(Served in Armed forces in WWII. Retired from G.M. with over 30 years of service. Longtime member of Oshawa Golf Club) Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates on Saturday, September 24, 2005. Harry at age 91. Beloved uncle of Karen Coldiron of California, Edwin Michael of Lindsay, Linda and her husband Ron Death of Ashburn, Mike and his wife Judy Hodges of North Carolina, Kathy Michael of Oshawa and Margaret and her partner James Sullivan of Pembrooke. He will be truly missed by his many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers and sister Robert, Norman and Mary Hodges. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 11am. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.

MUNDAY, Margaret (nee Scott) -
Peacefully, on September 24th, 2005 in her 92nd year at Ajax-Pickering Health Centre. Beloved wife of the late William Munday. Loving mother of Nikki Skinner (Art) of Kitchener and George (Gena Hayes) of Ajax. Margaret will be missed by her sisters Betty Hillock, Muriel Baxter, and Doris Osterman. She will also be greatly missed by her 5grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, nieces and nephew. Predeceased by her late brother Ronald (Sonny) Scott. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

STIRLING, Margaret (nee McConaghy) -
After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Stirling, on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at age 70, at her daughter's home, surrounded by family. Her strength, determination and courage was unprecedented. In spite of her pain, her positive outlook and concern for those she loved was an example for all. Beloved mother of Lori Prior (Michael) of Westlake Village, California, Barb Simpson (Bruce Montaigue deceased) of Port Perry, and Shelli McLeod (Don) of Port Perry. Loving grandmother of Shea, Shannon, Robert, Abbie, Megan and Taylor. Predeceased by her sisters Phyllis Brooks and Myrna Cowl. The family of Margaret Stirling will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Thursday, September 29th from 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Port Perry United Church on Friday, September 30th at 1 p.m. Family interment Terrace Lawn Cemetery, North Bay (date and time to be confirmed). If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to Dr. Merrilee Brown who went above and beyond the call of duty.

LITKE, Dorothy Violet -
Peacefully on 23 September 2005, of cancer, in her 77th year, at Lakeridge Whitby, with Donna, Debbie and Bob providing comfort. Dorothy, from Beausejour MB, lived in Burlington, Huntsville, Tillsonburg and latterly at the Court at Brooklin. She is fondly remembered by brother George (Beatrice), sisters Hannah and Eleanor (Roy), 15 nieces and nephew, their spouses and countless friends. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Beausejour. The family is very grateful to the complex continuing care staff at Lakeridge Whitby for tending to Dorothy with love and tenderness for two months. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Oshawa Hospital Foundation or the Durham Cancer Centre.

RESTIVO, Pat -
After spending her final days surrounded by family, Pat passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home on Friday, September 23, 2005 at the age of 65 years. Beloved wife of the late George Restivo. Loved daughter of the late Frank and Gladys Blair, loving mother of Gord and his wife Wanda, Kim, Jan and her husband Brian, Proud Grandma of Katie, Ben, Shawna, Brett, Ty and Michael. Sadly missed by her brothers Chuck (Annie), Dusty (Lil) and the late Danny and all the Blair Family in Fort Erie. Dear friend and niece Terri will always cherish special moments at the lake. Loved daughter – in – law of Sam Restivo, treasured sister – in – law of Linda, Bill and his wife Diana, Susan and her husband Gerry, and niece Brianne. Pat will be greatly missed by all her many friends at Davis Lake. Pat now rests peacefully in the arms of her husband and soul mate George. She will be forever remembered for her insurmountable strength, courage and caring. Friends may pay their respects at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division St., Bowmanville on Monday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service in the MORRIS CHAPEL on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 11 a.m. Cremation at Bowmanville Crematorium. Donations to Oshawa General Hospital Foundation, Oncology Department, or Kinmount District Health Services Foundation (KDHSF) in Pat’s memory would be gratefully appreciated. A heart felt thank you to Dr. Kevin Calhoun, Melissa Casselman, Lyn Small, Lynne Rutherford and especially Sherrie Earle for giving mom the gift of dying as she lived, with humour and dignity.

STONE, Gladys Irene (nee McTaggart) -
Passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 97 years of age. Born in Belleville Ontario, she moved to Oshawa as a young girl and grew up in that city. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Stone (1980) . Loving mother of Kenneth and his wife Madeline of Newcastle, Ontario and Arthur his wife Norma of Windsor, Ontario.
During WWII Gladys worked at the C.I.L. munitions factory in Ajax and later, was with the T. Eaton Co. in Oshawa for 14 years. She retired in 1971. She was the cherished grandmother of eight, great grandmother of sixteen, and great great grandmother of two. Rested at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Funeral Service in the chapel Monday, September 26, 2005 at 2:30pm. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to Charity of your choice would be appreciated. Visitation was held 2-4 & 7-9pm.

Peacefully, at Fairview Lodge in Whitby, on Thursday, September 22, 2005. Mary Morley, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Ken Austin. SMITH (Corden), Margaret Evelyn -
On Thursday September 22nd, 2005 at Hillsdale Estates, Margaret passed away in her 97th year. Predeceased by both parents, her sister Cora and her brother Clarke. Beloved wife of her first husband the late William Corden who passed away in 1964. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Maguire, and her two grandsons Steven Maguire, Craig and his wife Stacey Maguire and her precious great-granddaughter Samantha. Margaret was also predeceased by her loving second husband Charles Smith and two of his children Jack and Anna. His daughter Muriel survives. On her request, cremation and a private family burial will take place at a later date. With a great love of life, a strong will and an unrivalled tenacity, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Possessing a youngness of heart, a quick wit and a playful spirit, her jokes constantly put a smile on those around her. Never complaining she will always be remembered for the way she met life with her very best. We thank God for her life and her love!
