Delfina Ada Sedlak

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Delfina Ada Sedlak, 57, of Vacaville at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Father Benedict DeLeon will preside. Burial will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Sedlak died Oct. 6, 1999, at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco after a lengthy illness.

Born Nov. 11, 1941, in San Vincente, Saipan, she lived in Vacaville and Solano County for 25 years. She was a wife and mother for 34 years.

Mrs. Sedlak was a caring and devoted wife and mother who enjoyed her friends and family. She was an avid card player and enjoyed bingo.

Mrs. Sedlak is survived by her husband, Alvin of Vacaville; son Frank of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Dean Coleman of Fairfield; grandchildren, Frank Jr. of Vacaville, Vanessa and Vincent Coleman of Fairfield; brothers, John, Jose and Roman Ada, all of Saipan; sisters, Emy Atalig and Lydia Ada, both of Saipan.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McCune Garden Chapel and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Rosemary Cutlip

A memorial service for Rosemary Cutlip, 51, of Vallejo, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Cutlip died on Oct. 8, 1999, at SunBridge Nursing Center in Vallejo.

Born on June 10, 1948, in Rodeo, she moved to Vallejo 28 years ago after having lived in Rodeo and Pinole. She was a loving grandmother.

Mrs. Cutlip is survived by her daughters, Sunday Gilby and Emily, both of Benicia; sons, John of Benicia and Gerry of Tucson, Ariz.; and grandchildren, Randy Patillo and Donnie Weaver, both of Benicia, and Jonathon and Andy Gilby, both of Scottsdale, Ariz. She also had a sister and a brother.

Marjorie E. Eisner

Funeral services for Marjorie E. Eisner, 80, of Suisun, will be 10 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Bruno. Bishop Malcolm Weston will officiate. Visitation will be 8 to 9:30 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fairfield.

Mrs. Eisner died on Oct. 11, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center.

Born April 8, 1919, in Ordway,  Colo., she moved to Suisun 20 years ago after having lived in Concord, where she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3rd Ward. She was also a member of the 5th Ward in Fairfield after moving to Suisun. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved writing poetry and attending church camp with girls from her church.

Mrs. Eisner is survived by her daughters, Eleanore Grady and Barbara Shaw, both of Suisun, and Mary Margaret Smith of Fairfield. She also had eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Girls Camp of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, care of Bishop Malcolm Weston, 807 E. Travis Blvd., Fairfield, 94533. Arrangements are being handled by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home

Robert Lange

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert E. Lange, 75, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Bill Feeser will officiate.

Following the Mass, a burial service with full military honors will be held at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

A rosary service will be 7 p.m. today at Vaca Hills Chapel.

Mr. Lange died Oct. 11, 1999, at his home in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born on Sept. 3, 1924, in New York, he moved to the area in 1962.

He worked for the U.S. government as a management analyst for 28 years and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and Air Force.

He enjoyed bowling and golf.

Mr. Lange is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gene Gantt of Vacaville; granddaughter, Jennifer Gall of Vacaville; grandson Patrick Cross of Sacramento; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, care of St. Mary's Church, 350 Stinson Ave., Vacaville, 95688.

Richard Ortiz

A memorial service for Richard L. Ortiz, 47, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. Gary Standish will officiate.

Inurnment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Mr. Ortiz died Oct. 7, 1999, in San Francisco after a long illness.

Born Nov. 5, 1951, in Hayward, he moved to Vacaville 10 years ago after having lived in Oakland.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971 and was a Vietnam veteran. He also worked at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard for three years and at the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto for three years.

He loved the outdoors and fishing.

Mr. Ortiz is survived by his daughter, Victoria of Concord; son, Richard of Concord; mother, Juanita Diridoni of Vacaville; brother, Benjamin of Vacaville; stepbrothers, William Diridoni and his wife, Karen, of Pleasanton, and George Diridoni and his wife, Beverly, of Oakdale; stepsister, Sandra Powell and her husband, Joseph, of Vacaville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved stepfather, Emilio R. Diridoni.

Ethel Irene Smith

Graveside services for Ethel Irene Smith, 89, of Vacaville, will be 2 p.m. today at the East Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento.

Mrs. Smith died Oct. 9, 1999, in Vallejo

Born on March 20, 1910, in Austin,  Texas, she lived in  Oklahoma with her husband, William Otto Smith, until they moved to California.

She was a very active member of the Vacaville Senior Center and was awarded many prizes for her delicate porcelain and china-painted pieces.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Pat Jorgensen of San Anselmo; granddaughter, Lynn Jorgensen of Danville; niece, A.C. McHughes of Norman, Okla.; and nephews, Earl S. DeArman of Norman, Okla., and William Smith of Huntsville, Ala.

Marvel Anderson

No formal services will be held for Marvel Anderson, 88, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private at Penrose Cemetery in Byron, Wyo.

Mrs. Anderson died Oct. 12, 1999, at the Vacaville Convalescent Center after a long illness.

Born on Nov. 19, 1910, in Ishawah, Wyo., she moved to Vacaville seven years ago after having lived in Pomona for 15 years. She was a homemaker for more than 60 years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Women's Auxiliary in Cody, Wyo., and the Southern Baptist Church.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Sheryll of Vacaville, and Willard and Thelma of Cedaredge,  Colo.

Kathy Loedding

Funeral services for Kathy Loedding, 49, of Fairfield will be noon Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fairfield.

Bishop Anthony Young will officiate. Visitation will from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the church. Burial will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Loedding died Oct. 13, 1999, at her home in Fairfield after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born July 12, 1950, in Fort Bragg, she moved to Fairfield 12 years ago. She dedicated her life to children and family. An active church member, Mrs. Loedding was a primary teacher and a homemaking leader.

Mrs. Loedding is survived by her husband, Mike of Fairfield; daughters, Cynthia Barnhill of Oroville and Alicia Ann Barnhill of Fairfield; son, Charles Barnhill of Vacaville; stepson, James of Vacaville; parents, Joseph and Bonnie Abreu of Davis; sisters, Linda Catron of Sacramento, Alicia Tarrant of Forbestown and Debbie Brown of Winters; and brother, Joe Abreu of LaPine, Ore.; and six grandchildren.

Huber Garcia-Ponce

Visitation for Huber Garcia-Ponce, 26, of Fairfield, will be 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m., and interment will be at Panteon Municipal in Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico.

Mr. Garcia-Ponce died on Oct. 13, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center.

Born on Nov. 9, 1972, in Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico, he moved to Fairfield nine years ago. He was a sheet metal fabricator for Simpson DuraVent for six years.

Mr. Garcia-Ponce is survived by his wife, Tehauna S. Garcia of Fairfield; daughters, Vanessa and Cynthia Garcia of Fairfield; son, Eric Garcia of Fairfield; parents, Lorenzo and Aurora Garcia of Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico; sister, Xochitl Garcia of Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico; brothers, Victor Hugo Garcia of Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico, and Lorenzo Garcia of Fairfield; and grandparents, Prudencio and Natividad Ponce Barrera of Chupio, Michoacan, Mexico. He also has numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Zelta Snoe Dech

Memorial services for Zelta Snoe Dech, 85, of Helena, Mont., will be 11 a.m. today at the Church of the Nazarene in Helena, Mont.

Mrs. Dech died on Oct. 11, 1999, after a short bout with leukemia.

Born July 21, 1914, in Abilene, Kan., her travels throughout the military career of her husband, John, brought her to Vacaville, where she lived from 1976 to 1993.

She went to Miltonvale Weslyan College to equip herself to serve as a missionary evangelist. She also took in orphaned children, served other missionaries and acted as a minister for two years in a small church in Auburn, Wash.

During her travels, she stopped in Japan twice, where she developed a special love for Japanese cooking, and in Turkey, where she indulged in biblical geography, visiting the sites of the seven churches of the Nazarene.

Her other hobbies included reading and sewing. She sewed all of her own clothing until the last two years of her life.

She also served as a Sunday school teacher, was president of the Mission Society and secretary of church boards for a number of years.

Mrs. Dech is survived by her daughters, Jonett Berg of Helena, Mont., Hollymae Cierpke of Nashville, Tenn., and Georgina Smith of Healdsburg; sisters, Roberta Winter and Evangeline Bass; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; father, Lee Roy Helm; mother, Rose Etta Dewey; brothers, Jay and Paul; and sisters, Rosalie Berg and Roma Runyon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any gifts be given to the Church of the Nazarene or Nazarene World Missions.

Elmer L. Eagles

Funeral services for Elmer L. Eagles, 62, of Fairfield, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

The Rev. Stan Sanderson will officiate. Entombment will follow at Fairmont Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He will be given full military honors by the Travis Air Force Base Elite Honor Guard.

Mr. Eagles died on Oct. 12, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center after a long illness.

Born Aug. 31, 1937, in Platt City, Kan., he moved to Fairfield 26 years ago. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired in 1981 as a senior master sergeant.

He also worked as the production manager for Western Container in Benicia. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge of Japan and was a member of the F-100 Ford Elite Club of Fairfield. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing with his buddies, computers and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Eagles is survived by his wife, Peggy of Fairfield; daughters, Sharlene Stewart of Fairfield; son, Gregory of Fairfield; sister, Betty Jean Wilson of Liberty, Kan.; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jerry Tarwater of Kansas City, Mo.; granddaughter, Danielle of Fairfield; grandsons, Jason Dennison of Vacaville and Matthew Stewart and Gregory, both of Fairfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Jacobo Gonzalez

Funeral services for Jacobo Gonzalez, 79, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at McCune Garden Chapel, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

The Rev. Eugenio Lopez will officiate. Entombment will follow at Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Mr. Gonzalez died on Oct. 12, 1999, in Vallejo.

Born on Feb. 8, 1920, in Argentina, he worked for Basic Vegetable Products for 25 years before retiring.

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his sons, Alejandro and Francisco, both of Vacaville. He also had one grandson.
