Her family sadly announces her passing suddenly at home on Thursday, February 12, 2004, in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Henderson. Dear mother of Steven Henderson and his wife Allison Noble and Ronald Henderson. Loving grandmother of Joel Beatson-Henderson, Annie Henderson and Asia Henderson and Jason Henderson. Cherished aunt and friend of Isabel and Stan Beer. Survived by her brother (William) Bill Gosling and his wife Pat. Gladys will be sadly missed by all her family. Visitation will take place at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 1-2 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2004. Memorial Service will take place in our Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations would be appreciated if made to Bowmanville Hospital or a Charity of your choice, for example, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

HIGGINS, Jane (Jean) -
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville on Thursday February 12th, 2004 in her 79th year, after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife of Donald. Loving mother of John (Lynda) and Belinda. Grandmother of Christopher and David. Dear sister of Rebecca (Andy) of Scotland, Elizabeth (Mike) of Indiana. Predeceased by twin sister Agnes. Loving sister-in-law and best friend of Jean Donnelly. Sister-in-law of Martha and Keith Higgins, June and Jimmy Higgins. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by family and many friends. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice L1E 2R7 905-432-8484 (4th set of light east of Townline Rd.). Memorial Service will be held in our Chapel on Monday February 16th, 2004 at 12:00 PM. The family of Jane will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

JOHNSTON, Fraser McGregor -
Suddenly on Thursday, February 12th, 2004 at the age of 49. Beloved husband of Darlene (nee Tkaczuk). Dear father of Sean Johnston. Loved son of Alison and John Johnston and son-in-law of Bill and Georgie Tkaczuk. Brother of David and his wife Leann and Leslie and her husband Dave Janveaux. Fraser will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends. An opportunity to celebrate Fraser's life will be held at the OSHAWA LITTLE THEATRE on Tuesday, February 17th from 7-9 P.M. Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. A service will be held in the chapel at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday February 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Adam to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

At Extendicare on Wednesday, February 11, 2004, Sophie (nee Melnychuk) at 84 years of age. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, Yvonne Shepperdson, and Karen Brack, nerd nephew Larry Melnychuk and their families. Sophie is predeceased by her brother Mike Melnychuk, her sister Mary Knight and her nephew Ron. At Sophie's request thre will be no funeral service. Memorial donations to the Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through THE ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME.

BICKELL, JOYCE -
After a brave fight, with her family by her side at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 in her 81st year. Joyce, beloved wife of the late Nelson. Loving mother of Inez and her husband Cork Burgess, Donald and his wife Heather, Margaret and her husband Wes Knapp, Doug and his wife Nancy, Denis, Alan and his wife Suzette, Susan and her husband Scott Thertell, Robert (Ted) and his wife Darlene, Brian and the late Stephen. Dear grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends may pay their respects at the Morris Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2004 from 2 4 and 7 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Donations in Joyce s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.

(member of R.C.L. #322-Veteran W.W.II). Peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 11, 2004, in his 85th year. Carl Burns, husband of the late Colleen. Loving father of Bilff, Laura, Pearl and Ricky. Grandfather of Tammy, Bliff Jr., Dylan, Rich, Sabrina, Randi, Tiffany and Jessica. Survived by sister Daisy Udell. Norma Doreen Hughes (nee Kendall), in her 79th year, was the beloved wife of Donald Stanley Hughes of Cannington. Loving mother of Donna and Gerald Richard of Cannington, Glenda and Don Dearing of Hampton, Donald and Kathy Hughes of Oshawa and Denise and Martin Kuypers of Uxbridge. Dearly remembered by her grandchildren Gene and his wife Terri, Scott, Jennifer, Kelly, Melissa, Kody and great grandson Tyson. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home in Cannington, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, February 13th, 2004 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
