PARKER, Kenneth Ridley -
Has gone to heaven to care and nurture spring gardens April 23, 2004. He was 57. Ken will be remembered for his devotion to family, his wit, his inventiveness and his passion for orchids. Left to celebrate his caring and inspiring life are his loving wife of thirty years, Judy, cherished son, Darcy (Boston), adored daughter, Yvette Simpson and her husband Erik (Houston, TX) and treasured grandson, Gavin. Ken will be fondly remembered by sister, Lynda Mackay (Reay), Toronto and brother, Russell (Deb), California. Ken is the beloved nephew of Catharine Ridley, London, ON., and son-in-law of Lauretta Johnston, Woodstock. This past year he has been sustained and comforted by faith. He is blessed with special relatives throughout Canada and the U.S. Ken and his family are thankful for the unconditional care and support of Doctor John Simpson, Uxbridge, and Reverend Elaine Lush. We thank Dr. Henry Solow, Dr. David Shumka, Dr. Eileen Lougheed and staff for their compassionate care to Ken. Friends may call at Low and Low Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, April 26, 2004 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m . A Service of thanksgiving will be held at Trinity United Church, Uxbridge, Ontario on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. If you wish, memorial donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital or Goodwood United Church. Plant and nurture a tree in Ken's memory.

BARON, Frank Joseph -
(Owner of Barons' Home Furnishings for 44 years; Former Separate School Board Trustee; Member of Knights of Columbus) Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa with his family by his side on Thursday April 22, 2004, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Jan. Loving father of Frank & his wife Helen, Theresa Linnell & her husband Evan, Karl & his wife Judy, Mark & his wife Linda, Marina Kosichek & her husband John and Lisa Zdanowicz & her husband Chesley. Proud Poppi of Francis, Jacob, Brendan, Shawn, Brodie, Jenna, Marissa, Spencer, Ethan, Abi, Rebecca, Hannah, Nathaniel, Zachary, Eli & great Poppi to Lincoln. Dear brother of Anne Wysotski, Jessie Vetzal, and Mary Kilistoff. Predeceased by his brother Peter Baron. Frank will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews & friends. Frank was an avid fisherman, and volunteered countless hours to local Nursing Homes providing entertainment with his piano playing. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King East, Oshawa with Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church on Monday April 26th at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. At Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Thursday, April 22, 2004. Kay, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Ralph De Hart. Loving mother of Barbara and her husband Tim Wilson of London, Ken and wife Sharlene, Doris De Hart and her husband Rick Peleshok, all of Oshawa. Dear grandmother of Jamie De Hart and his wife Stephanie; Krystyn De Hart; Darren and Roger Wilson; and great-grandmother of Trinity and Eden De Hart. Sister of Marg and her husband Jack Crooker of Corunna, Ont., and predeceased by Bill and Reg Hodgkinson. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. George Geary of Port Perry, beloved husband of the late Isabella (nee Bell) and the late Jean (nee Lancaster). Father of Steve and his wife Debbie, Rick and his wife Colleen and Gerry and his wife Karen. Grandfather of Joey, Andrew, Colin, Nicole, Derek and Erin. After a lengthy illness at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Thursday, April 22nd, 2004, at the age of 66 years. Dear and loving wife of Joe of 45 years. Caring mother of Evan and his wife Christine, Deborah and her husband Reg Eldridge and Glenn Gordon and his partner Fiona Byrne. Ruby is lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren and her best friends Marion and Andrew Shirra. Ruby will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Suddenly, after a brief illness, he passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, on Thursday, April 22, 2004, approaching his 65th birthday. He is survived by his children Curtis and wife Nancy, Steve and wife Lisa, Kerry and husband Darryl Brockie, and their mother Janice Hunt, his grandchildren Kayla, Makenna, Carly, Jesse, and Jamie-Lynn, his brother Jack and wife Marsha and his nephews Greg and Dan. Died peacefully at his home in his 87th year after a brave and courageous fight with his ailing health, on Wednesday, April 21st, 2004. GARDINER, Annette (nee Anastasia Stefaniuk) -
(Past Figure Skating Teaching Professional at the Granite Club, Double Rink Arenas and the Pickering Skating Club). Annette went peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at the age of 75. Annette left this earth to join her husband and soul mate Fred Gardiner, and her dear brothers John and Nick Stefaniuk and her parents Katherine and Matthew Stefaniuk. Annette had a remarkable life, she was a woman who was never selfish and cared deeply for her family and friends. She has left a void in our hearts that we hope to fill with her mewories and wisdom. Annette will never be far away from those she loved and cherished, her son Kevin and his wife Anne, Jim and his wife Marilyn, and her daughter Diane Gale and her partner Ron Pilkey. Annette's greatest pride and deepest joy were her grandchildren, Daniel Gardiner and his fiancee Michelle Desormeaux, Rebecca Gardiner, Ryan Gale, Jeremy, Marsha, Marissa and Jonathan Gardiner. Annette was called 'Nana' by them, and when they called her 'Nana', it was such an expression of the gentle and unconditional love that they felt for her. Annette will be missed by her brother Bill Stefaniuk, and sisters Mary Liskowich, Anne Nelder and many nieces and nephews and especially her younger sister Elsie Stephanie who has been very loving, caring and supportive of Annette and our family and we are eternally grateful. Loved grandmother of Matthew, Julie, Aron, Brittany and Thomas. Survived by her sisters Joan, Bonnie, Pat, Elaine and Nancy and her brother Bill.
