Jane Barker

Funeral services for Jane Barker, 80, of Fairfield, will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Fairfield's Trinity Lutheran Church.

Pastor Martin Bergstrom will preside. Interment will be in the Suisun Fairfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Barker died Aug. 30, 2000, in NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

Born June 3, 1920, in St. Louis, Mo., she lived in Fairfield for 39 years. During the World War II era, Jane sang with the Ted Weims Band for a period of time. She was a professional singer for more than eight years.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church for the past 25 years, Society of Military Widows, TROA, and 'The Dulcetones,' a group she sang with for 15 years.

Mrs. Barker is survived by her god-daughter, Kristie Berger of Scottsdale, Ariz.; foster son, James Suh of Torrence; dearest friends, Andy and Beth Canova of Fairfield; and a host of other friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Caleb Barker in 1974.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church School, 2075 Dover Ave., Fairfield, 94533.

James L. Goode

A Service of Remembrance to celebrate the life of James L. Goode Sr., 71, of Vacaville was conducted Friday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home. The Rev. William Feeser officiated. Interment was private at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mr. Goode died Aug. 30, 2000, at his home in Vacaville after a long illness.

Born Nov. 7, 1928, in Lake Charles, La., he lived in Vacaville for the past 25 years. He had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years before retiring.

Mr. Goode is survived by his wife of 35 years, Maria of Vacaville; and children, James L. Jr. of Dixon, Terry of Vallejo, Thomas Andrew of Vacaville, and Barbara Ann of Vacaville. He also has three grandchildren.

Connie Gomez

A funeral for Connie Gomez, 72, of Davis will begin 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peters Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial will follow at Silveyville Cemetery.

Mrs. Gomez died Sept. 1, 2000, at Sutter Davis Hospital.

Born June 8, 1928, in Mendota, she has lived in Davis since 1989 and was a resident of Dixon for more than 20 years before then.

She enjoyed cooking and, most of all, being with her family.

Mrs. Gomez is survived by her husband, Arthur of Davis; sons and daughters-in-law, Toodie and Gina of Dixon, Leonard J. and Janice of San Jose, and Steve and Pam of Woodland; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nathan, Joseph, John, Jeremy, Veronica, Jessica, Tayran and Eric;; great-grandchild, Micah; sisters, Nellie Vigil of Firebaugh, Hope Trujillo of Merced, Vicki Tenori of Mountain View, Angie Madrid of Los Angeles, Delores Gill of Firebaugh and Josie Mendoza of Farmsville; and brothers, Anselmo Gill of Firebaugh, Ben Gill of Patterson, John Gill of Los Angeles, Robert Gill of Milpitas, Richard Gill of Madera and Tommy Gill of Arizona.

Arrangements are being handled by Chapel of the Valley in Roseville.

Terri Lynn Tamplen-Peters

A funeral for Terri Lynn Tamplen-Peters, 29, will begin 2 p.m. Friday at Inter-Mountain Evangelical Free Church in McArthur.

Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Tamplen-Peters died suddenly Aug. 31, 2000.

Born March 16, 1971, in Davis, she was a resident of Dixon, attending Dixon schools before having moved to Shasta County two years ago.

Mrs. Tamplen-Peters is survived by her children, Quinsea, Michael and Baylie; parents, Beverly and JB Tamplen of McArthur; brother, Jeffrey Tamplen of McArthur; and grandparents, James and Letha Bounds of Dixon, and Bea and Jim Myers of Big Valley.

Arrangements are being handled by Chapel of the Valley in Roseville.

James L. Goode

Artimease Cameron

A funeral for Artimease Cameron, 79, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield. Dr. Claybon Lea Jr. will officiate. Interment will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. Cameron died Sept. 1, 2000, at her home in Fairfield after a brief illness.

Born Nov. 4, 1920, in Duncan, Miss., she lived in Fairfield for the past 40 years. She graduated from Duncan High School in Mississippi before meeting her husband. She was a homemaker for 49 years.

She became a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in 1988, where she worshipped under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus Claybon Lea and Dr. Claybon Lea Jr. She was a loving and kind woman and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Cameron is survived by her nephews, Floyd Smith of Wisconsin and Ernest Smith of Mississippi; nieces, Helen Thomas of Chicago and Derotha Briggs of Chicago; godchildren, Glenda Watkins of Florida, Rita Alexander of Fairfield, William McIntosh of Sacramento, Benny McIntosh of Fairfield, Anna Wilder of Ohio and Constance Gibbs of Vacaville; and loving caregiver, Mary Harris of Fairfield. She also has a host of grand and great-grand nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Nezer; her parents, Lucy and Wilson Smith; four brothers and a sister.

Joseph William Doherty

A Catholic Prayer Service for Joseph William Doherty, 80, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Friday at Nadeau Family Funeral Home. Rev. Vincent O'Reilly will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.

Mr. Doherty died Sept. 3, 2000, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo after a long illness.

Born March 18, 1920, in Scott County, Minn., he lived in Fairfield for the past 40 years. He served in the military during World War II in the 8th Air Force, which took him to England. He was extremely proud of the fact that his bomb group (the 95th) was the first to drop bombs on Berlin. He also fought in the Korean War. His many decorations include the Victoria Cross, Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

Locally, he was involved in civic affairs, including serving on Fairfield's 20/20 Vision Committee. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for Title Insurance and Trust Company. He was an avid sports fan and played Class AAA baseball prior to World War II on a team coached by Casey Stengel.

Mr. Doherty is survived by his wife of 50 years, Edna of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Jacquelyn and Cliff Kinzy of Singletown, and Patricia and Antonio Ovalle of Vacaville; granddaughters, Diana Ovalle of Vacaville and Melody Roberts of Kenmore, Wash.; and sisters, Florence Mickus, Teresa Neutgens and Valeria Dummer, all of Minnesota, Veronica Gilkey of Vallejo, and Emily Reitz of Seattle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to David E. Dorsey, 95th Bomb Group, 125 Clark St., Clarks Green, PA 18411-1275.

Donald F. Kramer

A funeral for Donald F. Kramer, 71, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Fairfield. Chaplain Don Burnett of Travis Air Force Base will officiate. Burial will be at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery.

Mr. Kramer died Sept. 2, 2000, at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base.

Born Aug. 14, 1929, in Cincinnati, he worked as an administrative assistant in civil service. He also served as a volunteer at David Grant Medical Center and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Kramer is survived by his daughters, Mary Soldati of Vacaville, Donna Viles of Ventura, Joanne Lindgren of New Mexico and Julie Saabye of Fairfield; and son, Tim of Washington. He also has 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by Fairfield Funeral Home.

Robert Stanley White

A Celebration of Life for Robert Stanley White, 67, of Dixon will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Milton Carpenter Funeral Home. Ken Harris will officiate. Interment will be at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. White died Sept. 4, 2000, in Davis after losing his battle with lung cancer.

Born Dec. 13, 1932, in Chicago, he lived in Dixon for the past six years. He served in the Korean War and worked 31 years for Southern California Edison. He was an avid lover of street rods, bluegrass music, travelling and his family.

Mr. White is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorthy of Dixon; sons and daughters-in-law, Dana and Cindy of Vacaville, and Craig and Jessica of Dixon; grandchildren, Corey and Leanne of Vacaville, and Valerie of Dixon; sister, Lyn Howley of Oceanside; and sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Al Novacek of Santa Monica.

Lori Lynn McKay

A family service for Lori Lynn McKay, 43, of Orland will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Dixon. Burial will be at Silveyville Cemetery in Dixon.

Ms. McKay died Aug. 31, 2000, at her home in Orland.

Born Aug. 16, 1957, in Sacramento, she was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and beading.

Ms. McKay is survived by her daughters, Charlotte and Erica of Orland; a sister, Gina Greco-Finlay of Dixon; a son, Harry Jr. of San Diego; and brothers, Jim Corcoran of West Sacramento, Tim Corcoran of Orland, and Mike Corcoran of Dixon.

Arrangements are by F.D. Sweet & Son of Orland.

Carl D. Reynolds

At the request of the family, a service for Carl D. Reynolds, 69, of Fairfield will be private. Inurnment will be private in Oakhurst.

Mr. Reynolds died Sept. 2, 2000, in Fairfield after a short illness.

Born March 13, 1931, in California, he lived in Fairfield for the past two months. He worked as a plant superintendent for U.S. Steel Co. for 30 years. He loved his family and gardening.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his sons, Frank of Suisun, and David of San Diego; and daughters, Carol Barnes of Buena Park, and Jackie Anderson of Phoenix. He also has eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Chester E. 'Robbie' Robbins

A memorial service for Chester E. "Robbie" Robbins, 81, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Monday at Fairmont Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Robbins died Sept. 3, 2000, in Fairfield.

Born Jan. 20, 1919, in Monroe City, Mo., he lived in Fairfield for the past 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving more than 20 years as a medical maintenance repairman. He worked another 10 years at the same job as a civilian. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a paratrooper. He loved tinkering around the house.

Mr. Robbins is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and William Groody of Kelseyville; a daughter, Bonnie J. of Davis; a granddaughter, Alexandra Hoff of Davis; and a sister, Norma Whitehead of Kahoka, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1652 W. Texas St., Suite 110, Fairfield, 94533, or the Cancer and Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St., Suite 4, Fairfield, 94533.

Alden F. Munter

A memorial service for Alden F. Munter, 96, of Vallejo will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Paradise Valley Estates in Fairfield. Inurnment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Colma.

Mr. Munter died Sept. 6, 2000, at Laurel Creek Health Center in Fairfield.

Born May 28, 1904, in Hillsboro, N.D., he lived in Vallejo for the past 20 years. He was self employed in entertainment services for 50 years before retiring in 1972. He arrived in the Bay Area in 1924 and had lived in Daly City and Vallejo. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 468 in Vallejo and was active in Duplicate Bridge, bowling and golf.

Mr. Munter is survived by his wife, Bernice of Fairfield; stepdaughters, Larry Jones of Winton and Rod Jones of Kalispell, Mont.; niece, Susan Moss of Los Altos; and nephews, Don Wall of San Rafael. He also has 10 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Children of Mooseheart, Moose Inc., Finance Dept., Mooseheart, IL 60539-1173.
