Lucille M. Hoffman Larson

Funeral arrangements are pending for Lucille M. Hoffman Larson, 80, of Vacaville.

Born March 14, 1919, in Atchison, Kan., Mrs. Larson died June 9, 1999, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo.

She attended school in Kansas and graduated from Mount Saint Scholastica Girls High School in Atchison.

She worked as a stenographer for the U.S. Air Force and NASA. She moved to Vacaville in 1958.

She opened her own business in 1962. The business - King Pin - specialized in awards, engraving and commercial embroidery work for various sports and professional organizations. She turned the business over to her stepson when she retired in 1984.

She was a caring and loving wife.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Sr.; stepson, Bruce; grandson, Bruce; stepdaughter, Jacqueline Larson Schoenstein; son-in-law, David Schoenstein; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Edwynne Hoffman of Atchison; sister-in-law, Doris Hoffman of Dayton, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 832 Folsom St., 9th Floor, San Francisco, 94107.

Wayne L. Johnson

A private funeral service will be held for Wayne L.  Johnson today.

Born Nov. 7, 1955, in San Francisco, Mr.  Johnson died June 8, 1999, at Stanford University Hospital.

He lived in San Francisco most of his life. He enjoyed camping and was an avid San Francisco 49ers football fan.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Maryellen Salciccia of Santa Cruz; mother and stepfather, Norma and Robert Dedrick of Clearlake; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Lori of El Granada, and Hank and Stacey Dedrick of Fairfield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Brian Bozarth of Moss Beach, and Troy and Lori Waldron of Vacaville; nephews, Brian, Joshua, Brandon, Jackson, Daniel and Zachary; and nieces, Krystal, Savanna, Samantha, Krysten and Courtney.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne L.  Johnson Sr.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Santa Cruz AIDS Project, P.O. Box 557, Santa Cruz, 95061.

Warren Seifert

A memorial service for Warren Seifert, 84, of Vacaville will be 4 p.m. Sunday in Community Presbyterian Church of Vacaville. Interment will be private.

Mr. Seifert died suddenly June 9, 1999, at VacaValley Hospital.

Born Oct. 4, 1914, in Bradyville, Iowa, he had lived in Vacaville since 1986. He had worked for 33 years with Northwest Airlines as a flight dispatcher and was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 134 of Vacaville, Eastern Star Chapter No. 28, Community Presbyterian Church and Solano County Habitat for Humanity.

Mr. Seifert had a great sense of humor and he loved helping other people, gardening and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Vacaville; daughter, Karen Derrickson of Westbank, B.C.; son, Jack A. of Seattle; stepdaughter, Jean Pulis and husband, Lou of Concord; stepson, Reese Bowman and wife, Lynn, of Pleasanton; brother and sister-in-law, Jack R. and Mary of Cranbury, N.J; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Habitat For Humanity, c/o Muray Mattice, 483 Sandy Way, Benicia, 94510.

Donald Wayne Hardy

Memorial services for Donald Wayne Hardy, 58, of Vallejo will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Skyview Memorial Chapel.

Inurnment also will be at Skyview.

Mr. Hardy died June 3, 1999, in Sutter Solano Hospital in Vallejo after a short illness.

Born Jan. 29, 1941, in Cardwell, Mo., Mr. Hardy worked for various bars for 20 years and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1960. He loved sports, especially the San Francisco 49ers.

Mr. Hardy is survived by four daughters, Nanette M. Williams of Benicia and her husband, Dennis, Kimberly D. Teixeira of Rodeo and her husband, Michael, Allison M. Dean of Vacaville and her husband, Ron, and Dawnmarie Gomez of Vallejo; two sons, Gregory Gomez and Donald W. Hardy of Vallejo; two brothers, Roger D. Hardy and Robert F. Hardy of Vallejo; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Solano County at 1652 W.  Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, 94533.

Fridrikh Stoyanovsky

Funeral services for Fridrikh Stoyanovsky, 73, of Fairfield will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mr. Stoyanovsky died June 5, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center following a short illness.

Born Feb. 2, 1926, Mr. Stoyanovsky emigrated to the United States with his family in 1987 after working for 42 years as a barber in Ukraine.

He is survived by his wife, Nyura Stoyanovsky of Fairfield; daughter, Luda Volodarsky and son-in-law, Leo of Fairfield; son, Alex Stoyanovsky and daughter-in-law, Lina of Fairfield; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker.

Rose Marie Acquistapace

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Marie Acquistapace, 83, of Green Valley will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will officiate. Burial will be in Rockville Cemetery.

A vigil will be held 6:30 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. Acquistapace died June 6, 1999.

Born Jan. 9, 1916, in Richmond, she spent the last 23 years in Green Valley. She and her husband, Marion, started Richmond Blueprint & Litho Company in 1943 and she was involved with the business for 56 years. She was a dynamic woman, wife, mother and grandmother whose family was the center of her universe. She was a fabulous chef.

Mrs. Acquistapace is survived by her husband, Marion of Green Valley; sons, Ronald and Carl, both of Richmond; sister, Elsie Pace of El Sobrante; grandchildren, Lisa of San Francisco, Greg of El Cerrito, Justin of Pinole and Adrienne of Richmond; and nephews, Bob, Richard and Fred Lompa and Kenneth Machado.

Friends may call at the funeral home today between 5 and 9 p.m.

Contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Oakland.

Gustavo 'Cody' Michael Burdo

Memorial services for Gustavo "Cody" Michael Burdo, 1, of Vacaville, will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Vaca Hills Chapel.

The Rev. Earl Gibbins will officiate.

There will be a private inurnment.

Born June 30, 1997, in Vacaville, he died June 5, 1999, in Sacramento at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center after a sudden illness.

He is survived by his mother, Roberta Granger of Vacaville; father, Gustavo Valenzuela of Vacaville; stepfather, Jeremy Granger of Vacaville; grandmother, Linda Burdo of Vacaville; grandfather, Bill Burdo of Vacaville; grandmother, Sandy Asher of Vacaville; stepgrandfather, Michael Heitz of Vacaville; and stepgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Granger.

Enrique Carlos Flores

A Mass of Christian Burial for Enrique Carlos Flores, 96, of Suisun will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield.

The Rev. Umberto Penunuri will officiate. Burial will be in the Suisun Fairfield Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today at Fairfield Funeral Home.

Mr. Flores died June 6, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born July 26, 1902, in Nicaragua, Mr. Flores had lived in Suisun for two years. He owned and ran a printing company for 50 years until his retirement in 1970.

He is survived by his daughters, Lila DeCano of Nicaragua, Argentina Blandino of Suisun, and Aida Nash of Walnut Creek; sons, Oscar and Donaldo Flores of Suisun; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Sidney Arnold Simonson

Memorial services for Sidney Arnold Simonson, 82, of Vacaville will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Vaca Hills Chapel under the auspices of the Oakland Sequoia Lodge, No. 349 F.&A.M.

There will be a private inurnment.

Born Nov. 27, 1916, in Nebraska, Mr. Simonson died May 8, 1999, at his Vacaville home after a long illness.

He moved to Vacaville six years ago.

He was a vice principal with the Oakland Unified School District for 23 years.

He belonged to the Oakland Shriners, and enjoyed gold panning, gardening and fishing.

Mr. Simonson is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Vacaville; daughter, Cindy Dunn of Vacaville; grandchildren, Heather, Brandon and Jeremy Dunn of Vacaville.

Leon D. Smith

Visitation for Leon D. Smith, 100, of Vallejo will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fairfield-Suisun Cemetery. The Rev. Stan Sanderson will officiate.

Born June 28, 1898, in Coldwater, Mich., Mr. Smith died June 4, 1999, at his Vallejo residence after a long illness.

He lived in Vallejo for 64 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War I. He later worked as an electrician at Mare Island for 20 years before retiring.

Mr. Smith owned Smitty's TV and Radio Shop in Vallejo during the 1950s.

He loved astrology and was an avid rockhound. He collected many semi-precious stones over the years.

He is survived by his daughter, Eleanor Altman of Fair-field; grandsons, Clifford Altman of Shingle Springs, William Altman of Oxnard and Marvin Altman of Fairfield; great-grandaughters, Karma Altman of Santa Maria, Casey Altman of Fairfield and Kate Kelsey of Oxnard.

Phyllis Dean Bates

Funeral services for Phyllis Dean Bates, 64, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Pastor Glen Green of Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Rockville Cemetery.

Mrs. Bates died June 6, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

Born July 11, 1934, in Christopher, Ill., she lived in Vacaville for 31 years. She graduated from Armijo High School, and worked as a beautician for five years. She and her husband, Bob, owned and operated Fairvac Auto and Truck Wrecking for 20 years. She retired in 1994 due to health problems. She was a member of the Church of God in Fairfield.

Mrs. Bates is survived by her husband, Bob of Vacaville; daughters, Dana of Fairfield and Lisa of Vacaville; son, Richard of Vacaville; sister, Barbara Macy of Pinetta, Fla.; brothers, James and Orval Bailey of Rockford, Ill.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to The Church of God, 930 Empire St., Fairfield, 94533.

Stillman David Callison

Services for Stillman David Callison, 64, of Cleveland, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Abundant Life Worship Center.

The Rev. Wendell Lovelis will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery.

Mr. Callison died June 5, 1999, in his home after a long illness.

Born Jan. 6, 1935, in Cleveland, Okla., He graduated from high school in Vacaville with the class of 1953. He joined the United States Army after graduation and was on active duty for six years. After obtaining a honorable discharge in 1960 he gained employment with Chevron Oil in Vacaville, he worked for Chevron Oil for eight years and was transferred to Hawaii in 1962. He came back to the mainland while working different jobs until 1980. He opened up Vaca Valley Auto Wreckers and retired from that due to his medical condition in 1985. He moved to Cleveland in 1985 and had lived here since. He was united in marriage to Patricia Jean (Jones) at Miami, Okla., on Oct. 28, 1997. He was a member of the Abundant Life Worship Center, VFW, was a reserve police officer and the Northern Cherokee Nation.

Mr. Callison enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.

Mr. Callison is survived by his wife, Patricia Jean of Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Pete Pederson of Alma Center, Wis., Moana and Jeff Swafford of Cleveland, Vanessa and Pete Lentino of Vacaville; Mahi and Gil Vicochea of Vacaville; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kathleen of Winters, Jake and Paula of Cleveland; stepdaughter, Kim Darwin of Fairfield; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Brian Varnell of Cleveland; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William Buddy, Jacob and Frankie and a sister, Dessie Jeanette Peevey.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
