Will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, friends and family. John was a proud member of Legion 258. Family and friends may call at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre on Tuesday, January 27 from 10-12 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 p.m. in the Chapel. Beloved wife of the late George "King" Taylor. Dear and devoted mother of Margaret Kemp, Jane and husband David Jobb, Sandra and husband Doug Hatfield. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Davey and wife Annissa, Mark and wife Shelley, Kimmy, Geri-Lynn and husband Bob, Allan and wife Terra, Darrin, Kerri-Ann, Joanne and husband Dan and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Sara-Jane and husband Jason, Teala, Allanah, Caitlin, Brianne, Alex, Alisha, Danny, Ethan, Patrick, Nicholas, Ashley and Evan. Predeceased by her sister Verna Littlefield and brothers Howard and John Powell. Sister-in-law of Mary Tomlinson and Charlotte Powell. COX, Mildred Elsie (nee Hogel) -
June 1st, 1921 - January 21st, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Roy Edward Cox. Beloved mother of Jack Roy Cox and Beverly Lynn Peever. Precious and much loved Grandmother of Richard Jack Cox, Kelly Ann Cox, Tracy Lynn Cox and Shawn Roy Peever. Predeceased by her parents Alonzo and Elsie Hogel, sisters: Barbara Finlay, Muriel Burtinsky, brothers: Lloyd Hogel, Donald Hogel, Howard Hogel and Harry Hogel. Survived by sisters Doris Beckell, Ruth Veysey, Shirley Wallace and brother Everett Hogel of Oshawa. Also survived by three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, January 24th at 3:00 p.m. (no prior visitation). Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. HAINER Edythe Josephine -
Died at Oakville on Wednesday January 21, 2004. Born in Listowel Ontario. She was the only daughter of the late Arthur and Clementine George. She attended public school, high school and graduated from Listowel Business College as a Gold Medalist. Mrs. Hainer was a member of the Bluebell Group of St. Andrews Church in Oshawa. For several years Mrs. Hainer was a member of Prince Philips Chapter of I.O.D.E., member of the Oshawa Golf Club and the General Motors Badminton Club. She also organized and became president of the Rainbow Bowling League. Mrs. Hainer was predeceased by her husband Harold Carlyle Hainer, they had been married on May 23, 1931, and resided in Oshawa until the early 90's, She leaves Dr. William F. Clark and wife Lorie and sons Jake and Dr. Edward Clark, all of London, ON. Also a niece Mrs. Paul Statler of Mississauga, and a nephew Dr. Donald George of Ottawa. Cremation has taken place. Interment with her husband, at Oshawa Union Cemetery, in the spring. Mrs. Hainer rested at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E. Oshawa (905-433-5558). Memorial donations made to a Charity of one's choice would be appreciated.

KONYK, Tatiana (Tanya) -
At The Wynfield Residence on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 in her 81st year. Tanya, beloved wife of the late Peter Konyk. Loved mother of Ludmilla, George, Paul, Rooslan and Angelina. Loving grandmother of Suzanne, Miriah, Michael, Alecia, Chelsea, Tamara, Ashley, Nathan, Christine, Cole, Jordan and great-grandmother of Hunter, Mackyla and Melissa. Friends may pay their respects at the Morris Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 24, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service complete in the chapel on Sunday at 3 p.m. Donations in Tanya's memory to Bowmanville Baptist Church would be gratefully appreciated.

POUNDER, Ivy (nee Tew) -
Peacefully and with dignity, at home with her family, after a courageous and well-fought battle with cancer. Ivy, in her 72nd year, left us Wednesday, January 21st, 2004. Loving mother to Linda White of Whitby, Michael and Tracey Pounder of Oshawa and Stephen Pounder and his wife Aniko Thomas of South Carolina. Much loved Gran to Christopher and Kelly White of California, Beverly and Paul Decker, Tina and Rick Vautour, Laura Pounder and her partner Garry Linsdell, Melissa, Tasha, Nicole and Graham Pounder all of Oshawa, Stevi Pounder of South Carolina, and Shelby Pounder of Oshawa. Cherished and doting Great-Gran to Kaitlin and Paige White of California, Stephanie White and Brandon Decker, Keedryn and Kierstyn Vautour, and Austen Patterson and Destinee Linsdell, all of Oshawa. Ivy will be sadly missed by her surviving brothers and their families in England as well as many other close family members and caring friends. Visitors will be received at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Monday, January 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral Services in celebration of Ivy's life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 27th at 11:00 A.M. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
