SMITH - (nee Joel) Doreen Edna Smith passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years, surrounded by her loving family. She will be missed by her husband Frank; three sons and four daughters, Carol Gilbertson, Harvey (Doreen) Smith, Doug (Sandy) Smith, Barb (Larry) Deeg, Edwin Smith, Brenda (John) Flowers, and Evelyn Smith; one sister Evelyn Kimmett and one sister-in-law Elaine Joel of Red Deer; grandchildren
, Don, Christine (Cory), Dale, Wendy, Trevor (Andrea), Chad, Shannon, Rob, Ryan, Kelsey, Craig, and Amber; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Meghan and Kaitlin. Doreen was predeceased by a son Marvin Joel Smith in 1982 and a grandson Stephen Gilbertson in 1989. Born at High River, Alberta, on January 10, 1918, Doreen was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch No. 10 for over fifty years, enjoying darts and bingo. Weekend card parties with her family and friends were a joy to her as well as golf trips south of the border. AEBIG - Sharon Lynn Aebig (nee Himmelspeck), beloved wife of Barry Aebig of Calgary, and loving mother of Natasha and Leslie, passed away on June 15, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is also survived by her sisters, Barb and friend Wally of Red Water, AB, Carol (Jim) of Estevan, Sask., Linda and friend Moe of Estevan; her brothers, Albert (Mary Ann) of Bashaw, AB, Ralph (Darlene) of Estevan, Sask., Richard of Burnaby, BC, Gerald (Marilyn) of Calgary, AB, Kenny and friend Zena of Lampman, Sask., Kelly (Doris) of Airdrie, AB, and Russell (Cora) of Estevan, Sask.; her mother and father-in-law, Glen and Vera Aebig of Sylvan Lake, AB; sister-in-law Carla of Calgary, AB; brother-in-law Greg (Charlene) of Calgary, AB; eleven aunts, seven uncles and twenty-nine nieces and nephews. in Lampman, Sask. on May 29, 1960. She moved to Calgary in 1978 where she met Barry and they were married
October 6, 1979. Sharon enjoyed all aspects of her homemaking, camping and above all, loved her family and many friends. For the last few years, she was employed by Loomis Courier. She enjoyed her working relationship at Loomis and especially the new friends she made there. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all those involved in Sharon's care. ANDERSON - Effie Dona Anderson passed away at the Foothills Hospital on June 13, 2000 at the age of 83 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Ronald; granddaughter Ronnilyn and her husband Kirk Lovely from Whistler, B.C. ARROL - Ian MacLachlan died peacefully in Victoria, BC, on June 16, 2000, age 76 years. Born in Vanderhoof, BC, on February 20, 1924. Predeceased by his brother Edward (1985) of Calgary, AB. Ian is survived by sisters, Ruth Peleshok of Oshawa, ON, and Elsie Moore of Cannington, ON. He was a radio announcer in the 1940's and 1950's with CFCN in Calgary and CBC in Vancouver. After graduation from the University of BC in 1959 and College of Education in 1960, Ian was a high school teacher in Vancouver, a reporter with the Daily Colonist in Victoria (1964-1966), a high school teacher in Scarborough, ON, the Member of Parliament for York East, ON (1972-1974) and provincially, president of the Don Mills P.C. Constituency Association (1975-1977). Prior to retirement in Victoria in 1986, he was a real estate sales representative in Metro Toronto with Royal Trust and Royal LePage. Patti is survived by her companion Jeff Johnson; mother Edith (Shelly) Blumenschein; brothers, Ron (Moira) Blumenschein and Steve (Pat) Blumenschein.
Shelly was predeceased by her father George Blumenschein in April 1993.

DEDYLUK - Patrick Arthur, born
in Drumheller, Alta., passed away peacefully in Calgary on Monday, June 12, 2000.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, Debra and Michael; and the many people whom he touched especially Mike Merlo.
Pat spent his career working in all aspects of the construction industry.
He was known to be a man of many talents, if he could not build it, fix it or did not have the part, the job was often impossible.
His kindness and generosity with his time, knowledge and all that he owned has reached many.
He is best known for his heart of gold which he has instilled in his children.
A short Service will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 - 16 Avenue N.W. on Monday, June 19 at 12:00 noon, followed by Interment in Munson, Alta.

FRESO - Christina Elizabeth Freso, born
November 2, 1908, passed away June 16, 2000.
She is survived by two daughters, Tessie Roberts and Dorothy Freso; son-in-law Osborne Roberts; and son Lloyd Desmond Freso.
She was predeceased by her husband Ray Freso, daughters Annie Bovell and Norma Freso and son George Richard Freso.
Christina is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and untold relatives whose lives she has touched.
