Maria Isabel Juarez

Funeral services for Maria Isabel Juarez, 35, of Dixon will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Maurice O'Brien will preside. Interment will be in Silveyville Cemetery.

Mrs. Juarez died Oct. 20, 1999, in Davis after a sudden illness.

Born Feb. 6, 1964, she lived in Dixon for eight years. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Juarez enjoyed dancing and singing. She was very cheerful and outspoken and well-loved by everyone.

Mrs. Juarez is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denci and Ramiro Gonzalez of Dixon; daughter, Liliana Hernandez of Dixon; sons, Carlos and Richard, both of Dixon; grandson, Ramiro Gonzalez IV of Dixon; 11 brothers and sisters, all of Mexico; and mother, Enedina of Mexico City, Mexico.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday with rosary at 7 p.m. in Milton Carpenter Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Juarez's memory to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 105 S. Second St., Dixon.

IdaMarie Amanda McCann

There will be no funeral for IdaMarie Amanda McCann, 95, of Woodland at her request. A private burial took place last week in the McCann family plot in the Silva Dixon Cemetery.

Miss McCann died Oct. 9, 1999, at her home after a sudden illness.

Born May 23, 1904, in Dixonville, she resided in Woodland for 25 years. She lived in Dixonville for 70 years. She graduated from Dixon High School in 1920, received a degree from Heald Business College and was graduated from Sacramento State with bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting management. She worked for University of California, Davis, in the accounting department for 25 years before working for Yolo County for 20 years.

Miss McCann was a very private and caring friend who enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, knitting, needlepoint, crocheting, sewing and cooking. She was devoted to her pets and enjoyed her home.

Miss McCann is survived by four great-nieces and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Yolo Hospice in her memory.

Arrangements were made by McCune Garden Chapel.

Virginia Silva-Santos

A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia Silva-Santos, 90, of Suisun will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church, 22824 Second St. in Hayward.

The Rev. Sebastian Meyer of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fairfield will preside. Interment will be at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Cemetery in Hayward.

Mrs. Silva-Santos died Oct. 19, 1999, in her home following a long illness.

Born Aug. 2, 1909, in Hilo, Hawaii, she had lived in Suisun for 12 years. She had lived in Newark from 1958 to 1987.

Mrs. Silva-Santos was a homemaker for more than 70 years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and her family and made crochet dolls for all of her family members.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Alfred Parish of Suisun; sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Kim Smith of Corpus Christi,  Texas, and Edward and Bobbette Santos of Santa Rosa; son, Stanley and Yvonne Silva of Suisun; sister, Anne Moniz of San Lorezno; sisters-in-law, Margaret Chaves of Newark and Betty Chaves of Hayward; granddaughters, Cheree McDaniel and Stacy Hesseltine, both of Fairfield, and Shannon Carella and Kimberly Parish, both of Suisun; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Edwin Joseph Walsh

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated for Edwin Joseph Walsh, 83, of Vacaville at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Rev. William Feesar will preside. Interment will follow in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Walsh died Oct. 22, 1999, in Sunbridge Convalescent Hospital in Vallejo after a long illness.

Born April 19, 1916, in Garrison, N.D., he lived in Vacaville for 55 years. He was a plumber for 51 years, employed with Local 343.

Mr. Walsh is survived by his daughters, Patricia Chamberlain, Rory Tate and Dara Sherwood, all of Vacaville, and Michaela Albini of Santa Rosa; son, John of Vacaville; brother, Cy of Fargo, N.D.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call between 5 and 8 p.m. Monday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home. A rosary will be 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Paul Peter Zenone

Graveside services for Paul Peter Zenone, 80, of Petaluma will be noon Monday in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

The Rev. William Feeser of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Zenone died Oct. 20, 1999, in Pleasant Care Convalescent Hospital in Petaluma after a short illness.

Born March 4, 1919, in Kentucky, he resided in Vacaville before moving to Petaluma one year ago. He worked as a sales representative for Sunshine Biscuits for five years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion and N.A.R.F.E. He loved fishing and golf.

Mr. Zenone is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Carol of Petaluma and Paul and June of Tacoma, Wash.; and granddaughter, Helen of Berkeley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1988.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Paulina D. Nunes

A Catholic prayer service for Paulina D. Nunes, 89, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Fairfield Funeral Home.

The Rev. Sebastian Meyer of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will officiate.

Burial will be in the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Born Nov. 11, 1909, in Portugal, Mrs. Nunes died Oct. 23, 1999, at SunBridge La Mariposa after a long illness.

She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Nunes-Brown of Fairfield; sons, Luis Lima of Los Banos and Manuel of Manteca; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Lou Wristen-Evans

No local funeral is planned for Bonnie Lou Wristen-Evans, 50, of Vacaville.

Mrs. Wristen-Evans will be buried at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camus, Wash.

Born on March 15, 1949, in Vancouver, Wash., Mrs. Wristen-Evans died Oct. 24, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a brief illness.

She lived in Vacaville for the past 11 years.

She worked as an administrative assistant, most recently for Wetland Construction.

She was a member of the Vaca Valley Christian Life Center in Vacaville.

She is survived by her daughters, Heather Evans and Tiffany of Napa; parents, Boyd E. and Janice E. Tiffany of Vacaville and brother, Ronald Tiffany of Vacaville.

Cecilia Hariet Bahlman

A memorial service for Cecilia Hariet Bahlman, 78, of Fairfield will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Stan Sanderson of Church of Christ will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Bahlman died Oct. 24, 1999, in NorthBay Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Born Oct. 7, 1921, in Norfolk, Va., she resided in the area for one year. She previously lived in Lake Wildwood, Aptos and Palo Alto. A homemaker for 57 years, she also worked at Stanford University as an administrative assistant for 10 years.

Her primary interests were her husband, children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Bahlman is survived by her husband, John Henry Sr. of Fairfield; sons and daughters-in-law, John Henry Jr. and Mykhanh of Palo Alto, Bob and Pandora of Lake Tahoe, Ron and Rita of Campbell and Harry and Helen of Los Altos; and eight grandchildren.

Franklin Jerome Carter

Funeral services for Franklin Jerome Carter, 64, of Suisun will be 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

The Rev. Claybon Lea will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mr. Carter died Oct. 24, 1999, at his home after a long illness.

Born Dec. 25, 1934, in Westpoint, Va., he lived in Suisun for 32 years. He was a recruiter with the United States Air Force for 20 years.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Geraldine of Suisun; daughters, Stacey of Berkeley, Portia of Sacramento and Monica Lewis of Sacramento; stepdaughter, Tarassa Humphrey of Los Angeles; sons, Franklin Jr. of Philadelphia, Isaac of Suisun and Mario of Moreno Valley; stepsons, Robert  Jones of Vallejo, Gerald  Jones of Rohnert Park and Marcus  Jones of Fairfield; mother, Marie of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Fairfield Funeral Home.

James Howard Jones

A funeral for James Howard Jones, 76, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. today in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

The Rev. Su Schlagel of the Christian Church in Vacaville will officiate.

Interment will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born Jan. 19, 1923, in Wakefield, Neb., Mr.  Jones died Oct. 24, 1999, in VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

He was active in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a joyous member of the local barbershop S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. He also was a vigil member of the Order of Arrow, a Mason and a member of the Lions and Kiwanis clubs.

He developed and implemented the United Veterans Memorial Association. After suffering from and being cured of rheumatoid arthritis, he was instrumental in the legalization of acupuncture in California.

He was a 50-year life member of the Veterans Organization.

Mr.  Jones is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (Dora) of Vacaville; son, John Michael of Roseburg, Ore.; daughter, Christa Jones-Haynes of Fairfield; grandchildren, Bradley Palmer, Dorna Hewitt-Jones, Kristopher and Deziree; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vacaville Chapter No. 7244, 549 Merchant St., Vacaville, 95688.

Everett Roscoe Mackie

Funeral services for Everett Roscoe Mackie, 86, of Clearlake Oaks, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Suisun-Fairfield Congregational Church in Suisun. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Mr. Mackie died on Oct. 20, 1999, at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa.

Born on April 15, 1913, in Grove, Okla., he worked for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District as a custodian for 30 years before retiring. He was a longtime resident of Suisun City.

Mr. Mackie is survived by his daughters, Louise Braddock of Clearlake Oaks and Carol Stephens of Henson, Idaho; sons, LeeRoy of San Jose, Lonnie of Roseville and Williams of Colorado Springs,  Colo.; brother, Edmond of Colorado Springs, Colo; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
