Passed away peacefully on January 31, 2004, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Doris for over 28 years, and the late Ruby. Loving father of Shirley and Earl Elson, Don and Louise Taber. Step-father to Linda and Gerado Lounsbury-Lopez, Beverley and Clive Marsh, Brenda and Mark Bayley. Proud grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 8. Survived by his sisters Jennie Taber, Marie Smith and his brother Clair Taber. Predeceased by his brothers Gerald, Weedon and Leslie. Family and friends are invited to visit the Low & Low Funeral Home, on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 for visitation from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 in the Chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vivian Baptist Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a Charity of choice.

CLARKE, Donald -
It is with great sadness that Don's family announces the passing of their father and grandfather in his 92nd year, on January 30th, 2004 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. Don was born to Amos & Elizabeth (Fallowdown) Clarke (deceased) in Sunderland. His loving wife Mildred (Palmer) & his daughter Ruth and her husband Marvin Toole and their daughter Carolynn predeceased him as well as his brothers, Bill, Joe, Harold & Charles. He is fondly remembered by his daughter, Mary and her husband, Steve Holt and by his cherished grandchildren, David (Janice) Graham (Brianna) and Leanne (Mark). He will also be missed by his brother, Lloyd Clarke and his sister, Mary Murphy. Don will be remembered for his devotion to his family and home and his will to live life to the fullest. Funeral service was held on Monday, February 2nd, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Uxbridge Trinity United Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Trinity United Church, Uxbridge or the Canadian Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated.

Lovingly remembered by 21 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. HENRY, Mary Evelyn -
Peacefully, on Friday, January 30 2004 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry. Mary (nee Leonard), beloved wife of the late Merv Henry. Mother of Richard Henry and his wife Mary of Port Perry, and Thom Henry and his wife Nettie of Ajax. Grandmother of James and David, both of Port Perry. Lifelong friend of Dot Howell. Youngest sister of the late Eldon Leonard and his wife Thelma, Mae Leonard and Letha Leonard. Mary was a long time resident of both Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, where she and Merv spent many happy years with family and friends. A private celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2004. Interment Lundy's Lane Cemetery in the Spring. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

PARKER, Wesley Gilbert "Chief" -
Peacefully, at home on January 30th, 2004 at the age of 67. Long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43. Beloved husband of Linda and close special friend to Helen. Survived by loving mother Muriel Budkowski, brother Tony and his wife Irena and sister Heather. Father of Gordon, Cindy and Marc, Willow and James, Scheshawna and step-father to Sheri and Michael. Grandfather to Brandi and Brianne. Predeceased by son Edward and sister Shirley. Special thanks to Dr. Randhawa and the nurses and homemakers of ComCare and Palliative Care of Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Dear brother of Don, Evelyn Woolner, George, Stella Brown, Ervine, Marvine, Lucille Brooks, Josie Doxtater and the late Lenna Froats and Clarence Brooks. Esslie is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Private family funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2004. After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Bruce Gedge passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday January 29, 2004. Bruce "Shorty" in his 71st year. Beloved husband & best friend of Elvire (nee Smeets). Loving father & friend to Brian & his wife Kelly, Susan Fraser & her husband Keith, and Brad & his partner Kimberly. Lovingly remembered by his four legged friend Tobin. Survived by his brothers & sisters Roy Gedge (Lillian), Norma Carnwith (Bill), Joyce Gunn (Garney), and Sharon Dennis (Derwin).
