E. JOHN ALLISON E. John Allison, aged 71, after a long illness passed peacefully away on November 6, 2004 at Westside Care home in Westbank, B.C. John was born
in Bournemouth, England, moving to Canada in 1955. A Captain in the Air Force, John retired in 1988 in Winnipeg, MB, and moved to B.C. this past February. John was a responsible and intelligent man and will be remembered by his wife Poppy; daughter Trish Allison-Simms and her daughter Laura in Winnipeg; daughter Linda Nicol, her husband Steve, and their sons, Brian and Eric, and daughter Stevie, all currently stationed in Italy; son Steve, his wife Cheryl and their daughter Taylor and son Jordan in Peachland, B.C.; Poppy's daughter Jude Davies, her husband Brian Hyska and his sons, Cole and Landan in Winnipeg and Reg, Kevin and Ali in England. Cremation has taken place and a gathering to remember John's life will take place on November 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Arbor Westwood Funeral Chapel in Westbank, B.C.

VIOLET MARJORIE ANDERSON July 21, 1916 - October 13, 2004. Survived by niece Catherine Anderson Frumkin and her husband Robert Frumkin of Los Angeles; sister-in-law Louise Isaacs Anderson Bilman and her husband Jozef Bilman of Los Angeles; nephew David Storm and wife Heather and great-nephews, Ross and Alex and great-niece Emily of Winnipeg. Predeceased by her father Joseph Anderson, mother Mary Jane Ellis Anderson, brother Joseph Robert Francis Anderson and her beloved dogs, Tony, Kelly and Barney. Violet was born
in Port-A-Down, Ireland and moved with her parents to Winnipeg when she was 10 years old. Her father built a house in the Norwood area of Winnipeg and Violet lived in that house for 69 years. Violet worked in the insurance industry and completed her business career with the Monarch Life Company. Violet was a lifelong animal lover, loved hockey and was an active member of St. Phillips Anglican Church and the Norwood Rebekah's Lodge, where she leaves many friends. She loved to laugh and had a wicked sense of humour. The family would like to extend thanks to all the staff at Oakview Place, one east, where Violet had been a resident for the past three years. The care she received was always the best. Services will be held at St. John's Cathedral, 135 Anderson Ave., on Saturday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m. with The Rev. Brian Flower presiding. Interment will be in the Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Winnipeg Humane Society. HELEN CATHERINE BADGER Helen Catherine Badger's dance with life came to an end with family by her side, on Thursday, October 28, 2004. She is survived by three daughters and their families. Martha and Richard Sawchuk with Jamie, Linda, Laura and Ashley and Paul, Margaret, Iris and Joe. Cathy and Bill Gordon with Tim and Dan. Ruth and Phil Cowan with Matthew and Kelly. Also dear to Helen were Gerry Major, Doree Greaves, and Marian Mathews and our large extended family. Helen was predeceased by her cherished husband Harry Badger and infant son; her parents Marian Elizabeth and John Robert Major; her siblings, Ian, Margaret, Ruth, Jean, Charlie and Gordon and her granddaughter Leah Gordon. Helen was always open to new ideas and challenging theology, which led her to achieve her Bachelor of Arts degree at the age of 65. Mom also enjoyed volunteering and mentoring women and was President of the Board of the Winnipeg YWCA and also the Manitoba Board of CGIT. Helen enjoyed her participation with the ex-Oxford lunch group, Celebration worship at Westminister, and the Re-Imagining community which sustained her spirituality. Art was Helen's special gift to others, in her knitting, sewing and quilting. In the last two years she chose to enjoy and to participate in the life of the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. We are most thankful for the care we received from the Golden Door. A time of Celebration of her Life is planned for Saturday, November 13 at 3:00 p.m. at Immanuel United Church, 755 Golspie. DAVID EARL BELLAN After a lengthy illness, David Earl Bellan, beloved son of Dr. Samuel and Mrs. Marjorie Bellan passed away November 5, 2004 in Vancouver, BC. David is survived by his sister, Loralie Bellan, brother Murray Bellan and sister-in-law Robyn Zimberg, brother Jerry Bellan and sister-in-law Rhonda Hart-Bellan all of Winnipeg and his brother Phillip and sister-in-law Debra Bellan of Houston, Texas. He will be greatly missed by his American niece and nephews, Marnie, Jamey and Lane Bellan of Houston, Texas, and his Winnipeg nephews, Michael, Isaac and Joshua Bellan as well as his many friends and relatives. David was born
August 15, 1958 in Winnipeg, MB. He attended his early grades at Joseph Wolensky School and received degrees in Art and Education from the University of Manitoba. He had a deep interest and love of music, played professionally and taught classical guitar at Yamaha. He moved to Vancouver to teach music in elementary school. David was adored by his young pupils for his enthusiasm and musicianship. He was a sincere, generous, kind-hearted young man, well beloved by all who were fortunate to meet him. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and family in Winnipeg and Vancouver. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent medical care given by Dr. Karon and Dr. Roger Shick of Vancouver and by the medical staff of St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver. Funeral services were held grave-side November 9 at Rosh Pina Cemetery where David was laid to rest in the family plot. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation in David's name to a charity of choice.

ALLAN SHELDON BOGOCH We are sad to announce that Allan Bogoch has died at home at the age of 56. Allan was born
and educated in Winnipeg and was a longtime member of the downtown business community. He was honest, intelligent and kind. Allan was predeceased by his parents Rose and Nathan. He will be missed by his many friends including Heather Henderson and her daughter Bonnie and by his family, sisters, Carol Naiman, Barbara Bogoch and Eloise Bogoch; aunts, Elizabeth Posen and Sandra Brodsky; cousins, nieces and nephews. Allan's granddaughter Madeline and his daughters, Jennifer, Emily and Anna loved him very much. They and their mother Sheila will miss him and remember him fondly. PHIL DESAULNIERS On Tuesday, November 9, 2004, following a courageous battle our beloved Phil passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 51. Born in Winnipeg, he was the son of the late Paul and Marguerite Desaulniers. Leaving to mourn his memory the love of his life, wife Susan (Green), children, Michael, Monique, James and granddaughter Domonique; sister Paulette; brother Donald (Ji-Ann) and his pal Rascal; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special friends, Mike (Anita), Schnerchie and Linda Walker. Phil was employed as a District Manager for the Free Press for 30 years. One of his passions was his collection of numerous frogs. He enjoyed bowling, weekends at the cottage and playing with his granddaughter Domo. On behalf of Phil, his family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to staff of Riverview Health Centre 3E, Dr. Garcia, the wonderful nurses and health care aides and especially Evelyn. They all thought of Phil as their special patient. Words cannot express how they have taken care of Phil and family. Phil will be greatly missed by all of us. ALICE FABBRI (NEWHOUSE) February 3, 1919 - November 8, 2004 After a life well lived, Alice Fabbri passed away peacefully on November 8, 2004, at the age of 85, with her family at her side. Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Marlene and Gayle; son Robert; daughter-in-law Donna; grandchildren, Brian, Roberta, Kris, Michael and Terilyn. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Bert, who passed away July 29, 1993 and granddaughter Teresa Carolyn Boychuk, on April 19, 1987. She will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives. Alice was an active participant in several organizations dear to her. From early in her adult life until recently, she was a member in U.C.W. groups, first at Point Douglas United and then at Grey Street United Church. In 1960, Alice started a youth bowling program for intellectually challenged children, and continued to organize and operate the program until recently. As a legacy to her, the All Stars Bowling League continues to operate to this day. Our mother was a source of strength in the lives of her three children. In particular, she cared for her special needs daughter for 58 years, until Marlene moved to her new group home in 2001. As a caring and supportive grandmother, she loved her five grandchildren and always made sure she treated them equally. In addition, she welcomed into her home Donna's immediate family, and enjoyed her time with great-grandchildren from her extended family. Alice had an amazing knack for remembering birthdays and anniversaries for family and friends. Until just recently, her card writing was well renowned within the family. When it was necessary to make changes at different stages in her life, she always tried to make the best of everything. As a resident at Concordia Place, compassionate and supportive staff made her feel at home and comfortable. Her family is so thankful to the many friends and family who visited with Alice during the past two years, in particular, her sisters-in-law, Jean Buccini and Mary Newhouse, along with her brother Fred Newhouse. GLEN EDGAR FROST It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Edgar Frost on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at the age of 39 years. He will be sadly missed by his beloved parents, Charles and Dairdrie Frost; daughter Shailee (Shannon and stepson Bryce); his two sisters, Audrey Laye and Dairdrie Ludwick; four brothers, Gary (Connie), Gerald, George and Geoffrey (Jade); his 17 nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; his Godchildren, Lyric Laye and Nancy Goetz; Godfather Dale Pruden; Godmother Aunt Hazel Isfeld and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Glen was greeted at the gates of Heaven by his nephew and Godson Adam Fontaine; brother-in-law Gary Ludwick; brother Harold and his grandparents. He will also be reunited with his "loyal companion" Deuce. Glen, the youngest of eight children, was born
July 15, 1965. He attended Ruth Hooker School, Selkirk Junior High and "The Comp". He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Celebrating with them on special occasions was important to him. Glen was dedicated to his mother and helping her with the family home. He was outgoing, kind-hearted and always willing to lend a hand. Glen was talented at drawing and had a passion for music. He was self-taught on the guitar and drums. Around 1986, he began jamming in the garage on Superior Avenue with the boys (Rod, Dennis, Garrett, Carson, Laurie and Wes). He played in many bands, which included Slash Hazzard and Eat M and Smile. The past year Glen attended Teen Challenge where he reached out to the Lord. He was working hard at making a better life for himself and his daughter. We will miss his funny noises, along with the teasing, and especially his infectious smile. His quiet and gentle demeanour will always be lovingly remembered. We will cherish his memory forever! Our family would like to express our gratitude to Rolland Fontaine for praying with Glen in the last minutes of his life, and to our relatives and many friends for your love and support during this very sad time. MARY MARJORIE KING GRAHAM (nee LANIGAN) Passed away peacefully on November 8, 2004. Marj was pre-deceased by her husband Joe King and second husband Gordon Graham. She leaves her three daughters, Doreen Weitzel, Dulcie and husband Gordon Stein, and Donna Dow; as well as nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild of whom she was very proud. Marj was a long-time resident of Transcona where she raised her family. As a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, it was her desire to share these words: We'll meet again, ...don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to staff at Concordia Place, where she has resided for the past four and one-half years. At her request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. RAELEEN AGNES KULBA (nee PURDY) Peacefully on November 9, 2004, Raeleen passed away leaving behind those who loved her, those who admired her and many people whose hearts she touched. Born May 20, 1922 in Kinistino, SK. to William and Agnes, she attended grades 1-12 and then attended Normal School in Winnipeg in 1941, followed by six years of teaching in rural Manitoba. Following that she had an illustrious teaching career with the Winnipeg School Division. Retiring in 1982, receiving The Distinguished Service Award for teaching excellence and her involvement and contribution to education, which was one of the highlights of her career. Rae was active in the United Church, Delta Kappa Gamma Society and Winnipeg Teachers Association. She and her husband Steven retired to Vancouver for 13 years until his death, at which time she moved to Calgary to be closer to her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Steven; her parents; sisters, Violet, Myrtle and brother Glen. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Fraser, wife Frances; daughter Kim, husband Morley and daughter Debra; her grandchildren, Matthew, Mia, Lauren and Molly, who will miss her very much. Rae made friends very easily and made a significant impact on anyone she came in contact with, including the hundreds of children she taught and nurtured during her teaching career in an unforgettable way. Her legacy is her love, caring, compassion and unwavering support to anyone who needed it, even when she may have needed it more. Her family whom she loved unconditionally was the greatest benefactor of her unselfishness. Her memory will be cherished; she will be missed and always loved. January 23, 1944 in Winnipeg where he spent most of his life and married
his beloved Judy. His son Andy was born
in 1979. He worked as a civilian in the Department of National Defence in the roads and grounds department. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially golf and gardening. He also shared a special connection with animals. Bob was a true sportsman. The virtues he taught in sport, honesty, integrity, hard work and fair play were exemplified by him in his daily life.
