Nick Michael Moiseff

No services will be held for Nick Michael Moiseff, 85, of Vacaville who died Nov. 13, 1999, at VacaValley Hospital following a long illness.

Inurnment will be private.

Born June 20, 1914, in Watts, Mr. Moiseff moved to the area 20 years ago. He worked for 25 years at Mare Island as a ship fitter. He also enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and loved dancing and gardening.

Mr. Moiseff is survived by his wife, Shirley Moiseff of Vacaville; brothers, John Moiseff of Phoenix, Ariz., and Michael Moiseff of San Francisco; sister, Hazel Shubin of Vacaville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Moiseff's name may be sent to the American Lung Association.

Arrangements are being made by the Vaca Hills Chapel.

Barbara Louise Patty

A memorial service for Barbara Louise Patty, 75, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home Chapel on West  Texas Street.

The Rev. Stan Anderson of the Church of Christ in Fairfield will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Patty died Nov. 12, 1999, in Fairfield following a short illness. She had resided in Fairfield for seven years.

Born April 12, 1924, in Fresno, she was a homemaker for 54 years.

Mrs. Patty is survived by her niece, Patricia Flournoy of Mariposa.

John Brydonne Cartwright

There will be no services held for John Brydonne Cartwright, 83, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Cartwright died on Nov. 13, 1999, at VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

Born on Sept. 25, 1916, in British Columbia, Canada, he moved to the area 10 years ago. He worked as an insurance manager with North American Life and Casualty for 30 years. He was an avid golfer and a member of the SIRS.

Mr. Cartwright is survived by his sons, Christopher of Yuba City and Brian of Los Angeles; daughter, Suzanne of  Washington, D.C.; adopted daughters, Melinda McLain of Paris, Ky. and Heather of Malden, Mass.; and grandchildren, Grant, Elliot, Bryce, Madeleine, Connor, Brooks and Courtney.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Charles E. Hollar

Memorial services for Charles E. Hollar, 83, of Statesboro, Ga., will be 11 a.m. today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Georgia. The Rev. Mark Louderbeck will officiate, assisted by Dr. John Bressler.

Mr. Hollar died on Nov. 14, 1999, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga.

Born on Sept. 5, 1916, in Hickory, N.C, he lived in Savannah for several years before moving to Statesboro 24 years ago. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 32 years and was then self-employed as a tax attorney for 21 years. He was a member of the Georgia Bar Association, treasurer of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He also was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Hollar is survived by his wife, Margaret Cleveland Hollar of Statesboro; daughter, Judith H. Stanfield of Vacaville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jane H. and Gerald Rainey of Savannah and Ann H. and Patton Douglas of Salem, Ala.; sisters, Lorena H. Klein of St. Louis and Charlene H. Buff and Clara H. Hefner, both of Hickory, N.C.; grandchildren, Scott T. Stanfield of Point Richmond, Leslie M. Houston of Sacramento, Paul W. Rainey of Thomasville, Ga., Margaret R. Douglass of Valdosta, Ga., Charles Leslie Douglas of Houston and Marianna C. Douglas of Salem, Ala.; and great-grandson, Benjamin Charles Stanfield of Point Richmond.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 18098 Georgia Highway 67 South, Statesboro, Ga., 30458.

Maria Delores Lopezde Lira

A funeral for Maria Delores Lopezde Lira, 88, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Maurice O'Brien will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home with a rosary at 6 p.m. Burial will be at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

Mrs. Lira died on Nov. 14, 1999, in Vacaville.

Born on Aug. 28, 1911, in Guanajuato, Mexico, she lived in Vacaville for the past 68 years. She worked as a fruit cutter for the Bownam Ranch for 20 years. She was also an active member in the Dixon Senior Center and the Dixon Grange.

Mrs. Lira is survived by her children, Antonio Lira of Huntington Beach and Isaura DeLina of Yuba City. She also had 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis, and her son, Rex.

Shayne Bernice Rickard

Memorial services for Shayne Bernice Rickard, 33, of Suisun City will be 1:30 p.m. today at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. Pastor Mike McCamey will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Rickard died on Nov. 14, 1999, in Suisun after a short illness.

Born on June 2, 1966, in Long Beach, she lived in Suisun for the past 15 months. She worked as a secretary for Kappel & Kappel Real Estate.

Mrs. Rickard is survived by her husband, Bryan S. of Suisun City; daughters, Kathryne and Kristyne of Suisun City; son, David of Suisun City; parents, Jack D. Sr. and Sandra McConnell of Buena Park; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Jacqueline McConnell of Buena Park and William and Glynda Rickard of La Palma; brother, Jack McConnell of Buena Park; and sister-in-law, Linda West of Roseville.

Lorraine C. Scott

A private memorial service for Lorraine C. Scott, 83, of Vacaville was held at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield on Tuesday. The Rev. Earle Gibbings officiated. Inurnment was private.

Mrs. Scott died on Nov. 13, 1999, at Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on March 24, 1916, in Sioux City, Iowa, she moved to Vacaville two years ago. She worked as a nurse for 10 years and traveled with her husband, who was a naval captain, for many years.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her brother, Charles L. Bushong of Fairfield.

Sharon Ann Wood

There will be no services for Sharon Ann Wood, 65, of Yuba City.

Mrs. Wood died on Nov. 12, 1999, in Vacaville.

Born on July 12, 1934, in Owatana, Minn., she worked as a banquet waitress at the Blue Dolphin in San Leandro before moving to Yuba City. She owned a 7-Eleven Foods Store in Yuba City and a deli in Auburn. She was a member of T.O.P.S. club and a Lady of the Moose in Yuba City. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her ex-husband, Richard B. of Marysville; sons, Ronald J. and family of Florida, Robert W. and family of Hayward and Richard C. and family of Vacaville; daughter, Terri L. of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society for metastasized liver research.

Michael Re'Charde Sre'Monte Burgos

Funeral services for Michael Re'Charde Sre'Monte Burgos, 19 days, of Fairfield, will be 11 a.m. today at Solano Valley Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Nathaniel Bragg will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Born Oct. 24, 1999, at Travis Air Force Base, Michael died Nov. 12, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield.

Michael is survived by his mother, Rosa of Fairfield; father, Terrance Green of Fairfield; sister, Erika Harrison of Fairfield; uncles, Danny Richardson of Fresno, Cornelius and Avery Loring of Fresno and David Green of Fresno; aunt, Michelle of Fairfield; and grandparents, Kyung and Ramon of Fairfield, David Lucas of Fairfield and Betty Montaldo of Fresno.

Lt. Col. George Walter Janovitz

A funeral with full military honors for Lt. Col. George Walter Janovitz, 81, of Fairfield will be 9 a.m. Friday at Chapel Center on Travis Air Force Base. Chaplain Lt. Col. Aaron  Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville.

Lt. Col. Janovitz died on Nov. 14, 1999, in Fairfield after a long illness.

Born on Aug. 18, 1918, in Hillside, N.J., he lived in Fairfield for more than 30 years. A member of the first jet squadron formed in the United States, he flew air cover for Gen. George Patton into Paris and was decorated with the Air Medal symbolized by 15 oakleaf clusters. He also received the Croix de Guerre from France and Belgium for his accomplishments in the Battle of the Bulge. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He also held a degree in business administration and real estate. He was a very active member in Shriners, Quiet Birdman, Medallions, Masonic Lodge 134 of Vacaville and the Retired Officers Association.

Lt. Col. Janovitz is survived by his wife of 52 years, Toni of Fairfield; sister, Judy Bannon of Whiting, N.J.; and niece, Carol Miller-Tirjesen of New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children, Northern California Unit, P.O. Box 21-4477, Sacramento, 95821-0477.

Harold David Pheatt

Memorial services for Harold David Pheatt, 81, of Fairfield will be noon Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Fairfield. Inurnment will be private.

Mr. Pheatt died on Nov. 16, 1999, at his home in Fairfield.

Born on July 28, 1918, in Cleveland, Mich., he lived in Solano County for the past 59 years. He worked as chief aviation machinist for civil service at Travis Air Force Base for 32 years before retiring. A veteran of World War II, he received a Purple Heart and four bronze stars during the battle of Guadalcanal. He was a member of American Legion No. 104, Fleet Reserve Unit 8 and was a Boy Scout leader for 30 years. He also received the Pope Pius Award for work with the CCD St. Vincents Church in Vallejo.

Mr. Pheatt is survived by his wife, Gladys of Fairfield; daughters, Cindy Lee and Toni Mortellard, both of Fairfield; sons, Gary of Vallejo, Mark of Elverta and Chris of Jacksonville, Ark.; sister, Alice Dunlap of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and brothers, Robert of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Burton of Mesa, Ariz. He also had 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Edgar Amado

A funeral for Edgar Amado, 29, of Vallejo will be 11 a.m. today at Solano Valley Mortuary. Entombment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m. today at the mortuary.

Mr. Amado died on Nov. 14, 1999, at NorthBay Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born on May 11, 1970, in Guatemala, he lived in Vallejo for 20 years.

Mr. Amado is survived by his girlfriend, Brandi Parker of Fairfield; daughters, Marilyn and Jeanette of Fairfield; son, Ryan Edgar of Fairfield; parents, Edgar and Araceli of Vallejo; sister, Monica Heidy Rita of Vallejo; and brother, Efrain of Fairfield.

Florence K. Hensley

A memorial Mass for Florence K. Hensley, 84, of Suisun will be 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield.

The Rev. Luciano Valenzuela will officiate. A private family graveside service will be held Saturday at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Santa Rosa.

Mrs. Hensley died on Nov. 17, 1999, at her home in Suisun City in the company of her family after a short illness.

Born on April 8, 1915, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., she lived in Suisun for one month after having lived in Santa Rosa for two years.

She was a homemaker for 59 years and was a resident of Northern California for 50 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mill Valley, St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Novato, and St. Rose Catholic Church in Santa Rosa.

She enjoyed golfing and bridge in her later years, participating as a member of the Marin Golf & Country Club. She traveled throughout the world with her husband, Edgar, from the Far East to Poland.

Mrs. Hensley is survived by her daughters, Deanne Ikard of Suisun City and Mary of Reno; sons, Paul of San Bruno and Larry of Folsom; sister, Bernadine Wollweber of Los Angeles; and brother, Paul Kamont of  Pennsylvania. She also leaves seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband earlier this year.

Annie Molina

A Catholic Prayer Service for Annie Molina, 84, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Monday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

The Rev. Benedict DeLeon will officiate. Interment will follow at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Molina died on Nov. 18, 1999, at Sunbridge Care Center in Vallejo after a long illness.

Born on Aug. 29, 1915, she lived in Vacaville all her life. She was a cannery worker for Basic Vegetable for 30 years.

Mrs. Molina is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lynda, and Gil and Linda, all of Vacaville; son, Rick of Vacaville; grandchildren, John Jr., Katie, Michael, Ricky and Anna, all of Vacaville, and Stephanie and Jennie Muller, both of Vacaville; and grandson, Shane Rodriguez.
