Peacefully, at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto ON on January 12, 2011, with her loving family by her side, Miss Cadence Marie Saunders-Gaddas of Pennfield NB. Born at Saint John NB on April 2, 2004, she was the daughter of Troy Saunders and Amy Gaddas of Pennfield. A loving daughter, granddaughter and niece, in addition to her loving parents, she is survived by maternal grandparents; Ron and Joanne Gaddas of Pennfield, paternal grandparents; Ross and Betty Hanley of Back Bay NB, paternal grandfather, James Dow of Saint John NB and several aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
In keeping with the family’s request, there will be no visitation or service. The family would like to send the most heartfelt thank you to all those individuals who have assisted Cadence in the past. Through either fund raising, donations or prayers, your kindness was always felt and will never be forgotten. In Cadence’s memory, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Wesley Victor Leavitt
1919-2011
Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on January 18th, 2011, Mr. Wesley Victor Leavitt, husband of the late Beulah Y. (Mallock) Leavitt of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on May 14, 1919, he was a son of the late Wesley Sr. and Mildred (Bradford) Leavitt. A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, he is survived by five daughters; Janice (Maurice) Boucher of Fredericton NB, Carol (Tito) Aparece of Blacks Harbour NB, Colleen (Stephen) French of St. George NB, Sherri (Gary) Mealey of Pennfield NB and Cathy Scott of Blacks Harbour NB, 8 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three brothers; Vance Leavitt of Pennfield NB, Herbert Leavitt and Keith Leavitt both of St. George NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, Beulah, he was predeceased by one grandson, John Lane, one brother, Frank Leavitt and by three sisters; Norma Brown, Mildred Parks and Joyce Hanson.
Prior to his retirement, Wesley was employed by Connors Bros for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed puzzles, drawing, fishing, hunting or playing a game of crokinole. He also found humor in playing jokes on his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 2 pm from the St. George Baptist Church, St. George NB with Rev. Darren Millett and Rev. Gary Bitely officiating, with the interment at Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wesley’s memory to the Lung Association or to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Dean Alan Dick
1952-2011
Unexpectedly, at St. George NB on January 24, 2011, Mr. Dean Alan Dick, husband of Mrs. Deborah (Norman) Dick of St. George NB. Born at St. Stephen, NB on March 28, 1952, he was a son of Mrs. Marjorie (Stewart) Dick and the late Mr. F. Clayton Dick. Dean was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by his wife Deborah, son Jeffrey Dick of St. George NB, daughter, Amanda Dick and her fiancé Domenico Ranieri of St. Stephen NB, his mother, Marjorie Dick of L’Etete NB, two brothers; Dale (Margaret) Dick of L’Etete NB and Jerry Dick of Mascarene NB, two sisters; Lorna (Clifton) Rogers of Minto NB and Joan (Lorne) Leavitt of L’Etete NB, one aunt, Marion Barry of St. George. His several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law loved Dean and his always-helping ways. Best buddy “Toby” will definitely be lost without Dean and their trips to Tim’s.
Dean was employed by the Town of St. George Public Works as a maintenance worker for the last 10 years and was Union representative for Local NBPEA 001. Prior to working for the Town of St. George, he was employed at Saint John Ship Building and in the interim, for various other employers.
Dean’s greatest pride and joy were watching his kids grow into fine young adults. He was very proud of Jeff’s hockey skills and equally so of Amanda excelling at University and becoming an Occupational Therapist. It was very obvious to all Dean was truly a family man all the way.
Dean spent most of his leisure time hunting, doing puzzles, not to mention washing and waxing his and Jeff’s and Amanda’s vehicles. When work was done, Dean was often seen at Tim’s enjoying a coffee and a chat with his many, many friends.
Resting at the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church, 33 Manor Road, St. George NB from where the service will be held on Friday at 2 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. The interment will be held at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the church will take place on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dean’s memory to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Walter Irvine Munn
1924-2011
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB, on January 28, 2011, Mr. Walter Irvine Munn, husband of Mrs. Seretha E. (Anthony) Munn of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Blissfield Parish NB on March 23, 1924, he was a son of the late John A. and Emily E. (Price) Munn. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Seretha, he is survived by 5 sons; Johnny (Linda) Munn of Blacks Harbour NB, David (Dianne) Munn of Pocologan NB, Tony (Kim) Munn of Pennfield NB, Ronnie (Lori) Munn of Quispamsis NB and Phillip (Shelley) Munn of Fredericton, three daughters; Lillian (Edgar) Guitard of Blacks Harbour NB, Beverley (Claude) Aucoin of Pennfield NB and Janice (Danny) Mullins of Pennfield NB, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two brothers; Aussie (Geraldine) Munn of Calais ME and Cecil (Edna) Munn of Ludlow NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one son, Charles, one daughter, Lorraine Mahar and by one granddaughter, Mellissa Munn.
Prior to his retirement, Walter worked for Connors Bros., Can and Cover Division and Decorator for 40 years. He was an avid reader, especially the Bible and in his later years enjoyed listening to the Gospel on tape. He enjoyed telling stories to his grandchildren and making his family laugh. Walter served in the Canadian Army from 1942 - 1944. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Blacks Harbour NB.
Resting at the United Pentecostal Church, Blacks Harbour NB from where the service will be held on Monday at 2 pm. The interment will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the church on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Walter’s memory, donations to the United Pentecostal Church Blacks Harbour Building Fund, the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Rhonda Susan Spear
1952-2011
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on January 22, 2011, Mrs. Rhonda Susan (Lacarte) Spear, wife of Mr. J. Brian Spear of Utopia NB. Born at New Liskeard ON on July 17, 1952, she was a daughter to Ellen Marie (Poulin) Arseneau of Pennfield NB. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Brian, she is survived by three sons; Corey Spear (Melissa Case) of Pennfield NB, Daniel Spear of Utopia NB and Gregory Spear of Fort St. James BC, seven grandchildren; Ethan, Emma, Hailey, Alex, Kaleb, Michaela and Austin, her mother, Ellen Arseneau, two sisters; Darlene Lacarte (Billy) of Saint John NB and Shelly (Gerald) Theriault of Fredericton NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rhonda worked for many years with Connors Bros. in Blacks Harbour NB, and later assisted Brian with the operation of Spear’s Construction. She was an avid hockey mom and fan who was very devoted to the minor hockey program in Blacks Harbour, where she organized the canteen duties for a number of years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and having her quiet time at her trailer at the pond.
A memorial service will be held at the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB on Tuesday at 2 pm with Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held at the family residence at 410 Route 785, Utopia NB, all are welcomed to attend. In Rhonda’s memory donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, the NB Lung Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Gordon LeRoy Sellars
1920-2011
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on February 9, 2011, Mr. Gordon LeRoy Sellars, husband of Mrs. Marion Elizabeth (Ingersoll) Sellars of Pennfield NB. Born at Pennfield NB on July 25, 1920, he was a son of the late Harold and Jane (Hunter) Sellars. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to is wife Marion, he is survived by two sons; John (Linda) Sellars and Donald (Colleen) Sellars both of Pennfield NB, one daughter, Susan Sellars (Barry Daley) of Blacks Harbour NB, six grandchildren; Jodi (John) Woodside of St. Stephen NB, Shawn (Sally) Sellars of Weymouth NS, Nicole Sellars (Donald Blanchard) of Pennfield NB, Dianne (Joey) Craswell of L’Etang NB, Kevin Sellars of Pennfield NB and Laura Sellars (Todd) of Pennfield NB, seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins including special niece, Aldora Sellars of Pennfield NB. He was predeceased by one daughter in law, Susan (Walsh) Sellars, four brothers; Frank, Horace, Raymond and Harold and by four sisters; Margaret, Helen, Vera and Marion.
Prior to his retirement, Gordon worked for many years for Connors Bros in Blacks Harbour NB. He later joined the Labourers Union and worked during the construction of Point Lepreau. He was a veteran having served overseas in England during World War II with the Royal Canadian Artillery. Gordon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting and he could often be found helping people.
Resting at the Pennfield Baptist Church, Pennfield NB from where the service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. The interment will take place at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the church will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Gordon’s memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetes. Association or to the Charlotte County Cancer society would be appreciated by the family. F. Eva McVicar
1926-2011
Unexpectedly, at her residence at St. George NB on February 16, 2011, Mrs. F. Eva (Kinney) McVicar, wife of the late Harold John McVicar, formerly of L’Etang NB. Born at Eastport ME on June 15, 1926, she was a daughter to the late Oscar and Eva (Bright) Kinney and raised by the late John and Edith Bright. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, she is survived by three sons; Billy (Betty) McVicar of Calais ME, John (Eleanor) McVicar of Markham ON and Anthony (Karen) McVicar of St. George NB, two daughters; Diane (Bill) Bowman of Digdeguash NB and Linda (Luke) Babineau of Seeleys Cove NB, 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one brother, James Kinney of Campobello NB, three sisters; Marion Henderson and Helen (Harold) Crawford both of Saint John NB and Betty (Theodore) Foote of Grand Manan NB, special friend, Harry Bennett and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Harold, she was predeceased by two sons; Roger and Wayne and by one brother, Preston Kinney.
Prior to her retirement, Eva worked for Connors Bros in Blacks Harbour as a packer. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, gardening and having friends and family over to visit. She was an avid Bingo player who enjoyed listening to Bluegrass Music. Eva was a member of St. George’s Roman Catholic Church and a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 40, St. George NB
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 am with Father Rolando Suplido officiating. The interment will take place at the St. George Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Eva’s memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
