Robert Taylor

Private services will be held for Robert Taylor, 52, of San Francisco. Pastor Vernon  Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Solano Valley Mortuary in Fairfield.

Mr.  Taylor died Sept. 27, 1999.

Born on Dec. 13, 1946, in Alabama, he lived in San Francisco for 43 years. He was a mechanic for five years.

Mr.  Taylor is survived by his mother, Mattie of Fairfield; aunt, Clara Thompson of Pittsburgh; and brother, James Edward of New York.

David Torres Flores

Funeral services for David Torres Flores, 37, of Fairfield, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Assembly of God Church in Fairfield.

Pastor Robert Clay will officiate. Burial will be at Suisun Fairfield Cemetery.

Mr. Flores died suddenly Sept. 28, 1999.

Born on Nov. 27, 1961, in Salinas, he moved to Fairfield 34 years ago and was a self-employed private investigator there. He graduated from Armijo High School and was a graduate of the California Highway Patrol academy.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in educational vocational studies from Southern Illinois University. He recently completed his first year of law school at Lincoln Law School in Sacramento. He was licensed by the Bureau of Private Investigations.

He was a member of the Rock of Salvation Ministry; Hispanic Rotary Club; and YMCA. He enjoyed church youth activities, and his other interests included golf, basketball and football.

Mr. Flores is survived by his wife, Monica Kay Flores of Fairfield; daughters, Julia Jane Marie Flores of Fairfield and Veronica Irisa Flores of Vacaville; sons, David Isaiah Flores and Joshua Nathaniel Flores, both of Fairfield; father, Eleazar Castro Flores of Yuba City; mother and stepfather, Nereira and Joaquin DeLuna of Fairfield; sister, Elda Flores Escobedo of Fairfield; brothers, Rick, Cesar and Edward, all of Fairfield; stepsisters, Angie Evans and Jacqueline Web, both of Fairfield; and stepbrothers, Dean DeLuna of Fairfield and Steve DeLuna of San Diego. He also has numerous nieces and nephews.

James Trepoy

No services will be held for James Trepoy, 63, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Trepoy died Sept. 27, 1999, at Stanford Medical Center.

Born on Jan. 7, 1936, in Elyria, Ohio, he moved to Fairfield 42 years ago. He served in the U.S. Air Force from June 1953 to May 1961 as a nuclear weapons specialist.

Upon discharge from the Air Force, he worked at the Concord Naval Weapons Station, Travis Air Force Base, and Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., as a nuclear weapons safety specialist until retiring in 1985. He was an avid scuba diver and enjoyed auto racing and motorcycles.

Mr. Trepoy is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Renee Trepoy of LaGrande, Ore.; brother, Frank of Lorain, Ohio; and sister-in-law Darla of Lorain, Ohio. He also had several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Friends of Fisher House, care of Military Community Health Care Foundation, 831 Alamo Drive, Suite 6B, Vacaville, 95688.

Mary Anne Williamson

Memorial services for Mary Anne Williamson, 67, of Fairfield, will be 5 p.m. Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Building in Vacaville. Inurnment will be private at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.

Mrs. Williamson died Sept. 25, 1999, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base after a long battle with lung cancer.

Born on Nov. 30, 1931, in Evansville, Ind., she moved to Fairfield 44 years ago. She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1952, married her husband of 49 years, Richard, and traveled with him during his military career.

She was a homemaker who raised four children. She owned and operated the Williamson Ceramics business with her husband. She loved making ceramics for her friends and also enjoyed tracing her family's genealogy.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Onisbo Chapter, in Courtland and the Love Chapter in Mannheim, Germany; Shiloah Shrine  White Shrine of Jerusalem; Memzaleh Temple Daughters of the Nile; Pueblo Assembly and Paradise Assembly Social Order of the Beauceant; Korean War Veterans Association; and Rago Christopher Chapter American Legion and Auxiliary.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by her husband, Richard of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Bob Schneider of Fairfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Ward and Gertrude of Gauangelloch, Germany; Lt. Col. John and Deanna of the U.S. Embassy, Geneva; son, Mark of Fairfield; and grandchildren, Thomas and Sabina of Germany, Chelsea of Switzerland and Samantha and Matthew Schneider of Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Order of the Eastern Star, Cancer Dressing Fund, care of Onisbo Chapter Secretary, P.O. Box 426, Courtland, 95615, or Shrine Children's Hospital, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, 95817.

Euvalyn McFarlane

A funeral for Euvalyn McFarlane, 88, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 601 Whispering Bay Lane, Fairfield.

The Rev. Claybon Lea will officiate.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Solano Valley Mortuary, 2590 N.  Texas St., Fairfield.

Born April 31, 1911, in Jamaica, Mrs. McFarlane died Sept. 30, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center after a long illness.

She lived in Fairfield for the past two years.

She was a seamstress for 20 years. And she was a member of the Westlake Community Church in Daly City.

She is survived by her daughters, Norma Beddall of London, England, R. Cynthia Castles of Suisun City, Phyllis Jackson, Laurel Tucker and Pricilla Chambers, all of Toronto; son, George of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren, Peter Denese, Derron J., Dwight, Derron C., Donald, Diahn, Dahlia, Nigel, Neil, Otes, Kevin, Sandra and Junior; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Eileen McFarlane.

Rosemarie Elaine Tilley

A funeral for Rosemarie Elaine Tilley, 37, of Fairfield will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Private burial will be in Placerville Union Cemetery.

Ms. Tilley died Oct. 4, 1999, at her home following a sudden illness.

Born on Oct. 13, 1961, in Iron Belt, Wis., she attended grade school in Wisconsin but graduated from El Dorado High School in Placerville in 1980. Ms. Tilley then studied in college for three years. She had worked as a staff services manager 1 specialist for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection in Sacramento since 1988.

Ms. Tilley, who had lived in Fairfield for the past 11 years, was a technical sergeant in the United States Air Force for 16 years and also served as active reserve guard.

She also was an active member of the New Life Church of the Nazarene in Fairfield and a volunteer for County Crisis Counseling.

Ms. Tilley is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn R. Boschen of Fairfield; her parents, David and Joyce of Placerville; sisters, Lucinda R. of Fairfield and Valerie J. of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Linda of Bessemer, Mich.; and her fiance and best friend, Scott Page of Fairfield.

A visitation is scheduled at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Ernesto Javellana Del Pilar

A memorial Mass for Ernesto Javellana Del Pilar, 72, of San Francisco will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Benedict DeLeon will officiate. Burial will be private.

Mr. Del Pilar died Sept. 29, 1999, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco after a long illness.

Born on Oct. 9, 1926, in the Philippines, he moved to San Francisco eight years ago. He worked as a counselor for the Salvation Army for four years after retiring from the U.S. Army.

Mr. Del Pilar is survived by his daughters, Dita Mortens of Vacaville and Ernestina of the Philippines; son, Roberto of San Francisco; seven brothers; and one sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Salvation Army.

William F. 'Mac' McDonnell

A funeral for William F. "Mac" McDonnell, 74, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Gerald Moran will officiate. A rosary will be 7 p.m. today at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Silveyville Cemetery.

Mr. McDonnell died Oct. 4, 1999, in Vacaville.

Born on Feb. 13, 1925, in International Falls, Minn., he lived in Dixon the past two years. He worked as a chemical engineer for FMC for 20 years. He also worked as a sales representative for Penn Reels and Universal Telescopic for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. McDonnell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Darrell Brown of Idaho; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lori of Utah and Will and Brenda of Dixon; sons, Kevin of Dixon and Mark of Reno; grandchildren, Kara Bidwell of Idaho, Erin Brown of Idaho, Patrick Brown of Idaho, Andrew of Dixon and Joseph of Dixon; and brother, James of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, care of Ruth Bradanini, 290 Fruitvale Drive, Vacaville, 95812.

Catherine Hopkins Stolle

A Mass of Christian Burial for Catherine Madeline Hopkins Stolle, 82, of Dixon will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial will be at Silveyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon.

Mrs. Stolle died on Oct. 3, 1999, at the Courtyard Healthcare Center in Davis, where she had been a patient since March.

Born on Sept. 3, 1917, in Oakland, she was a graduate of Dixon Union High School with the class of 1935. She also attended Armstrong Business College in Berkeley and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She worked in the payroll department of Pacific Gas & Electric in San Francisco before moving to Honolulu and working for Theo H. Davies Co. in the insurance department.

In 1950, she moved back to Dixon and worked at various automobile dealerships until 1956, when she went to work for First National Bank of Dixon as a bookkeeper and teller. In 1961, she owned and operated the Phillips Petroleum distributorship with her husband, Francis. She retired in 1974.

Mrs. Stolle is survived by her brother, Leo P. Hopkins of Daly City; nephew, Peter J. Hopkins of Colma; and nieces, Jane Hopkins Bram of Maysville, Mo., Mary Bowman DeMent of Hilo, Hawaii, and Ann Bowman Pietsch of Honolulu. She also had eight great-nieces and two great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, in 1988; parents, Pat and Kate; sisters, Elizabeth M. McNeill and Maxine Bowman; and nephews, John Bowman and Patrick H. Hopkins.

Ben E. Burnside

A funeral for Ben E. Burnside, 69, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Claybon Lea Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Disposition will be at the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mr. Burnside died Oct. 5, 1999, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo.

Born Sept. 14, 1930, in Bardstown, Ky., he served in the Air Force for 22 years before retiring as a staff sergeant. After retiring he worked for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District. He was a member of Mount Calavary Baptist Church.

Mr. Burnside is survived by his wife, Myrtle of Fairfield; sons, Darrell and James of Fairfield and Wilfred Evans of  Texas; daughters, Alice Faye Anderson of  Texas, Marie Earl Mahone of  Oklahoma and Gwendolyn Caldwell of  Washington; sisters, Helen Helms and Josphine Batise of Kentucky; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy.

Leonora Farrand

No services will be held for Leonora Farrand, 91, of Vacaville. Burial was Oct. 6 in Stockton.

Ms. Farrand died of heart failure Oct. 1, 1999, at her home in Vacaville.

Born on Oct. 27, 1907, in Santa Cruz, she was a registered nurse and fashion show model who moved to Solano County in 1984. She loved to sing, dance and ride roller coasters.

Ms. Farrand is survived by her son, Bob of Crescent City; and granddaughters, Tawny and Kayla Timm of Davis, Laura Bentley of Elk Grove and Lisa Farrand of Vacaville.

Sherrilyn Lanet Kersting

A memorial service for Sherrilyn Lanet Kersting, 63, of Fairfield will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Order of the Eastern Star, Suisun Chapter, No. 2. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Kersting died Oct. 3, 1999, in Sacramento after a short illness.

Born June 28, 1936, in Marysville, she was a homemaker for the past 40 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Suisun Chapter No. 2; Native Daughters of the Golden West; and Grace Episcopal Church in Fairfield. She also was active in the International Order of Rainbows for Girls. She enjoyed sewing and camping.

Mrs. Kersting is survived by her husband, Conrad of Fairfield; daughters, Cynthia Hartwig of Fairfield and Emily Bouchard of Vacaville; son, Morris of Ione; sisters, Gwenith LaMida of Fairfield and Ariel George of  Washington; and grandchildren, Michael Pannier and Lisa of Fairfield, Brandy of Massachusetts and Jeremy Nunez, Jason Nunez and Breann Prien, all of Vacaville.

Memorial contributions can be sent to Jacob's Heart, through the Rainbow Girls care of Grand Assembly/Grand Services, Mrs. Anna Lind, S.I. 22393 Old Logging Road, Los Gatos, 95033.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan Braker Funeral Home.

Susan B. Beksel

Memorial services for Susan B. Beksel, 52, of Vacaville will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Community Presbyterian Church. Pastor John Moser will officiate. Burial will be in  Whitehall, Wis.

Born on Jan. 27, 1947, in  Whitehall, Wis., she moved to the Vacaville area in 1984 and was a teacher at Jean Callison and Fairmont elementary schools.

Mrs. Beksel is survived by her husband, Robert of Vacaville; son, Benjamin of Vacaville; daughter, Elizabeth of Vacaville; and brothers, Dr. Sheldon Ivers of Great Falls, Mont., and Brad Ivers of  Whitehall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Will C. Wood Scholarship Fund.
