Survived by grandchildren Michael Brown and his wife Melissa, Reagan and Matthew Brown, Kendal and Lynsey Brown. Survived by his sister Helen Humphreys and brother Claire Brown and predeceased by his sister Thelma Layng. MACDONALD, John Hugh -
Hughie MacDonald died suddenly on Monday, April 25th, 2005 at the age of 66. Born in New Waterford, Cape Breton; son of the late Dan R. and Mabel MacDonald; was a coal miner and moved to Ontario in 1962; Former employee of Pilkington Glass; President of United Glass & Ceramic Workers Union; during the past 35 years he owned and operated J.H. MacDonald and Sons; Operated The MacDonald Boxing Club of West Hill for 15 years. Hughie is survived by his wife of 46 years Jacqueline (nee MacPhee), sons Doug (Liz), Roddy (Kelly) and daughter Kelly (Bob) Biduke and grandchildren J.H., Jake, Sara MacDonald; Nicole, Ian, Neil MacDonald; Keegan, Jesse, Cody, Kaleigh and Cheyenne Biduke; brother of Roddie (Ann), sisters Catherine (Wilson) LeLoup and Mabel (Kirk) Brown both of Nova Scotia. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his brother Danny. Survived by his many nieces and nephews. Loving father of Craig (Debbie) and June-Ellen (Robert) Aselton. Step-father of Tammy, Michelle (Gerry), Sharon (Pat) and Cathy (Brian). Loving grandfather of Sean, Paul, Colin, Jeffrey and Ryan. Step-grandfather of ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is survived by sister-in-law Mae Burley, cousin Fred (Evelyn) Dyer and nephew Chris (Debbie) Dyer and their children Crystal and Amanda. Predeceased by nephew Mark. Craig was a Past Master of High Park Masonic Lodge (1976), Past President of the Pipes & Drums Sahib Temple, and Past President of the Toronto Press Club. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (35 Church St. North, Ajax). Interment on Thursday. I, Gloria Caissie, have gone to meet my heavenly Father, Our Lord, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on Saturday, April 23, 2005. I will also join my moms and dads, Fred and Marie Caissie and Fred and Collette Caissie (mom and pop) and my sisters, Rita, Noella, Margaret, Viola, and Jeannette. I am survived by my loving husband, Gerry Caissie, of 45 years; my sons, Gerry Jr. and his wife, Leslie; Ron and his wife, Dawn; and Dennis; my loved grandchildren, Shawn, Ashley, Lisa, Nicole, and James, of Ontario; and my brothers and sisters, Bertha, Della, Muriel, Joseph and Eddy, of Moncton, New Brunswick. Loving grandfather of Lori, Mike, Melissa, Gary, Terry, Amanda, Kristal, Tyler and Brandon. Great grandfather of Jesse, Cody, Alyssa, Kristin, Frank Jr., Ryan and Ava. Percy was a much loved brother to Colin and his Wife Gladys, and Leona and her husband Ted. He was preceded by his father and mother, Archibald and Elsie, brother Herbert and sisters Violet Matthews and Jean Mills. A private celebration of Percy's life will take place in Pickering on Saturday, April 30, 2005.
