Bernard L. Crosse
Bernard (Bernie) Lloyd Crosse, 60, of Boyd Street Salisbury passed away Wednesday June 11, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born at St. Andrew's he was a son of the late Herman and Fern (MacCullough) Crosse. Bernie graduated from U.N.B. Business and served twenty years with the Canadian Air Force retiring as a Master Corporal, he then worked as a development officer for Credit Union Central of New Brunswick , following this he was an Insurance broker and was presently employed with the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires at Nav. Can., Riverview.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of thirty nine years Kathleen (Killam), daughters Tanya Crosse (James Young) , Knoxville T.N. U.S.A., Trena Brown (Scott) of Moncton, cherished grandchildren Emma and Grayson Brown, a sister Audrey Langerfield (Ralph) of Oshawa On., a brother Michael (Judy) of Nelson Miramichi, mother in law Florence Killam of Salisbury, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Robert.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Friday 7-9 p.m.. The Memorial Service will be held from The Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday June 14 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood Officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrews.
If so desired memorials to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

S. Harriet N. Hansen
Sigrid Harriet Nesby Hansen of Salisbury, N.B. passed away quietly on July 12, 2003 at the Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton after a short but heroic struggle against cancer.
Born at Nordrup, Denmark on 13 May 1917, the fifth of nine children of Poul and Johanne (Jensen) Nesby Pedersen. The family emigrated to Canada in 1928 and eventually settled in New Denmark. In 1938 , she married Ejner Hansen in northern Ontario and they moved to Saint John the following year, remaining there until relocating to Fredericton in 1956. Harriet was employed as a ward clerk at the Victoria Public and Dr. Everett Chalmers hospitals until her retirement in 1983. Since 1985, she had lived with her son in Salisbury, where she had continued her passion for growing beautiful flowers.
She is survived by two sons: Paul Monty of Salisbury, Kurt Ejner & Linda (Squiers) of Quispamsis; a daughter-in-law Elizabeth Ann (Hall) of Riverview; two grandsons ; Niels Robert of Riverview, David Alan & Lin (Campbell) of Orleans, On; one granddaughter Carolyn Elizabeth & Michael Wright of Anagance; three great-grandchildren; Kristen Elizabeth Hansen and Karl Daniel Hansen Wright & Faith Johanne Wright; an elder brother Ove Robert Nesby Pedersen of Tripp Settlement; a younger sister, Katie McNally of Aroostook; and numerous nieces and nephews. Harriet was predeceased by her husband Ejner (1968); two sons Monty (1948)& Niels Ove (1994); and by her siblings Eva Bode, Jens Erik, Mary Paula, Poul Henry, Johannes Erling & Ina Agnethe.
The Funeral will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in New Denmark on Wednesday July 16 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kimberlynn McNabb officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
If so desired memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800).

Harriett Alberta Jones
Harriett Alberta Jones, 98, of Royal Court Riverview and formerly Petitcodiac , past away peacefully at her home on Saturday July 19, 2003.
Born at Passekeag, Kings Co. she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Susan (Upham) Titus. Harriett was a graduate of the Nursing Program at the Chipman Memorial Hospital, St. Stephen and was a member of the Petitcodiac United Baptist Church . For many years she enjoyed gardening and was an avid bridge player.
She will be sadly missed by her sons Peter S. (Dorothy) of Woodstock, Rev. Robert A. (Johanne) of Oromocto, David (Susanne) of Amherst, grandchildren Scott Jones (Sylvia), Leanne Hughes (David), Scott Schonewille, Jodi Brander (Stephen), Monica Schonewille-Jones, Susan Sears (Ralph), Elizabeth Jones, Ian Jones, Terry Jones (Nora Lynn), Kelli Lundbohm (Gerald). Surviving also are 12 great grandchildren, a sister Lettie Cosman (Colburn) of Saint John, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Arthur A. (1978), sisters Mable Shepard, Dorothy Dibblee, Martha Bowes, Lena Harmer, brothers Harold, Aubrey and Gilbert Titus.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Tuesday July 22 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Interment will be at the Petitcodiac Baptist Cemetery.
If so desired memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Gerald Langelaan
Gerald Langelaan of Salisbury, N.B. passed away peacefully on July 19, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital after a courageous struggle with cancer.
Born at Pijnacker, Netherlands on 20 June 1928, he was the youngest of fifteen children of Gerrit and Magdalena Langelaan. He and Leny, were married and came to Canada in 1954 where they bought a farm on the old Fredericton Road near Salisbury. They developed it into a very successful dairy farm, which continues as Langelaans Holsteins Ltd. During his career as a farmer, Gerald was elected to the N.B. Milk Marketing Board where he served as director for 5 years. He was also involved in a number of other farm organizations. Gerald was also active in St Jude’s Parish where he lent his harmony to the choir and served on the altar. Gerald enjoyed ballroom dancing, listening to music, playing his harmonica for his grandchildren, traveling, and telling stories.
Gerald and Leny retired in 1991 to the village of Salisbury, where Gerald spent time on his gardens and greenhouse, woodworking, playing cards and games with good friends and family. He especially enjoyed being the only man in the Salisbury Geri-fitness Classes for quite a few years.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years Leny (van Heyningen), two daughters: Marlene Strang (Fred) of Fredericton, Margaret Leger (Joel) of Dartmouth, four sons: Robert (Denise) of Vancouver, John of Lower Coverdale, Paul (Rhonda) of Salisbury, Fred (Linda) of Salisbury, seven grandchildren, two brothers (Netherlands and B.C.) and five sisters (Netherlands) and numerous nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by six brothers (Netherlands), and one sister (Netherlands).
The family will receive relatives, friends and neighbours at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road on Monday, July 21, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Prayers & Memories Celebration will also be held at the funeral home on Monday July 21 at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral will take place at St. Jude’s Church in Salisbury on Tuesday July 22 at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
The family would appreciate memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are in the care of the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800).

Vivian M. Henry
Vivian Marie Henry, 96, of Homestead Road, Steeves Mountain passed away at home , Sunday October 19, 2003. Born at Salisbury she was a daughter of the late Corey and Carey (Eagles) Lewis. Vivian was a retired school teacher and was a active member for over eighty years of the Second North River Baptist Church and was also a member of the Second North River Women’s Institute and had attended the Salisbury Monday Morning Merry Makers. Vivian took great pride in her family and was especially interested in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survived by her sons William (Elizabeth) of Steeves Mountain, Allison (Katherine) of Salisbury, Mark (Beverley) of Second North River, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren , a sister Dorothy Mitton of Harrisville, a brother Victor Lewis of Riverview and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Harold (2001) a great grandson Derek Crandall, sister Winona Cochrane, brothers Trueman, Raymond, Paul, Corey and Vernon Lewis.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Tuesday 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held Wednesday October 22 at 2 p.m. from the Second North River Baptist Church with Rev. David Evans officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
Memorials to the Second North River Baptist Church Building Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Dr. Robert C. Randall, D.C.
Elgin : Dr. Robert Coleman Randall, 71, of Elgin passed away Thursday August 7, 2003 at home following a lengthy illness.
Born in Moncton he was a son of the late Lester and Marion (Coleman) Randall. After graduating from Moncton High school, he attended Mount Allison University and graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. In 1957, he began his practice on Steadman Street in the family home from where he retired in November 2001 due to poor health. Throughout the many years of practice he enjoyed his many colleagues, patients and friends and was especially proud when his daughter Kate was able to assume the practice. Over the years he served on the Board of Directors , Canadian Chiropractic Association; Past President, New Brunswick N.B.C.A.; Moncton Rotary Club; Kinsmen Club; Founding Board of Directors, Moncton Museum ; Board of Directors, Canada Memorial Chiropractic College and the East End Boys and Girls Club and the former School District 16. He enjoyed spending time on the family farm in Elgin and boating on the St. John River.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Joan (Combley), children Sharon Anderson (Dan), Madoc On.; Dr. Chris Randall , Perth Australia; Dr. Kate Randall (Dr. Tim Wallace) ,Moncton; Ian Randall (Krista), Halifax; Nancy Randall (Eddie Garland), Moncton; grandchildren Derek, Stephanie and Sarah Anderson. Survived also by sisters Ruth Magee (George) Ottawa On. and Joan Dempsey (Ronald) Chester N.S. as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Dr. Arthur Randall.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday August 11 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Albert Snelgrove officiating. Interment will be at all Saint’s Cemetery, Church’s Corner.
If so desired, memorials to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the I.W.K. Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Shirley June Robinson Hopper
Shirley June Robinson Hopper, 80, of Main Street Salisbury passed away Monday December 22, 2003 at home.
Born in Moncton she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Audrey (Peck) Steeves.
She was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church, a past Matron of the O.E.S., and was the proprietor of Village East Mobile and Mini Home Subdivision in Salisbury. Shirley enjoyed reading, knitting and watching old movies. Shopping, eating out and spending time at the cottage were favored pastimes. She took great pride in her grandchildren and loved to spend time with family and friends.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her children David Robinson (Shirley) of Erin On., Debra Hopper (Paul Melanson) of Rexton, Russell C. (Rusty) (Donna) of Salisbury, Deanne Perry (Dwight) of Upper Coverdale, grandchildren Stephen, Kenneth and Brian Robinson, Jenny, Justin and Katie Melanson, Alex and Jill Hopper , Jared and Hilary Shirley Perry, two great grandchildren Brandie and Colton Robinson and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Russell M. Hopper a brother Clyde Steeves.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Friday 6-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday December 27 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. David Morehouse officiating. Interment at Fair Haven Cemetery, Moncton.
If so desired memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the I.W.K. Children's Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
