Christopher Irving Brewer

1958 - 2003

Christopher I. Brewer of Greenhill Lake passed away December 3, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Zealand on December 5, 1958, he was a son of Rhea (Brewer) Brewer and the late Ewart Brewer. Chris was a truck driver and was employed with LaFarge Canada for several years. He enjoyed the outdoors and trips through the woods with his all terrain vehicle.

He is survived by his mother, Rhea Brewer of Zealand; a son, Christopher of Fredericton; a daughter, Lindsay of Scotch Lake; a sister, Esther Brewer (Dale), Zealand; four brothers, Joseph (Mary Lou), Millville, Terry (Maxine), Zealand, Maurice (Lorraine), Burtts Corner and Stacey (Katherine), Zealand; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Chris was predeceased by his father on May 13, 1998.

Resting at the home of his brother, Maurice Brewer, 97 Route 617, Burtts Corner with visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Zealand United Pentecostal Church, 2016 Route 104 on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Donald McCarty officiating. Interment will take place in the Stone Ridge Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brent Smith, Eric Moss, Kevin Harris, Dale Burtt, Bruce Estey and Tracey Brewer.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Chris, the family has suggested a charity of the donor's choice.

Lester Robert Godsoe

1916 - 2003

Lester R. Godsoe of Brewers Mills passed away November 14, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born at Benton Ridge, Carleton County on April 30, 1916, a son of the late Goodrich and Edith (Gilbert) Godsoe.

Lester was a retired woodsworker and carpenter. He was a member of the Zealand United Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lois B. (Wilson-Brewer) Godsoe; two sons, Ronald Godsoe (Ethel), Scotch Lake and Rev. Arnold Godsoe (Margaret), Quebec; two daughters, Marie Burtt, Lr. Queensbury and Paulette Fox, Lower Hainesville; grandchildren, Joanne, Matthew, Peter and Paul Burtt, Theresa Grant, Stephen Fox and Julie Harnett, Samantha Morehouse, Shyanne Godsoe and Wendy Morehouse; fourteen great grandchildren; three step-daughters, Hope Brewer (Darrell Bruce), Fredericton, Sheila Wade (Stephen), Brewers Mills and Rosanne Poitras (Rev. Henry), Bathurst; a step-son, Rev. Terry Brewer (Beth), Nackawic; eleven step-grandchildren, Nicole and Matthew Wade, Natalie, Nathaniel and Katie Brewer, Anson, Braden, Adena and Brienna Brewer, Trevin and Joleen Poitras; several nieces and nephews.

Lester was predeceased by his first wife, Pauline (Hanson) Godsoe, four sisters, Helen, June, Mary and Lena and two brothers, Al and Ted.

Resting at the Zealand United Pentecostal Church, 2016 Route 104 with visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the church on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Donald McCarty officiating assited by Rev. Russell Morehouse, Rev. Terry Brewer and Rev. Arnold Godsoe. Interment will be in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matthew Burtt, Peter Burtt, Paul Burtt, Stephen Fox and nephews Larry Waugh and David Waugh.

Laura Matilda Burtt

1922 - 2003

Laura M. Burtt, formerly of Upper Hainesville passed away November 15, 2003 at Carleton Memorial Hospital. Born at Staples Settlement on June 5, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie (Nason) Brawn. Laura was a member of the Upper Hainesville Baptist Church and a former active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Millville Branch 59.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Burtt (Carolyn), Woodstock; four daughters, Carol Elliott (Dennis), Atikokan, Ontario, Patsy Myshrall (Rev. Allan), Pokiok, Bonnie DesRoches (Gene), Newmarket and Debbie Hill (Bev), Millville; two sisters, Betty Corey (Eugene), Bear Island and Florence Billings, Fredericton; one brother, Donald Brawn (Margaret), Staples Settlement; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Laura was predeceased by her husband, Edwin C. Burtt in 1997, four sisters, Phoebe Jones, Isobel Jones, Pauline Stickles and Mary Brawn and five brothers, Weldon, Ellis, George, Charlie and infant Garnet Brawn.

Resting at Millville Baptist Church, 1469 Route 605 with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the church on Monday, November 17, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Donald MacDougall officiating, assisted by Pastor Peter Smith. Pianist will be granddaughter, Natasha Cronkhite. Interment will be in the Ridgeview Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Mary Beth Schroeder, Misty MacLellan, Laurie Elliott, Rhonda Underhill, Karen Elliott, Pam Goodine, Sherry Elliott and Andrea Cronkhite. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Brent Myshrall, Donnie Cronkhite, Andy Cronkhite, Jonathan DesRoches, Trevor MacFarlane and Kenneth MacLellan.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Laura, the family has suggested the Ridgeview Cemetery or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Ervin Beverley (Bev) Caverhill

1942 - 2003

E. Beverley (Bev) Caverhill of Rossville passed away November 20, 2003 at his home. Born at Southampton on October 25, 1942, he was a son of the late Ervin and Alice (Sinnott) Caverhill. Bev was a trucker and a woods contractor. He was a member of the Nackawic Sno-Drifters Snowmobile Club.

He is survived by his wife, Donna C. Caverhill; a daughter, Tammy Freeman (Anthony), Rossville; three step-sons; six grandchildren, Evan and Karli Freeman, Alex, Jeremy, John and Rachel Davidson; his step-mother, Mary Caverhill, St. Catherines, Ontario; four sisters, Eunice Dineen (Dayton), Calais, Maine, Sandra Petrozza (Luigi), Orangeville, Ontario, Dorothy Rohovich (Norman), Campbell Settlement and Shirley Reeds (Richard), Ontario; seven brothers, Harry (Edna), Hartfield, Dale, Michael (Linda), both of Campbell Settlement, David (Barb), Peace River, AB, Reginald (Mary), Rusagonis, Darren (Darlene) and Nelson, both of Ontario; a special aunt, Shirley Monteith, Southampton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bev was predeceased by a brother Weldon and a grandson Justin Davidson.

Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Wayne Schriver officiating. Interment will be in Otis Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Cronkhite, Donnie Carr, Donald Corey, Paul Myles, Darren Wilson and Duane MacDonald.

Matthew Jarvis Parish

Matthew J. Parish of Temperance Vale passed away November 27, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Plaster Rock on April 22, 1954, he was a son of Nellie B. (Moore) Parish and the late Reginald J. Parish. Matthew was employed for more than thirty years with Orchard Shade Farms in Northampton.

He is survived by his fiancé, Donna Ingraham; his mother of Nictau; a son, Jason Parish, Beaverbank, NS; a step-daughter, Jessica, Temperance Vale; two sisters, Susan Stevenson (James), Riley Brook and Marion Fleming (Moses), Keswick Ridge; a brother, Fred Parish (Andrea), Grafton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, Matthew was predeceased by a brother, Floyd Alexander Parish.

Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday, November 30, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Carl Brewer officiating. Interment will be in the Temperance Vale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Edgar Pike, George Dukeshire, Jim Smart, Tommy Everett, Gary Taylor and Travis Sowers.

Warren Walton Ingalls

Warren W. Ingalls of Harvey Station and formerly of Fredericton and Grand Manan passed away November 28, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Ingalls Head, Grand Manan on August 13, 1916, he was a son of the late Milledge and Viola (Green) Ingalls. Warren was a veteran of the Second World War and landed at Juno Beach in France and then on to northern Germany. Following the war, he returned to Grand Manan to operate his own fishing boat. In 1968 he began working for the civil service, continuing until his retirement in 1981. In his retirement years he enjoyed bowling, oil painting and reading.

Warren is survived by his wife of 54 years, Annie C. (Carr) Ingalls; two daughters, Susan Williams (Gary) and Jennifer Underhill (Tom), both of Harvey Station; two granddaughters, Lesley Bennett (Francis) and Katherine Underhill, both of Harvey Station; a grandson, Jared Williams (Erika), McAdam; two great grandchildren, Alexander and Taylor Bennett; a sister, Marjorie Graham, Grand Manan; a sister-in-law, Audrey Ingalls, Grand Manan; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Cecelia Ingalls, a brother Robert Ingalls and a brother-in-law, Lyle Graham.

Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. George Clark officiating. Interment will be later at Acton Cemetery.

Sidney Smith Godkin

1924 - 2003

Sidney S. Godkin of Thomaston Corner passed away December 1, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Harvey on February 24, 1924, he was a son of the late Roy and Mabel (Smith) Godkin. Sidney began work as a brakeman with CP Rail in McAdam and then in 1950 transferred to Ontario. Following his retirement in 1983, he returned to live at Thomaston Corner.

He is survived by a son, William Godkin, Thomaston Corner; a granddaughter, Melissa Godkin, Richmond Hill, Ontario; a nephew Ian Godkin, Sudbury, Ontario and several other nieces and nephews.

Sidney was predeceased by his wife, Ola (Lindsay) Godkin on January 30, 1997, a brother, Eugene Godkin and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Godkin.

Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 5, 2003 at 2 p.m. Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating. Interment will be in Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Gillespie, Nicholas Gillespie, Eric Christie, Stanley Christie, Donnie Smith and Ronnie Saunders.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Sidney, the family has suggested the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
