Jane A. Wright

Memorial services for Jane A. Wright, 55, of Vacaville will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Vacaville, 1127 Davis St.

The Rev. Leroy Gainey will officiate.

Mrs. Wright died at home on April 8, 1999, after a long illness.

Born April 18, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minn., she worked as the director of Gilead House in Oakland, was a member of Vacaville's First Baptist Church and an alumna member of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. She also enjoyed gourmet cooking and needlepoint.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband, Roger, stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Jim  Jones of Springfield, Ill., Cynthia and Vinnie Vance of San Mateo, Angela and Steve Gordon of Redwood City; son, David of Vacaville; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Juliana Wright of Vacaville; stepson, Roger T. Wright Jr. of Carlyle, Ill.; parents, Dr. LuVerne and Ardelle Clark of Walnut Creek; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. Gregory and Joan Clark of San Ramon, Dr. Richard and Barbara Clark of Sioux City, Iowa; and four grandchildren.

Donations can be made to the Christian Children's Fund.

Angela Luna

A Catholic Prayer Service for Angela Luna, 83, of Yuba City will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

The Rev. Maurice O'Brien of St. Peter's Catholic Church will preside. Burial to follow at Silveyville Cemetery.

Mrs. Luna died April 12, 1999, in Davis after a long illness.

Born Aug. 2, 1915, in Juarez, Mexico, she lived in Yuba City for 25 years. She was a homemaker for the past 65 years.

Mrs. Luna was an avid 49ers fan, enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved flowers and cooking.

Mrs. Luna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Robert Atwood of Dixon; daughter, Gloria Winsboro of Fresno; son, Joseph of  Washington; brother, Manuel Costillo of Superior, Ariz.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association, Redwood Empire Chapter, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa, 95402.

Eldean Jovero

A memorial service for Eldean Jovero, 58, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Friday at Harvest Worship Center.

Pastor Scott Brooks of Harvest Worship Center will preside. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Jovero died April 13, 1999, in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born May 9, 1940, in Fairfield, she resided in Vacaville. She worked at the Coffee Tree for 14 years and Lyon's Restaurant for three years. She was a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress, Moose Club and Wildcat Boosters Club.

Mrs. Jovero loved gardening, reading, sewing, bowling, going to Reno to visit her friends and family and baking with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Jovero is survived by her husband, Thomas H. Jovero; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Michael Robertson of  Washington, Virginia and Jeffrey Dutra of Napa, Cheryel Ann and Bill Samao of Modesto; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas C. and Windy of San Francisco, William Thomas and Sandra Hall of Vacaville; son, Thomas L. of Vacaville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Manuel Pulido of Vacaville, Letha and John Suitt of San Mateo; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her son, William Thomas Hall and her first husband, Howard Eugene Hall.

Memorial contributions can be made to American Heart Association, Redwood Empire Chapter, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa, 95402.

Martin John Glashoff

Martin John Glashoff, a native of Suisun Valley who operated Glashoff's fruit stand on Rockville Road until the early 1980s and was on the Solano Irrigation District board of directors for 24 years, died April 13, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center. He was 80.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairfield.

The Rev. Martin Bergstrom will officiate. Burial will be at Rockville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Born the fifth of six children on Aug. 31, 1918, to Margaret and Hermann Glashoff, Mr. Glashoff attended Suisun Valley Elementary School and Armijo High School, where he was in the school band and on the track team.

He later graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and the university band.

In 1947, he married Elsada Chadbourne, with whom he shared a passion for farming and love of the Suisun Valley. Mr. Glashoff served as a trustee for Suisun Valley Elementary School in the 1950s and '60s.

Elected by landowners within the district, he served six consecutive four-year terms on the Solano Irrigation District board. One of his most notable projects was helping to draft the city of Fairfield/SID agreement that addresses water needs for Fairfield and farming protections in the Suisun Valley.

Mr. Glashoff also served as a board member of Suisun Valley Fruit Growers Association for many years. He also served on the Farm Bureau Board and was president from 1969 to 1971. He was awarded the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Solano County Farm Bureau in 1989.

He was a vocal proponent for the preservation of farming heritage of Suisun Valley. Throughout his childhood and young adulthood he was active in Suisun Valley 4-H club, first as a member and later as a project leader for many years. He farmed land in the Suisun Valley with his brother, Bernold until Bernold Glashoff's retirement in the late 1970s.

Mr. Glashoff passed the farming operation to his son, Larry, in 1984, but continued to remain active in the retail portion of the business until 1993, when he turned his attention to the management of a bakery with his daughter, Nancy.

After Elsada Glashoff died in 1992, Mr. Glashoff married Lori Border in 1993 and worked with her for six years in the bakery until his death.

Mr. Glashoff is survived by his wife, Lori; son, Phillip of Suisun Valley; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Maria of Suisun Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jerry Tiedeman of Suisun Valley; sisters, Emma of Suisun Valley, Elaine Bacon of San Jose and Dee Kudsk of Fairfield; brothers-in-law, Harry Chadbourne of Gordon Valley, Don Reguera of Sacramento, and Al Reguera of Carson City, Nev.; grandchildren, Benjamin Murphy of Fairfield, Katie Murphy of  Washington, Chad, Jacob, Elizabeth and Lucas Martin Glashoff all of Suisun Valley, Jenna Modar of Oregon; great-grandson, Michael Murphy of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine; wife, Elsada; brothers, Bernold and John; and sisters, Alice and Margaret.

Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 2075 Dover Ave., Fairfield, 94533.

Warner Lucas Healy

There will be no services for Warner Lucas Healy, 72, of Vacaville. Cremation has already taken place.

Mr. Healy died April 5, 1999, in Vallejo of complications from pneumonia.

Born Dec. 12, 1926, in Richmond, he resided in Leisure Town since 1986. He worked for Standard Oil and Chevron Research, retiring in September 1986. He was a greeter at Wal-Mart in Vacaville for two years, which he enjoyed very much. He married Lotella Wilson on Aug. 17, 1957, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in San Pablo.

Mr. Healy is survived by his wife, Lotella of Vacaville; sister, Barbara Copeland of Florence, Ore.; brothers, Marshall James, Daniel Vance, both of Concord, Glenn of Fremont and Gary of Camptonville; stepsons, Earl Koenig of Redding, and William Koenig of Concord; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah (Betty) Healy and a brother, Wade.

Donations can be made to the charity of donor's choice.

Nellie Elizabeth McBride

Nellie Elizabeth McBride, 79, died April 5, 1999, in her home in Scottsdale, Ariz., from natural causes. She was cremated.

Born March 11, 1920, she spent more than 50 years living in the Vacaville and Dixon area. She was involved with the Ladies of the Moose Lodge, where she organized many events and dinners. She loved fishing, reading, cooking, giving parties, traveling and most of all being a homemaker to her family.

Mrs. McBride is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Bill; daughters, Linda Weaver Davidson, Sally Mindt, Mandy Gummert, and Candy Kennelly; sister Dorothy Adams; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Faye Morgan

Funeral services for Evelyn Faye Morgan, 73, of Fairfield will be 4 p.m. Sunday at True Love Baptist Church in Fairfield.

The Rev. James A. Ray will officiate. Interment will be 11 a.m. Monday at Olivet Memorial Park in Colma.

Born Oct. 1, 1925, in Fodice,  Texas, Mrs. Morgan died April 14, 1999, in Fairfield.

Mrs. Morgan worked as a nurse at the University of California, San Francisco, and later as a nurse for Sunrise Health Care Center. She retired from nursing after 20 years. She was a member of True Love Baptist Church and a member of the Foster Parent Organization.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, Charles of Fairfield; daughters, Jacqueline of Fairfield and Dianne  Jackson of Suisun City; sons, Glenn of Union City and Michael of Fairfield; brothers, Charles Wiley and Calvin Wiley, both of San Francisco, and Tom Wiley of San Leandro; sisters, Espanola Sanders of Folsom and Mercedes Pinkard of San Bruno; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Robert J. Deschler

Memorial services for Robert J. Deschler, 71, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parkway Community Church. Pastor John Hanson will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Born Dec. 4, 1927, in Marysville, Mr. Deschler died April 15, 1999, in Fairfield.

A resident of Benicia for 13 years prior to moving to Fairfield seven years ago, Mr. Deschler served in the Army and was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a Teamster for 40 years.

He worked for RCA Corp. in San Francisco for 10 years until 1970. He worked for Hadley Transport Co. in Benicia for 20 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union, Vallejo, Local No. 490, and was a member of the Fairfield Senior Center.

Mr. Deschler is survived by his wife, Juanita of Fairfield; daughters, Dianne Santini of Pacifica and Julie Stuart of San Ramon; sons, Robert of Windsor, Richard of Belmont, Paul of Sonora and Jeff of Pacifica; stepsons, Greg Fugate of Phoenix and Michael Fugate of Petaluma; sister, Lucille Sanchez of San Mateo; brother, Don of South San Francisco; and 19 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St. No. 4, Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Angela R. Roye

Funeral services for Angela R. Roye of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. April 25 at Lyn's Funeral Home in Jamaica. Disposition will be at Wait-A-Bit Cemetery, Wait-a-Bit, Trelawney, Jamaica.

Mrs. Roye died April 14, 1999, in Fairfield. She was born in Wait-a-Bit.

A resident of Vacaville for 17 years, she worked as a nurse's aide for 16 years. She worked at Sunrise La Mariposa Convalescent Hospital for 14 years until August.

Mrs. Roye is survived by her husband, Fitzgerald of Vacaville, and daughter, Livie Warren of Wait-a-Bit.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Rebecca Jean Sanchez

There will be no services for Rebecca Jean Sanchez, 41, of Vallejo. Disposition will be private.

Mrs. Sanchez died April 13, 1999, in Vallejo after a sudden illness.

Born Jan. 20, 1958, in Vallejo, she lived there all her life. She was a homemaker for 14 years and a caring mother who loved animals, arts and crafts.

Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her husband, James of Vallejo; daughters, Shannan Shaw of Vacaville, Tammy Bonebright of Rialto and Casandra of Vallejo; father and stepmother, Al and Evelyn Variz of Oakland; mother and stepfather, Janet and Bob Garrett of Alaska; sisters, Rendy Variz of  Washington and Kris  Johnson of Alaska; brother, Bobby Garrett of Alaska; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Jennie Scandurra

A Catholic Prayer Service for Jennie Scandurra, 78, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Monday at McCune Garden Chapel.

The Rev. Benedict DeLeon of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born May 12, 1920, in Messina, Sicily, Ms. Scandurra died April 15, 1999, in Vacaville.

A homemaker, she lived in Solano County for 43 years.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Fayann Perez and Joe and Gail Latona of Vacaville; son-in-law, Frank L. Baroncinni Sr. of  Washington; grandchildren, Bobby Joe Jackson, Linda McDowell, Suzanne Thomas and Frank Baroncinni Jr., all of Arizona, Danielle Latona of Vacaville, Tony Latona of San Diego and Amanda Perez of Vacaville; and great-grandchildren, Collette Munkner of Pittsburg, Jamie Sheeder of  Texas and Haley Callan of Vacaville.

Ms. Scandurra was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Baroncinni.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McCune Garden Chapel with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Donald Gillam

Funeral services for Donald Gillam, 74, of Vacaville, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Pastor Lester Seto of Bethany Lutheran Church will officiate. A private burial will follow.

Mr. Gillam died of a sudden illness on April 15, 1999, in Las Vegas.

A Vacaville resident for 22 years, he retired from the Air Force as a master sergeant after two decades of service. He owned and operated Don's Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Vacaville for more than 20 years.

Mr. Gillam is survived by daughters, Pam Holst of Iowa, Marjorie and Sandra Gillam, Linda Robinson, Sally Frakes and Dawn Riggs, all of Vacaville; grandchildren, Gerrit and Amy Holst of Iowa, Curtis Gillam, Zachary Robinson, Ryan and Ashley Frakes, Misty and Melissa Ambrosio and Brittany Gillam McIntyre, all of Vacaville; brothers, Keith Gillam of Iowa and Bill Gillam of Arizona; sisters, Ruth Liles and Valaria Meyerman of Iowa; and special friend, Connie Blaufen of Vacaville. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCune Garden Chapel.
