In her 69th year, passed away peacefully and with dignity, on Wednesday, January 22, 2003, with family by her side, at Lakeridge Bowmanville Hospital. Loving wife of Murray. Proud mother of Lisa, Elaine and her husband Craig, and Ross. Loving mother of Bucky the beagle. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Laura and Ashley. True friend to all who knew her including her lifelong friends and all of the animals. Past director of the Oshawa Humane Society and volunteer to Cancer Society and many worthwhile animal charities. Family wishes to thank Dr. Theo Corpus and all of the kind nurses and staff of the 2 East Unit of Bowmanville Lakeridge Hospital for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to The Haven of the Heart Animal Sanctuary, R.R.1, Palgrave, Ontario, L0N 1P0 or Bowmanville Lakeridge Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. Graveside Service will be held Friday, January 24, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Norway Cemetery, 256 Kingston Road, at Woodbine Ave., Toronto. May the peace of the Lord be with you always.

CLEMENTS, Gladys (Dot) -
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2003 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late James Sr. Loving mother of James Jr. and his wife Debris, and Michael. Grandmother of Tammy, Michael, Melissa and Danielle. Predeceased by her brothers John, Cecil (Nip) and Charles. A private family service will be held at a later date. In Dot’s memory donations to London’s Children Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE “Thornton Chapel” 847 King St. West (905-721-1234).

DUNFIELD, JOSEPH -
Suddenly at home on January 22, 2003 in his 76th year. In 1951 Joseph Dunfield immigrated to Canada with his brother Martin. Three years later, in 1954, Annie joined him here in Canada; and together for 49 years they were blessed with good health, four thankful children, but above all, love was shared by all. To all his friends, dear Joe was the fixer-upper. We are much richer for having had him in our lives. A life well lived! Husband of Annie (nee Van Bree), father of Henry and Lynda Dunfield (Calgary), Ed and Kathy Dunfield (Salmon Arm), Debbie and Ray Ewart (Vancouver) and Jim and Tracey Dunfield (Kingston) along with twelve grandchildren. Survived by his brother Martin and wife Beverly of Oshawa; brothers Piet, Harry and sisters Drieka and Anna, predeceased by Jans (all of Holland). Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with visitation from 2- 4 pm and 7- 9pm Saturday, January 25. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Sunday January 26, at 2 pm. Cremation to follow service. Memorial donations to the Charity of Choice would be greatly appreciated.

ED, Bernice Dodds Cohoon -
In her 95th year. Following a brief serious illness on January 22nd, 2003. "B" is the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Merrill Ed, loving mother of Jon (Hilda) of Port Hope; Donald (Judi) of Ottawa and the late Eric (Paula) of Maine, USA. She was the adored grandmother of Lisa, Lesli, Katie, Beth, Erin, Stuart and Merrill. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Brittany, Cameron, Leigh, Tia and Matthew. Her brother Atwood Cohoon and sister Eleanor Cohoon Armstrong predeceased "B". She is survived also by sisters in law Louise Ed Marston and Roberta Ed Phillips. Nephews, nieces and manydear friends lovingly remember her. A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, January 27th at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home beginning at 11am followed by a reception at the Wilmot Creek Wheelhouse. Throughout her long life "B" was an avid reader and supporter of public libraries. In her memory contributions of new softback, large print or talking books will be received by the Wilmot Creek Library. Contributions to a Charity of your choice would also be appreciated.

HENDERSON, Peggy (Margaret) -
At Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, on Wednesday, January 22, 2003. Peggy Henderson, beloved wife of the late Bud (Arthur) Henderson. Dear mother of Betty and her husband Robert Worburton, William, and John and his wife Donna. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kim, Danny, Laura, Spencer, Devon, Simon and the late Rick and by her great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Rita Potter. She will be fondly remembered by the Potter family. A special thank you to the staff of Sunnycrest Nursing Home for their dedicated care of our parents. (WWII Veteran, retired principal, Scarborough Board of Education). Passed away peacefully at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2003, in his 85th year. His kind and loving presence will be deeply missed but always treasured by his daughters Merilyn Woods and Shelagh Carroll, sons-in-law John Woods and Brian Logan, granddaughters Leanne Cholette, Lisa Lumley and Kathleen Carroll, great grandchildren Kirsten, Lindsay, Roland and Matthew, sisters-in-law Margaret Richmond, and Doreen Hudson. Predeceased by his wife Evaleen, brother Arnold, son-in-law David Carroll, and dear friends Joan and Margery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Uxbridge (54 Toronto Street South). Funeral Service to be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church on Saturday, January 25th, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Peacefully, passed away at the Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Wednesday, January 22, 2003. Predeceased by her husband James Wesley. Loving mother of Mary Elizabeth Turcott and husband Earl, James Edward Markle and wife Nancy. Missed by her grandchildren Lori-Ann, Belinda, James and Jennifer and great- grandchildren Trevor, Tamara, Bob, Alishia, Amber, Austin, Lara and Olivia. Sister of Margaret, Helen and predeceased by her brother Gordon. GORESKI, Philip -
Born September 12, 1918 in Saskatchewan and died peacefully with his family by his side, on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, at age 84. Philip Goreski was a successful farmer, businessman and entrepreneur in the Port Perry area for over 62 years. He will be missed by his wife Anne (nee Exner), his children Gerald (Dianne), Ken (Dianne), Wayne (Gail), Larry (Beni Kearns), MaryAnne Medved (Bob Muckle), Kelly (Darla), Allan (Lori), Ron (Cathy), Len (Patti) and Teresa (Mike McGuinness), his grandchildren Danielle, Meagan, Erika, Mark, Paul, Lisa, Leighann, Jeff, Mandy, Brad, Allison, Jenny, Kyle, Cheryl-Anne, Derek, Nicole, Jeremy, Jessica, Rachel, Matthew and Lesley, and his great grandchildren Jaiden, Tyson, Olivia, Emily, Mykaela, Robbie, Kate and Jacob. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Helen, his brothers Frank, John and Tom and his sister Lena. Survived by his brothers Rudy, Gus, and Adam and his sisters Anne and Sophie.
