Edwina Isabell Sheppard, 70, 0f Marx Farm Road, Salisbury West passed away Monday June 3, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Saint John she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Mary (Rogers) Worden. A homemaker she was also a former employee of the T.Eaton Co. , attended St. John’s Anglican Church, Salisbury and was a member of the I.O.D.E..
Survived by her husband of fifty one years Edward, daughters Florence Goddard (Sterling), Jane Duncan (Dwight) of Killams Mills, Norma Jean Demont (Dana) of Harewood, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sisters Helen Garnett of Me, Kathleen Cady of Mass., brother Ronald Worden of Me., several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Ruthie Stone.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Tuesday June 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from St. John’s Anglican Church , Salisbury with Rev. Ellis Jagoe officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury.
If so desired memorials to the Cancer Society or the Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

L. Gwendolyn O. Gray
Lillian Gwendolyn Olga Gray, 90, of Douglas Ave. Salisbury passed away Tuesday December 4, 2001 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born at Annapolis Royal, N.S. she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Maude Hatfield. A homemaker Gwendolyn was Methodist by faith and attend the Salisbury United Baptist Church.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Lillian Crawford of Sussex, her son Donald (Erma) of Salisbury, grandchildren Judy (Milton) Friars, Edwin (Christine) Crawford,Michael (Wanda) Crawford, Douglas Gray, Norman (Sandra) Gray, Cathy (Web) Merrithew, Marlene (Brian) Johnstone. Survived also by fifteen great grandchildren and a niece. Predeceased by her husband Hanford (1958), brothers Jack, Donald , Lewis and Rupert Hatfield.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. and from where the service will be held Friday Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Interment at the Goshen Cemetery.
If so desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Daniel A. Longaphie B.Ed., M.Ed.
Daniel Allen Longaphie, 57, of Buckingham Avenue, Riverview passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday February 21, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in New Zealand , P.E.I. he was a son of Loretta (Gregory) Longaphie and the late Joseph Longaphie. Dan was a graduate of Moncton High School, The New Brunswick Teachers' College and the Université de Moncton and was a respected educator in the Moncton area for over 30 years. He began his career as Vice Principal of Bessborough School and then served as Principal of Frank L. Bowser School for ten years. In 1984 he was seconded to serve as principal of the former Lion Don Steeves School where he began a lifelong passion of promoting the integration of special needs students into the public school system. In the mid-eighties he joined the School District Office as a supervisor and later retired as an assistant superintendent in 1996. In retirement he enjoyed numerous home improvement projects as well as his gardens, but his greatest pleasure was the time spent with his beloved granddaughter Kennedy Grace.
Daniel is survived by his mother Loretta of Moncton, his best friend and wife of more than 35 years Janet (Crawford), his children Gregory and his wife Carolyn of Riverview, Barbara of Toronto, James of Riverview, granddaughter Kennedy, his brothers David of Riverview and Ken of Ontario, his sisters Elizabeth and Mary of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph and his sister Margaret.
A memorial service to celebrate Dan's life will be held Saturday, February 23 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church, 404 Cleveland Avenue in Riverview, with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. Interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Greater Moncton Association for Community Living or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family and may be placed through the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800) who are in care of the arrangements.

Douglas E. Chapman
Douglas Earl Chapman, 49, of Rusagonis and formerly of Salisbury passed away Friday September 27, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital from injuries sustained in a tractor trailer accident September 13 near Moncton..
Born at Middlesex he was a son of Earl and Jean (McCormick) Chapman. He was employed with Atlantic-Pacific Transport and in his leisure time enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church in Moncton.
Survived by his parents of Salisbury, his daughters Katrina Chapman of Salisbury, Tiffany Chapman of Salisbury West, his companion Jackie Hiscock, step-children Cindy Willis (Bruce) of Fredericton, Curtis Hiscock (Laura) of St. Stephen and their children Ryan Willis and Gavin Hiscock. Surviving also are sisters Phyllis Lewis (Philip) of Monteagle, Florence Allen (Andrew) of Antigonish N.S., Ruth Smith (Rick) Salisbury, Judy Smith (Norman) Riverview, Joanne Simpell (Eugene) Lakeside, Sharon Doucette (Jim) North Bay Ont., brothers Danny (Betty) of Salisbury, Steven (Elaine) Moncton, aunts, uncles, cousins , nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Sunday Sept 29 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sterling Penny officiating. Interment at the Middlesex Cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Brenda Ann Riley
Brenda Ann Riley, 49, of Salisbury West passed away Thursday October 10, 2002 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness .
Born at Moncton she was a daughter of the late Douglas D. and Vera Belle (Steeves) Riley. Brenda was a former clerk at Zellers and Sobeys. She enjoyed seeing all her friends at the weekly bingo , spending time with her beloved dogs and was an active member of the Moncton Kennel Club.
Survived by her partner and best friend Ronald Copp, step-daughters Marianne Copp of Salisbury, Janet Copp of River Glade, grandchildren Brandon and Jessie, a brother John and sisters Noreen Lewis and Charlotte Riley.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 33590 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with no visiting by request. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Saturday October 12 at 11 a.m.If so desired memorials to The Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Esther L. Kierstead
Esther Louise Kierstead, 72, of 960 St. George Blvd. Moncton and formerly of Havelock , a good and faithful servant went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday January 24 , 2003 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Born at Cumberland Me. she was a daughter of the late Budd and Mabel (Saunders) Price. A homemaker Esther taught at various schools in Kings and Westmorland Counties in her early working years and in later years was a caregiver to seniors. She was a member of the Moncton Wesleyan Church and the Golden Years fellowship group of the church , was a former member of the Havelock Wesleyan Church and belonged to the T.O.P.S, group at People’s Park Tower.
Survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Harold L. , her children Cheryl Kierstead of Havelock, Randall (Lorraine) of Ottawa, Darien of Wetaskiwin A.B., Rodney of Moncton and Kirk (Greta) of Fredericton. Surviving also are grandchildren Jamie, Sean, Shannon, Kandal, Kristin , Lee, Robyn and Clark and great grandchildren Evan, Brenna and Justin, sisters Ruth Alward, Thelma Brewer, Marjorie McFarlane a brother Paul Price and nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held Tuesday Jan. 28 at 1 :30 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Laurel Buckingham officiating assisted by Rev. Douglas Tatton. Interment at Fair Haven Cemetery, Moncton.
If so desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke or Canadian Cancer Societies would be appreciated by the family.

Eugene Leroi Kierstead
Eugene Leroi Kierstead, 57, of Salisbury went to be with his Lord February 6, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital after a valiant struggle with cancer.
Born in Havelock January 25, 1946 the son of Irene (Rumble) Kierstead and the late Warren Kierstead. He was a retired Anesthetic Orderly at the Moncton Hospital and was an active member of Salisbury Baptist Church having served on the Trustee Board and other capacities. He was an avid golfer , loved camping and together with his wife were members of the Seven C’s and Sussex Kings trailer clubs.
He was a friend to all who met him and he will be sadly missed by his Mother Irene of Salisbury, his wife Carolyn (MacTavish), children Tod (Tracey Smith) of Fredericton, Tracy Bowser (John) of Yellowknife , Tari Coates (Philip) of Colpitts Settlement, five grandchildren whom he cherished and adored Pasha, Jessie , Cole Bowser , Brady and Falyn Coates. Surviving also are brothers Richard (Margaret) of Moncton, Carl (Barbara) of Harewood, Carman (Kathy) of The Glades , a sister Calleen Harper of Moncton and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Warren and his first wife Carol (Reeder).
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held Sunday February 9 at the Salisbury Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating assisted by Rev. David Gray. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery , Havelock at a later date. If so desired memorials to the Salisbury Baptist Church Building Fund, Child Evangelism Fellowship or The Arrowhead Native Center Camp would be appreciated by the family.
