Valmond Vautour
1925-2009
St. Louis de Kent, NB - Valmond Vautour, 83, of St. Louis de Kent passed away peacefully at La Villa Maria on Sunday, February 22, 2009. Born in St. Louis de Kent he was the son of the late Joseph and Malanie (Daigle) Vautour.
Retired, Valmond ha been a Lumberjack and had also worked in a factory in the USA. Valmond will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Célanire (late Edgar) Robichaud of Richibucto, Lorraine McGrath of Saint John, Semida Ruel (Don) of San Diego, California, Marie Hasselman (Arthur) of Hartford, Victoria LeGresly) (Louis) of Toronto, ON, Gerald Vautour of Sabatus, Maine, Aurea (Joseph) LeGresley of Toronto, On and several nieces and nephews. Valmond was predeceased by four brothers, Emery, Adrien, Ulysse and Armand.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Friday at 1:00 pm until departure for funeral. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis de Français Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Internment in the parish cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).

Augustin (Angus) Robichaud
1928-2009
ST. CHARLES, NB - Angus Robichaud, 80, of St. Charles passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009. Born in St. Charles he was the son of the late Daniel and Alma (Malley) Robichaud.
Angus served in the Canadian Army for 12 years and also worked in Saint John in building management for many years.
Angus will be sadly missed by his wife Sylvia, his daughter Gisele Pike, his son Ron Robichaud, five grand children; Mark, Monica, Kevin, Michael, Maureen, great grandson; Brady, six sisters; Leona (Vinny), Florence (Alfred), Irene (Bernard), Elsie (Francis), Therese (late Isidore), Maria (Laurent), one brother; John (late Jesse), many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by two brothers Aurele (Carol) and Alvin, and two step children; Joy Churchill and John Walsh.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. A funeral Mass will be held at the St. Charles Borromée Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. If so desired donations to the New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family (family flowers only). Leonard Francis
1923-2009
ELSIPOGTOG, NB – Leonard Francis, 85, of Elsipogtog passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, February 26th, 2009. Born in Elsipogtog he was the son of the late John Stephen and Madeline (Paul) Francis. Leonard served overseas in the Royal Canadian Army during WW II as a part of the Fourth Anti Tank Regiment RCA under the Fifth Armored Division.
Leonard will be sadly missed by his 5 daughters; Janny Heemskerk of Holland, Marion Francis, Josie Augustine, Karen Francis, and Carol Sock all of Elsipogtog, 2 sons; Stephen Leonard Francis and Harvey Francis both of Elsipogtog, 29 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Annie Jane (Joseph) Francis, 4 brothers; Andrew, Simon, Douglas, and Joe Albert.
Resting at his home at 61 Hill Street, Elsipogtog beginning on Sunday. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252)

Paulette Savoie
MONCTON, NB - Paulette Savoie, 57, of Moncton passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, March 8th, 2009. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Fred Guimond and Laura (Gallant) Guimond.
Paulette will be sadly missed by her mother; Laura, two sons; Marcel Savoie (Martha) of Richibucto, Alfred Savoie of Aldouane, five grand children, one sister; Georgette Sprague (Richard) of Havelock, two brothers; Reno Guimond (Murielle Poirier) of St. Louis, Ronald Guimond of Moncton and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9, Thursday at 1:00 pm until time of funeral. A funeral service will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto on Thursday, March 12th, 2009 at 3:00 pm. If so desired donations to the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).

Lorestine Comeau
1921-2009
Aldouane, NB - Lorestine Comeau, 87, of Aldouane passed away peacefully at La Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent, Thursday, March 12, 2009. Born in Aldouane she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Beatrice (Comeau) Savoie.
Lorestine will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Huberte Robichaud (late Leonard), Alice Caissie (Edouard) both of Aldouane, one son, Ernest (Monique) of Aldouane, one brother, Elide Savoie (Yvonne) of St. Charles, a half brother, Emile Cormier (Noella) of Rexton, 13 grand children, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lorestine was predeceased by her husband, Hubert and her daughter, Ida Richard.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Monday at 11 am until departure for funeral. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 1 pm. Interment in the Aldouane Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).

Baby Jolie Tianna Bella-Marie Joseph

ELSIPOGTOG, NB - Baby Jolie Tianna Bella-Marie Joseph passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on Friday, March 13th, 2009. Born in Moncton, Jolie was the daughter of Cody Joseph and Lindsay Paul.
Survived by her parents Cody Joseph and Lindsay Paul, paternal grandparents; Peter and Anita Joseph, maternal grandmother; Mary Paul.
Resting at Ste. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog with visitation on Tuesday, March 17th, 2009 at 1:00 pm until time of funeral. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 17th, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Internment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252)

1927-2009
REXTON, NB - Laura Cormier, 81, of Rexton passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Friday, March 20th, 2009. Born in Claire-Fontaine she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Sarah (Hebert) Daigle. Laura was a member of the Rexton Golden Age Club.
Laura will be sadly missed by her two daughters; Alida Fagan (John) of Richibouctou-Village, Corinne Arsenault (Dean) of Edmonton, Alberta, five sons; Antoine Cormier (Lisa Blanchard) of Rexton, Daniel Cormier (Jeannita) of Rexton, Odilon Cormier (Maria Martin) of Richibouctou-Village, Eric Cormier of Bouctouche, Rhéal Cormier (Lori) of Edmonton, Alberta, 10 grand children, 8 great grand children, one sister; Hélène Bansfield (late Stanley) of Oshawa, Ontario, three brothers; Vincent Daigle (Jeanette) of St. Louis de Kent, William Daigle (Ann) of Rexton, Thomas Daigle (Linda) of Kouchibouguac, several nieces and nephews, very special friend Marian Crossfield and also leaves behind Lorena and Lucille Cormier.
Predeceased by her husband; Joseph Cormier, one daughter; Hélène Cormier, and one brother; Pierre Daigle.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9, Monday 2-4 & 7-9, Tuesday at 5:00 pm until departure for funeral. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Interment will be in the spring. Lillian Catherine Ward
1913-2009
ROTHESAY, NB – Lillian Catherine Ward née Stevenson, 95, of Saint John, formerly of Molus River, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John on Friday, March 20th, 2009. Born in Molus River she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Emma (Dunlay) Stevenson and wife of the late George Ward.
For many years Lillian was an active member of the Carleton York Veterans and Wives Association also actively involved in the Carleton Kirk United Church in Saint John. She lived with her niece Joan in Rothesay and recently moved into the Carleton Kirk Lodge. She will be sadly missed by her niece Joan Theriault (Clifford) and by Kathryn Robichaud (Robert) and by Dawn Roberts and Vince and by Richard Andrews (Stella) and by several other nieces and nephews.
The last surviving member of her immediate family she was predeceased by her husband; George Ward, son; Ralph Stevenson (1952), sister; Ann Roberts, two brothers; James Earl and William Stevenson.
If so desired donations may be made in Lillian’s memory to the Carleton Kirk United Church or SPCA. There will be a memorial service to be held at a late date. Arrangements in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252)
