Arnold Wesley Tucker
1930-2011
Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on April 2, 2011, Mr. Arnold Wesley Tucker, husband of Mrs. Marion V. (Cameron) Tucker of St. George NB. Born at L’Etete NB on July 6, 1930, he was a son of the late Wesley A. and Myrtle M. (McMahon) Tucker. A loving husband, father and brother, in addition to his wife, Marion, he is survived by one daughter, Sharon Tucker of St. George NB, one son, Scott Tucker of Maces Bay NB, one brother, Malcolm (Brenda) Tucker of Pennfield NB, one sister, Betty Dougherty of St. George NB, three sisters in law; Linda Gould of St. George NB, Pauline Tucker and Marguerite Arbeau both of Saint John NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Bernard Tucker.
Prior to his retirement, Arnold worked as an auto mechanic by trade having owned his own business and retiring as a foreman from the D.O.T. Garage at St. George NB. He was a 50 year member of the Orange Lodge and a member of the NB PC Organization. For many years he was an active member of the Eastern Charlotte ATV Club who enjoyed four wheeling, small engine repair and spending his free time at his cottage at McDougall Lake. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Resting at St. Marks Anglican Church, St. George NB, from where the service will be held on Tuesday at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Keith Osborne and Rev. Mary Ann Langmaid officiating. Visiting at the church will take place on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Arnold’s memory, donations to the St. Marks Anglican Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Benson Frederick Travis Sr.
1933-2012
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on March 28, 2012, Mr. Benson Frederick Travis Sr., husband of Mrs. Carol Travis of Canal NB. Born at Sillikers NB on March 20, 1933, he was a son of the late Alvin and Effie (Tozer) Travis. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his children; Brenda Martin of St. George NB, Benson “Benny” Travis Jr. (Carol Voutt) of Blacks Harbour NB, Lloyd Travis of Canal NB, Rosalie (Burton) Borthwick of Canal NB, Gladys Holt (Tom Wilkins) of St. George NB, Vincent Travis (Isabelle Dion) of Bonny River NB, Dennis Travis of St. George NB, Barbara Travis of St. George NB, Murray (Robyn) Dyer of Mascarene NB and Springe Travis (Doug Van Tassel) of Blacks Harbour NB, one step son, Chris Lord (Vicki James) of Rollingdam NB, grandchildren; Jennifer, Scott, Morgan, Davis, Jordan, Spencer, Jonah, Taylor, Tyler, Jessica, Nathan, Mallory, Bridgette, Gabrielle, Mandy, Jerimiah, Simone, Rebecca, Rachael, Reese, Patrick, Zachery, Nikki and Erik, two great grandchildren; Karly and Carter, one brother, Edgeley (Judy) Travis of Renous NB, two sisters; Beatrice (Fred) Nowlan and Josephine (Lloyd) MacAllister both of Warwick Settlement NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Benson was predeceased by one son in infancy, Perry, and by brothers, Leslie, Ernie and Eddie.
Prior to his retirement Benson was a mechanic, having been employed by Fundy Construction for many years. He had a passion for working in his garden and loved antique cars. Benson once served as a Volunteer Firefighter for St. George and surrounding areas. He was a member of the NBAAC, Passamaquoddy Region, the Granite Gardeners Club, the Granite Town Seniors and was a long time member and Elder of the Presbyterian Kirk in St. George. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Resting at the Presbyterian Kirk, St. George NB from where the service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm with Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating. Visiting at the church will take place on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Benson’s memory, donations to the Presbyterian Kirk, St. George, the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Lewis Allen Hall
1957-2012
Peacefully at his residence on April 5, 2012 Mr. Lewis Allen Hall, husband of Mrs. Jeannine (Bastarache) Hall of Bonny River NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on May 30, 1957, he was a son of the late Roy James Hall Sr. and Hester Marion (Craig) Hall. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his loving wife Jeannine, he is survived by one son, Matthew Hall (Kayla Lord) of Bonny River NB, one daughter, Nicole and Jaret Hooper of Rothesay NB, four grandsons; Craig, Jonah, Liam and Bryson, one brother, Roy Hall Jr. of Bonny River NB, four sisters; Edith (Jerry) Thompson of St. George NB, Karen (Ian) Webb of Burlington ON, Anne (Claude) Laberge of Miramichi NB and Berla (Kevin) Richardson of Sussex NB and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws. Lewis was predeceased by one brother, Keith Hall and by one sister in law, Christine Hall
Lewis worked for several years with the NB Department of Transportation doing highway maintenance. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and being at his camp. He enjoyed spending precious time with his family, especially his grandchildren and mingling with people and making people laugh. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
By request there will be no visitation. A celebration of Lewis’ life will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. In Lewis’ memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Granville Willis Moran
1929-2012
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on April 6, 2012, Mr. Granville Willis Moran of Utopia NB. Born at Halifax NS on January 19, 1929, he was a son of the late Guy and Melda Moran. A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, he is survived by two daughters; Susan (nee Moran) Guthrie of St. George NB and Heather Moran of Nova Scotia, one son, Stephen Moran (Juanita Greenlaw) of Beaver Harbour NB, three grandchildren; Ashley (Holly) Guthrie of Seeley’s Cove NB, Jennifer (Paul) Smith of L’Etang NB and Steven Moran (Tiffany Little) of Beaver Harbour NB, seven great-grandchildren; Jordan, Brendan, Chase, Alexander, Jude, Layla and Troy and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Betty and Dorothy.
Prior to his retirement, Granville worked as a Plumber/Pipefitter for many years and later was employed on the local Salmon Cages which he enjoyed. He will always be fondly remembered for his love of music and for always having a guitar in his hand.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Monday from 7-9pm and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The service will be held from the Christ Church (Anglican), Pennfield NB on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Canon Keith Osborne officiating. In Granville’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Ashton Mackenzie Chase
1998-2011
Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on October 31, 2011, Miss Ashton Mackenzie Chase. Born at Saint John NB on September 9, 1998, she was the beloved daughter of Eugene and Kelly (Justason) Chase. A loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, in addition to her loving parents, Gene and Kelly of St. George NB, she is survived by one sister, Jazmin Chase of Moncton NB, paternal grandparents, Gerald “Bumpy” and Nancy “Mamy” Chase of Saint John NB, maternal grandparents, Sheldon “Pup” and Joan “Nan” Justason of Pennfield NB, one aunt, Judy “JuJu” (Doug “Dug Dug”) Gaudett of St. George NB, one uncle, Greg “Greggie” (Kathy) Chase of Saint John NB and their companion, Molly, cousins; Kate (Jay) McGratten of St. George NB and their children, Frankie and Arianna, Kelsey Gaudett (Murray Tucker) of Pennfield NB, one great great aunt, Murial Bennet of Blacks Harbour NB and numerous friends and teachers.
Ashton was currently enrolled as a student at Fundy High School, St. George NB. She was well known in the school and enjoyed keeping busy with the Mariners in Motion team, working to fight bullying. She had a passion for sports, especially Volleyball and enjoyed cheering on her favourite football team, the Patriots. Ashton’s first love was spending time with her mom, and her second love dancing. She enjoyed all forms of dance including Tap, Lyrical and Hip Hop and was a member of Danceability of Saint John. She had a great sense of humor and had the ability to bring light to anyone’s day. Ashton was a member of the Christ Church (Anglican) in Pennfield NB, where she attended services will her loving family.
Resting at Christ Church (Anglican), Pennfield NB, from where the service will be held on Thursday at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Keith Osborne officiating followed by the interment at the parish cemetery. Visiting at the church will take place on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Ashton’s memory, donations to Learning Disabilities of NB as well as the Fundy High School Breakfast Program would be appreciated by the family. Due to severe allergies in the family only artificial floral arrangements please. Also, please refrain from wearing scented products to both the visitation and funeral service. Goldwin "Goldie" Henry Smith
1928-2012
Goldwin “Goldie” Henry Smith died peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 10, 2012 at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB. Born on February 5, 1928, at Lords Cove, Deer Island NB, he was a son of the late Charles and Thelma (Fountain) Smith. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia (Richardson) Smith. Goldie leaves behind four daughters; Corinne (Daryl) Conley, LuAnn (Jody) Cline and Sandra (Larry) Bradford all of Deer Island NB and Karen Young (Andy Thompson) of Beaver Harbour NB, seven grandchildren; Todd (Nancy) and Trisha Conley, Tera and Darren Bradford, Tabatha (Chris Rubin) and Sheena Young and Emily Cline, five great-grandchildren; Chris Hawkins, Julia, Erin and Kendra Carpenter and Kylee Bayers. He is also survived by son in law, Brian Young, one sister, Rheta Hayman of London ON, one brother, Donald (Gen) Smith of Florida and several nieces, nephews and many members of his wife’s family. He was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife Patsy and one sister, Charlotte Hurley.
Goldie spent his life fishing and enjoyed the challenge of lining up a load of herring. He enjoyed listening to old country music, a good game of cribbage and having a fish yarn with anyone who dropped in.
Resting at the Lords Cove Church of Christ, Lords Cove NB from where the service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Conrad Cline officiating, followed by the interment at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery. Visiting at the church will take place on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fundy Nursing Home, The IWK Children’s Hospital or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB
