Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Sunday March 6th, 2005. Ruth McCarl in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Bert McCarl (1989). Devoted mother and best friend to Terry McCarl and Pam Thompson & her husband Bill. Ruth will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Bill, Christy, Becky and Greg Thompson. Lovingly remembered by her sister Betty Gilbert, brother Ross James & his wife Marie and sister in law Marie McVety. Also remembered fondly by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Goldie and Hilda James and her brother Lorne James. Resting at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday March 8th from 7pm to 9pm. A Private Family Service will be held on Wednesday March 9th. Interment at Thornton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial dontaions to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Peacefully on Sunday March 6, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville in her 69th year. Patricia is predeceased by her loved husband Ralph Edward O’Reilly (1995). Beloved mother of Jeff O’Reilly and his wife Shelly of Bowmanville, and Chris O’Reilly (Linda). Loved grandmother of Jessica, Daniel, Brittanie, Stephanie, Katie and Samantha. Dear sister of Carol and her husband Garnet Wariner of Port Perry, Ruth Gibson of Enniskillen, Judy Humble of Beaverton, and George Tawton and his wife Jackie. Fondly remembered by special friends Don Legree and Cathy Sullivan. Friends may visit on Thursday March 10th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Cremation and interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Dear brother of Roy Taylor and predeceased by Esmond Taylor. Peacefully, on Sunday, March 6, 2005, at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, one week before her 100th birthday. Ruth (nee Johnston), dearly loved wife for 62 years to the late J. Grant Thompson (1990). Dear mother of Marion and her husband Dr. Jack Marlow of Dundas, Eleanor (deceased) and her husband Neil Werry (deceased) of Blackstock, and Elaine and her husband Neil Bailey of Blackstock. She will be fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, as well as her many valued friends and relatives. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Naylor and Grace Davis and her brothers George, Bob, Jim, and Jack Johnston. The family of Ruth Thompson will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Wednesday, March 9th from 1 - 2 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with Reverend Karen Bursey officiating. Survived by his son Michael and his wife Nancy, and their two children Andrew and Katie all of Orlando, Florida. Wally will be sadly missed by his close friend Agnes McIntyre of Toronto, and his sisters Elva Leach of Peterborough, Lorraine Wilson of Collingwood, and sister-in-law Mary Seeley of Trenton. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Boy Scouts of Canada would be appreciated.

Cherished Dad of Shane Petty and his wife Allison, Steven Petty and his wife Melissa and Craig Dunfield and his girlfriend Lesley Skelton. Much loved Opa of Sarah, Emily and Rebecca. Dearest brother of Joe Dunfield (deceased) and his wife Annie Dunfield; and family in Europe.
