John Phillip Herman

There will be no formal services for John Phillip Herman, 59, of Suisun City. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Herman died on Nov. 8, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on Feb. 23, 1940, in San Diego, he lived in Solano County for 30 years, the past 20 in Suisun City. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired as a technical sergeant. While in the Air Force, he worked as a loadmaster for C-5 and C-141 aircraft. He then worked as a warehouseman for Robbins-Meyers for 14 years. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed golf.

Mr. Herman is survived by his wife, Mary R. of Suisun City; daughters and sons-in-law, Alicia and Kris Hauer of Parker,  Colo., Kelly and David Scheerer of San Bernardino, and Marion and Chris Ronk of Long Beach; son, Michael Herman of Walnut Creek; stepdaughter, Lynn Nash of Fairfield; stepsons, Michael Raiff of Vacaville and John Raiff of Fairfield; and brothers, Warren, Michael, and Doug, all of El Cajon. He also had 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 W.  Texas St., Fairfield, 94533.

Dorothy M. Stiles

There will be no formal services for Dorothy M. Stiles, 91, of Vacaville. Interment will be at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa.

Mrs. Stiles died on Nov. 9, 1999, in Laurel Creek at Paradise Valley after a long illness.

Born on March 1, 1908, in Lowell, Wis., she was a resident of Summerfield House in Vacaville. She lived in Napa with her husband, Eugene, and her sons. After her husband's death, she married Robert Stiles of Napa. She is best remembered for her strength and devotion to her family. She was an active craftswoman and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and loved to bake. She was also envied for her luck with Bingo and slot machines. Her smiles, laughter, and selflessness will be missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Stiles is survived by her son, Richard Gibson of Clearlake; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Maudine Gibson of Napa; stepson, John Stiles of Albuquerque, N.M.; and grandchildren, Dawn Isnor and Katie Gibson of Vacaville, Cindy Gibson of Sacramento, and Deanna and Michael Gibson of Napa. She also had eight great-grandchildren.

Santiago M. Veneracion

A Mass of Christian Burial for Santiago M. Veneracion, 81, of Suisun, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will officiate. Interment will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield, with a vigil at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Veneracion died on Nov. 9, 1999, at his son's home in Dixon after a long illness.

Born on July 25, 1918, in San Miguel, Bulacan, Philippines, he lived in Suisun for the past 19 years. He worked at the Sheraton Hotel for seven years.

Mr. Veneracion is survived by wife, Crispa of Suisun; daughters, Leticia Colobong of Fairfield, and Narcisa of Suisun; daughters and sons-in-law, Amor and Nelson Payawal of Fairfield, Priscilla and Rolando Guinto of Fairfield, and Leonora and Antonio Yambao of Antioch; and sons and daughters-in-law, Ponciano and Lourdes of Suisun, Manuel and Venus of Fairfield, and Edward and Abelladona of Dixon. He also had 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James Charlie Rhodes

A funeral for James Charlie Rhodes, 90, of Sacramento will be 2 p.m. Friday at East Lawn Mortuary in Sacramento. Interment will be at East Lawn Sierra Hills after the services. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Mr. Rhodes died on Nov. 5, 1999, in Sacramento.

Born on March 5, 1909, in Denton,  Texas, he lived in Sacramento before moving to Vacaville and Elmira area while working at California Medical Center. After retiring, he returned to Sacramento. He was a member of Fourteenth Avenue Baptist Church, Capital City Lodge, York Rite, Ben Ali Shrine and Temple Chapter 513 OES.

Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jewel; son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Carol; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Charlene and Andy Hunt and Sue Ellen and Ben Upton; great-grandchildren, Michael McKinley, Chelsea, Elizabeth, Charlie, and Mariah Hunt, and Carol, Emily and Steven DiDomenico; and sister, Ruby Boshear.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Vera Scilley and Amie Andersen; and brothers, Herman, Virgil, Travis and Hershel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, 95817.

Guadalupe Vazquez

Vigil service for Guadalupe Vazquez, 68, of Fairfield will be 6 p.m. Sunday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home during a visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral will take place in Union de Tula, Jalisco, Mexico.

Mrs. Vazquez died on Nov. 9, 1999, in Fairfield after a short illness.

Born on June 27, 1931, in Potrerillos, Jalisco, Mexico, she lived in Fairfield for the past two years. She was a housewife for 48 years and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She loved to sew and take walks, and she especially loved her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Vazquez is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ana and Raul Uribe of Dallas; sons and daughters-in-law, Roberto and Eliazer Garcia of Suisun, Arturo and Irma Garcia of Dallas, Adolfo and Livier Garcia of La Habra and Eduardo and Alice Garcia of Suisun. She also had seven brothers and sisters and seven grandchildren.

Lincoln L. Louthian

Private services will be held for Lincoln L. Louthian, 48, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Louthian died on Nov. 11, 1999, at his home in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on May 13, 1951, in San Francisco, he lived in Fairfield for the past 18 years. He was self-employed as a diesel mechanic for 25 years. He also was the owner-operator of Red's Truck Repair in Fairfield.

Mr. Louthian is survived by his wife, Susan of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Jose Colin of Suisun; sons, James and Robert, both of Fairfield; sister, Joanne Berry of San Francisco; and brothers, Robert Donaldson of Cameron Park and Rick Donaldson and Leslie Hooper, both of Fairfield.

Drusie Ann Robinson

A funeral for Drusie Ann Robinson, 86, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Suisun.

Pastor O.C. Cooper will officiate. Burial will be at Rockville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. Robinson died on Nov. 7, 1999, at her home in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on April 6, 1913, in Moro Bay, Ark., she lived in Fairfield for the past 10 years after having lived in East Palo Alto for 29 years. She was a homemaker all her life and was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and singing.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by her daughter, Johnnie J. Boyd of Fairfield; grandsons, Johnny Walton of East Palo Alto, Troy Henderson of East Palo Alto, Ronald Alexander of  Texas, Donald Poston of  Texas and Julius Lacy of Sacramento; and granddaughters, Debra Walton and Tudy Pringle, both of Fairfield. She also had 53 great-grandchildren and 69 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bernice Stitt, and her husband, the Rev. Lester L. Robinson.

Roy Lee Todd

A funeral with military graveside services was held at Ronan Cemetery for Roy Lee Todd, 90, of Thompson Falls, Mont. Pastor Gaylund Olson officiated.

Mr. Todd died Nov. 7, 1999, at Clark Fork Valley Hospital after a heart attack.

Born Dec. 7, 1908, at Berea, Ky., he resided in Montana for many years. He had joined the Navy at the start of World War II. He served in the Pacific in the Seabees, building bridges and other structures to help win the major battles of the war, including Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.

Following his honorary discharge in 1945, he returned to  Oklahoma and later moved to Spokane, Wash., where he worked as a carpenter and housing contractor. On Sept. 19, 1955, he married Mary Elizabeth Orr Baker in Spokane. The couple moved to Montana and owned and operated the It Gift Shop. He was a member of the Grange and also helped start the Thompson Falls Senior Citizens Center, of which he was an active member.

Mr. Todd is survived by his wife, Bessie of Thompson Falls, Mont.; sons, Leonard, Naymond and Robert, all of Okanogan, Wash., Gary of Vacaville and Roy of Antelope; daughters, Helen Onesky of Hartshorne Okla., and Leela Massey of Los Angeles; stepdaughter, Mary McCready of Ronan, Mont.; 24 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Ed; sister, Clara Truman; half-brothers, Victor, Roscoe and Frank Steele; and half-sister, Lona Wilson.

Arrangements were made by Coffelt-Bunch Funeral Home, Plains, Mont.

Ruth B. Beasley

Private services for Ruth B. Beasley, 84, of Fairfield will be at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. Entombment will be private at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mrs. Beasley died on Nov. 13, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield.

Born on Sept. 21, 1915, in Kincaid, Saskatchewan, Canada, she lived in Fairfield for the past 17 years after having resided in Vallejo. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's plumbing business for more than 10 years.

Mrs. Beasley is survived by her daughters, Carol Chadbourne of Fairfield and Marilyn McIntosh of Fairfield; sisters, Shirley Martinez of San Lorenzo and Muriel Williams of Oakland; and brothers, Leon Williams of Sacramento and Gene Williams of Vacaville. She also had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, in 1984.

Nicholas Michael Aiella Jr.

No funeral will be held for Nicholas Michael Aiella Jr., 46, of Fairfield, who died Nov. 14, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center following a long illness.

Inurnment will be private.

Born Oct. 12, 1953, in San Francisco, Mr. Aiella was a self-employed electrician for 26 years. He lived in Fairfield for 11 years.

Mr. Aiella is survived by his mother, Antea Aiella of Fairfield and his two brothers, Paul and Jon Aiella of Fairfield.

Arrangements are being made by the Fairfield Funeral Home.

Paulino Z. Alde

Memorial services are pending for Paulino Z. Alde, 69, of Fairfield.

Burial will be in the Iriga City Cemetery in Iriga City, the Philippines.

Mr. Alde died Nov. 13, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield following a short illness.

Born June 22, 1930, in the Philippines, Mr. Alde retired in 1994 after 20 years as an electronic technician from U.N.E.P.

He is survived by his wife, Lucila Alde of the Philippines; two daughters, Mildred Estrella of Saudi Arabia and Francia Kofroth of Maine; four sons, Leo Alde of Fairfield, Ulysses Alde of the Philippines, Marco Alde of the Philippines, and Paul Alde of Okinawa; two sisters, Erlinda Bernardez and Lydia Portugal, both of the Philippines; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being made by the Fairfield Funeral Home.

Lorraine Evelyn DeNicolai

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine Evelyn DeNicolai, 87, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Miss DeNicolai died on Nov. 11, 1999, at Laurel Creek Health Center in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on Dec. 18, 1911, in San Francisco, she lived in Vacaville for the past year after having lived in Berkeley for 60 years. She was a graduate of Lowell High School in San Francisco and of the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned her master's degree. She was a supervisor of work experience education for Oakland Public Schools at Berkeley University High School and retired after many years of devoted service to the youth in that area.

In honor of her brother and her parents, she made a gift of such generosity to the Alta Bates Burn Center that it has been renamed the DeNicolai Burn Center at Alta Bates Medical Center. She also made a generous gift to Summit Medical Center Foundation in Oakland.

Miss DeNicolai is survived by her cousins, Alfred and Jenny Falletti of Cotati; and goddaughter, Gloria Lewis and her husband Stan of Vacaville. She also had many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward, and her parents, Louis and Amelia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Appolinares Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen St., Napa, 94588; or spiritual bouquets may be sent to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1050 N.  Texas St., Fairfield, 94533.

Robert Earl Jones

A memorial service for Robert Earl Jones, 73, of Suisun City will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fairfield Funeral Home.

The Rev. Glen Green of the Community Church of God will officiate. Mr. Jones' ashes will be scattered at sea.

He died Nov. 13, 1999, at the Sierra Solano Care Center in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born July 16, 1926, in Flint, Mich., Mr.  Jones was a service manager at Summerfield Chevrolet for 40 years. He served on active duty in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1945.

Mr.  Jones is survived by his daughter, Sherry Lynn of Port Huron, Mich., and brother, Harold R.  Jones of Fairfield.
