George Henry Boudreau
1926-2008
Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 3rd, 2008, Mr. George Henry Boudreau, husband of Alda Marie (Belliveau) Boudreau of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Woodvale NS on January 7th, 1926, he was a son of the late Terrance and Nellie (Saulnier) Boudreau. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife Alda, two sons; Emile (Judy) Boudreau and Ernest (Wendy) Boudreau both of Pennfield, two daughters; Annette Boudreau (Raymond Breau) and Lorraine (Richard) Hooper also of Pennfield, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
George worked for Connors Brothers in Blacks Harbour for 39 years. He enjoyed spending time woodworking, waving to his friends from his front window and spending time with his family and many friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church at Blacks Harbour at 12 noon followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Flora Kathryn "Kay" (Pendleton) O'Neill
1916-2008
Peacefully at her residence, at Blacks Harbour NB on June 9th, 2008, Mrs. Flora Kathryn "Kay" (Pendleton) O’Neill, wife of the late Arthur Edward O’Neill of Blacks Harbour. Born at Deer Island NB on October 11th, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Madeline (Stuart) Pendleton. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Kay is survived by one son, Francis (Theresa) O’Neill of Pennfield NB, five daughters; Janet (Frank) Cronin of Fredericton NB, Glenna (Bob) Leavitt and Anita Hennessey both of Blacks Harbour, Sharon (Jay) Likely of Calgary AB and Sheila (Myer) Yanofsky of Utopia NB, 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one brother, Keith (Bellman) Pendelton of Deer Island, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by one son, James David O’Neill, two sisters; Leona Eldridge and Beatrice Waite, and two brothers; Chandler and Maurice Pendleton.
Prior to her retirement, Kay worked for Connors Bros. for many years, both in the factory and later in the retail store. She loved knitting, crocheting and gardening. She was devoted mother to her children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church at Blacks Harbour on Friday at 12:00 noon with interment at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Ronald Vincent Craig
1912-2008
Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on June 13, 2008, Mr. Ronald Vincent Craig, loving husband of Minerva Avis (Cross) Craig of St. George NB. Born in Tryon NB on October 22, 1912 he was a son of the late Charles Alvin and Margaret May (Wilson) Craig.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Ron is survived by: two sons; Bill (Carroll) Craig of Rollingdam NB and Paul (Brenda) Craig of Cumberland Bay NB. One daughter; Mary Beaudry of St. George NB, 10 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one grandson Kevin Beaudry, and four brothers; Murray, John, Paul and Charles.
Ron was a self employed barber by trade and was well known to many in the St. George area who frequented his shop over the years for a trim and to get caught up on the local news. He was an avid outdoorsman who in earlier years loved hunting and fishing. Ron also was a member of the Presbyterian Kirk, St. George as well as the St. George Masonic Lodge # 12 F&AM where he was a former past master.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home and Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The service will be held on Monday at 2 pm from the Presbyterian Kirk, St. George with Rev. Basil Lowery officiating followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. In Ron’s memory, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Presbyterian Kirk, St. George or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. The St. George Masonic Lodge #12 F&AM will be holding their tribute service at the funeral home on Saturday at 7:00 PM.

R. Arlene Johnston
1938-2008
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB, surrounded by her family, following a lengthy illness on August 20, 2008, Mrs. R. Arlene (Leighton) Johnston, wife of Clarence Johnston of Pennfield NB. Born at Beaver Harbour NB on April 24, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Glenna (Hawkins) Leighton. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Clarence, three sons; Perry Johnston (April Fraser) of Pennfield, Gerry (Lisa) Johnston of Lorneville NB and Jody Johnston (Shannan Waite) of Oak Bay NB, two daughters; Connie (Terry) Hurst and Gina (Barry) Leslie both of Pennfield, 8 grandchildren; Heather, Sarah, Ben, Melinda, Amanda, Gina, Jolene and Cheryl-Anne, four great grandchildren; Ashlynn, Memphis, Riley and Austin, five sisters; Frances Spear and Linda Holmes (John Bires) of Pennfield, Audrey (Eugene) Garnett of Saint John, Janet Leighton of Pennfield and Lana (Ricky) Polland of Back bay NB, three brothers; Edwin (Maria) Leighton of Pennfield, Reid (Joan) Leighton and Carson (Bonnie) Leighton both of Back Bay and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Arlene was predeceased by one grandson, Bobby-Lee Johnston.
Arlene was a loving wife, mother, housewife and homemaker. She loved music, especially Bluegrass and Gospel. She enjoyed traveling as well as knitting and quilting and was an avid gardener. She was a member of the Pennfield Baptist Church and active in many church functions including “His Servants” and the Choir. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
A celebration of Arlene’s life will be held at the Pennfield Baptist Church on Monday at 2:00 pm with the interment following at Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In Arlene's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, The Canadian Diabetes. Association or to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Robin Glenmore Carter
1957-2008
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on August 5th, 2008. Mr. Robin Glenmore Carter, husband of Mrs. Helen (Lewis) Carter of Seeley’s Cove NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on January 20, 1957, he was a son of the late Delbert and Marion Belle (Sellars) Carter. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his wife Helen, one son, Aaron Carter of Seeley’s Cove, two daughters; Jennifer (E.J.) Pitre of Blacks Harbour, Stefany Carter (Josh) of Bethel NB, three granddaughters; Mikayla, Grace and Sophie, four brothers; Edgar (Karen) Carter of Mascarene NB, Perry (Karrie) Carter, Eldon (Mary) Carter and Sheldon Carter all of Seeley’s Cove, two sisters; Debbie (David) Eagles and Lyda (Louis) Leger both of Moncton NB, one sister in law, Annette Carter of Seeley’s Cove and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Robin was predeceased by one brother, Elliott Carter.
Robin was a man of the water and until his passing had acted as president of the Fundy Weir Fisherman’s Association and president and member of the Harbour Authority of Seeley’s Cove. He was a past president of the Fundy North Fisherman’s Association and served on many boards and committee’s to better the fishing industry in Southwestern New Brunswick. Robin also was a member of the local Service District of Pennfield and former Deputy Chief and Firefighter with the Pennfield Volunteer Fire Department from its beginning. He was also a member of Christ Church (Anglican) in Pennfield and member of the Masonic Lodge # 12 F&AM of St. George NB. Robin was a very active member in his local community and the fishing industry and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Resting at the Pennfield Baptist Church, Pennfield NB from where the service will be held on Friday at 4:00 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. The interment will follow the service at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church will take place on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the St. George Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. L. Roberta Young
1927-2008
Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB, surrounded by her family, on August 25, 2008, Mrs. L. Roberta (Justason) Young, wife of Eldon I. Young of Pennfield NB. Born at St. George NB on November 25, 1927, she was a daughter of the late George and Viola (Barry) Maxwell. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Roberta is survived by her husband, Eldon, two sons; William (Peggy) Justason and Barry (Sonja) Justason both of Pennfield, four grandchildren; Angela Justason (Paul) of Kemptville ON, Amanda Justason (Bruce Noble) of Sydney NS, Gregory (Megan) Justason of St. George and Lisa Justason of Pennfield, two great grandsons; Evan Borthwick and Samuel Noble, four step daughters; Iris, Judith, Deborah and Cynthia, one step son, Edward (Iona) Young of Pennfield, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister, Margaret Moore of Garnet Settlement NB, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Roberta was predeceased by her first husband Roy Justason, one son Brian, three sisters; Olive Maxwell, Evelyn Cross and Louise Wright.
Roberta was employed in the food industry for many years and managed the Strand Restaurant in Blacks Harbour for 20 years. She was a member of the Pennfield Baptist Church and loved her Lord and Saviour. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch # 40 in St. George.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held from the St. George Baptist Church on Thursday at 2:00 pm with interment following at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In Roberta's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Howard Elwood Camick
1921-2008
The death of Howard Elwood Camick of Leonardville NB, husband of the late Kathryn (Rogerson) Camick, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on August 28, 2008. Born at North West Harbour NB on April 14, 1921, he was a son of the late William and Stella (Cook) Camick. A loving father, grandfather and brother, Howard is survived by two sons; Carl (Anne) Camick and Danny Camick both of Leonardville, one daughter, Glenda (Garnett) Green of Fairhaven NB, two grandchildren; Brendon (Colleen) Green of Leonardville and Katrina (Tim) Martin of Richardson NB, three great grandchildren; Jared and Ashley Green and Hayden Martin, two sisters; Sarah “Sadie” Arbeau of Leonardville and Hazel Justason of Richardson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, Kathryn, Howard was predeceased by two brothers; Franklin and Edward, and two sisters; Effie Bradford and Lillian Doughty.
Howard was a life long fisherman, working in various aspects of the industry, retiring from the Weir and Lobster fishery a few years ago. He was a member of the Fundy Weir Fisherman Association. Howard also was a member of the Leonardville Church of Christ for many years and served as Deacon and as a choir member. He was a member of the former Deer Island Men’s Choir.
Resting at the Leonardville Church of Christ, Leonardville NB from where the service will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Geoff Conley and Rev. Joel Bridges officiating, followed by interment at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery at Calder’s Head. Visiting at the Church on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Howard’s memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB
