JOSEPH CLIFFORD (BILL) KIROUAC
Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on August 10, 2002, Mr. Joseph Clifford (Bill) Kirouac, husband of E. Jean (Holt) Kirouac of 264 Ellerdale Street, Saint John, N. B. Born in Grand Anse, NB on April 17, 1929, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary (McIntosh) Kirouac. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Bill is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons, Richard and Ronald, both of Hamilton, Ontario; one grandson
, Kyle, of Hamilton; two brothers, Raymond (Yolande) of Welland, ON and Albert (Helen) of Keswick, On; three sisters, Lucy (Peter) Danylewich and Wanda (John) Danylewich, both of Laval, Quebec and Margaret (David) Coture of Quebec City; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Allan and a stepbrother, Edward O’Grady.
Prior to his retirement, Bill had been employed by Stelco as a steelworker for 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and going to his camp. Other than his family and friends, Bill also enjoyed spending time with his dogs.
By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Memorial service will be held at the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel of the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street. St. George, NB (755-3533) on Wednesday at 2 PM with Rev. Mary Ann Langmaid officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home chapel prior to the service, from 1 to 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Charlotte County SPCA or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Marjorie Price
Peacefully at Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on July 28, 2002, Mrs. Marjorie Price of St. Andrews, NB.
Survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann South of St. Andrews, NB; two grandchildren, Karen Rachel South of Toronto, ON and Carl (Adrian) South of Victoria, BC. By request, there will be no visitation or service. Donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

HAROLD ALBION CORNING
At St. George, NB on September 21, 2002, Mr. Harold Albion Corning of St. George, NB. Born in Waweig, NB on June 3, 1925, he was a son of Bessie A. (McLaughlin) Corning of St. George and the late Albion Porter Corning. Besides his mother, Harold is survived by one brother, Donald Corning of St. George; two sisters, Irma Gray of Welland, Ontario and Reta Corning of London, Ontario; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Harold had been a skilled tradesman in his earlier years, especially electrical and worked with various employers throughout the area. He had also been a school teacher having taught in Elmsville and surrounding areas for a number of years.
By his request, Harold’s remains have been forwarded for medical research. A Memorial service will be held at a time and place to be announced. For those who wish, donations may be made in Harold’s memory to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. RALPH EUGENE MULLIN
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness at Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on October 11th, 2002, Mr. Ralph Eugene Mullin passed into the presence of God, with his loving family by his side. Ralph was born in St. George, NB on April 9, 1923, a son of the late Michael Edwin and Mary Naomi (Mahar) Mullin. A loving brother and uncle, “Peanut”, as he was fondly known, is survived by two sisters, Mary of Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, NB and Madeline Elliott of St. George; two brothers, Paul (Elaine) and Gary (Gail), both of St. George; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by four brothers, Hubert, Edwin, John and Joseph and one sister, Beatrice Lirette.
Ralph had been employed by the Department of Transportation in St. George for 26 years, before his health failed. He was a member of St. George’s Catholic Church, a veteran of WW2 and he loved animals.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533) where the family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Prayers will be offered at 8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, St. Andrews, NB on Monday at 11 AM, followed by interment at the St. George Catholic Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will be held at the St. George Legion Hall. For those who wish, donations to the St. George Catholic Church Building Fund, the Passamaquoddy Lodge Nursing Home or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Lydie Mildred Allen
Peacefully at Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on November 15, 2002, Mrs. Lydie Mildred (Campbell) Allen, wife of the late Dr. James R. A. Allen of 41 Campbell Hill Road, St. George, NB. Born at L’Etete on July 21, 1911, she was a daughter of the late William and Pearl (Dick) Campbell. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by one son, David (Sandra) of Ottawa, Ontario; one daughter, Rosslyn of St. George, NB; three grandchildren, Glory, Charity, and Skye Bryant; one brother, Steve (Bernice) Campbell of Breadalbane; one sister, Rhoda Palmer of St. Andrews, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lydie was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, sewing and was a great cook. A longtime resident of St. George, she maintained her residence for 87 years. She was a member of the St. George Baptist Church.
There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial service will be held at the St. George Baptist Church on Monday at 2 PM followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Passamaquoddy Lodge Alzheimer’s Wing or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Stuart Milton Barrio
Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on November 3, 2002, Mr. Stuart Milton Barrio, husband of Judith (Carvell) Barrio of 160 South Street, St. George, NB. Born at Blacks Harbour on October 5, 1967, he was the son of Phyllis (Gowan) Belliveau and the late Willard Barrio. A loving husband, father, son and brother, he is survived by his wife, Judy; three boys, Kyle and Brad Crichton, both of Chamcook and Vance Barrio of St. George; his mother, Phyllis (Barrio) Belliveau and companion, Murray Watson of St. George; three sisters, Wanda, Mrs. Eric Kohler of Johnson Settlement, NB; Rosalie, Mrs. Darcy Brittain of Clarence Ridge and Tammy Barrio (John Hatt) of Chamcook; three nephews, four nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father.
Stuart was employed by Stolt Sea Farm as a Sea Captain. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533) from where the family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held from the St. George Baptist Church on Thursday at 2 pm followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes. Association or to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Samuel “Happy” Beney
April 2, 1927 - October 28, 2002
Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on October 28, 2002, Mr. Samuel “Happy” Beney of #380 Route 176, Pennfield, NB and husband of Ruth Marie (Anthony) Beney. Born in Second Falls, NB on April 2, 1927, he was a son of the late Samuel and Viola (Beney) Beney. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ruth; one son, Melvin (Sherry); three granddaughters, Chastity Seeley (Philip) of St. George; Shannon Blanchard (Paul) of Blacks Harbour and Kristen Beney of Pennfield; three great granddaughters, Justine, Ashley and Katherine; special sister-in-law, Lillian Justason (Vance) of Grand Bay-Westfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four brothers, Otis, Warren, Arthur and Vincent and four sisters, Irene, Marion, Bessie and Beatrice.
Happy was an avid hunter and fisherman. A gifted craftsman, he enjoyed auto mechanics and woodworking.
Resting at the Family Worship Center, 90 Lower Letang Road, St. George, NB from where the service will be held on Thursday at 4 pm, followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Miriam Elizabeth (Rooney) Brown
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on December 4, 2002, Mrs. Miriam Elizabeth (Rooney) Brown of 1 Haggerty’s Cove Road, New River Beach, N. B. wife of Ernest F. Brown. Born at St. Stephen April 15, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Theobald and Kathleen (Hayden) Rooney. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 56 years; seven daughters, Kathleen (Lester) Legacy of New River; Ernestine (Paul) Saulnier of Metaghan, NS; Brenda (George) Tweety of Oshawa, On; Olive (Eldon) Fox of Canterbury; Pamla (Blake) Doucette of Pennfield; Mary (Glen) Dow of Woodstock and Dorothy (Wilfred) McAdam of Seeley's Cove, NB; two sons, Ernest Jr. of New River and Ronald (Dawn) of Quispamsis; 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; one sister, Geraldine McNabb and one brother, Theobald Rooney, both of St. Andrews; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters.
Miriam enjoyed watching birds and knitting. She loved all holidays, but her favorite time of the year was Christmas.
