Schrader, 77, of Vacaville. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Schrader died April 6, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a brief illness.

Born May 5, 1921, in Grand Rapids, Mich., she lived in Vacaville for a brief period during her illness. She moved from Forsyth in Tanney County, Mo. She was a homemaker and assisted at a local library in Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri and attended the Presbyterian church while living in Missouri.

Mrs. Schrader is survived by her sons, Thomas of Fairfax, Va., James of Visalia, Mark of Lusby, Md., Glenn of Vacaville and Sam of Fallon, Nev.; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Phillip Clifford Schrader.

Arrangements are by Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Leland Leon Stalcup

Funeral services for Leland Leon Stalcup, 70, of Vacaville will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Vaca Valley Christian Life Center. Pastor Bob Brigham will officiate. Burial will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born June 1, 1928, in  Oklahoma, Mr. Stalcup died April 5, 1999, in Vacaville.

He was a supervisor in the maintenance department of the University of California, Berkeley laboratory for 25 years, and was a member of the Vaca Valley Christian Life Center, Masons, Crockett Bass Club and the San Pablo Rod & Gun Club.

Mr. Stalcup is survived by his wife, Lillian of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Lorna of Vacaville; daughters, Karen Stalcup and Debra Strickland both of Vacaville; grandsons, Matthew and Kevin Stalcup both of Vacaville; and numerous "adopted" grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to Kaiser Vallejo Hospice, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo 94589.

Arrangements are under the direction of Vaca Hills Chapel.

Walter C. Young

Friends are invited to a family gathering at Rockville Cemetery for Walter C. Young, 72, of Fairfield at 3 p.m. today. Inurnment will be in Rockville Cemetery.

Mr. Young died March 27, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center after a long illness.

Born March 31, 1926, in Indianapolis, Ind., he lived in Fairfield for 37 years. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a survivor of Iwo Jima. His ship's flag from LST 779 was flown over Mount Suribachi. He retired from the Air Force in 1971 as an E7 at Travis Air Force Base. He was a past commander VFW 2333, District 16, Fairfield-Suisun. He was an 18-year member of VFW and member of the Moose Lodge 861, Fairfield and the Campers Club.

Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edna Fae of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Kaylin Young of Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the donor's choice of charity.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Thyra A. Young

A memorial service for Thyra A. Young, 96, of Sacramento will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon.

The Rev. Mike Carroll of St. Phiolmene Catholic Church will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Young died April 1, 1999, in her home after a brief illness.

Born March 1, 1903, in Big Oak Flat, she moved to Sacramento after living 51 years in Dixon. She was a homemaker, wife and mother for 75 years.

Mrs. Young enjoyed her family and loved to garden.

Mrs. Young is survived by her sister, Florence McQueen of Nipoma; niece, Winnie Ladyman of Sacramento; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester (Ted) Young and a son, Gene.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society of Mercy Hospice of Sacramento.

Robert L. Blaine

No formal services will be held for Robert L. Blaine, 76, of Vacaville.

Burial will be private.

Born Aug. 12, 1922, in Salt Lake City, he died April 5, 1999, in Westwind Gardens Care Facility after a long illness.

He lived in Vacaville two years and had been a trucker for 46 years, including being employed several years for F.J. Burns. He was a member of Teamster's Union Local No. 85 in San Francisco.

Mr. Blaine is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Bob of Vacaville; daughter, Julie Ann Biggi of Roseville; brother, Ralph of  Washington state; sister, Betty Puertas of Pleasanton and two granddaughters.

A memorial contribution may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4000 El Camino Ave., Sacramento, or the Juvenile Diabetic Association, 425 University Ave., Suite 106, Sacramento 95825.

Darrell J. Deters

Memorial services were held in New York for Darrell J. Deters, 59, of Vacaville. Ashes will be scattered at sea.

Mr. Deters died April 4, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born March 23, 1940, in Kansas, he lived in Vacaville for 15 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as an airline mechanic for Federal Express for 35 years.

Mr. Deters is survived by his special friend, Donna Elliott of Vacaville; daughters, Susan of Rensselaerville, N.Y., Jessica Lewis of Troy, N.Y., Kimberly of Brunswick, N.Y., Wendy of Ballston Spa, N.Y., and Amy Rasmussen of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; sons, Keith of Niskayuna, N.Y., Kevin Sarkey of Schenectady, N.Y., and Timothy of Ballston Spa. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery; sister, Virginia; and brother, John.

Arrangements were by Fairfield Funeral Home.
