Jean was predeceased by her parents, four sisters, three brothers, and her partner of many years, Dennis Sexton. While Jean battled chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure for several years, her greatest challenge was to cope with significant vision impairment, the result of Glaucoma. She was very grateful for all of the support services that were provided to her by Durham Access to Care, the CNIB, and the many wonderful neighbours and friends that she made in her Seniors Apartment Complex (Pearl, Peggy, Walter, and Marjorie most particularly.)
