Harry Arnold Drost

1921 - 2004

Harry A. Drost of Southampton passed away February 24, 2004 at his home. Born in Fredericton on September 18, 1921, he was a son of the late Arnold and Gladys (Knox) Drost. Harry began work by trucking pulp and then was employed as a welder with Diamond Construction for thirty one years. He was also a hobby farmer and a supporter of the community hall in Southampton.

He is survived by his wife, Miriam J. (Cronkhite) Drost; three daughters, Crystal Dore (Sherwin), Southampton, Janice Drost (Trent Graham), Hartfield and Charlene Drost (Dana Corey), Southampton; five sons, Laverne Drost (Brenda), Southampton, Brian Drost (Linda), Roger Drost (Sharon), Dwight Drost (Sherry) and Bernard Drost (Ann), all of Fredericton; twenty two grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two sisters, Halene Price (Edmund), Campbell Settlement and Della Peterson, Virginia, USA; two brothers, Eldon Drost (Beatrice), Newfoundland and George Drost (Phylena), British Columbia; several nieces and nephews.

Harry was predeceased by a son, Wayne Carter Drost in 1988, a sister, Ruby Arnold, brothers, Avery, Elwood, Gordon, Roy, Raymond, Wendell, Arthur, Eddie Drost and two infants.

Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Wednesday from 7 to 9p.m, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, February 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer officiating.

Interment will be in the Lenentine Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Harry's eight children, Crystal, Janice, Charlene, Laverne, Brian, Roger, Dwight and Bernard.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Harry the family has suggested the Lenentine Cemetery or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Ronald Walter Allen

1929 - 2004

Ronald W. Allen of Stone Ridge passed away February 24, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Stone Ridge on April 23, 1929, he was a son of the late Walter and Leona (Brewer) Allen. Ronald was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by a daughter Lorraine Best (Daren), Stone Ridge; a son Murray Allen, Stone Ridge; a grandson, Tristan Best; a sister, Phyllis Sweeney, British Columbia; a brother, Vernon Allen (Marion), Stone Ridge; several nieces and nephews.

Resting at the Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129 Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand with visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the church on Friday, February 27, 2004 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dale Brewer officiating. Interment will be later at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gaylon Brewer, Robin Allen, William Allen, Shone Gracie, Jerry Brewer and Darren MacIntyre.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Ronald, the family has suggested the Canadian Cancer Society.

Annie Evelyn Martin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Evelyn Martin (McGuire) who passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on February 27, 2004 surrounded by her four children and her sister. Born in Nackawic on October 9, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Emma (Essensa) McGuire. Annie lived for most of her life in Nackawic and then made her home with her daughters in Fredericton and Sussex.

She is survived by daughters, Mary Williams (Robert), Riverview, Wanda Christie (late George Christie), Fredericton, and Linda Walker (Brian), Sussex; a son Frank Martin (Carol), Nackawic; grandchildren Angela Williams (Will Kealy), Mark Williams (Julie), Karen Stern (David), Lisa Sullivan (Stephen), Trina Kitchen (Michel Coté), Sean Kitchen, Wayne Christie, Ryan Walker, Michael Walker, Danielle Walker, Jeremy Walker; great grandchildren Michael and Victoria Jones and Rylee Coté; her sister, Viola Davidson, Fredericton; several nieces and nephews.

Annie was predeceased by her husband, John W. Martin on January 28, 1978, a sister, Kathaleen McGuire, a brother Earle McGuire, a sister-in-law, Annetta McGuire, a brother-in-law, Albert Davidson and a son-in-law, George A. Christie.

Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, 199 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Monday, March 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. by Fr. Dan Melanson. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be later at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Annie, the family has suggested St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Jeremiah (Jerry) Gordon Riordon

1910 - 2004

Jerry G. Riordon of Lower Woodstock passed away March 1, 2004 at Carleton Memorial Hospital. Born at Lower Woodstock on November 23, 1910, he was a son of the late Jeremiah Thomas Riordon and Almina (Stickney) Riordon.

He is survived by his wife, A. Josephine (Bull) Riordon; a daughter, Shirley Murray (Tom), Lower Woodstock; two grandchildren, Leanne Murray, Fredericton and Brian Murray, Florenceville; several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was predeceased by an infant daughter, Juanita Katherine, a sister Katherine Riordon and five brothers, Joseph, Rankin, Benjamin, Wilfred and Murray Riordon.

Resting at his home, 4 Hodgdon Road, Lower Woodstock with visiting hours Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gertrude's Church, Woodstock on Friday, March 5, 2004 at 11a.m.. Interment will be later at Calvary Cemetery.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Jerry, the family has suggested the Canadian Red Cross or St. Gertrude's Church renovation fund.

Judith Ann Seminatore

Judith A. Seminatore of Magaguadavic, passed away February 29, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton. Born in Noblesville, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Charles West and Bernice (Pritchard) Sigman. Judith was a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church in Harvey Station where she served as Sunday School superintendent and a youth leader.

She is survived by her husband, John J. Seminatore; a daughter, Sandra B. McFarlane, Calgary, Alberta; a son, John David Seminatore (JD) (Rena), York Mills; five grandchildren, Michael Seminatore (Kristina), Edmonton, Alberta, Nicholas Seminatore, Seattle, Washington, Marcie Seminatore, Fredericton, Emily Ann and Glena J. McFarlane, Calgary, Alberta; two great grandchildren, AJ and Colby Seminatore.

At the request of the family there will be no visitation and a private memorial service will take place at a later time.

Clifford H. Morehouse of Zealand passed away March 2, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Zealand on November 21, 1931, he was a son of the late Harold and Iva (Stytham) Morehouse.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Juanita J. Morehouse; a brother, Irvine Morehouse (Ferne), Zealand; his mother-in-law, Janie Morehouse, Zealand; nephews Amos Morehouse (Ann), Timmy Morehouse, both of Kamsack, Saskatchewan; a sister-in-law, Joan Brewer, Kamsack, Saskatchewan; great nieces, Anna Sarah and Anna Lisa Morehouse, both of Kamsack, Saskatchewan.

He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Iva Morehouse, grandparents, David and Wilda Morehouse, a brother, Wilmot Morehouse and nephews Andy and Wade Morehouse.

Resting at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 1407 Route 104, Zealand with visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the church on Friday, March 5, 2004 at 3 p.m. Rev. Ian Wetmore and Rev. Patricia Drummond officiating. Interment will be later at Zealand Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers Jerry Burtt, Dale Burtt, Eric Crouse, Edwin Haines, Murray Haines and Lyman Lawrence.

Ernest Earl Corey

1918 - 2004

Ernest E. Corey of Nackawic passed away March 3, 2004 at Pine Grove, Fredericton. Born at Temperance Vale on May 5, 1918, he was a son of the late W. Allen and Maud L. (MacFarlane) Corey. Ernest was a lumber and pulpwood dealer, a respected businessman and community leader. He loved people and his church and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. Above all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Nothing pleased him more than to see family and friends coming for a visit at his home, the cottage at the lake or hunting camp.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Nellie (Morrison) Corey; two daughters, Janice Flemming (Dr. Neil), Fredericton, Judy Jackson (Judge R. Leslie), Woodstock; two sons, Vincent Corey (Judy), Fredericton and Dr. Allen Corey (Sandra), Nackawic; a sister, Nina Corey, Saint John; nine grandchildren, Trevor Corey (Melanie), Lisa Corey, Greg Flemming, Darren Flemming, Kevin Flemming (Kim), Matt Flemming, Melanie Corey (Marcel Pineau), Jennifer Jackson and John Jackson (Lori); six great grandchildren, Brendan and Brianna Corey, Owen Flemming, Hanna Pineau, Joshua and Jillian Jackson; several nieces and nephews.

Ernest was predeceased by grandchildren, Mark Corey, Elizabeth Corey and Mark Flemming, two sisters, Alma Stairs and Ethel Stairs, eight brothers, Harry, Norman, Ellis, Kenneth, Fraser, Gordon, Clifford and Chester Corey.

Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Nackawic Baptist Church, 94 McNair Drive, Nackawic on Friday, March 5, 2004 at 3 p.m. Pastor Peter Smith officiating. Interment will be in Otis Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Merlin Bradley, Merlin Fox, Vernon Love, Donald Corey, David Corey and Carolyn Kerton.

Active pallbearers will be grandchildren, Trevor Corey, Greg Flemming, Darren Flemming, Matt Flemming, Melanie Corey and John Jackson.
