WALLACE – Sandra Mary (1954 – 2008). It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sandra Wallace Lake of Stoughton, SK, announces her tragic passing on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the age of 53 years. Sandra is survived by her loving family: son Joshua (Shannon) Wallace of Stoughton, SK; grandchildren, Nathan, Dillon and Kyle Wallace of Stoughton; parents, John and Iona Lake of Stoughton; brothers, Clifford (Peggy) Lake of Stoughton and Bob Lake of Nelson, B.C.; nephew Jonathan (Cheryl) Lake of Macoun, SK and niece Rylee Iona Lake of Nelson. A Memorial Service for Sandra will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Royal Canadian Legion in Stoughton with Rev. Deborah Laforet officiating. Interment will follow in the Stoughton Town Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan in Sandra’s memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Boire Funeral Home, Estevan (634-8233).

Mitsy Naka
(October 27, 1934 - August 28, 2008)

NAKA – Mitsuko “Mitsy” (1934 – 2008). Mitsy Naka passed away suddenly in her home in Estevan, SK on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Mitsy was predeceased by her parents, Daizo and Natsuye Nakano; son Lane Naka; brother Tim Nakano; brothers-in-law Moss Naka, Issy Naka and Frank Murakami. She is survived by her loving family: husband of 53 years, Tony Naka of Estevan, SK; sons, Terry Naka of Estevan, Gerry (Shelley) Naka of Estevan, Wayne (Leanne) Naka of Estevan and Kingo (Lori) Naka of Estevan; grandchildren, Taylor (Sandy), Brandi (Jody), Ariel (Henry), Nicole, Kiya, Kendra, Kody, Stacee, Joshua and Oren; great grandchildren, Savanah, Peyton, Brady, Tanner, Hailey, Chase and Lennox; sisters, Nancy, Kay, Rumi, Linda, Mary and Flo; brothers, Harry and Roy; sisters-in-law, Tammy Nakano and Mary Murakami, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Mitsy will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Paul’s United Church, Estevan, with Pastor Dave Mickalishen officiating. Those so wishing may make donations to The Arthritis Society, #110 - 2550 - 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 3X1, or through www.arthritis.ca in Mitsy’s memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Boire Funeral Home, Estevan (634-8233).

Doreen Gilby
(October 10, 1924 - August 6, 2008)

GILBY – On Wednesday, August 6, 2008, Doreen Gilby, late of Stoughton, SK, passed away in Regina, SK at the age of 83 years. Doreen was predeceased by her husband Ray Gilby; granddaughter Meagan Gilby; sister Lila Fenn and brother Bert Richardson. She is survived by her loving family: three children, Douglas (Marg) Gilby of Lloydminster, AB, Patricia Stach of Calgary, AB and Ralph (Shelley) Gilby of Langley, B.C.; three grandchildren, Alana and Curtis Stach and Trevor (Jody) Gilby and three great grandchildren Hannah, Avery and Liam Gilby. She also leaves to mourn her brother Russell (Edna) Richardson and sister-in-law Rita Richardson. Doreen was a loving mother and friend. She will be greatly missed by many.

A Memorial Service for Doreen will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Royal Canadian Legion, Stoughton, with Rev. Deborah Laforet officiating. Interment will follow in the Stoughton Town Cemetery. Pallbearers are Alana Stach, Curtis Stach, Tia Froh, Trevor Gilby, Jody Gilby, Andrea Goudy, Gary Goudy, Gary Robert Goudy, Darrell Noyes and Sherry Noyes. All in attendance at the Memorial Service and all those who shared in Doreen’s life are considered honourary pallbearers. Those so wishing may make donations to the Stoughton & District Volunteer Ambulance or the Stoughton Drop-In Centre in memory of Doreen Gilby. Funeral arrangements are in care of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan (634-8233).

June “Sput” Blondeau
(January 24, 1958 - Died December 1, 2008)

BLONDEAU – June Ellen “Sput” (1958 – 2008). June “Sput” Blondeau, late of Estevan, SK, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Estevan on Monday, December 1, 2008 at the age of 50 years. June was predeceased by her parents, James and Josephine Blondeau and daughter-in-law Allison Upcott. She is survived by her loving family: children, Curtis (Angela) Shiels of Melville, SK, Carrie (Chris) Wanner of Estevan and Robbie (Nichole) Shiels of Estevan; grandchildren, Robbie, Kelsey and Shelby Shiels, Desirae and Addison Shiels and Pilsner Wanner; siblings, Joanna Potyondi (Emil), Faye Bathie, Dolly Chartrand (Noel) and Roger (Maggie) Blondeau, as well as a large extended family and very special friends. VISITATION will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan, by Rev. Joel Rama. Cremation will follow. Those so wishing may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in June’s memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dustin Hall of HALL FUNERAL SERVICES, Estevan (634-8233).

Irene “Renee” Leniczek
(March 6, 1921 - Died December 8, 2008)

LENICZEK – Irene “Renee”, late of Estevan, SK, passed away in Regina, SK on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Renee was predeceased by her parents, George and Elizabeth Sherburn; her husband Jack in 2006 and numerous in-laws. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special friends. VISITATION will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2008, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Giles Anglican Church, Estevan. The Rev. Mike Sinclair will officiate. Interment will follow in the Estevan City Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to St. Giles Anglican Church, Estevan, in Renee’s memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dustin Hall of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan (634-8233).

Ada Rose Woods
(Jan. 18, 1922 - Died December 9, 2008)

WOODS – Ada Rose Woods, late of Arcola, SK, passed away in Arcola on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Ada was predeceased by her husband Floyd; parents, Edgar and Grace Linton; sisters, Anne and Evelyn; sisters-in-law Maude, Hazel, Alberta and Edna and brother-in-law Wesley. She is survived by her loving family: son Ken (Lois) Woods; two granddaughters, Lori (Chad) Chapman and Brenda (Kevin) Slykhuis; five great grandchildren, Ashley, Mathew, Sheredin, Kaedin and Makenna; sister-in-law Velma and brothers-in-law, Paul, Les and Charlie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Arcola Cemetery, Arcola, SK, with Rev. Michelle Moore officiating. Those so wishing may make donations to the Arcola Health Centre Auxiliary, Arcola, SK, in Ada’s memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dustin Hall of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan (634-8233).

Theresa Marie Robinson
(June 12, 1931 - February 10, 2008)

ROBINSON – On Sunday, February 10, 2008, Theresa Marie Robinson, late of Moose Jaw, SK, and formerly of Lampman, SK and Carlyle, SK, passed away in Moose Jaw at the age of 76 years. Theresa was predeceased by her husband George Robinson; parents, Irene and Harvey Brasseur; brother Joseph and granddaughter Janna Merkel. She is survived by her five children, Dwight (Kelly), Alice (Jack), Joanne (Jim), Shirley (Paul) and Gail; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Ivy Brasseur and brother-in-law Dave Robinson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. from the chapel of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Church of Our Lady R.C. Church, Carlyle, by Rev. Fr. David Banga. Interment will follow in Glen Morris Cemetery, Carlyle. Those so wishing may make donations to Providence Place, 100 – 2nd Avenue N.E., Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 1B8, in memory of Theresa Robinson. Lawrence Ludwig
(May 27, 1917 - January 12, 2008)

LUDWIG - On Saturday, January 12, 2008, Lawrence Ludwig, late of Lampman, SK, passed away in Lampman at the age of 90 years. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents; wife Mary Anne; grandson Troy Langer; two brothers, Herbert & Joseph Ludwig and three sisters, Clara Nadon, Irene Koch and Marie Vetter. He is survived by his loving family: Dennis Ludwig of Winnipeg, MB, Connie (Dieter) Langer of Camrose, AB, Brad (Colleen) Ludwig of Millet, AB, Lynne Ludwig of Saskatoon, SK , Laura Ludwig of Regina, SK, Tim (Louise) Ludwig of Sherwood Park, AB, Ray (Kathleen) Ludwig of Calgary, AB, Beryl Ludwig of Saskatoon and Perry (Cindy) Ludwig of Maple Creek, SK; 22 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother Irvin (Barbara) Ludwig of Estevan, SK, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Prayer Service was held on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Seven Sorrows R.C. Church, Lampman. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Seven Sorrows R.C. Church, Lampman, by Rev. Fr. Leonardo Tamayo. Interment followed in Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Parish Cemetery, Lampman. Those so wishing may make donations to the Lampman Community Health Center in memory of Lawrence Ludwig. Funeral arrangements were in care of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan (634-8233).

Raymond Marsh
(June 2, 1927 - January 13, 2008)

MARSH – On Sunday, January 13, 2008, Raymond Marsh, late of Arcola, SK, passed away in Carlyle, SK at the age of 80 years. Raymond is survived by his wife Kathleen of Arcola, SK; two daughters, Audrey (Roger) Le Nouail of Parkman, SK and Marilyn Larsen of Parkman; five grandchildren, Isaac (Jen) Marsh of Arcola, Tamara (Kim) McMillan of Kelowna, B.C., Axel Larsen and Matthew & Erin Le Nouail; five great grandchildren; sister Velma Askin of Regina, SK; nephew Daryll (Susan) Askin of Regina; niece Marlene (Kim) Sauter of Regina and six great nieces and nephews. Raymond was predeceased by his son Don Marsh; son-in-law Ed Larsen and brother-in-law Ken Askin. Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Arcola Cemetery, with Shirley Liable officiating. Those so wishing may make donations to Moose Mountain Lodge, Carlyle, in memory of Raymond Marsh. Funeral arrangements are in care of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan (634-8233).
