McTAGGART - Daniel McTaggart passed away September 27, 2000 at Alberta Hospital - Ponoka at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his wife Fran; and six children, Laurie (Brian), Diana Lynn (Mitch), Kathy, Tim (Jean), Dani Marie (Murray) and Terri (Tony). Dan was Poppa to Matt, Michael, Kristen, Vanessa, Michelle, Shelley, James, Daniel, Paul, Andrew, Katelyn, Chelsea, and Courtney. Dan is also survived by his sister Helen; and four brothers, Michael, Stan, Joe and Chuck. His mother, father and two brothers predeceased him. RATUSHNY - Joyce Helene Ratushny (nee Flexhaug), beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on September 29, 2000 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Joyce was born icon on January 22, 1945 in Lethbridge and remained a true Albertan by living in Raymond, Warner and finally Calgary. She met John, her life partner in 1964 and they married icon the following year. The births of her sons, Jason in 1966 and Jeffrey in 1969 helped define her role as a nurturing wife and mother that she continued to fulfill until her passing. Joyce was employed at CFAC Radio from 1975 to 1990 where she fostered life-long friendships. She enjoyed travelling, was active in the community, and found pleasure in caring for her pets and plants. Joyce also found comfort in spending quiet time with her family and was proud of her grandchildren. Joyce is survived by her loving husband John; her parents, Joseph and Helene Flexhaug; her brother Malcolm (Mary) Flexhaug; her sons, Jason (Karen) and Jeffrey (Sophia); her grandchildren, Siobhan, Raquel and Noah; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church (321 - 90 Avenue S.E.) on Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ludwig Hens SAC Celebrant. ROBINSON - Lewis Robinson, beloved husband of Cheryl Robinson of Calgary, passed away on September 28, 2000 at the age of 60 years. Born in Brandon, Manitoba, Lewis came to Calgary in 1955 and has resided here since. In 1976 he apprenticed to become a plumber and gas fitter, and in 1980 set up his own business operating as Cheri-Lew Enterprises. Besides his loving wife, Lewis is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Lisa of Calgary; one daughter and her fiance, Tracey Clayton and Gary Martin of Lethbridge; and seven grandchildren, Deveda, Yolanda, Cassandra, Cheryl, Derrick, Scott and John Joseph. He is also survived by three sons-in-law, John Fekete Sr. of Calgary, Peter Brinks of Fort McMurray and Michael Clayton of Lumby, BC; a brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Ann Robinson of Calgary; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Rubin Furhman and Lynn and Lynne Wright. Lewis was predeceased by his daughter, Sheila Robinson in 1999. ARNALL - Francis John (Jack) Arnall passed away peacefully at the Forest Grove Care Centre Saturday, January 6, 2001 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his daughter Jane Arnall and husband Dale Hiebert; his son Jim (Audrey) Arnall and their children, Clayton and Alison; and his special daughter Nancy O'Dell (son Michael); and by a brother George (Edna) Arnall. Jack spent thirty-two years working for Revenue Canada and then spent the next glorious seventeen summers as a student at the University of Hawaii. Jack will be fondly remembered for his love of music and dancing and the occasional joke. A Celebration of Jack's life will be held at the Wildwood Community Hall, 4411 Spruce Drive S.W., on Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Jack's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. ARNDT - Margaret Arndt of Calgary, passed away at the George Boyack Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 9, 2001 at the age 92 years. Margaret was born icon in Russia, December 29, 1908, into a large family. She was the daughter of John and Aganeta Warkentin of Orenberg, Russia. She emigrated to Canada in 1924 during a period of great political unrest. She met Hugo Robert Arndt, and they married icon in 1929, settling first in Grande Prairie, AB, where they farmed, and later in Magrath, AB where they also had a successful farm. They lived briefly near Tees, AB, and retired to Red Deer. Hugo died in Red Deer in 1977 after a brief illness. Margaret Arndt is well-known for her willingness to reach out to help others, and her pluckiness and resourcefulness in adverse conditions. It was readily apparent that Margaret was a very industrious and active participant in many aspects of living. Some of this determination was a legacy and trait she learned from her mother. She was a devout Christian, with a great love for our Saviour. She is survived by her children, Emma Gregg Sandham (James) of Cobourg, ON, Arthur Arndt (Arlene) of Strathmore, AB, Helen Michelsen (Sirn) of Kelowna, BC, Margaret Foulston (Murray) of Tugaske, SK; eleven grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Hugo's sister Dorothy Carpenter of Lethbridge, AB, and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband Hugo, one grandchild Julianna, her brothers, Frank, John and Dave, her sisters, Sarah and Agnes, a sister and two brothers as infants, a special son-in-law Jack Gregg, and nephew "Billy" whom she cared for. Margaret Arndt will be mourned by many. ATTANYI - Dorothy Attanyi, beloved wife of Anthony Attanyi, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2001, at the Rosedale Hospice at the age of 80 years. Dorothy was born icon in Moose Jaw, SK, in 1920, was educated there, and later moved to Calgary where she worked for the Cancer Society and married icon Tony in 1961. She was very talented in arts, music; she was soloist at the Altadore Baptist Church, and was invited to sing at many Calgary Churches and other functions. She also played drums, and marimba, and composed quite a few waltzes. She also painted many pictures, mainly in oils. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lillian and Stan Atkins of Moose Jaw, SK, and their family, Elsie Christie of Chetwyn, BC, as well as many nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. BAILEY - Alvida Bernice passed away at home on January 10, 2001 at the age of 61 years. Alvida was born icon November 12, 1939 in Vancouver, BC. She is survived by her sister Karen (Jim) Barker, California and nephews Jim and Michael and niece Debbie. She was predeceased by her parents, James Thorold Bailey and Amanda Bernice Bailey. No Service will be held. The body has been donated for research.

BURGESS - W.A. (Bill) Burgess, beloved husband of Susan Burgess of Calgary, passed away suddenly at the Rockyview Hospital on Thursday, January 11, 2001 at the age of 54 years. Bill was a Lion's Club member for twenty-five years. As an active member of the Calgary South West Lion's Club, Bill helped involve all of Calgary and District Lion's Clubs in supporting the Sight Research Centre of the University of Calgary. Bill was a dedicated Flames fan and his interest in geology led him to create an extensive rock collection. Bill was formerly an avid curler who maintained his interest in the sport. Besides his loving wife, Bill is survived by his brother Jim, his wife Linda and their children, Sara and Jennifer; his sister Janet, her husband Chris Bellis and their children, Ron and Jessica; and an aunt Evelyn Burgess, all of Calgary. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Dorothy. CLARK - June Isabelle (nee Dunn) passed away suddenly on January 11, 2001 at the age of 62 years. She will be sadly missed by her children, Robert Corscadden, Kathleen Corscadden (Ken Harper), Deborah Corscadden (Robert Ronaghan), Thomas Corscadden (Bev); and her four grandchildren, Natalie, Daniel, Serena and Noel. Born December 9, 1938 in Edmonton, the daughter of William and Mildred Dunn, she was raised and educated in Edmonton where she met and married icon her former husband Clifford Corscadden. June raised her four children in Whitecourt, Alberta, eventually moving to Drumheller in 1976. In Drumheller she met and married icon Marshall Clark on April 10, 1982. June was active in her community, in her church, the library, and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She worked as an accounting clerk in Drumheller and continued her education throughout life through the Athabasca and Calgary Universities, pursuing a B.A in History. In 1995 June moved to Calgary to be nearer to her children and grandchildren. The family would like to express special thanks for the care provided at her group home by Jane Laird, Andrea and Kathy, and by the staff at the Fanning Centre. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Thomas United Church at 100 Hawkwood Boulevard N.W. on January 16 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Geoff Carr officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta and the Calgary Handi-Bus Association.
