Lorna Easter

Memorial services for Lorna Easter, 66, of Vacaville will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Epiphany Episcopal Church.

The Rev. Steve Leonetti will preside. Internment will be private.

Mrs. Easter died Oct. 14, 1999, in Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sept 3, 1933, in London, England.

Mrs. Easter is survived by her husband, Emory "Luke"; daughters and sons-in law, Diane and David Kesty of Sacramento, Donna and Jan Makowski of Vacaville and Deanna and William "Tory" Torrington of Rocklin; and grandchildren, Sarah and Amy Kesty, Bryan Emerson and Jamie and Abby Torrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, Northern California Chapter, 832 Folsom St., 9th Floor, San Francisco, 94107-3465, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2033 Howe Ave., Suite 205, Sacramento, 95825.

Arrangements were made by Neptune Society of Northern California, Fairfield.

Terry Osterman

Funeral services for Terry Osterman, 76, of Dixon will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Osterman died Oct. 19, 1999, in David Grant Medical Center.

Born Jan. 5, 1923, in Shanghai, China, she was a longtime resident of Dixon. She worked for First Northern Bank of Dixon for 18 years.

Mrs. Osterman is survived by her daughters, Teri Brown of Sacramento and Mari Rollins of Deland, Fla.; sons, Joseph of San Diego and William of Orinda; sisters, Mary Wah of Hong Kong and Margaret Zi of Australia; brother, Anthony Zi of Hong Kong; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Joseph Francis.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 105 S. Second St., Dixon, 95620, or to the American Diabetes Association, 631 Howard St., Suite 520, San Francisco, 94105-3907.

Dolores E. Owsley

Graveside services for Dolores E. Owsley, 70, of Suisun will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Rockville Cemetery.

The Rev. Robert Grove will officiate. Interment will be in Rockville Cemetery.

Mrs. Owsley died Oct. 15, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center.

Born Nov. 10, 1928, in Stockton, she lived in Suisun for 46 years. She worked as a bus driver for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District for 22 years, retiring in 1989. She also was a homemaker and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Mrs. Owsley is survived by her son, William of Suisun; stepdaughter, Darlene of Grizzly Flats; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Barbara Sayoko 'Tomiko' Dunn

A memorial service for Barbara Sayoko "Tomiko" Dunn, 71, of Vallejo will be 11 a.m. today at Mount Olive Pentecostal Church, 445 25th St. in Richmond.

Elder Franke Dayce will preside. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Dunn died Oct. 19, 1999, at David Grant Medical Center.

Born July 10, 1928, in Japan, she had lived in Vallejo for 22 years. She lived a life of dignity and was someone who cared for and loved others.

Mrs. Dunn was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan, a superb cook and was well-loved as a wife, grandmother and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Billie; daughter, Joann; sons, Jimmy and Bill; daughters-in-law, Jeannie and Krista; son-in-law, Asa Batten; grandsons, Anthony Jenkins, Jimmy, Michael Jazuk, Jimmy Jr. and Taylor; granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth; mother-in-law, Betty Ward; sister- and brother-in-law, Brenda and Donald Terry; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Arrangements are by Solano Valley Mortuary.

Carson Calvin Jones

A private funeral will be held for Carson Calvin Jones, 80, of Vacaville.

Mr.  Jones died Oct. 20, 1999, at VacaValley Hospital following a brief illness.

Born March 1, 1919, in St. Louis, he had lived in Solano County for 12 years. Mr.  Jones was an engineer for Santa Fe Railroad for 30 years and a past member of the Richmond California Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Gary Evans of Moraga; a son, Albert of Stockton; a daughter, Susan Flannigan of Cambry, Ore.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard of St. Petersburg, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa, 95402.

Marion I. Mosley

Memorial services for Marion I. Mosley, 104, of Fairfield will be at 2 p.m. on Nov. 6 at Fairfield Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Mosley died on Oct. 11, 1999, at her home in Fairfield.

Born on Jan. 23, 1895, in Wichita, Kan., she moved to Fairfield 40 years ago. She was a homemaker for 67 years.

She started her teaching career in one-room country schools in Kansas at the age of 18, continuing her education during the summers. She continued teaching at public schools after her marriage and took additional courses at San Jose State University, eventually receiving her bachelor's degree from New Mexico Highlands University.

She was a member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter V.T. (formerly Chapters R.R. and O.N.). She was also a former member of Past Worthy Matrons, Eastern Star and Wednesday Club of Suisun. Her hobbies included music, gardening and club work.

Mrs. Mosley is survived by her sons, Robert of Portola Valley and John R. of Phoenix; daughter, Margaret N. Heins of Fairfield; sister, Evadne Pharo of Manhattan, Kan; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Fairfield Presbyterian Church for the music ministry.

John Thomas Stenson

A Catholic Prayer Service for John Thomas Stenson, 68, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. Joseph M. Joyce will officiate. Inurement will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Stenson died on Oct. 19, 1999, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base.

Born on Oct. 6, 1931, in San Francisco, he moved to Fairfield 34 years ago. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years before retiring as a technical sergeant. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He owned and operated Fairfield and Vacaville Camera Center and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and photographer and was a member of the Fairfield Lions Club.

Mr. Stenson is survived by his wife, Margaret of Fairfield; sons, Mark and Craig of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Robin of Vacaville; and grandchildren, Andrea, Alex and Tamara, all of Vacaville.

Franklin John Uhazi Jr.

A memorial service for Franklin John Uhazi Jr., 43, of Vacaville will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 1127 Davis St. in Vacaville.

Pastor Leroy Gainey will preside. Inurnment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park in Fairfield.

Mr. Uhazi was the victim of a homicide Oct. 17, 1999, in Vacaville.

Born Oct. 28, 1955, in St. Albans, Vt., he had lived in the Vacaville area for 40 years.

Mr. Uhazi worked as a house painter for more than 10 years.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Blecher of Sacramento; sisters, Diane Ray of Pinole and Mary of Sacramento; and brothers, Patrick and Michael, both of Sacramento, Steven of  Louisiana and Mark Kinney of Vacaville.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mary L. Aldridge

A funeral for Mary L. Aldridge, 58, of Colorado will be 4 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. Aldridge died on Oct. 20, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield.

Born on Jan. 15, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz., she lived in Colorado for six years before recently moving to Fairfield. She lived in Pleasant Hill before moving to Colorado. She worked as a cook before retiring.

Mrs. Aldridge is survived by her husband, Walter of Fairfield; daughters, Karol Achelles of Kansas, Darla Closser of  Texas, Diane Closser of Albuquerque, N.M., Tammy Gonzales of Oroville and Kathleen Hadley of Crockett; brother, Herbert Conard of Illinois; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Allen B. Duncan

A celebration of the life of Allen B. Duncan, 75, of Wichita, Kan., will be Sunday in Klamath Falls, Ore.

At his request, Mr. Duncan was cremated and his remains will be placed in a columbarium niche with his first wife and next to his sister and brother-in-law.

Mr. Duncan died on Oct. 7, 1999, in Wichita, Kan.

Born on June 21, 1924, in Afton, Okla., he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he turned down a full scholarship to play football at the University of  Oklahoma in order to move to Merrill, Ore., to help his sister and brother-in-law with their cafe. There, he started working for Cargill Inc., where he was employed from 1951 until his retirement in 1986. While with the company, he lived in many different areas, including in Dixon from 1956 to 1969.

He was very active at all of his stops in the chamber of commerce, Toys for Tots, Lions Club, Rotary, Babe Ruth baseball leagues and the Reames Golf and Country Club in Klamath Falls. He like to play bridge, fish, golf, collect antiques, go to garage and estate sales, refinish furniture and duck decoys, make Tennessee walking sticks and do crossword puzzles.

Mr. Duncan is survived by his beloved wife of four years, Wilma of Wichita; daughter, Cindy and her partner, Lynne Armstrong, both of Concord; daughter, K. Sue and her partner, Kim Collier, both of Concord; son and daughter-in-law, Allen B. Jr. and Nancy of Liberal, Kan.; and grandchildren, Erin and Jared of Liberal. He also is survived by his four stepchildren, Max Courington Jr., Ann Capps, Sue Steiert and Mark Courington, and their families in the Wichita area. He also had numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his first wife, Patty, in 1993; sister, Deanie Marks; brother, Edward Major; brother-in-law, Dick Marks; and devoted maternal uncle and aunt, Stoney and Beulah Barber, as well as his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Dachshund Rescue of North American Inc., P.O. Box 2121 Kinston, N.C., 28502; National Jewish Medical & Research Center, 1400  Jackson St., Denver,  Colo., 80206; the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Eric Bruce Morris

A memorial service for Eric Bruce Morris, 39, of Fairfield will be 4 p.m. Monday at Solano Valley Mortuary in Fairfield. The Rev. Joseph Flowers will officiate. Burial will be private.

Mr. Morris died on Oct. 18, 1999, after a long illness at his home in Fairfield.

Born Jan. 5, 1960, in Fairfield, he was a graduate of Fairfield High School and of the American Automotive Institute in Arizona.

Mr. Morris is survived by his mother, Velma; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patrice and Thomas Graham of Las Vegas and Cassandra and Joseph Simon of Sacramento; sister, Vicki of Fairfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Neal and Lise of Modesto and Jerome and Lorene of Sacramento; brothers, Duane of Medford, Ore., and Kevin of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews.

William 'Bill' Garth Bacon

Memorial services for William "Bill" Garth Bacon, 63, of Fairfield will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Stan Sanderson will officiate. Inurnment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park. The service will be with full military honors by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.

Mr. Bacon died on Oct. 21, 1999, at his home in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on Sept. 29, 1936, in Knoxville, Tenn., he moved to Fairfield 29 years ago. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. After retiring in 1976 with a Commendation Medal, he worked for Coastal States Refining at the Pacific Refinery in Hercules as a terminal supervisor. He retired, after 20 years, in 1996.

Mr. Bacon is survived by his wife, Joyce of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Debby of Vacaville; son, Greg of Vacaville; sisters, Wanda Pitts and Dorothy Lusby, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; and brother, Fred of Sevierville, Tenn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Solano County Habitat for Humanity, 1875 Fairfield Ave., Room 12, Fairfield, 94533 or to the American Cancer Association, Solano County Unit, 1652 W.  Texas St., Fairfield, 94533.
