Loving father of Doug Whiting & his wife Carolyn, and Marie & her husband David Swanson. Dear brother of Bill Whiting (the late Ruth Whiting), the late Doug Whiting and the late Ernest Whiting. Survived by his sister in law Dorothy. Dear brother in law of James Armstrong & his wife Ardith and predeceased by his sister in law Frances Bradley and her husband Elwood. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to say a very special thank you to Gord Armstrong and Brian Branchaud. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Monday April 25th at 1 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. A Service to celebrate the life of Wayne Cottyn will be held in the Chapel of the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171), on Saturday, May 7th, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Elaine Lush officiating. Interment Kendal Cemetery, Utica. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry or the Charity of your choice.

Peacefully at Ajax-Pickering Hospital on Monday, April 18th, 2005. Ada B. Munro (nee Tobin), in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Staff Sgt. Ronald Grant Munro (R.C.M.P.). Dear mother of the late Dr. Robert E. Munro of Oshawa-Whitby and Ruth Joanne Goodyear of Hamilton. Lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Noreen, her grandchildren Michael and his wife Allison, Heather, Tricia and her husband Dwayne Gilbert and Janna, Aisling and Kristian Goodyear. Fondly remembered by her 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Margaret McAulay of Mulgrave, Nova Scotia and Emmett Tobin of Peakskill, New York. Remembered by her nieces Eleanor Lewis, Billy Scozzosava, Pat Martin and nephew Larry Tobin and their families. Ada was a retired teacher in the Dartmouth-Halifax Area Catholic School Board for many years. Loving mother of Donald and his wife Carolyn Stevens of Brooklin, Mary and her husband John Villeneuve of Myrtle Station and Murray and his wife Marg Stevens of Myrtle. Dear grandmother of Karynn and her husband Andreas von Cramon, Steven and his wife Donna Villeneuve, Michael and Andrew Stevens and great grandmother of Christian, Juliana and Simon von Cramon and Lucy Villeneuve. Dear sister of Merlin and Ernie Gilroy. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the CNIB or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

In her 85th year. On Monday April 18th 2005, at General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood. Beloved wife of Anthony Visser. Predeceased by her first husband Keith Whitney. Dear mother of Pat & her husband Don Fletcher, Lousie & her husband David Mountenay. Predeceased by her daughter Bonnie Trafton. She will be dearly missed by Monica Baker, Birgitta & her husband Chris Wilson, Laura Visser, Norbert & his wife Rev. Wendy Moore, Ed & his wife Kim Visser. She is survived by 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren & very special “daughter” Debourha McComb. A Private Family Service will take place at a later date. Loving grandmother to Colin Goodall, Carleton Place, Genevieve Coolidge, Mission, Texas, Rebecca (Jim) Stenhom, Jacob Murray, and Nicholas (Sarah) Murray, Phoenix Arizona. She will be sadly missed by great grandchildren Bailey, Aidan and Benton Coolidge and Spencer Stenholm. PHILLIPS, John Mackinnon -
At home with family by his side on Saturday, April 16, 2005 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Jane. Loving father of Diana McLeese, John (Carol), Catherine Scime (Michael) and James (Colleen). Step father of Karen Medd (Leslie) and Steven Ramsay (Tracey). Proud grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 6. John will be sadly missed by his friends and colleagues. In addition to private practise in Oshawa, John was a former member of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. Among his many interests John was an executive of the Oshawa Green Gaels, the Canadian Pony Club and will always be remembered for his passion of horses, sailing and golf. A private family gathering to celebrate John's life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the Canadian Academy of Endodontics Endowment Fund in memory of Dr. John Phillips would be appreciated.
