McNEILL - Neil Gordon McNeill of Strathmore, AB, passed away after a long illness at the Foothills Hospital on May 9, 2000. Neil was born icon on December 2, 1934 in Empress, AB, and is the youngest son of Neil and Lillian McNeill. Moved to Calgary in 1948 and attended school there. He worked with his own trucking company until joining The City of Calgary in 1967 as a heavy equipment operator for the Plant and Engineering until his retirement in 1993. Neil was married icon in Calgary in 1959, then moved to Strathmore in 1972. He is survived by his wife Verna (Hoover), Strathmore; his son Brent (Chris), Strathmore; his daughter Terry (Todd) Drake, Calgary; sister Helen (Howard) Hoover, Delia; as well as many nieces and nephews. Neil was predeceased by his father Neil in 1970, his mother Lillian in 1992, and a brother Don in 1992. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his constant devoted companion Sam. Memorial Services will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, May 13, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neil's name may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation (1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 3Y6), The Kidney Foundation of Canada (6007 - 1A Street S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 0G5) or The Canadian Diabetes. McROBERTS - William Cowan McRoberts, beloved husband of Mrs. Gwen McRoberts of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Carewest George Boyack on May 7, 2000, at the age of 87 years. Bill was born icon on January 28, 1913, in Stevenston, Scotland, and immigrated to Canada with his parents in 1926. He attended Western Canada High School and Normal School in Calgary. He then taught at Beaver Flats and Victoria School in Calgary. He was married icon on July 13, 1940 to Gwenyth Morgan. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II as a navigation instructor at Niobe, Scotland. After the war he completed his BA and MEd at the University of Alberta. He was the principal at Currie School, Elboya School and finally A.E. Cross Junior High School. After retirement, he was active in the Naval Officers Association, Alberta Retired Teachers Association and Masonic Lodge. Besides his loving wife Gwen, Bill is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margot and Theo Thirsk of Kelsey, Alberta; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Russell (Beckett), Lorraine and Kimberley; great-granddaughter Sydney. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Jessie, brothers, Bob, Jack, Tom, Harry and sister Elizabeth. MILLER - David Glen Miller passed away peacefully at the age of 32 years on May 2, 2000 at his home in Redwood Meadows. He is survived by his many friends. MITCHELL - Constance "Connie" Patricia Mitchell (nee Liversidge) of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 4, 2000 at the age of 68 years. Predeceased by her parents and loving husband Richard Gary "Mitch" Mitchell in 1983, Connie is sadly missed by her loving children, son Charles (Bernadette) Porlier of Vancouver; stepsons, Richard "Rick" Mitchell and Don Mitchell, both of Calgary; and stepdaughter Carolyn (Scott) Waller of Tennessee; her loving sister June (Jim) Taylor of Oregon; and her loving brother Victor "Bud" Liversidge of Edmonton; and by her grandchildren, Sebastien and Brielle Porlier, and Carly Waller. Her memory will also be cherished by many family and friends throughout Calgary and Alberta. Born in Lethbridge on July 15, 1931 to Hazel (nee Dalquist) and Victor "Vic" Liversidge, Connie grew up in the Victoria Park area and proudly continued to reside in Calgary for the rest of her life. Connie graduated from Western Canada High School, then attended business college, where she became a bookkeeper. Connie eventually worked with many firms in Calgary, including Swifts Premium and Charter Towers. Loving her family above all, Connie was always a generous, giving and wise mother, and a counselor to her children. Having a razor wit, and never one to shy from a good debate, she enjoyed community politics and also participated as a volunteer in many political campaigns at the provincial and federal levels. Connie also taught remedial reading as a volunteer, and served as the president of the Sunnyside P.T.A. Bridge and bingo were also her passions. A celebration of Connie's life will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dr. David Vincent of St. Giles Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow the Service at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. MITCHELL - Gordon Leigh Mitchell of Fort Macleod passed away on April 14, 2000 in Lethbridge after a brief illness. Gordon was born icon on February 21, 1930 in Red Deer. He moved to Nordegg in 1942 where his father John Mitchell owned and operated a butcher shop and was also in the coal trucking business. Gordon and Lorraine were married icon in 1951 and resided in Nordegg for three years. They had four children, Lianne, Gordon, Kevin and Mark Mitchell. Lorraine was remarried in 1985 to Elmar Heinpalu. Gordon and Lorraine remained close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Winnifred Mitchell in 1955 after a tragic highway accident. John and Winnifred were wonderful parents and grandparents. Gordon's sister Audrey passed away in 1986 which was another tragedy. We hope they are all together again in heaven. We love you, Lorraine, children and grandchildren.

MOULSON - Mary Moulson of High River, AB, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 7, 2000. Mary was born icon February 26, 1915, in Vancouver, BC. She grew up in Maycroft where she developed her love for horses and the outdoors. While working on ranches in the Longview area, she met and married icon her husband Slim. They raised their children in Longview, later moving to Calgary. She spent her recent years in High River where she could be closer to her family. She was predeceased by her infant son Jerry, her husband Slim, and her loving mother and father. Mary was suddenly taken with her daughter Anne, her son-in-law Ken, and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Silka. She is survdived by her daughter Betty (David Cox) of High River; son Bill of Holden; and son Tom (Monica) of Maycroft; sisters, Susan Wilson, Katie Butler, and Pat (Ronald) Nelson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Mary's name directly to S.T.A.R.S. or any other charity of your choice. The Funeral will be at TransAlta Distribution Centre in High River at the corner of 12 Avenue s.E. and Highway 2A at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11. MURPHY - Mabel Margaret Murphy (nee Evans) of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Rockyview Hospital on Sunday, May 7, 2000, after a short illness at the age of 90 years, a week prior to celebrating her 91st birthday. Mabel was born icon in Agra, India, on May 13, 1909. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mabel will be sadly missed by her son John Bede of Calgary; four grandchildren, Victor Bede and Hazel (Ronan) Quigley, all of London, England, Dr. Jacqueline Bede (Jeff Griese) of Toronto and Robert Bede of Calgary; three great-grandchildren, Grace and Adrian Quigley and Spencer Griese; a brother Alex (Jean) Evans; as well as nieces and nephews in England. She was predeceased by her youngest son Arnold (Tony) Bede. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church (5340 - 4 Street S.W.), on Friday, May 12, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. J.P. Dowling, Celebrant. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. NICHOLS - Anne Nichols of High River, Alberta, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 7, 2000. She will be sadly missed as a mother, grannie, sister, auntie, cousin and friend. She was born icon Dorothy Anne Moulson, October 18, 1943 in High River. She lived in Longview, Maycroft and Calgary with her sister and two brothers. She was married icon to Ken Nichols in 1961 and they raised four children in Calgary and Parkland. Anne loved children and was considered "mother" by many. Anne and Ken worked and lived all over the world finally settling near their grandchildren in High River. Anne was a passionate gardener and seamstress, full of life and kindness. She was suddenly taken with her husband Ken, her mother Mary, and her beloved grandchildren, Tyler and Silka. She is survived by her children, Ken and Geralyn of High River, Rob and Erika of Reno, Nevada, Heather and Wayne of Nanton, Mary-Sue and Brent of Calgary; grandchildren, Alicia, Cody, Laranda and Jordon; siblings, Bill, Tom and Monica, and Betty and David; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. SPRINGBORN - Rosemarie Springborn of Calgary, died suddenly on May 6, 2000, while visiting relatives and friends in Germany. Rosemarie grew up in East Prussia, and came to Canada in 1959. She settled in Calgary, became a Canadian citizen and was proud to call the new city her home. Rosemarie was well-liked by the many people she touched in her charitable work, her social activities, her day to day life and her career at the bank. Her sunny disposition, common sense and courage will be sadly missed. Rosemarie is lovingly remembered by her three children and the young people she had adopted into the extended family group. SUITOR - Jean Lolita (Nee Black) Jean died peacefully at the Allen Gray Continuing Care Centre in Edmonton on Sunday, May 7, 2000. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ann and Charles Grant, Patricia and Peter Ward, Robert and Marnie Suitor; grandchildren, Catherine, Alison and Allan Grant, Kathryn and Anna Ward, Jane and Gerry McDade, Warren Suitor. Also mourning are Barbara Suitor, Nicki and Lindsay Moon. Jean was predeceased by her husband Warren in May 1993. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, 11111 - 57 Avenue, Edmonton, on Thursday, May 11, at 12:00 noon, reception to follow. UNTEREINER - Katie After a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, May 7, 2000, Katie attained her angel status at the age of 14. She is survived by her loving parents, Bob and Barb of Edmonton; grandparents, Bob and Terry Bacho of Edmonton, and Jim and Ruth Cherry of Westbank, B.C.; aunts and uncles, Dianne (Myron) Wells, Margaret Bacho, Mike Untereiner, Ray (Brenda) Untereiner, Diane (Bob) Dillon, Yvonne (Blair) Brown, Marg Cherry (Bruce) Wagner, John (Jessie) Cherry; as well as many cousins and special friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather Ignace Untereiner. Special thanks to all Katie's caregivers over the past two years. Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel of HOWARD & McBRIDE WESTLAWN, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton.
