Kaye A. Yoder

Graveside services for Kaye A. Yoder, 77, of Suisun City will be 2 p.m. today at Rockville Cemetery. A family friend will officiate.

Born Sept. 4, 1921, in  Pennsylvania, Mr. Yoder died April 29, 1999, in Fairfield.

A resident of Suisun City for 45 years, Mr. Yoder served in World War II from 1941 to 1945 as a captain and was awarded the Bronze Star.

A graduate of Ohio State University, he completed his master's degree in horticulture.

He worked as vice president of Basic Vegetable Co. of Vacaville in the raw-materials division.

He was a member of Green Valley Country Club and enjoyed golf.

Mr. Yoder is survived by his wife, Jackie of Suisun City; sons and daughters-in-law, Derek and Jan, Reed and Colleen, all of Vacaville; and grandsons, Justin and Shane of Vacaville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Solano County, 1652 W.  Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, 94533.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Angelina Terease Martin

Funeral services for Angelina Terease Martin, 72, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Winters Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin died April 29, 1999, at Vaca Valley Hospital after a short illness.

Born Sept. 9, 1926, in San Francisco, Mrs. Martin, a resident of Fairfield for the last quarter-century, was a homemaker for the past 53 years but also worked for 22 years as a weightmaster for the Valley View Parking Co.

She is survived by husband, Antonio Martin of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Esther and Andre Stone of Sacramento and Angelina and Robert Long of Vacaville; grandchildren, Sara and A.J. Stone of Sacramento and Ashley and Rachel Long of Vacaville; great-granddaughter, Ashley Gabrielle Hayes-Stone of Sacramento; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield with a vigil there at 7 p.m.

Rosario C. Daga

Funeral services for Rosario Crisostomo Daga, 67, of Guam will be held in Guam.

Mrs. Daga died April 30, 1999, in the University of California, Davis, Medical Center in Sacramento. She had been visiting family in Fairfield at the time of her death.

Born Oct. 10, 1931, in Guam, she lived in Agafu-Gumas, Yigo, Guam, for 32 years. She was a homemaker her adult life.

Mrs. Daga is survived by her husband, Joel Culpa Daga of Guam; sons, Joseph of Honolulu, Dionisio of San Diego, Antolin of Fairfield; Thomas Peter of Guam, Cedric of the Philippines; daughters, Patricia D. Pangelinan of Guam, Cecilia D. Javier of Guam, Leticia of Guam, Alma of Los Angeles, Nadine of Fairfield, Monica of the Philippines, Lorrie D. Toves of Guam; sister, Priscilla Gomataotao of Guam; 38 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Alice Malmberg

Funeral services for Evelyn Alice Malmberg, 82, will be 10 a.m., Thursday at Colonial Chapels in Vallejo.

The Rev. W.A. Burkey will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita,  Colo.

Mrs. Malmberg died May 1, 1999, at Sunrise La Mariposa Care Center in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born Nov. 24, 1916, in Kansas, she was a Solano County resident for 52 years. She lived in Vallejo, Fairfield and Vacaville at various times during that tenure. Mrs. Malmberg worked as a clerk at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center for 25 years before retiring in 1983. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Mrs. Malmberg is survived by her son, Larry of Ione; daughter, Glenda McNab of Baton Rouge, La.; grandchildren, Mitch McNab, Cynthia Flora, Jennifer LaBord, Sandra McNab, Corden Malmberg, Tiffany Rendon; nieces, Wanda Hansen and Yvonne Burt, both of Vallejo; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Colonial Chapels.

John D. Pine

Funeral services for John D. Pine, 67, of Vacaville will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCune Garden Chapel.

The Rev. Keith Knauf will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Pine died April 30, 1999, in Menlo Park.

Born Dec. 29, 1931, in Sacramento, he worked for the state Department of Justice as a special agent for 25 years. He was a member of the Woodland Elks, and he also enjoyed karate and hiking with his fiancee, Miluse Mladek of Sunnyvale. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and good friend.

Mr. Pine is survived by his fiancee; sons, Craig of Crest Line, Eric of Midland, Mich.; grandson, Kirk of Crest Line; granddaughters, Heather and Holly of Farewell, Mich.; cousins, John and David, both of Sacramento, Benny of Elk Grove; and his former wife, Geri Gonzalez of Vacaville.

Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at McCune Garden Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ruth Bradanini, 290 Fruitvale, Vacaville, 95688.

Dick Rubio

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dick Rubio, 77, of Winters will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Winters. Burial will will follow at the Winters Cemetery.

An evening vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's.

Mr. Rubio died May 3, 1999, at his Winters home.

Mr. Rubio was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Winters. He was a World War II veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He served in the U.S. Army from 1940 until 1944. He received a Purple Heart and returned home to marry his childhood sweetheart, Carmen Ramos.

Mr. Rubio ran a Crystal Dairy Farm and owned Rubio & Son Commercial Hay Services. He traveled to Spain several times to locate relatives. He was a Capay Valley volunteer firefighter and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, VFW Winters Post No. 11091 and the Farm Bureau.

Mr. Rubio valued family and friends. He never met a man he didn't like.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carmen, of Winters; daughters, Elizabeth Robben of Dixon and Brandy and Christee of Winters; sons, Richard and Mark of Winters, Spencer of Dixon; numerous grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Remembrances may be made in Mr. Rubio's name to the St. Anthony's Catholic Church Building Fund or to the Yolo Hospice.

Lucille Trekell

Graveside services for Lucille Trekell, 89, of Fairfield will be 10:30 a.m. today at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Trekell died April 30, 1999, in Fairfield after a brief illness.

Born Aug. 28, 1909, in Reedley, she lived in Vacaville the last 28 years. Before that, she lived in Belmont. Mrs. Trekell graduated from Reedley High School in 1927 and attended Reedley Junior College. She was a self-employed bookkeeper for 41 years.

Mrs. Trekell enjoyed painting, ceramics, traveling and, especially, spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1978. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Jr. and Barbara Trekell of Gilroy, Douglas and Donna Trekell of Vacaville, Donald and Linda Trekell of Santa Rosa; grandchildren, Todd and Jill Trekell of Gilroy, Travis and Tyler Trekell of Vacaville; and Jenni and Jaimie Trekell of Santa Rosa.

Clarence Feles Aguiar

Funeral services for Clarence Feles Aguiar, 87, of Fairfield will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. The Rev. John Duncan of Grace Episcopal Church will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Born April 20, 1912, in Honolulu, Mr. Aguiar died May 1, 1999, in Fairfield.

Mr. Aguiar moved from Hawaii to Tracy in 1974 and then to Fairfield in 1988. He was a supervisor of the maintenance department with a specialty in plumbing at Schofield Air Force Base and Wheeler Air Force Base before retiring in 1969 with 32 years' experience. He was a former member of the Hawaii Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 140. He was also a daily visitor to Solano Athletic Club in Fairfield.

Mr. Aguiar is survived by his wife, Mary of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Lu and Barry Young of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Judy of San Jose; grandchildren, Lisa Lillemoe of Vacaville, Tracie Panting of Anchorage, Bryan of San Jose, Jon Lillemoe of Vacaville, Erin Young of Fairfield; and four great-granddaughters.

Visitation will be at noon Friday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Vicenta A. Messer

Funeral services for Vicenta A. Messer, 87, of Fairfield will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Solano Valley Mortuary. The Rev. Sebastian Meyer of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will officiate. Burial will be at Fairfield-Suisun Cemetery.

Born June 8, 1911, in Cabagan Isabella, Philippines, Mrs. Messer died April 30, 1999, at home.

A native of the Philippines, she lived in Fairfield for 16 years. She graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Isabella, Philippines, and was an accomplished piano player. She also enjoyed traveling around the world and eating at fine restaurants.

Mrs. Messer is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Cora DePaul; grandchildren, Joseph, Lisa, James and Wendy DePaul of Fairfield, Carol and Luis Azarate of Fairfield, Virna and Craig Meyers of Davis, Robert and Lani DePaul of Redding.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Solano Valley Mortuary with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Leona F. Parham

Graveside services for Leona F. Parham, 69, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Lakeside Cemetery in Arizona.

Mrs. Parham died May 3, 1999, in Lakeside.

Born in 1930 in St. Cloud, Minn., she graduated from high school in Sauk Rapids, Minn., in 1948. She attended Colorado Women's School in Greenlee in 1950 and then attended Colorado State University, where she graduated in 1952.

She taught school in Amarillo,  Texas, and for most of her teaching years she taught at Cleo-Gordon Elementary in Fairfield. She retired in 1995 after 35 years of teaching, but she continued to substitute teach for several years. She received many awards for her teaching ability in California. She loved to play piano and often played at church services. She also loved to paint.

Mrs. Parham is survived by her husband, James of Lakeside; son, Rick of Lakeside; daughter, Jan Britt of Sacramento; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James A. Parham III.

On Saturday there will be a memorial service held at 10 a.m. at The Lighthouse Christian Church, 418 Haven St., Winters. Donations can be made to the Church.

Angelo Simoni, Jr.

No services will be held for Angelo Simoni Jr., 64, of Camas Valley, Ore., who died April 24, 1999, at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Born Jan. 23, 1935, in Santa Rosa to Angelo and Susanna (Orlarich) Simoni Sr., Mr. Simoni enjoyed farming and raising animals.

He lived in Vacaville for several years in the 1970s and 1980s.

Mr. Simoni is survived by his wife, Cecelia; children, Kimberly, Gino, Joey, Sherri and Cindy; sister, Norma; and 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Angelo's memory to Mercy Hospice, 2700 Stewart Parkway, Roseburg, Ore., 97470.

Robert John Holsworth

Funeral services for Robert John Holsworth, 66, of Fairfield will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Sebastian Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born Jan. 29, 1933, in Sayreville, N.J., Mr. Holsworth died May 3, 1999, in Fairfield.

A resident of Fairfield for 37 years, Mr. Holsworth served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1971. He retired as a technical sergeant. A veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War, he then attended California State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting. He went to work for the Internal Revenue Service as a revenue agent for 20 years, and worked at the Walnut Creek and Vallejo offices.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a leader in the AA program for 22 years. He was an active member of Mount Carmel Church and was active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Little League.

He is survived by his wife, Nobuko of Fairfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Francis Robert and Marcel of Monterey, Raymond and Rayna of Fairfield; son, Robert of Fairfield; mother, Mary Holsworth of Old Bridge, N.J.; sister, Grace Maag of Florida; brothers, Richard of Parlin, N.J., Francis of Pensacola, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home with a vigil at 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o Mount Carmel Church, 2700 Dover Ave., Fairfield, 94533.
