Albert Omar Morehouse
1941-2010
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on March 14, 2010, Mr. Albert Omar Morehouse of St. Stephen NB. Born at Saint John NB on July 31, 1941, he was the son of the late Lindsay and Avis (Clifford) Morehouse. Albert is survived by two daughters; Laureen (Michael) McNair of Bathurst NB and Lorraine Morehouse of Fredericton NB, one son, Robert (Jody) Morehouse of Kingston NB, three grandchildren; Kevin, Christopher and Logan, one aunt, Lena Morehouse of Pennfield NB and several cousins.
By Albert's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel, St. George NB, on Wednesday at 2PM with Rev. Canon John Matheson officiating. The interment will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. In Albert's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB.

Kenneth L. Paul
Kenneth L. Paul, 86, of New Port Richey, FL and Beaver Harbour, N. B., Canada, died unexpectedly from complications of pneumonia on March 11, 2010 at Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Ken was born on September 26, 1923 in Beaver Harbour and was the son of the late C. Allen and Vera A. (Justason) Paul.
Ken served over three years for HMCS in the Canadian Navy during WWII. Upon discharge in 1945, he attended Saint John Vocation Technical School. After working in a machine shop for several years and then for Irving Pulp and Paper in Saint John, N.B., Ken began a long career for Cives Corporation out of their plants in Gouverneur, NY; Augusta, ME; Syracuse, NY; and Atlanta, GA. He began as a field foreman and worked all over the United States as the company expanded. Ken retired in 1984 as Vice President of Erection.
Ken is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lucine (Dawson) Paul; daughter Valerie and her sons Nathan and Paul; daughter Heather and her sons Ryan and Dylan; and daughter Jennifer and her sons Kyle and Nick. Ken was predeceased by his brothers Clifford, Daryl, Weldon, Norman, and his sister Joyce.
Resting at the St George Funeral Home & Crematorium, 26 Portage St, St .George NB., with visiting hours on Tuesday, March 23 2010, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 24 2010 at 2 pm from the Christ Church (Anglican) at Pennfield NB., with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Ronald Eldridge Leslie
1930-2010
At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on March 21, 2010, Mr. Ronald Eldridge Leslie, husband of the late Edith (Hooper) Leslie of Fairhaven NB. Born at Calais ME on July 8, 1930, he was a son of the late Ronald and Mildred (Greene) Leslie. A loving brother, uncle, cousin and friend he is survived by one brother, Gerald Leslie of Mt. Uniack NS, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and his wife Edith, he was predeceased by one son, David, one sister, Irma Leslie.
Ronald was a self employed labourer who worked many jobs which included fishing for a number of years on Deer Island NB. He was a member of the Fairhaven Baptist Church and also a member of the Fundy Weir Fisherman’s Association. He enjoyed the simple things and loved collecting antiques and polishing stones. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.
There will be no visitation, however a funeral service will be held from the Fairhaven Baptist Church, Deer Island NB on Thursday at 2 pm with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating, followed by the interment at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery, Calders Head NB. In Ronald’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Stephen John Mahar
1948-2010
Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on March 24, 2010, Mr. Stephen John Mahar of Utopia NB, loving companion of Ms. Bernice Cook of Pennfield NB, and husband of the late Lorraine (Munn) Mahar. Born at Saint John NB on September 1, 1948, he was a son of Miss Marion Jane Mahar. A loving companion, son, father and grandfather, in addition to his companion Bernice, he is survived by his mother, Marion Mahar of Utopia NB, four daughters; Christina Mahar (Jeff Campbell) of Utopia NB, Stephanie (John) Mahar-Kelson of Pennfield NB, Anne (Drew) Barrio and Jennifer (Jeff) Janes both of Utopia NB, 11 granddaughters; Kirsten Kelson, Samantha Barrio, Jerika Shaw, Aleesha Barrio, Kyra Kelson, Rayna Kelson, Brenna Kelson, Breeanna Barrio, Mackenzie Janes, Kaylee Janes and Jaden Campbell, two grandsons; Jarred Shaw and Jordan Janes, one uncle; John (Gladys) Mahar of Lincoln NB, three aunts; Irene Stewart of Saint John NB, Ann (Gerry) Dybish of Winnipeg Man. and June Kingston of Utopia as well as several cousins.
Stephen was a Welder by trade and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the St. George Masonic Lodge # 12 F&AM. Stephen was well known and will be sadly missed.
Resting the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held from the Pennfield Baptist Church on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. The interment will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. In Stephen’s memory, donations to the NB Lung Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Marvin William Nelson
1928-2010
At the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home, Saint John NB on March 25, 2010, Mr. Marvin William Nelson, husband of Mrs. Eleanor (Foster) Nelson. A devoted husband and uncle, in addition to his loving wife Eleanor, he is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prior to his retirement, Marvin was an Electrician by trade who tended to many of the lighthouses throughout the area, for Transport Canada. Marvin served for the American Army as a Radar Operator from 1945 until 1949. He served in Germany and received the World War II victory medal. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Sunday at 3 pm with Rev. Robert Meister officiating. The interment will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the funeral home will be held on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Marvin’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Wayne Allen Tucker
1945-2010
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on March 29, 2010, Mr. Wayne Allen Tucker, husband of Lil (Arsenault) Tucker of L’Etete NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on April 10, 1945, he was a son of the late Russell and Helen (Justason) Tucker. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and nephew, in addition to his loving wife, Lil, he is survived by three sons; Allen (Ellen) Tucker of St. George NB, Richard (Liane) Tucker of Smith Falls ON and Jeff (Laura) Tucker of Blacks Harbour NB, one daughter, Stacey Tucker (Jim Flynn) of L’Etete NB, 11 grandchildren, one brother, Glen (Dianne) Tucker of L’Etang NB, one sister in law, Anna Marie Leavitt of L’Etete NB, one aunt, Vivian Surrette of St. George NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Ross Calvin Tucker.
Prior to his retirement, Wayne was a Furnace repairman by trade, but had worked the last few years with Security at Point Lepreau. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and spend time at the camp and was known to have a special passion for Moose Hunting. He was also known to be a conversationalist who loved to socialize wherever he went. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Resting at the Wesleyan Church, Blacks Harbour NB from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm with Rev. Jeff Hoyt officiating. Visiting at the church will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Edwin Raymond Frye
1920-2010
Peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB, on April 11, 2010, Mr. Edwin Raymond Frye, husband of the late Norah (Gaddess) Frye, formerly of St. George NB. Born at Malden MA, on February 3, 1920 he was a son of the late Herbert R. and Daisy B. (Richardson) Frye. A loving father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by three daughters; Daisy (James) Barry of St. George NB, Judith Frye of Virginia and Noranne (Gilbert) Stuart of Deer Island NB, one son, Stephen (Kathi) Frye of Texas, 11 grandchildren; George “Joe” (Karen) Martin, Steven (Sara) Martin, Tara (David) Moeller, Darcy (Jarod) Huggins, Shelly (Mark) Matheson, Tanya Barry (David), Nyall Frye, Michael (Jodi) Frye, Matthew (Erica) Stuart, Stephen (Krista) Stuart and Charlene Barry, ten great grandchildren; Kiesha, Chelsea, Rachel, Cameron, Caitlyn, Madeleine, Stephanie, Felicia, Isaac and Luke, one brother, James Frye of Maine and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Edwin was predeceased by two sons, George and Raymond, one daughter, Mary Leslie, two brothers; Harry and Charles and two sisters; Jessie Small and Frances Reid.
Edwin was a life long resident of the local area who was a boatman by trade, working for Connor’s Bros. for several years. He loved working on engines and was an auto racing enthusiast. He enjoyed four wheeling, biking and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
At Edwin’s request, there will be no visitation. A service will be held at the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2 pm with Rev. David Haddon officiating, followed by the interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimers Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB
