Suddenly on Thursday, April 29, 2004, at the age of 44. Tim was the loving husband of Connie, and devoted father of Jason and Alexandra. Greatly missed by his sister Vicki and her family. Son of Terry Trowsse and Judy Kavaner. Beloved son-in-law of Des and Myrt Denyer. Tim will also be sadly missed by his many friends and extended family. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Tuesday, May 4, from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service in the chapel of the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Donations in Tim’s memory to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by his family.

HAMILTON, Roy Alguire -
Peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Whitby at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Dear father of Jean (Harry Kift) of Oshawa, Mary Jane and the late Philip Govan of Sydney, BC, and the late David (Shirley) Hamilton of Timmons. Loving brother of Mary Hamilton of Bobcaygeon. Predeceased by a sister Ruth Clingen of Martintown. Will be lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and nephews Ronald (Peggy) Clingen of Ottawa and Keith Clingen of Martintown. Funeral Service will be held at REXDALE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 2314 Islington Ave., Etobicoke on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 1 p.m. Visitation 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers donations to the Gideon Society or Rexdale Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.

MacKENZIE, William George (Bill) –
With sadness the family announces the sudden passing of William George MacKenzie on Wednesday April 28, 2004, in his 63rd year. Loving husband of Jean Emily MacKenzie (nee Wood). Loving father of Catherine Louise Brown, Richard William MacKenzie and Joy Marie MacKenzie. Loving grandfather of six; Ilesha, Ishaka, Nakesha, Shaneka, Jahziyha and Shemenne. Brother to Donnie MacKenzie, Joan Martin, Vanessa Macaloney, Gordon Barrett and predeceased by George MacKenzie. He will also be sadly missed by his loyal companion “Penny”. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484), with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday May 1 at 2 p.m. The family of Bill will receive friends from noon to service time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

O'CONNOR, Eva (Hi - E) -
1926-2004 - On April 28, 2004 surrounded by family and friends, Eva past away peacefully at Bowmanville Memorial Hospital. She will be sadly missed by sister Bea Claus, her husband Seab Claus, sister Kay Russell and brother Art O'Connor and sister-in-law Audrey O'Connor. Predeceased by sisters Anne Knox and Marie Allen, brothers Tony and John O'Connor as well as many nieces & nephews. As per Eva's wishes their will be no service held. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Durham Region.

WINGET, Roseanna (nee Quenneville) -
Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates on Wednesday April 28, 2004 in her 96th year. Lovingly remembered by her children Carol (Frank) Rott of Oshawa, Judy (Harold-Butch) Latta of Elliott Lake, and Clara (Dennis) Goddard of Elliot Lake. Roseanna will be truly missed by her grandchildren Gail, Steven, Gary, Glen, Michael, Robert, Sandra, Sharon, Mike, Stewart, Carl, Julie, Carol, Cindy, Lee and Katherine and by her 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa, with funeral service in the Chapel on Friday April 30, 2003 at 4p.m. Cremation Mount Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday 7-9 and Friday 2-4 p.m.

Beloved father of Dianne and Robert Wilson, Janet and Jack Dodge, Sandra and Frank Paquette, and Thomas and Anne Fairfull. Dear grandfather and great-grandfather of many. Worked in the church for many years, doing what he loved best. His love for the Lord came first. Thank you Lord for letting us share his life. His delight will be meeting his Lord to whom he gave his heart many years ago and was allowed to see all his children do the same. LESCISIN, George -
(Retired in 1982 from General Motors with 35 years of service). The soul of George was lifted from this earth to be with our Lord and Saviour in Eternal Life on Tuesday, April 27th, 2004 from the Rouge Valley Heath System – Ajax. George, in his 82nd year was the devoted and loving husband of the late Anne Lescisin who passed away Sunday, January 4, 2004. Beloved father of his two sons, Edward and Larry, who will forever remember his great love and kindness. Dear and generous father in law of Christine and Robin. Sadly missed by his seven grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Kevin, Lyndsay, Kyle, Adrian and Paul. Fondly remembered by his siblings Vivian, Ann and Steve as well as many other relatives and friends. Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday April 27, 2004 in her 57th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. Will be sadly missed by her children Stephen and his wife Jelena, David and his wife Sarah, and Angela and her fiance Brad. Proud grandmother of Cadance. Pre-deceased by her husband Derek Mercer. Dear sister of Lilly and Russell Brander of Florida, Sean and Anita Henderson, Martin and Breda Henderson, Patrick and Patsy Henderson and Liam Henderson, all of Northern Ireland. Dear sister-in-law to Rosemary and Billy Monroe and Margaret and Ken McCreight of Northern Ireland. Funeral service will be held Friday April 30th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Perry at 11:00am. Burial and reception to follow.

TANTENGCO, Aurora Dinio -
Passed away peacefully in her 79th year on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at York Central Hospital. She will finally rejoin her husband Abel. Ima will be missed by her children Nila (Simplicio) Acedillo, Luz (Jerry) Rodriguez, Remy (Amado) Infante, Chito (Beloy) Rico, Gina (JoJo) Dangoy and Ramon (Mariles) Tantengco. Much loved grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is survived by brothers and sisters Estela Mc'Kay, Cecilio Dinio, Teresita Dinio, Cleotilde Fernando, Rosita Sison, Faustino Dinio, Leonor Grajo and numbers of nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church (1148 Finch Ave., Pickering).

FRASER, Betty -
Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Monday, April 26, 2004. Mary Elizabeth (Betty) was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, on February 18, 1915, the eldest daughter of the late J. Harry and Lillian Chown. She was devoted to her husband of 64 years, Hugh, who passed away just 6 weeks ago. Together they enjoyed a full and rich life, commencing in their matrimonial home, a modest canvas tent, near Yellowknife, NWT, then progressing to their first home on Vancouver Island, then Toronto and finally Oshawa. Betty was exceptionally spirited, enjoyed a wide range of personal interests, was sometimes outspoken, but always compassionate. She dedicated her life as a homemaker and mother and is sadly missed by her surviving children Norman, Doug and Mary MacDonald. Her daughter Nancy Bell pre-deceased her as have brothers Edwin and Peter, sister Nancy Thomson, and son-in-law Norm MacDonald. She is survived and warmly remembered by daughters-in-law Ruth and Anne, son-in-law Ken Bell, and her grandchildren Cameron (and Catherine), Wokie, Shelagh, Katie, Christine and Rob. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2004 at 3:00 PM in the chapel at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558). Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Durham or a Charity of choice.
